There’s been discussion in CTH boards about changing party affiliation from R to NPA is some states. Basically to buck the Uniparty but I have a different take on it. My daughter made this change because of fear of job retaliation now or in future. Many younger people work in woke industries, companies or for woke bosses. The cancel culture is real.
Regardless of whether the change is a good idea, it is a sad reality that people have to go underground to avoid being economically cancelled. Big tech, MSM etc. are forcing people to self censor and people now have to become underground insurgents. Young people have to watch their affiliations, their posts and opinions. The left is winning on this front.
The left just inaugurated a fake “president” and is winning on all fronts, thanks to the spineless rinos…

I think the RINOS loved that we slapped the misnomer label of “cowardly” on them, while in real time they were barreling ahead with the other wing, working in tandem to deliver the knock out punch that would take us out – and keep us out. Son of a gun, they were working hard after all, shoulder to shoulder with their “opposition” counterparts, to undermine and destroy the Republic, along with their own constituents.

I do agree with much/most of your comments. The Democrats fight dirty and corruptly to achieve their objectives. The have strong willed, loud activists that don’t ask for consideration, they demand acceptance. The Republicans are not consumed with activist. Two main things are Right to Life and 2nd amendment. And the 2nd amendment is a defensive position. Conservatives are not loud and demanding.
I think we need politicians that are COMMITTED conservative principals and fight.loudly and hard to defend them and fight against the Democratic activists. You rarely hear from our side-maybe an interview on FOX, Newsmax, etc. That’s about it. There is no strong leadership in the House or Senate. There is no passion. So we continue to get rolled.

My uncle for years registered as a Democrat even though he wasn’t to keep his job and avoid grief from neighbors. Has been going on for years in heavy union areas. That’s why registrations aren’t accurate predictors of votes in the rust belt.

I was Dem for years — supporting workers and middle Americans against corporate elites/financial bigwigs. Add to that a passionate hatred of all Bushes and mostly fake “conservatives.” I also viewed those anti-science global warmers and the wealthy who were getting wealthier from windmills-solar financial disasters as mainly Repubs, too.
Then came Clintons. Rock and hard place.
I was more than pleasantly surprised to find TCH many years ago. President Trump inspired me to change to change to Republican. I am now Independent and waiting!

I have been registered NoPartyPreference since 2003, when I could not endure any more country club busie type Republicans. President Trump was the first since Reagan to tell it like it is. Especially with GOPe AGAIN show it’s true colors, I’m completely on board with erm9164 and pyromancer76.
I believe pyromancer said he/she did change to Republican b/c of Trump but has now switched to Independent b/c of the outrageous behavior of the Rs. He/she has done what many here have done– leave the R party to become Independents to make their dissatisfaction w/the Rs clear.

The other day, I watched a Guiliani video re: 3rd party v R party. I agree with him. He believes we must remain w/the Rs and change the party from within. The frustration I have, though, is the failure by Guiliani to say anything more about the stolen 2020 election… which is absurd.
He also addressed the issue of many Rs refusing to vote going forward and opposed that too but said nothing more about FIXING our dangerously rigged, non-existent election system… or … correcting the travesty of 2020. The loser of that election sits in the WH and OBVIOUSLY that cannot be permitted to continue for 4 years.
I am getting quite annoyed w/all this BS and the inability to do SIMPLE things– bring corrupt people to justice with ample evidence of criminality AND simply ensure that massive election fraud is not PERMITTED to occur.
We will see what happens with the USSC election fraud cases tomorrow or Tuesday. I am very angry with the inability of the entire US Govt- Trump admin and current admin– to enforce the Rule of Law. Its quite intolerable.
It would take decades to rid the republican party of the establishment and they won’t just go away without a fight which will impede any hope of getting the right candidates to run for the MAGA side of the repub party. We need a clean slate right now with millions of us participating and support for the right leaders going forward. I get really frustrated b/c everyone who says we must dump the R party … never seem to think through what the RESULT will be… & likely for a minimum of 6+ years. Why 6? B/c we are stuck w/McConnell for 6 years b/c he just won in 2020…as have many others.
We can only remove several every 2 years.
How many rep and senate seats will be available in 2022? Someone said 22 rep seats. Lets say the MAGA candidate wins them all, which we will not.
The result will be 200+ DEM reps, 160+ R reps and 22 MAGA reps. WHO controls the House? The Dems will.
What if we do the same thing w/all state legislative seats? Rs control most state legislatures now but in 2022, DEMS will take control of 85-90% of all state legislatures too. How will that advance the MAGA agenda?
I really struggle to understand WHY those pushing a 3rd party have NO concern– none– about the OBVIOUS result of starting a 3rd party to compete against just R party?
Often, I wonder whether those promoting a 3rd MAGA party — w/out the slightest concern that doing so will CAUSE the DEM Party take control of the entire US GOVT and 90%+ of all state govts– are really Dems in disguise.

If those back in 1854 who saw the Kansas/Nebraska act as the last straw… had thought another party would be a lost cause, we wouldn’t have the Republican Party which was able to sweep The House 4 years later and have it’s 1st POTUS elected 2 years after that. That Republican Party that was founded back then WAS a 3rd party composed of a myriad of lesser parties that pretty much rolled into one.
Since Trump came down the escalator, I have become completely convinced that all of our major institutions, especially in Fed’l gov’t, as well as major national corporate (with some Corp.exceptions) are utterly corrupted. DOJ/FBI – beyond repair.
The benefit of being “independent” or as in my state “no party” is that you are not supporting Republicans in Name Only who are globalist neocons out to start endless wars and destroy the middle class. They have been lying to us and manipulating for us while they enrich themselves and their ilk.
In my state if you are “no party” you can vote in either primary the Dems or the Republican, you just designate by election so you only vote in one primary. At this moment in time, that is useful. I am done giving any support, money, or votes to the likes of Liz Cheney, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Nikki Haley, the Bushes, Mitt Romney.
Perhaps like many of us who have been independent for years, we choose to follow the party that best nominates candidates that are America first and conservative. Lately, that means republicans especially when PTrump affiliated himself with them. Right now, neither major party is anywhere near what we want so the best place is somewhere neutral.
Maybe we all are waiting—for a new party, a new political direction, new leaders, to join. A MAGA party.

The idea that there are two parties is a cruel joke played on the American people. I have been a registered Republican all my life. I can count on one hand the number of politicians in my 40 years of voting that have actually made a difference.
In my opinion, the battle for the soul of this country will not be won by continuing to vote for the “Big Club”, but rather by taking the advice of Dr. King and voting for citizen representation based on the content of their character.

Right… in PRACTICE/reality, we do have a uni-party. But on the BALLOT, there will be 3…. three… parties: D, R & a 3rd MAGA party that will accomplish the same thing 3rd party candidate Ross Perot accomplished — giving control of the US Govt to the dems.

The thrust of my point was both parties are equally corrupt (perhaps I failed) and we might fare better by spending more energy on local elections(i.e. Antrim County) vs. virtue signaling party affiliation. I stated that my “affiliation” has always been Republican, but I am not proud of it. I wanted to puke after voting for Cornyn, but I did…”Vote straight R on election day” was all I heard and read, then did so. I felt it would help PDJT. Now where are we?

Bottom line: Trump is not saying he wants to start a 3rd party. He is saying he wants to take control over the R party which we can do in 2022. McConnell is old and not liked. He needs to be replaced and he is not all powerful.
However, IF Trump says he will start a 3rd MAGA party, I would follow him b/c I would know he believes we cannot take control of the R party, which is the EASIER hill to climb. Building a 3rd party from the bottom up, from scratch is a huge hill to climb and likely not possible by 2022.

Yes, discussing with my wife last night that we have removed off our wish list a number of things we wanted to do (travel etc.) but can’t because of ‘covid’ restrictions/lockdowns. At some point we will forget they were ever on our list. Like I have forgotten Lou Dobbs was cancelled, his voice removed from the debate. We will become the mask, we are being conditioned, shaped, it isn’t only the most recent event (s), it is occurring cumulatively and subtlety.
When the baby boomers are gone, even with all their flaws, the history of our America will change drastically forever because there will be few who can tell the real story anymore at that point.
If we don’t stop this slow roll to oblivion of our American freedoms, history and Constitution, it will be all gone before we realize what happened. It won’t seem so slow at that point, but who will remember the real ‘old days’?
Our world and aspirations are being drawn into a smaller box as freedoms diminish. And we operate within this new construct designed by the totalitarians, statists whatever you want to call them. A couple months ago, I heard a professor from Yale or Princeton in a discussion about socialism v. liberty. His absurd conclusion, after several minutes of unintelligible drivel, was that it is a balance between the individual and the community. He went on to describe symbolic “fences” that circumscribe the individual so that within those parameters he is completely free to do what he wants to, because it is safe. Freedom is not really possible outside of the “fence” because it is dangerous.
Liberals tell the truth only when questioned by fellow liberals and when they believe only a liberal audience is listening.

Many, maybe a majority, of young people don’t consider it evil. They accept it because it’s what they have been told about at school. The education system is a huge issue in why our younger generations are so willing to accept socialism/communism as not that bad.
They do not know what they do not know.
We have failed them hugely for not demanding and overseeing what our kids are being indoctrinated with in their education experiences. How many parents actually look at the text books and curriculum their children in K-12 are learning?? How many attend school board meetings regularly or meet with their kids teachers regularly? How many parents demand better education results than teaching to the state tests?
If we don’t get a change in the education of our kids, it won’t matter what we think about America. They will never understand this country or it’s roots because they-the majority of our kids for generations to come- will never know them.

I calculated early on that the war on covid was going to cost $50 k per household in new debt. However that assumed an end. At this point there is no foreseeable end to government going to the trough. If you are just going to print money and warehouse the debt at the Federal Reserve, why is anybody paying taxes?

Consider this pledge proposed by Task Force Navy One, which was formed in June to develop strategies to combat discrimination in the Navy:
“I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor in the Navy. I pledge to engage in ongoing self-reflection, education and knowledge sharing to better myself and my communities. I pledge to be an example in establishing healthy, inclusive, and team-oriented environments. I pledge to constructively share all experiences and information gained from activities above to inform the development of Navy-wide reforms.”
Reread this pledge and think of the young men and women who will be asked to commit to it.
First, how many new recruits will have any idea what this “intersectionality” they have pledged to advocate for and acknowledge actually is?

Thanks, good read. I have a feeling the guilty party list is very long. The only way we may ever get data from the equipment and answers to questions that Dominion refuses to answer is for someone with standing to sue Dominion et.al. The biggest obstacle to overcome seems to be the fact that DVS and associated equipment are designed so data manipulation cannot be traced. From the start of the Trump Presidency in 2017, Pence seemed too aloof to be loyal. He has no personality, a sort of sterile zombie, not much different than Zuckerberg. Although, he spoke well at some of the rallies, and so seemed to be okay.
As the case against General Flynn unraveled, I began to suspect that Pence was the reason Trump fired Flynn, and that Trump acted to hastily in that matter.
Pence did not handle the Coronavirus Task Force very well in my opinion. He should have challenged Fauci and Birx instead of letting them set the narrative about masks, lockdowns, and their anti-Hydroxychloroquine agenda. Pence seemed timid and weak as leader of the Task Force.

I have been really bothered by the Face Masks, and I have actually reached the point of feeling pity for those who wear them. It breaks my heart.
That said, I found this statement — which I have modified — that gives me some strength.
“My freedom does not end where your fear begins.”

Me too – I hate them on many levels.
I must wear them at work – I am not in a position right now to quit or I would.
Fortunately for me, I only have to wear it for short periods of time as I mostly work independently. We are however, expected to show up at the door wearing mask, where temp is taken and “none of your business” questions are asked.
One is then issued a fresh mask and a “pass” to proceed to work. I work at a State Hospital (in-patient Mental Health).
As I make my way to the door, my mask is NOT ON. As soon as I clear the door at the end of the day, my mask IS OFF. Many at work, unfortunately, continue to walk around outside by themselves with MASK ON.
We’ve been instructed to do so but I refuse to do so. I am doing what I can for now.
I have to wear one in my local WalMart. So I take a bottle of water in with me and leave my mask below my chin and continually take a sip of water as I shop. No one has said anything.
Good way to deal, I’ll remember that one.

Many states do not require masks in public indoors settings, although employees of businesses may be required to wear them by their bosses. In these situations, don’t pity customers who wear masks. They can refuse to wear them. But, many choose to wear them anyway, because of fear, or wanting to be compliant, or because of what the fake news media says. Don’t feel sorry for such people. They deserve the annoyance, hassle, and discomfort of enduring those dreadful masks because they lack the will to think critically, and the courage to resist.
