As a person who has NOT watched broadcast news for 16+ years—I turned off Faux News Neil Cavuto in 2004 and have only watched one-to-one interviews, live press conferences or *muted* Election night reporting—I see the origins of this situation and how they most likely will be resolved EXACTLY as you have stated in both posts. A person who does not let someone else “tell” him/her the news or even what is newsworthy finds various, reliable sources for information and becomes MORE informed and very good at “reading the tea leaves” when information is not readily available or limited. I was way too nice a guy when I was an employer & had a salesman take my receptionist/bookkeeper & a couple guys from the shop & start a business with a similar name! All because I would not lower my prices 30% so he could sell more!
Even my own sister put my parents in a Nursing Home waiting facility, after she conned them into “selling” her their house for cheap, while I was away for 2 yrs. And she was telling our circle of friends, how much of a jerk I was for going out of the country for 2 yrs. & leaving her to take care of our parents! I was in the will, then I was not in the will, when I came back!
My reality is that I was shot in the head in 68′ in a hunting accident, left with a limp on my right ankle & limited use of my right hand. When I was about 17, there was an article in the local paper that was about “Only about 20% of handicapped people actually achieve independence in their lifetimes” & I swore that I was not going to be a burden on Society at the time.
So I studied everything that I thought was practical & made common-sense to be “employable” or to where I could be self-employed! I became the go-to guy for all my friends, who had a question about something, because I spent so much more time researching life, than they did.
I first heard Donald Trump’s name mentioned in 78′, in UWO Business School, when the prof. told us about the Trump Family in NY! They were mentioned as successful Real Estate Developers & I tried to emulate Donald Trump in my own life, as he was a mentor of mine all thru the 80’s!
I was estatic when he finally made the announcement that he was running for President, because he kept getting asked during the 80’s & he would not commit to it, unless no-one else could do it, so he would.
Now that I am retired, my passion is trying to think like Donald J. Trump & see how close I can get to his decisions! I am right about most things in life, as I spend more time than most researching “how & why” people do the things they do & I know what does not work compared to what works!
I wish I could tell everyone here that I am a retired special-investigator for law enforcement to make you all fell more confident, but you know, life is just common-sense & if you are honest & not greedy, you will get along with most people, except Liberals!

Here’s some tertiary messaging that is telling. On I-395 in Virginia south of DC, it said on the electronic signs heading into the city that I-395 was closed crossing the Potomac, and to find alternate routes.
It was posted on signs — including ones well south of it and heading southward about road closures January 19-21, and even to “avoid” the city! So…which is it? This is not inauguration day but the day before, and many people aren’t off from work today or the next two days. How much more of a scare-mongering boogeyman type of messaging can it get?
Meanwhile, I don’t recall such widespread posting of caution during the attacks on the White House perimeter and the burning of cars and buildings. In fact, when largely peaceful (sic) protestors blocked a Virginia-DC bridge on multiple nights and reportedly intimidated multiple people not complying with their takeover, I don’t recall widespread coverage and warnings but more of the nature of a neighborhood police call update after the fact:

Just FYI, many of the Federal Buildings in DC are closed and have been closed since the “Plandemic” last year. All are teleworking. I work on a contract to DOT although I am not based in DC, all my Federal teammates are located in DC.
Last week employees of DOT in DC were told they would be unable to go into the office buildings for any reason for the next 2 weeks.
Though many are teleworking, there have been people coming in even in the fed. They’ve had the essential core and others beyond that have some returns depending on agency.
