The question you pose is not frivolous.
In looking at the President’s choices for the Medal of Freedom, he has focused on those that could be characterized as ‘champions’ in an enduring sense, those that have consistently striven for excellence to such an extent that they are emblematic of the American Spirit (in my humble opinion!).
The choices a President makes will admittedly bear his own personal stamp. But, to your point, such honorifics can certainly be trivialized.
In the cases of Jordan and Nunes, I think these are magnificent choices, since these two individuals, especially, chose truth over fiction while so many others contented themselves with fiction, and neither placed his own political ambitions above their struggle to bring the facts to the American people.
These medals are especially well deserved, I believe!

Kind of killed the whole FB experience. And they put all kinds of ads in my newsfeed to take up the space that used to be my friends’ posts.
I deactivated it several times for a couple of weeks, but then just logged back in. I really did like seeing pictures, especially from extended family living far away. The day after the election I deleted my account for good. I don’t miss it one bit. In fact, it feels good.

Thank you Sync. While I’ m over 70 (barely) I have lived with minor neurological issues for a decade after an adverse reaction to a “safe” fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Hence, I am leary of ANY medication, even when deemed “safe” by the “experts.”
My husband, on the other hand, is far more trusting of the science, and will most likely opt for the Covid vaccine. I have been encouraging him to wait until he has the option for a non-mRNA vaccine like J&J.
Political pressure and a personal investment (not necessarily financial…that I don’t know) by Fauci in the mRNA technology which has no long term safety record in humans or any other living thing that I’m aware of, makes me feel this has been terrbly rushed.

My generation (X I think? Born in the early 70’s) grew up with real history. We lived through the 80’s. I STILL have the nightmares from when I was a kid and my Mom let me watch The Day After on TV….dreams so real of the mushroom cloud, so hot I could feel it and I’d wake up screaming. That still happens.
Because I was so scared, I delved in and learned. I studied Communism hard. I took Russian in high school. I wanted to be a journalist, and because of the times, Russian seemed like a good language to learn. I also took Urban Studies and many “Black History” classes and “African-American Lit” classes because they satisifed two requirements in the degree path.
Those of us left at this age – (and we’re not THAT OLD) ought to know the true history before they got their hands on our history books. McCarthy was right. They are here and they never stopped. MLK, Malcolm X, killed because they called out the Communists that were infiltrating and using the Civil Rights movement. Jesse Jackson played ball and got the Rainbow Coalition. And make no mistake about it, it is no mistake that the BLM/Antifa riots touched off in Minneapolis. I grew up there. I know Keith Ellison. He couldn’t pick me out of a crowd – but – he was a Community Organizer back in the day, trying to organize Tenant’s Unions. I attended the rallies. I was young and forming and learning. I could write a book about Minneapolis politics. Ellison is a big key to what is going down in our country.

Why be the best thug in that regime when you can be a peaceful, productive, and free citizen in our present society?
No, the alternative is not viable. So, they need to figure out where to steer their efforts without much coordination so as to turn our situation back to a stable republic of laws and civil rights that are respected by the republic. Millions of people doing exactly that won’t need twitter to be able to make it happen. They’ll know what the correct course of action is at the ground level if they believe in their constitutional republic.

By 2020, Glen’s media empire dreams pretty much imploded, and he issued 1 or 2 mea culpas begging to be relevant again. However, it was much too late. Glen never really bothered to understand the entrapment and frame job that was the Russia Hoax and Impeachment mess. He can fade away for all I care … it’s time for new blood.

We form a 3rd party based upon MAGA and then proceed to ‘strategically’ replace the GOPe with MAGA representatives from the inside. MAGA votes with the GOPe when it aligns with MAGA it doesn’t when it doesn’t. The key is we are replacing GOPe but we are ‘outside’ the GOPe system of control.
We start with seats where MAGA can win in three way race (MAGA, GOPe, Dem). Where we can’t we run a primary MAGA-GOP opponent against the GOPe. This is the path DJT successfully used BTW. Where even that doesn’t work we hold our nose and vote GOPe. The prime directive is we never flip a GOPe seat, no matter how horrible, to a Dem. Remember if we lose the State we lose the voting system and State becomes full on Communist complete with a vote flipping system.
We need to do this until this 3rd party effectively eclipses the GOPe and becomes the defacto 2nd party. After we are done we will have only two parties. One will be an America First Party and the other will be an American Last Party. It won’t be hard decision to make for any real American, whether your family has been here for generations or just arrived..

Mad Mike, i think your theory has a lot of merit. The myth of the two party system must prevail. It benefits both to have a foil. There are ideological differences on societal issues, but most important is reelection and to do that the base must be energized by issues such as this.

I think he’s still being given bad advice in the matter of Julian Assange and of Edward Snowden.
I think the bad advice is coming from Mike Pompeo. It must be, because it’s our State Department wanting to extradite Mr. Assange.
I’m thinking of our president’s legacy. Freedom of the press is what made America great. The press right now is electronic, and it’s Julian representing the last vestige of what it used to be.
I’m thinking that Julian Assange will never be prosecuted by the Biden regime, because they won’t have to. He will be released from custody just in time to die, and the Left will blame his persecution on the Trump administration.

I don’t know about CTH 2.0 but before AdRem said anyone with Proton seemed to always go into moderation. Maybe AdRem can address this.
