Yesterday, I took a gander at a list of “alternative” websites, just to see the “mood” of the populace. They are all “Patriots”. They are all saying just about the same thing: “this is the hill to die on”. I agree.
What is left of Twitter is a Leftist cesspool. They just love echoing one another’s hatred towards the majority of the American population.
I’m still waiting for inauguration day, hoping against all hope that Biden/Harris will not be inaugurated, but I think my hope is misplaced.
Pelosi is acting like Marie Antionette – hopelessly self-centered, living in a bubble of delusion about her purpose in life. She lost her soul a very long time ago.
Pence’s career is 100% over. So be it.

I just created a new group on Gab called Deplorables Planning for Future. The purpose is to define where we are today and how we get from here to where we need to be. I made it private to try to minimize too much unrelated stuff getting posted and cluttering up the timeline. I will check a couple of times a day for member requests if anyone is interested.

I will check. It said the password was only for administrators so I don’t understand why you would be prompted for it.
It might be because the site is busy. I tried to get into the group and it told me it was private. After a minute or 2, it suddenly connected me. I thought I had made a post, but evidently it takes a long time to save it and I must have left before it completed. Please try again and wait a few minutes and see if that makes any difference. I tried to remove the password, but the password field is blank and there is no other option to turn it off.
I made another post and clicked post, waited a couple of minutes and the screen changed back to What’s on Your Mind? and it still says there are no posts in the timeline.
I like the organization and functionality of Gab, but my guess is they have maybe 48 hours at the most to get their act together. I went to help and couldn’t find the answer. Clicked on contact us which simply goes back to help.
I’m not going to spend time today on it. Hopefully they are trying to bring more servers online or maybe their pipe is too small. Until that is addressed, the site is unusable.

I was walking past the Capitol and flash bangs were already going off and this was before Trump’s speech had ended.
Who is Raheem Kassam? What does he mean by ‘walking past’? How close was he? Typically flash bangs are used inside a confined space. They are used to distract and disorient a subject person(s). Was Raheem inside that space? The flash bang produces a concussive force and intense light and very loud sound. Was Raheem disoriented? Did Raheem feel the effects of the device? Was he even close enough to discern the difference between, say some other noise maker and the flash bang? What, if any, prior experience with flashbang devices does Raheem have? How exactly does Raheem objectively conclude it was indeed a flash bang device?
I’m not intending to be the contrarian but when someone makes a statement as weighty as this, I would first question as to what they sensed and why they concluded as they did. Still remaining is how does use of a flash band confirm a ‘set-up’? Who were the belligerents involved on both sides of the ‘set-up’?

I was there as well, and 95% of the crowd never heard Trump’s speech because we were too far away and not in the theatre. You could pick up a few phrases now and then, but that was all. What ignited the crowd was Pontious Pence. Everyone, everywhere was speaking about that and getting very angry. Before that, it was a totally lovely positive crowd from all over the world.
And I believe he is also a graduate from Yale, though I may be thinking of his co-pilot.
There was a post (or more) by someone here who witnessed the same thing and, in fact, had to leave the area after being hit and gassed.
As for a set-up…..clear as day. Michelle Bachmann was there (inside) and agrees. Evidence is pouring out. But you know the narrative: “No Election steal evidence and no US Capitol set-up evidence.”
That was me landslide. I can absolutely confirm this. Flashbangs and tear gas and rubber bullets. And yes I left before the big push. Am happy to answer any questions

I saw the flash bangs and tear gas. I was near the Air & Space museum. Most shrugged if off as errant fireworks and had no idea what was going on because the Mall is huge and the only information coming through was about Pence through messaging services. Trump’s speech earlier on was muffled and could not really be heard at all.

The whole capital event seemed staged, what’s your take?
Ice hole, I am not sure if it was staged. But I am of the opinion that the police intended to incite the crowd. There was t ear gas, flashbangs, and rubber bullets being deployed around me and I saw no violence, at all. I was 20 feet or so in front of the plastic wrapped scaffold on the left. The people in the crowd that were inciting were different from the rest of the crowd. Different in demeanor and dress. Just completely different. These are my observations up until just before the crowd started to push forward. I left (hit by flashbang and teargas) very shortly before the push started.

I went to Parler back before the November elections as twitter was censoring conservative voices, but the the totalitarians shut that down. But I always had trouble with the Parler navigation. Gab is just like twitter, but run by a Christian and Trump.

Did you see that comment by Dan Bongino (part owner of Parler) before it shut down? He expressed something that he had apparently been holding back for a long time — that the owner of Gab was doing some sneaky shenanigans against Parler. I hope that is not completely true, as I have liked Gab too.
I read something of that a couple weeks ago. Also about the same time I heard a radio commentary by Bongino that I thought him unduly criticizing President Trump. Perhaps he is interested in increasing his ratings, perhaps it is something else, but since I heard him speak in that interview I am very wary of him.
Generally, I am wary of they who seem to blame others for their own difficulties.
Or as a minor owner of Parler he has a bit of sour grapes that Parler did not protect itself like Gab did with their own servers. That was a big mistake and it could be a long time before Parler ever gets running again or maybe never. Sorry for Dan but he knows what happened.

It was suggested here to download browser Dissenter which is a Gab browser with chat. I did that. The icon was the same as Google Chrome with the center circle white instead of blue. I asked about it here, but with the new format, the number of new contributors, and MUCH difficulty and time to see if a question is answered, I outdated not find if a response was made.

Practice discernment in how you respond to information posted here. The trivial and trite or fake or erroneous is not an indictment of CTH. Some who comment seem to treat CTH as if it is social media a la facebook. CTH is as serious as one wishes it to be. That is to say, I agree with you that many comments seem like theater. Spend some time to develop a list of trusted commenters. Pass by the others.
Also, if I were to follow a suggestion from another here, such as going to some website, I would first research it on my own. This especially so when it is a site that requires signing up with personal information.

Yep, and I see this all the time out there in the conservasphere. Over the past six months or so, I’ve seen one prominent site viciously attack three other smaller sites that never bothered them. It’s unbelievable.
As far as I know, Sundance has always risen above the fray, even when attacked by other so-called “conservative voices”. I’m thinking of one bloviating blowhard in particular whose name shall not be mentioned.
Don’t the Mercers own some or all of the unreliable Breitbart News Service? I remember them being shady, maybe even Never Trumpers.
During the election they played both sides to keep their ratings, supporting in some reports while bashing in others. Never knew where they stood.

I remember going to Candidate Trump’s first rally in Norcross, Georgia and there was a video played from our then senator David Purdue backing Trump. I mentioned it in a chat following an article about the rally on Breitbart because they denied that the video was played. When I wrote that I was there and the video was played, I was attacked and ridiculed.
They lied, why? It was very weird and I never trusted them after that.

I signed up to get on Parler but never got “verified” because it required personal info that I didn’t want to give. Same with Twitter. I didn’t like Parler format and only went there because so many had migrated there from Twitter. I’m not unhappy with the demise of Parler since I like the Gab format so much better…and appreciate the independent nature of the owner.

Read the Prologue, which is about Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln, and traces their histories up through the Union surrender at Ft Sumter, and preparations for the war ahead.
Pay particular attention to what the opposing sides were saying about each other, about the prospects of civil war, and what was going on behind the curtains.
Lots of parallels to today. Lots of reasons to believe that what the Left has planned for us is far more terrifying than we are awake to at the moment.

There is an entertaining interview of Foote in the book “Confederates in the Attic” by Tony Horwitz.
It almost sounds like Foote was mildly annoyed with the stardom that developed after the Ken Burns “The Civil War” documentary series.

I enjoyed both his “Civil War” and “Baseball” documentaries. Overrated or not, he knows how to tell a compelling story, and is basically the Stephen Spielberg of his genre.

The USA IS the land of milk and honey. Our enemies and “allies” in the world will ALL seek to conquer us this time… but they will likely WAIT until we have effectively destroyed ourselves in a civil war.
Depending on how bad it gets in the next 4 years w/a leftist/marxist/globalist regime in control of the US govt… we may have no choice but civil/revolutionary war BUT we are definitely not there yet… and I pray we never get there… bc we MAY win that battle/civil war but we will SO destroy/WEAKEN our nation in the process that we become easy targets for foreign enemies.
We must think, strategize, consider all the consequences of our actions. We must be wise and very smart.

After 1/6/21 I had resigned myself to B-B-B-Biden presidency/nightmare. I started to let my heart/hope began to creep in when the president didn’t concede, a true concession, “I’d like to congratulate President Biden and VP Harris on their election and may God guide their path”. Tongue firmly planted in cheek with the God reference, with those two godless freaks, but I digress.
But then in my acceptance I began seeing inklings from half-a-dozen places that something was up. I don’t need to hear everyone’s crack- pot theories, I understand this, but with a culmination of different sources, it stopped my slide. Keep in mind when speaking of veracity that perhaps the other side of the crack-pot equation is the ones that say, there is no evidence of election fraud and that walking corpse B-B-B-Biden got 82+ million votes, President Trump is evil, and we’re the insurrectionist.
And that in fact the president had to wait until the fraud was complete and every normal path had been exhausted (state legislatures, Legal, then VP (Brutus) Pence not denying the electors) … before he could invoke EO-13848. It made my “HOPE!” blossom again, and that maybe, just maybe the Rebel Force was going to strike the Death Star.
Then the mind kicks in and asks if he were to do it, invoke EO-13848 how would he enforce it? If the military is going to do it, would they obey his order? Before the same three or four people jump in and tell me that no way, I say it depends. You get past the Joint Chiefs aka politicians; the soldiers I know take Duty, Honor, Country and their oath to defend the country and Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic seriously. And President Trump is still CiC, we’ll see. On this one I’ve moved from no chance to 50/50. We’ll see.
Bottom line, he will do it if he thinks he can, he will not do it if he thinks he can’t. Both options are full of peril. But either way this remarkable man our Great American President Donald J Trump deserves our gratitude for his service to our nation. He has exposed the entire cabal and now “We Know”!

The same question can be asked of each an every CBC member and the mayors of each democrat owned city. Trump blocking them, the Courts found that Twitter was a public forum that Politicians weren’t able to block posts from showing up on their Timeline. Yet, at the same the so called “public forum” can BAN A SITTING PRESIDENT and it doesn’t even raise an eye brow from the same courts.
The ban has shown Twitter is NOT a “public forum”, and Jack Dorsey is not a businessman as President Trump was the most followed figure on Twitter! And by removing the President removed the LARGEST draw on that platform. Twitter needed President Trump more than the President needed Twitter.
