September 11, 2001, is a date that will forever be known simply as 9-11. As we reflect on the day we think of those we lost in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington DC; and we remember the courage and bravery of the heroic first responders. We will never forget.
on post in the Front Lobby of a Federal Correctional Institution watched it all unfold.
I don’t remember. But I do remember I was on whatreallyhappened.com shortly thereafter and have been wearing my tinfoil hat every since!
Working as a nurse in Post Op area of Outpatient surgery–it was a gorgeous blue sky day outside- patients always had on the TV while recovering-was taking out an IV and holding pressure and the first plane hit–it was surreal. My first thought was, my kids are in school 30 miles away, Imust get them. The world instantly changed in that moment.
I had just returned to my office after assisting a client with the use of one of my employer’s computer applications.
I was on the road when the first jet hit the towers and did not know what happened. I found out as I entered the office and people were watching on their computers. Then the second tower was hit as we were watching.
Cafeteria at work… watching on TV.
I remember driving in to work that morning (SE PA) and marveling at the beautiful blue sky.
God, knew he would be welcoming some special angels that day.
Did you see the Google doodle for 9/11? Powerful …
JK. They don’t have anything up at 8:12am.
Just like the one for Easter.
And Memorial Day. And Veterans Day. And Independence Day.
I guess there weren’t any lesbian poets born today, either.
It’s because of their H1B visa workers. They don’t have a clue about days important to Americans.
On the contrary – they studiously avoid honoring holidays important to Americans, and go out of their way to respect things important to leftists. Such as honoring obscure black woman artists and lesbian authors, for instance.
Entering the Elementary school where I taught first grade, each teacher added more details to the story. At first, everyone thought it was a plane that had a problem with the engine or a pilot that passed out and hit a building. After the students arrived they played in centers while I had the news on tv. It became very clear that we were under attack and I was in a classroom full of students with no idea how to protect them.
Where was John Brennan?
From sea to shining sea- now THAT is the $64,000 question!
A: Partying at Khobar Towers. After prayers.
An aluminum aircraft travelling 500 mph hitting the ground or the side of a steel reinforced concrete wall will essentially disintegrate. Small parts were there to be found in the aftermath which didn’t make it on the nightly news. Not a mystery.
oh, it’s a mystery alright.
767’s don’t just “disintegrate”, especially in 2 locations on same day.. there is the massive tail fin, other huge parts that would leave wing areas of destruction, other large passenger compartments, luggage, bodies, camera footage of at least one.. the pentagon did not have even ONE working camera that day? ..maybe the plane there was “epsteined”
Please note that his handle is ‘LoonsCall’. I think that that explains everything.
There are pictures, before the towers fell, from the Edison Park Fast parking lot across the street from the WTC Marriott Hotel where one of the jet wheel assemblies and I think part of the WTC building skin landed. In front of the entrance to the elevated walkway over to the Three World Financial Center….
The plane disintegrated in Pennsylvania. The memorial in Shanksville has an enormous collection of historical information, post-crash photos, recorded cell phone conversations of passengers with their family members, 9-11 exchanges, and physical artifacts. I had to search for the right word – mementos does not do justice to this history.
I was in my classroom of 1st year Spanish students, Period 2. A wonderful woman who worked as a Teacher’s Aide with me in the afternoons came running up the corridor stairwell, loudly shouting my name. Classroom doors immediately opened to see what the commotion was about: Algebra I next door; English down the hall.
As my T/A friend described what had happened with the plane at the North Tower, all the classroom TVs in the building “came on” – from the Office control panel – by mistake. The Admin folks were trying to watch in the Office, but in the shock of the moment someone fumbled with the control panel.
There it was, the North Tower burning, on live TV. We all assumed it was a horrifying accident. These wonderful, small town kids started to pray, and then we saw South Tower struck. A few minutes later the TVs went off as suddenly as they had illuminated. When the South Tower was struck there was a collective gasp in the room full of stunned 14 year olds, and then the tears began as the praying for those trapped inside continued.
We prayed openly, together, in public school: in our own room and then with other classes. We held hands, exchanged comforting hugs, students and teachers all huddled together, as we waited for more news.
The TVs were not turned on again, but we were kept informed as the tragic events unfolded. Next, within a two hour drive away, the Pentagon was hit, as we waited, knowing that the 4th plane had entered the airspace over western PA, destination undetermined.
The Flight 93 Memorial at Shanksville, east of Pittsburgh, is precious to us in Pennsylvania. It is the Memorial to the “Let’s roll” heroes who gave their lives to save the lives of other Americans by disrupting the 4th terrorist attack on the day of September 11, 2001. R.I.P. Blessed Heroes. You have our eternal gratitude for your sacrifice, your valor, and your patriotism. You are not forgotten.
Watching the live coverage of the 9-11 Memorial events. Shanksville is on screen. I should have gotten into my car this morning and made the 3 hour drive. Lord willing, next year without fail. President Trump is here in Shanksville today.
Something else that I will never forget, “Some people did something”. No chance of forgetting that one – ever.
Retired Magistrate here: In my office at Union County Common Pleas Court writing a decision from a hearing the previous day. Had my radio on and listened in horror as the newscaster reported what was going on. Informed Court personnel and the Judge I worked for. We discussed the situation and decided that hearings would go on. It was a very strange and somber day.
Camp Bondsteel. Kososvo
I had just started a new job and was getting ready for my 2nd day of work . Having breakfast at home TV morning show (GMA?) announced a plane had struck the World Trade Center, no details. Assumed it must be a small plane accident.
Driving to work, heard that a SECOND plane had hit the OTHER tower. Became alarmed; clearly, this is not an accident.
Spent the rest of the day at work in and out of training sessions, watching the news on TV. The video of the 2nd strike was so excellent, so clear, from the high quality TV cameras recording the first hit it looked like a movie. Had to remind myself it wasn’t.
Everyone was concerned. Should we close up? Orders coming to evacuate all prominent skyscrapers and public buildings such as state capitols and landmarks. Then the Pentagon was hit, and there were reports of planes crashing in Pennsylvania. Unconfirmed reports of buildings all over the country getting hit (later turned out to be false, but entirely believable at the time.)
Someone said, “9/11/2001 is the day the 1990’s ended.” A period of peace and prosperity between the end of the Cold War and the beginning of the War on Terror.
The 1990’s really were a golden age. No major geopolitical conflicts going on; no overwhelming social justice nonsense; no heightened racial strife; it was just a wonderful time.
So much so that the movies of the time are about how boring life is with nothing interesting going on, just go to work and spend your money (The Matrix; Fight Club; Office Space, all great examples.)
President Clinton, on leaving office in 2001, lamented that he hadn’t faced any big crisis during his 8 years in office.
We didn’t know how good we had it.
Except the music was vile for the most part.
Actually, certain 90’s bands are considered to be among the all time greats. Also, the 1990’s was the end of rock music as the dominant genre, as well as a last hurrah before music was computerized and digitized and made completely artificial (h/t to Rick Beato’s YouTube channel for that synopsis.)
Except the music was vile for the most part.
I respectfully disagree with you. I understand your sentiment and to a point I actually agree. However, the point of departure is this. The rot in our government was beginning to show, however, people, like me, refused or cannot believe that there was something seriously wrong with the government.
Nafta destroyed entire segments of industry in North Carolina. The wood making industry, ie, furniture, etc., was decimated and sent to China. Computer manufacturing and design were at a fast clip to China as well. People were struggling with the ‘China price’.
Illegal immigration was increasing despite the rhetoric that Bush and before him Clinton would stop it. I remember being appalled that clearly illegal aliens were being hired by the state government, that is, into state government positions, and it was against the law to ask their status. This was during the 90’s. I remember being on a military base which immediately sealed after 9/11 and I saw illegal aliens working in construction in the base. They typically have fraudulent papers and identification. If illegal aliens from Mexico could work in the base then what stops our very intelligent enemies from penetrating base security?
I recall that the Rwanda massacres between Tutsi and Hutu. This was the biggest genocide since WW2. German soldiers fired in anger during the Kosovo-Serbia conflict and this is the first time German soldiers have done so since WW2. Incidentally, Ron Brown was arkancided in a plane crash in Croatia. Israel was having a heck of time fighting PA and others during this time. They traded land for peace and did not get the peace. Extraordinary Rendition was created by the Clinton administration, specifically, by John Podesta. There was a lot of bad things happening and it finally spilled over to our shores.
This rot, corruption was masked by the booming economy powered by internet technologies for a while.
Yes, but those conflicts were all “minor” and regional in scope compared to the Cold War which preceded it, and the Global War on Terror that followed it. And yes – the rot was setting in, but NAFTA and MFN for China occurred later in the decade and the impacts weren’t felt until the late 1990’s and especially the early 2000’s.
The Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama globalist policies did decimate American manufacturing … but again, the effects really weren’t felt until late in the decade.
The effects of Nafta were immediate to the furniture industry in North Carolina. It was basically hollowed out by around 1997. The computer industry was reeling from Nafta since mid-1990’s and we were plenty worried about it. I recall the layoffs and the decimation of sites in the northern part of the US. It was an ugly time for the company and lot of people who never thought would be laid off lost their jobs. Some could not handle it and committed suicide.
The effects were immediate. Ross Perot ran on an anti-Nafta platform in 1992 and nearly won. The reason that he did not win, in my opinion, is that we believed that the government was good, unlike now.
Standing outside of a phone company building in central Connecticut, looking up at a clear blue sky,
wondering why no planes were visible (there was an approach to New York airports from Europe) when there was always some planes flowing minutes apart………
At 8:45 I was on the way to my desk when some one stopped me and ask: “Should there be plane in the corridor to the Twin Towers?”
I said NO because it was restricted air space and I asked why, because he said a plane hit one of the towers.
I got back to my desk and called the base and at 8:46 he came and said a 2nd plane hit and I was called to active duty for 2 years.
The following weekend a detachment was sent to go help in New York. On Sunday, I went to mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral. Every year since then I have prayed for the people that came down in those towers.
I do not know if anyone remembers this but the first person carried out of the rubble was the
Firefighters Chaplin Mychal Fallon Judge, the firemen said that he was the one who led all souls to heaven that day…
So yes, today is a very poignant day in my life and will never be forgotten…
Thank you for your service to our Nation, Eagle Driver, and for your assistance to New York in particular, in the immediate aftermath of this disaster. May God bless and protect you and yours.
Police lives matter.
Firefighter lives matter.
Military lives matter.
Doctor and Nurse lives matter.
All First Responders’ Lives Matter.
All Lives Matter.
warrpin1 – Heart Felt Thank you…
I heard woman names being announced today as among those who perished at the Trade Center and also ‘and her unborn child’ spoken after the names.
Baby, living and unborn, lives matter. ??
Yes, I remember that about Father well.

Colorado. Woke to a scream. Went down stairs, watched the first tower collapse, thought it was a nightmare, then tears flowed, then anger, followed by thoughts of revenge.
Years ago I took some friends from the U.K. to visit the GWB Presidential Library and Museum. I sat and wept in the 9-11 section, very emotional for me and still is.
I WILL NEVER FORGET!
In my office in rural Minnesota, preparing to attend a statewide conference in Minneapolis later in the day. People scheduled to attend that conference were flowing in from many areas and there wasn’t enough time to come to grips with the situation to get the event cancelled. So we were on I-94 headed for the cities, seeing fighters flying cover as we arrived. It was a pretty meaningless day in terms of the original conference intent – obviously no one could focus on anything. We all just wanted to get back home asap.
Received a phone call from a younger family member who was completely freaked out and asking, “What does this mean?” I made an observation to her about the target/nature of the attack and the vile sneak aspects of it being similar to the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
The big difference was Pearl Harbor was a military target. Still it did impact the whole nation like Pearl Harbor.
The Towers were purely civilian.
“….it did impact the whole nation like Pearl Harbor”
…..which was my exact point.
I was at home when my ex told me a plan had hit the WTC. I watched one of the towers fall live behind the clueless Today Show anchors. I remember when the Pentagon got hit as well, hearing a reporter say something about the building shaking. There were also many reports of suspected car bombs throughout DC. What a day.
9-11-01: In my living room, holding my 6 month old son. Today: helping that same 19 year old son with College Chemistry. Hold your families tight my friends, and cherish what is important in your lives. God bless you all.
I have a son with same age as yours, less a month. Saw the destruction at work on the TV within minutes of the first tower being hit. My rage and fear for my children’s future is as visceral today as on my hour drive home that day. The freedoms we capitulated in the form of the “Patriot Act” to gain a semblance of safety now haunt us more than we could imagine.
God bless you and yours.
Teaching middle school and I hadn’t turned the television off after morning announcements. A few minutes after the TV switched to network channels, we saw the carnage from the beginning. Our omnipotent administration did an all call to turn TV’s off. What?! And miss history in the making?! I didn’t. You know, sometimes my intercom malfunctioned.
Working in San Mateo Ca.. Up early and for some strange reason flipped on the TV. NEVER did that before . Saw the plane into the tower.. Went and woke up my buddies I was working /living with. We were shell shocked.
Was in Wales, UK. Husband and I had just taken a trip on the mountain railway to the top of Mt Snowden. There is a Cafe and souvenir shop at the top where people get off the train and we were in there having a coffee. It was afternoon in Wales. There was a t.v on in the cafe and suddenly everything stopped and we were watching the planes fly into the buildings. Nobody said a word, just watched in horror and disbelief. The journey back down the mountain was very quiet and surreal. Terrible day. Thoughts go out to everyone.
I was in Darwin, Australia. I was onboard the USS Peleliu. We got underway immediately for the coast of Pakistan. Later we landed the 15 MEU (USMC) who went to Kandahar. We hosted Johnny Taliban and participated in the initial attacks in early October. Spent 136 days straight at sea.
Interesting. I hadn’t really thought about all the deployment occurring within our military in the immediate aftermath.
343 NY fireman didnt come home to their families that night; first responders who put it all on the line for the benefit and safety of strangers, just like the cops do, every hour of every day whether in or out of uniform.
Defunding, disbanding has one goal: eliminate order so that a new order can be imposed. Facemasks, social distancing, destruction of small business, riots, breakdown of society, fixed elections, corrupt DAs, are nothing more than an extension by the same global cartel that engineered 911. The fake pandemic, the dishonest CDC is a line in the sand, the response by those seeking to save the republic has been PDJT. He is not alone, it appears sometimes that he is but he wouldn’t have gotten this far, he wouldn’t have been this successful if he was truly isolated.
We have the numbers, maybe barely but we have the numbers. Vote and spread the word. I’m hoping, praying the forces that PDJT now spearheads unleash and have a strategy to offset the coming fraud the traitors will commit in November.
Never forget that Soros, Sotero, Mike Robinson Obama, the CCP think they know Americans, but they do not. They cannot, they aren’t one of us. I have to believe there are still enough of us left. They wouldn’t have put it on the line and tried to rescue their brothers and sisters from a burning tower when the Muslims declared war and murdered 3000 Americans.
Feeding my baby, turned on the little tv mounted high in the kitchen. Thought it was an oil refinery in TX or something. Looked closer And actually watched live on CNBC as the 2nd plane rammed into the 2nd tower. I’ll never forget. God rest the souls of the innocent lives lost that day and damnation to all the guilty involved ?

We were out b-day shopping for my next to oldest. It’s his birthday. Then we went to the Dr’s Office for an appointment for my 9 months pregnant wife. We were going up the elevator and a woman was crying.
We asked what was the matter and she said a building in New York had a plane fly in to it.
Probably not that bad I said… (recalling the guy in texas and another in NYC that were prop planes)
Then the elevator opened up to the Dr’s office. Everyone was quiet and in shock and staring at the TV. I looked up at the TV and watched as the second plane hit.
My youngest, Little John was born the next day.
I’ll never forget. My sons will never forget.
Lyndehurst, NJ. Employee of mine was late due to traffic and came into my office and asked if I had seen what was going on outside my window – our offices looked right at downtown Manhattan. He was saying that the news said a small plane had hit the building. Others came into my office and as I was saying “there is no way that was a small plane” I saw the second plane coming in view and we all watched it live as it went into the second tower. Will never forget. We all watched the towers come down that day – remember the acrid smell in the air for weeks.
Can’t believe our government has used the powers given to them from this atrocity to try and remove a sitting President.
^^^This!^^^
Two things: yes!!! That acid air, for so long! And YES!!! ‘Can’t believe our government has used the powers given to them from this atrocity to try and remove a sitting President.’
Pls Lord God, make it ALL come tumbling down around the guilty!! ?????
Acrid* air, damn auto correct
Lets not forget 9-11-2012…..Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Turone Woods…RIP Heroes………
Today isn’t over yet. Look ahead to next year – 20th anniversary of the original strike.
Remember the heroes of Benghazi.
Thank you, Timothy, for ensuring we not forget the 4.
I have neither seen nor heard a word about Benghazi 9-11 in the news this morning. Are the 4th Estate wh0r8s deliberately ignoring it to spare its association with Hiden JObama, and to avoid reactivating memories of “Lock her up!”?
Today, the “blue Governors” of New York and Pennsylvania, and now the Secretary of Defense in D.C., have deprived us of our Constitutional Rights: the Right of Free Assembly, to honor our dead heroes.
Our Right to Freely Assemble is not merely infringed: It has been usurped.
We allowed the Patriot Act. We allowed the COVID Shut-Down, and it continues.
Now we’ve allowed them to cancel the public’s participation in 9-11 memorial events: private only.
Are we ready and willing to give up our national holiday of Thanksgiving with our families as well? I do not believe this will all end on 11/4/20.
We have already given up too much of our Constitutional Birthright.
We are in desperate need of heroes to lead us in forcing an end to this.
We need another Todd Beamer.
LET’S ROLL.
Right on warr – we have given up too much – time to stand up before it’s too late. On 9-11, I was entering my workplace, a military installation where I worked as a paralegal. They were searching the cars. When I asked why, they told me about the planes hitting the towers. When I got into the building everyone was watching the TV. It took me years to realize that our own government was complicit in this attack so they could enact the Patriot Act and create the TSA and exercise more power over the people. I used to disdain the idea that our own government could be complicit in something like this but when I saw the evidence laid out in a well-done video series, there was no denying the truth. Now, of course, it’s not hard to believe at all. These people are capable of anything.
Heading to the office, I was standing in line getting coffee with a half dozen other patrons with the man behind the counter all watching the first plane hit on the TV. Made it to the office, all quiet, the factory floor was humming. Told my secretary to turn on the radio as I dashed out the door for an appointment. While driving I was listening on the radio when the 2nd plane hit as I pulled into the parking lot, sat there taking it in. Once inside the whole office, a dozen people or so were huddled in an office watching a small TV. This was a larger factory a little over a hundred people normally very busy and noisy, all quiet. People had their radios now blaring and the shop foreman allowed it. It was to be a harbinger.
Already reeling from NAFTA, 9/11 was also the death knell for my factory and the one I was making the sales call on. This was repeated throughout my world. factories already hobbled were finished off.
For me 9/11 was the beginning and the end of many things.
At work. Fellow employee walked into our office and said a plane hit the world trade center. Thought it was a small aircraft at first. Went down stairs into a security lobby with a large TV live video. Stood dumbfounded with others and then saw the second plane hit. Knew at that point it wasn’t an accident. Got sick to my stomach, went home.
Hugged my wife for a long time when I got home and cried.
Have to add one thing
For a long time after, I was extremely frustrated at the lack of US retaliation. Yes, I hoped for a targeted nuke response.
One Sunday afternoon I was eating brunch with my wife and noticed commotion on the TV at the bar. Got up and asked the bartender what was going on. She said “We are bombing the sh*t out of Afghanistan.
I smiled and went back to finish my meal
I remember. I was driving to work and heard on the radio initial reports of ‘a small plane’ that had crashed into one of the towers. I got on the cell phone with my wife & she described the unfolding scene she saw on the tv. When I arrived at my office my secretary & I watched on a small tv I kept in the closet.
At the time I was working in Manhattan, two miles from Ground Zero. What I remember to this day is how our Flag was flying almost everywhere as we left the city by train in the early afternoon. Now, we have professional athletes taking a knee and disrespecting the Flag. They’re right down there with terrorists and other societal scum. You hear me LeBron? You hear me Colin?
Over the years I’ve found so many stories of the heroes of Sept. 11th. I’m sure there are more.
The first of the day: Rick Rescorla, who was head of security at Morgan Stanley. He was at the WTC during the first attack in the garages. When MS couldn’t/wouldn’t move he insisted on training. everyone on evacuation and drilled them. People would keep sneakers in their desk so they could walk down the stairs. He did a team approach and had sub groups on each floor that were responsible for making sure everyone in their group got out. There was even a training group in the building for perhaps the first time, they got out, because his training of employees was that good..
When the North Tower was hit, an announcement came to stay at your desk. Morgan Stanley was in the South Tower. Rick didn’t hesitate, he called for them to evacuate.
I’ve read stories that others on lower floors started down also and because of what Rescorla did they got a head start on emptying the building before The South Tower was hit 17 minutes later.
Rick went back in to double check, he was one of a handful of MS employees that died that day, while 2,687 got out mostly due to Rick’s training and calm approach that day.
Pres. Trump awarded Rick Rescorla the Citizenship Medal last year. People say it’s the second highest honor in the USA. I think of it as much rarer and less watered down than one given to every Tom, Dick or Harry that is friends with the current Prez.
I was a senior in high school. I was in US History class (yes they actually taught us correct US history back then in public schools). Another teacher ran in and said “turn the TV on”…rest is history…some forgotten history (as we are seeing today in this country. I’m here in a business right now with people who were not even born when this happened. They have no clue.
Underground on a PATH train from Hoboken NJ heading into the WTC station when the first plane hit. Got out of the smoky WTC alright. But then I was standing dumbfounded at the corner of Church and Vesey. Watched helpless souls jump to their deaths. And then the second plane hit.
Holy Cow, Jeff? I can’t imagine how you felt, wow!
I was home with my toddler, my elderly neighbor came to my door to ask me if I had talked to my husband and did he know what had happened, how it happened. (My husband was an air traffic controller at an en-route center).
I invited her in and put on a fresh pot of coffee. She asked me to turn on the TV, I obliged. We saw the second plane hit live, like many. We both knew our nation was under attack. My neighbor lost her brother at Pear Harbor and 9-11 brought back vivid memories of December 7, 1941 for her. My neighbor stayed with me until the next day. We watched the coverage, we talked, we cried.
Meanwhile my husband was at work, handling AF1. He was quite late coming home. To this day I have no idea what all happened, none of us do. The FBI held him and “debriefed” him. He was allowed to call me on an FBI phone to tell me where he was and that he’d be delayed. I immediately started peppering him with questions. He calmly repeated “Honey, I’m calling you on an FBI phone because they took my cell phone. I’m calling to tell you I have no idea when I will be home, I need to answer some questions and get debriefed. I do not have answers to any of your questions. Hopefully, I’ll be home sometime tonight, goodbye” click.????
He’s still angry with me to this day? He says, what part of I’m calling you on an FBI phone escaped your attention? Truth is I wasn’t really listening, at least not the 1st time.
Funny the FBI didn’t bother with reports of sketchy people taking flight lessons, but spent hours questioning a long time civil servant that happened to be working the radar at the precise moment AF1 decided to fly…….it wasn’t scheduled at that time. Not sure what all happened, I just know my husband did his job. I complained for years he didn’t even get a recognition letter. His reply was always, “But honey I did get recognized, I got my pay check” ? “I did my job, I got paid. Some days are tougher than others”
He still hasn’t told me anything that went on that day, but I know stuff did. He’s dudley do right and it’s classified and I don’t have clearance, even though he’s retired now? He may have a point, because I might post it here? He stayed with AF1 until it was out of the center airspace (not the norm). I know AF1 went into the warning area (military airspace), fighters were scrambled, and at least one airliner nearby turned off their transponder.
I know all that from a National Geograpic special on AF1. They play some of the air traffic tapes in the special. When it aired he was at work. When he got home I peppered him with questions, he asked me where I’d heard those things. I told him the special. He said, well let me watch it. He did, I asked my questions again. He said, “It happened exactly like they said honey, goodnight” ?
I know a lot of people dislike government employees and think they’re all worthless and raging liberals. My husband was neither. He took his job and his oath seriously from his first day until his last….and beyond.
I was #2 Steam Plant Operator (SPO) on board the Mighty Ike (CVN-69) and assisting the Cold Iron Watch in the #3 SSTG Dog House. The sump pump wasn’t auto starting and the sump was over flowing and impacting other motors and such. We were waiting on the Roving Electrician….when he frantically runs up- “Did you hear? A plane flew into the World Trade Center. A big plane!!!” He was frantic. Myself and the CIW just looked at him (this Electrician Mate Nuke was known for tall tales and BS) and told him to STFU and get these motors de-energized. He said he was serious….
That’s when I for the first, only, and last time had to respond to a real General Quarters (Battle Stations), set modified Zebra and ready the ship moored to the pier in port.

I was a junior in high school. I had gotten up early and was doing some level grinding in a video game. My dad came back from walking the dogs, came into the living room, and without a word, turned my game off and put the news on.
We watched it for the next hour, and then listened to the radio as he drove me to school.
I remember that day very well. I also remember the ANGER that pervaded the entire country for the next few weeks, the demands to make somebody pay, the growing realization that Islam – a religion nobody knew anything about – had done this to us. I also remember the “religion of peace” BS that Bush started spouting almost immediately, and the media blitz to shame people for their anger.
As long as you capitulate and subjugate yourselves to them, it is peaceful.

That was the conclusion 17 year old me came to about a year after 9/11, doing all the research she could. I still agree with that sentiment. Islam is a cancer that has been trying to eat the West for centuries. I joined the military, in part, because of that.
Of course, we got non-stop training under Obama about why Islam wasn’t bad and why the terrible policies of the Bush and Obama years would bring us victory. It’s sad, how many people are willing to ignore reality in order to make feel comfy and self-righteous. (And yes, I was part of that never-mentioned “young officer” purge that Obama committed.)
I was between IT jobs at the time. The night/morning before, I had the history channel playing in the background and they were going over “dangerous jobs” where the job at the time was replacing lightbulbs on skyscrapers as they touched on the importance of having those light on all of the time.
Later that day, of course, a friend called me and told me to turn on the TV to the news. The first building had been hit. I was like “Oh man! I was just watching a story about that sort of thing! What a horrible accident!” And I was watching when another strike hit the other building. After that, the assumption was changed from “horrible accident” to “WTF?!”
Not long after that, I got a job with homeland security…
Getting ready to teach high schoolers…saw the first attack…called mom and dad…started thinking how will I ever be able to explain this to my 6year old daughter? Wait! Will she be safe at school today? Panic, worry, prayer…we had nothing to watch at school, so I didn’t know more until later…tears, sorrow, shock during the next few days/weeks. I will NEVER FORGET.
This event is what led me to start paying attention, to research, to find places like this one. I was proud of President Bush during this time (not so much now), and I will always be proud of the survivors, the first responders, the Shanksville heroes, and the American people in general.
Thank you for letting us reflect here today…peace to all.
Working in midtown Manhattan when the planes stuck. I had worked in WTC during the first bombing in 1993 with no one alerting us to leave. Then I heard they told workers the same thing in 2001 – stay at your desk.- unreal. I watched on my computer as the Towers burned and fell with my brother on the phone who worked across the street from the Towers and I could hear his coworkers screaming as people were jumping. Finally I was able to leave the office in midtown and wallked all the way home to Brooklyn. Everyone was quiet. We had to walk towards the Towers downtown to get to the bridge to cross into Brooklyn. Very sad day that I cannot forget. So many neighbors lost family members and 5 of our Boston employees were on one of the planes.
Prayers always.
I had just gotten home (Burke, Virginia) night shift. Turned on TV saw what was happening. Got back in my car and drove on Parkway past Pentagon. Cars being diverted but after passing and seeing Pentagon. I still cannot believe to this day a huge plane made such a small hole. Where did the wings go? My neighbor was there at work. I went home and prayed on my knees for hours. Norma came home but she could not go back ever. So many lives still affected. God Bless the families who remain without loved ones. #NEVER FORGET and yes Timothy, never forget 9-11-2012
Getting ready to see my first patient of the day in Boston with the TV on in my private office. Within a year I closed that office and moved 80 miles away into a very rural area. Lucky for me I chose one of the few conservative areas in Western Rhode Island which turned into one of the smartest moves of my life..
I was sitting in the Boston airport that morning waiting for a flight to NYC to attend a meeting. I worked for a large corporation. Absolute chaos in the airport. HQ scoured flight reservations for everyone heading to NYC for the employees and they found everyone except me. They called the local office where I worked to see if I was there. No cellphones then, so no way to get in touch quickly with anyone. Family in another state knew I was traveling to NYC that day. They were watching it all on TV and were hysterical as there was no way to find me.
A few hours later, there were bomb threats to Boston hotels. It took 6 hours to get out of the airport and city that day. I was finally able to get in touch with my family and work about 7 hours later. They had closed the office and sent everyone home. To this day, it gives me chills to think that I probably saw those bastards in the airport waiting on those flights.
Never forget. God bless America.
Driving to work early that morning looking at the most beautiful blue sky thinking about my deceased father on his birthday. Got to the office and went to the news site and saw that a small plane had hit the WTC. Soon a co-worker came and said the employees were gathering in cafeteria and watching live on TV when second plane hit. I knew a lot of young Marines would soon be heading to war somewhere and I hoped we would kick Muslim ass like never before. I just never knew we would end up up with an Obama.
Every time I begin to doubt my reasons for condemning islam, I remind myself what they DID on 911.
9/11… the Armenian Genocide… their multiple attempts to conquer Europe… enslaving Christian European women as sex slaves, little Christian boys as mercenaries, white men as galley slaves, and the tortured deaths of black male slaves from
Africa … their occupation of Spain… their invasion and rape of the Byzantine Empire… their invasion of India… their violent conquest of the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa… 9/11 wasn’t a fluke, and Islam has been insanely violent from the very beginning.
Yes, Christianity has its atrocities, but we’ve never genocided a people in name of God, justified but the Bible.
Christainity instructs its followers to love, forgive and turn the other cheek. Islam teaches its followers to invade, convert, or put ti death all who wont convert or submit. Islam is not a religion, it’s a murder cult. People who try to *COEXIST* with them are fools.

A Desert Called Glass
They were all gathered in one place. The Hajj was the perfect time to have a strategy and coordination meeting. The blessings of Allah and his prophet were on them all. They had just sat down to a meal of traditional rice and lamb and were going to save the business talk for later. They had time. Their sources told them that their enemies were on the run and had unilaterally given up and gone home. The hated Americans had no stomach for a fight and abandoned Iraq, Afghanistan, and the rest of the Islamic world. Even the filthy Jews seemed to have pulled back their spies and allies to their own territory. This was the perfect time to go on the offensive. The entire Western world would learn submission.

On the border between India and Pakistan, a different conversation is taking place. A junior captain in the Indian Strategic Rocket forces has an uncontrollable smile on his face. “REALLY? You would not be shitting on me like this?” His commander confirms, “it is an order. From the top. We will be eliminating our nuclear stockpile as part of our new treaty with America and the Russians. A Global peace initiative.” The Indian captain smiles broadly. Good cheer spreads to the other officers in the room and he sat at his control console and began to enter the instructions.

35,000 feet over the Islamic Republic of Iran, an obsolete Russian Airplane was lumbering along on a direct path to Tehran International Airport. The pilot was hand chosen. He had lost his only son when Islamic terrorists stormed his child’s school in Belsen years earlier. He didn’t really care about the orders he had. Something about global peace initiative to reduce nuclear stockpiles. But he was really happy to be delivering this particular cargo.

Mecca – Coffee was being served and greasy hands were being cleaned on shirt fronts. Servants were carrying away the remains of the feast.
Then it all changed in a blink.
The people inside did not even have time for their minds to register confusion about what was happening to them.
And then they were gone.
***
35,000 feet over Mecca. A US B-2 bomber turned gently onto a new heading. LTC Brown muttered into the coms, “one down, three to go”. He noticed large bright flares in the distant horizon at two other points. He calmly mutters, “Get Some” and looks back at his checklist.
***
India — The captain hit the launch button, firing his entire battery of nuclear tipped missiles into Pakistan. He remembered the faces of his cousins who had been butchered in a market bombing a few years earlier. He muttered, “Burn in Hell” as he watched the rockets leave their launchers.

Not all the bombs hit at the same time. Some Islamic nations had more time than others to contemplate what was befalling them. But it didn’t matter. The results were the same.
The 1000 largest Islamic population centers in the world had all just been obliterated. Other targets had been destroyed using conventional weapons when they bordered on “friendly” areas.
60 percent of the Islamic population of the world had been instantly incinerated. Half of the survivors would die in the following days due to exposure, disease, fallout, and starvation. No international organizations were organizing humanitarian relief efforts to come save them.
The effect was dramatic and permanent. Most of the world had expended most of their nuclear arsenals and their stockpiles of evil cluster bombs and determined to live in peace with each other henceforth.
The world lived happily ever after.
Now THAT is a story! I have no doubt that the mullahs in Iran wish a similar fate on us.
Last I heard, Iran WILL have enough weapons-grade material by January to build nuclear devices. IMO, if that is true, the best POSSIBLE scenario would be one where they have a premature detonation that completely destroys their entire weapons program, and irradiates a large area around their facility.
Well I will never forget this day.
I am a workaholic, but on this day, I had booked the day off. I was upstairs, and heard my father shouting America is under attack, I thought what the heck? I turned on the TV to one of the news channels and I saw live pictures of the twin towers and one ablaze, and then I saw the 2nd plane live go into the other tower. I could not believe what I was seeing.
That is an image and moment that will stay with you forever. I can’t even comprehend what it must of been like to of actually been in New York that day and see this unfold.
God bless all that was lost that day and all that remain and live with the memory.
I had just gotten 3 of my 5 children off to school.(2 were in college). I was scheduled to go to George Mason University for my Master’s classes to get my degree which I had finally resumed after being out of school for awhile. It was an hour drive from my home in the country south of Fredericksburg. I had the TV on Fox and Friends when the second plane hit and found out the first tower had also been hit. I was glued to the television when the Pentagon was hit. That’s when I knew I wasn’t going anywhere near DC.
Finishing up some tax returns that had been extended. My second year out of college. It was odd, living in a third floor apartment that looked out towards DFW airport not seeing planes coming and going for a long time.
I was living and working in Central Europe at the time. One of my local co-workers came up to me and started to tell me how sorry he was about what happened in New York. I had no idea what he was talking about. My cell phone rang just then, my boss told me to get over to the security office, on the double. All the TVs were on. I walked in the room to see a plane fly into the second tower. I don’t know if that was a live shot or a repeat. We were all just completely shocked. As stated above, the world did change that day.
TROKA HQ, near Yongin, S. Korea, serving the the US Army — it was 10 p.m. (2200 hours). We stayed up most of the night working security. By 8 a.m. there was a ROK light Infanttry battalion protecting the American compound. Lots of confusion, uncertainty and the “fog of war.”
I was headed south on NJ Turnpike at about ext 4, stoped to get gas. No attendants ( usually all Mid eastern looking folks at that station) i waited for abut 4-5 minutes finally one guy came out. this was about 0745. Seemed stage at the time but brushed it off. Finally got gas then headed south to a meeting just over Del-mem bridge in Delaware. We started our meeting then then saw on the news Tower struck and ablaze, then second tower. I realized we were under attack. I said meeting is over we need to get back across into jersey before they shut the bridges down. My client haded me a long awaited 30k check and we headed back to Cherry Hill Nj.
Late morning now buildings are down pentagon ablaze. Went to Commerce bank ( now TD Bank) walked up to the teller to deposit. People seemed very nervous and on edge all round, tellers and customers. I deposited my check into my business account. I heard the teller next to me tell the folks next to me that she could not cash their check because the systems were down and could not verify funds in the account. meanwhile my teller just gave me the balance in my Business Account. It became instantly clear the Government had shut the banks down except for business accounts. I quickly filled out a withdraw slip and took out several thousand in cash just to be prepared. As i walked out folks were attempting to work the ATM but it was also “off line”.
We were scheduled to begin air history museum construction on a project out on Long island the following day. I had trucks loaded and ready to roll. We had to wait several more days until they opened the GW bridge and across throgsneck to LI.
We we arrived on site late that week. We went on the roof of one of the hangers. The smoke still rising toward the sky. I till recall the taste of melting steel in mouth from the air. We were some 30 miles away. As the weeks went by, every day was another funeral procession of long black cars, fire trucks, police cars. Traveled back and forth from LI to NJ most days passing though Staten Island where they brought all the wreckage from the WTC site. cars trucks building parts, firetrucks.
It was sad everyday for months. My best friend was an Osha inspector. He was given the weekend shift (36 hour), Friday evening to Sunday as the relief for the weekday staff. He said they would find parts of bodies. from fingers, to legs and such. He has respiratory issues to this day.
We live under vector 1 here in Jersey and in the flight path to Philly. I can recall going outs side and it was so quiet no planes overhead. it was eerie. From that day forward I created an emergency food and preparedness area in my home. We call it “homeland security”. It held this spring when TP and hd sanitizers and makes were not available. I had plenty. Even gave masks to my brother in law a ER nurse at our local Hospital because Vurtua did not have enough.
We now have another enemy within.
I encourage all here to get prepared for post 11-3. You know it’s coming.
God bless our Fallen Heroes on this solum day.
Let’s Roll………….
