Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

The Bench Cats of Caturday…

Have a blessed day with your feline friends!
thx, Lucille, love those katzes
YW, Nimrodman! They’re just lying in wait for a blackbird to get a little too cocky…
Lucille
Dog at end of bench “I think these cats are on to something!”
Mr. Retriever says, “Aw, let the cats have the benches. I’ll take a roll in the grass any day.”
Great way to begin Saturday with these images.
Thank you.
You’re welcome, Simple Citizen. We love our kitties and our Caturday…
Those cats sitting on the bench look very judgey.
Judgmentalism is part of the Felis Linnaeus genus character…and when you’ve been judged it takes a whole lot of treats to get back in their good graces….
The owners just got that cat to match their floor. 🙂
LOL!
Have you ever seen Hannah Shaw, the kitten lady?
No, I haven’t. Thanks for the video!
From Bertha’s Kitty Boutique in Lake Woebegone, Minnesota. “A cat for every decor.”
Well, if you’re gonna have a cat, it should match… 😀
Fellowship With God
By Pastor Cornelius R. Stam
Man, by nature, is afraid of God. When Adam first sinned, he should have gone immediately to God to beg for mercy and forgiveness. Instead he did just what millions are doing today: he ran and hid from God so that God had to come and look for Him, as it were, calling: “Adam… where art thou?” (Gen. 3:9).
Many people who consider themselves as good, morally, as those about them, or even better, nevertheless feel utterly ill-at-ease in a place of worship, where believers pray and praise God together. This is because in their heart of hearts they know that they have “sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23).
Such, however, may come to know, love and enjoy God through faith in Christ. He was Himself God manifested in the flesh, come to earth in love to pay for our sins on Calvary’s cross, so that we might have “redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7).
Concerning those who respond in grateful faith and trust in the crucified, risen, glorified Lord for salvation, the Apostle Paul says:
“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Rom. 5:2).
Peace with God, and the fellowship which naturally results from this is the most precious treasure the human heart can contain. Yet our fellowship with Him here on earth is but the beginning. Read carefully Ephesians 5:25-27 and see how He took upon Him human form, and died, that He might have us for Himself forever:
“…Christ… loved the Church, and gave Himself for it… that He might present it to Himself a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Genesis 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Happy Caterday!

Breaking — Trump Bans Federal Money From Funding ‘Critical Race Theory’…
https://www.citizenfreepress.com/breaking/breaking-trump-bans-federal-money-from-funding-critical-race-theory/
Among other blatant lies, Critical Race Theory teaches that black people can’t be racists. If you’ve ever had to sit through a “diversity training” session at your job, the presenter was most likely basing the entire white-people-is-all-bad diatribe on Critical Race Theory.
Even the people that were teaching these diversity classes were always uncomfortable.
Try to walk thru the Southside of Chicago at night or Harlem and see if you detect any ‘hints’ of racism.
I was getting hit with that ‘only white people can be racists’ propaganda in college in the late 60s. Tell a big enough lie often enough…
It’s an off shoot from the taproot of Critical Theory, then came Higher Criticism…..now we are surprised at this filth? “Take heed that no man deceive you”……it is written
I hope he ads to the list ‘structural racism’ and ‘systemic racism’ because they refer to nothing specific but to supposed problems only the far left can identify or solve, It’s a means of demanding more and more funding and hiring.
… and hiring PREFERENCES
A perfect case of Orwellian Newspeak, whose ‘preference’? My preference as the employer would be to hire the best qualified person, period. The government’s preference, on the other hand…
They think they have him cornered, but he just pulls out his broom and dustpan . And when he’s done goes on to the next corner
Perfect! Just a perfect clarity.
How could their album we named anything other than “Surrealistic Pillow”. Grace Slick was a force of nature back in the day. Some singers are basically the band’s instrument. For Grace, the band was HER instrument. Long may she wave.
Hit the nail on the head Garrison. Heard her perform this up close at Mt Tam, back when bands sounded better in person. The presence, dwell and clarity of her voice was ineffable
Awesome, Garrison! Thank you so much. I loved both Jefferson Airplane and its later incarnation as Jefferson Starship. For me, there was no better troubadour than Marty Balin. He and Grace sang well together, but it was always a struggle for supremacy of the voices. I listened to an interview he did, and it seemed to me that he never quite got over the fact that she rejected him romantically (or sexually). Anyway, in this session video, you can really see the tension between them. (RIP, Marty Balin, thanks for the tunes)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e6ht-Oa-Y0
Surrealistic Pillow has two of the best love song tracks ever, “Today” and “Comin’ Back to Me”, both written by Marty Balin (“Today” was co-written by Paul Kantner, I think)

What an era! Bet there was a lot of Tom Collins’s come 5 pm
Oh yeah, I remember the advertisements for the Weeki Wachee Springs mermaids at the Palms movie theater in the 50s in West Palm.
There used to be bar/restaurants at the beach, old wooden structures that didn’t have AC, they had lots of ceiling fans, screened open windows all the way round, large awnings reaching way out that blocked the sun but let the sea breeze through. Your folks could get a beer in a frozen mug and the kids a Coke in a frozen mug (ice in the bottom) and a real grilled-over-a-fire burger…and fries fried in lard. All gone now.
Happy Caturday, y’all ! A walk on the wild side …

nimrodman,
Great image; thank you (wonder where it was shot)!
Best,

I hope you find this beautifully expressed and poignant essay on Hong Kong as moving as I did?
Hong Kong mourns the end of its way of life as China cracks down on dissent
“It’s like watching a patient with cancer finally die.” Hong Kongers grapple with the loss of their city.
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/2020/09/hong-kong-mourns-way-life-china-cracks-down-dissent/
It’s sad to watch the Chinese regime slowly tighten the screw of authoritarianism upon the people of Hong Kong. It shows how fragile liberty and democracy are even in a vibrant, multicultural place like Hong Kong with highly educated citizens who were raised in a cosmopolitan environment of freedom. We can be assured that aspiring tyrants around the world are watching closely the methodologies used by the Beijing to destroy free speech and with it the right to criticize government. Its proof of the sickness among the men who are certain of the need for such control even as they look over their shoulder and worry about who will unseat them. Peaceful retirements are far from guaranteed in regimes in which future leaders tend to eliminate needless threats to power.
You can bet your bippie that the Democrats are soaking it all in too. They’re well on their way top stifling ‘free speech’ as it is and they’re undoubtedly trying to work out how to adjust the Chinese methodology for domestic consumption.
j’accuse,
Thank you for your comments here.
Yes, the situation in Hong Kong is very sad. This was an area that flourished for so long and it was tossed away (by the extremely weak British). Now it is overrun by a government, which hates the very idea of the city.
The longer-term prospects are not very good for the world as a whole. Under the umbrella of globalism, individual and local governments shall continue to lose power. Technocrats shall continue to spread (as we have witnessed in the European Union) and freedoms will recede.
You mentioned retirements at the close of your post, and therefore it occurred to me that either you are giving consideration to retirement or are retired. If either of these points are correct, then I would (humbly) like to suggest looking toward Central and South America as possible places for peace.
Although the United States has its pluses with regard to retirement, the years ahead could be very rough indeed. Costa Rica, Panama and Uruguay could present much more peaceful, and relatively stable options. There would be far too much to cover in any response to your post; however, there is a wealth of information out in the world on these places and retirement (if that is an interest for you).
As always, good to see you on the thread.
All my best,
Simple Citizen
BREAKING BUSTED — New photos show Michael Reinoehl, with hand on his weapon, lying in wait for Aaron Jay Danielson…

Thank you for this. Notice the media frenzy over this political assassination?
Scrolling through those pics may have revealed ANOTHER member of the antifa “Hit Squad”
The woman in the striped outfit
Was she INTENTIONALLY dressed in the most garish, most visible clothing possible, and walking NEAR THE TARGET to draw ATTENTION to him? Was she a modern day equivalent of “The Woman In Red” that Melvin Purvis used to “mark” John Dillinger outside the Biograph theater in Chicago in 1934?
Houston tolerated its oilfield divers..
..and the dive company took care of us.. they had a lot invested in us..
Professions are different.. it makes all the difference in the world.. you have more control over your life.. and I loved the lifestyle.. everything came in chunks.. all work.. for days.. weeks.. months.. then all play.. for days.. weeks.. months..
There was no Monday thru Friday.. that mindset was totally foreign to me.. sure I had to go when the phone rang.. but you are what you do.. it’s who you are.. it’s your life.. you are already there.. you are complete.. so there’s no fear.. you are doing what you were born to do.. so you go deep in all that you do.. without even trying.. life is full.. 24/7..
It was the late 80’s.. and the dive seasons had now turned into years.. the Houston nightlife scenery ebbed and flowed.. and I was still trying to get it all in.. finding love and life wherever I could.. but never holding on to it.. the ride was too fast.. too fun.. to get off now..
While Uptown was glittering with big hair, dancing with the stars, and rocking at 100,000 watts.. the Inner Loop was like cruising the dark side of the moon.. the area had its own cosmopolitan mix.. Bohemian Lower Westheimer.. Counter-Culture Montrose.. and the Yuppie Heights..
On some nights I’d cruise down there on my ZL900 Eliminator.. just for fun.. for a change of scenery..
It was entertaining.. checking out the various creatures of the night that roamed the interior concrete of the city .. it could be risque.. or just plain risky..
I remember one night I had to ditch my bike.. I believe I was on Washington Ave. and somebody turned right in front of me.. I had no distance or time.. I had to immediately bail.. so I just leaped into the air.. right as my bike slammed broadside into the car..
..it was a perfect launch.. I was now airborne..
..I was doing pretty good while I was in the air..
then I came in hard.. a glancing hit.. then a controlled uncontrollable gyroscopic auto-rotation down the asphalt pavement.. a jolting tumbling bruising sliding rolling runway emergency landing.. ouch..
and it ain’t over.. a car was bearing down right at me.. and it shuddered to a stop right in front of me.. headlights glaring.. spotlighting me as I lay in the road..
The driver got out of the car, checked me out and helped me up off the ground.. he said he saw the whole thing.. and he was quite impressed with my street acrobatics.. I recall he said it looked just like a scene out of a movie..
..and he also happened to be a U.S. Army Diver..
..imagine that.. what are the odds..
I was banged up a little.. bleeding a little.. limping a little.. we dragged my bike off the road into the nearest bar parking lot.. and went inside for a drink..
The next time I got back from offshore I cashed my checks and went out and bought another one..
..I was now on my second ZL900 Eliminator..
Houston was on roll..
..and so was I..

This is raw twitter, I don’t know if this story has legs, too early to tell… but ‘wow’ if true…
“Multiple sources indicating that vice president Joe Biden has been diagnosed with a life changing medical condition, and will be leaving the presidential race. This is a developing story…”
https://twitter.com/AmericaTalks/status/1302068542553100288
Ok, so that post was trolling The Atlantic, who published recent anti-Trump article based on “Multiple Sources” that Trump said bad things against veterans. Nice Troll, though.
Yes, but here’s some real breaking news:
Baby Lives Matter.
Baby lives are our American future!
Amen goes right there, Wildflower!!!
Black Lives Matter, yeah right. Black abortion rates are somewhere about 5 times those of white women and black deaths due to violence still are ahead of white and Hispanic BUT the apologists are saying that as the overwhelming number of violent black deaths are caused by firearms if we do away with private gun ownership then black violent deaths will drop significantly. Nice twist there.
The Planned Parenthood abattoir in New Orleans is still churning out its product of death, focusing (along with other charnel houses) on poor (i.e., black) women, despite efforts by the state legislature and (surprise!) Louisiana’s Democratic governor to close them down. Appears you gots tuh get dat black life right outside the womb for it to matter.
BABY LIVES MATTER, CZAR!!!
Hypocrisy matters too.
This was painted on the street in front of a Planned Parenthood – I guess their idea of planned parenthood is hypocritical.
The idea that black lives matter unless they’re unborn and the idea that black lives matter while black communities allow black culture shapers to maintain an environment that fosters black males to kill each other and abuse women is what I was saying.
The thug and gangsta cultures which are destroying so much of the black culture and the wide black community acceptance of the misogyny that pervades sections of it…those lives don’t matter? Seems it’s easier to carry or paint a sign than actually go out and attack those corrosive elements.
It is a stance one takes when frustrated with the message – I think – All Lives Matter – but, the unborn do not have a voice – unless we give them voice – what I am saying when I post that picture, Czar – I do not refute what you are saying – just supporting the unborn – I am.
I’m just tired of the situational ethics that surround abortion. It’;s been pushed as an easy and answer to slip-ups irresponsible promiscuity by people who are using it as a wedge issue to inure the culture to a wider spectrum of euthanasia for convenience.
We saw the introduction of euthanasia for convenience into the EU where abortion is accepted just as regular mail delivery is. Now that abortion’s the norm we see them moving to state-sponsored euthanasia for defective children and broke elderly. Once those are eased into the norm through the usual propaganda processes we’ll see them move on to broken adulks, filling in that missing gap twixt children and elderly.
What the European courts condemned the 3rd Reich for doing 70 years ago is now European policy, and will be US policy too. Abortion is
evil but is only the toe in the door for even more horrendous policy.
True, czar – see your point – stepping stone to more horrific atrocities.
Goebbels gave them the process.
Yes, he did!!!
Yes, baby lives really do matter.
Yes, indeed!
I read this most days and it gives me pause to pray. Today my soul rejoiced. I think God was reminding me how much joy He has in the recent freedom for so many “found” children across the country.
Thank You, Holy Spirit, as You give wisdom and healing thru their recovery journeys. Thank You “for delivering them from evil”.I
Thanks for the reminder.

THE GLOBAL RESET / THE OTHER SHOE TO DROP
Last night, I was scanning Mr. Lew Rockwell’s blog and came across an article by Mr. Bill Sardi that really had my wheels spinning. Although I was aware of the “Global Reset” (https://steemit.com/leofinance/@cyberblock/the-global-reset-agenda-21-and-the-new-world-order-2020) due to be discussed in January 2021, I was not clear on the details of the conference. There was a little hard news, some speculation and (of course) a few rumors.
Mr. Sardi’s work is a clear statement on what to expect from this conference and the actions that will occur around the globe in the coming years. Everything from small businesses , to healthcare, and even to gun control (not mentioned in the article, but easy to figure out the direction fro the information provided) will change forever. Additionally, it will change the way we attain the very basic necessities in our lives adding bureaucracy to access and analysis / judgement to personal choices.
Many of us do not care about, need or want the Internet of Things (IOT), because we recognize the loss of our humanity and what is left of our privacy, as this idea comes into wider fruition. It is not that we dislike technology or are a new form of Luddites, but rather that we enjoy the concept of choosing which technologies are useful to us, how often we engage in their use, and the ability to disregard advances that we may simply not need.
Based on the article I would say that the factors, which used to impede the IOT (including the use of cash and coin), will soon be done away with and the resulting technology, as well as the loss of privacy, will not longer be a choice, but an accepted reality. Mr. Sardi focuses on the idea of the Main Street bank completely disappearing, which does seem a possibility. If this possibility, becomes a reality, the complications due to both electronic fraud and a potential social credit score (think China / CCP) could make many people’s lives extremely stressful, as well as complicated in the unnecessary manner.
Although I had hoped to do a larger post in which I synthesized the article and added some additional information / references / thoughts to support other examples of what Mr. Sardi is stating and the preparations being made, I just felt a long post would become absolutely unruly. Instead, I will leave the link and hope that friends (here at CTH) skim or read the work.
The article does provide us with a look at what we can expect in 2021, no matter what our own domestic situation is at that time.
As follows:

God Bless everyone here at the CTH; I hope it is a good Saturday and a peaceful weekend.
Sorry I did not begin today with more of an upbeat post, but I thought it was important to help make friends aware of what is coming in the months ahead.

If complete cashless society materializes here in the USA, we can kiss our liberty and our country goodbye. I wonder what the best ideas are to fight it, other than the usual buy gold and barter cottage industry claptrap? National sovereignty Is the issue, and always has been, and always will be. Maybe Trump can flush out the federal reserve in his second term, and replace it with a genuine national currency, but forget crypto, that is a recipe for New World Order.
Mr_Mayhem,
Many thanks for your response.
Honestly, I wish I had answers and better news. It is as though a “full court press” is finally coming into a real view (as opposed to a theoretical) and the globalist powers that be are going for broke.
What some people may not realize (so we can mention it here) is that our own central bank still operates under the old charter system for a corporation (very rare in the method that I am speaking of and closer to a Venice model, as opposed to the Dutch or British East India Company model). That charter needs to be reviewed and approved every 100 years. Shall we guess who’s term that charter came up for approval under most recently?
Once a progressive idea, always a progressive idea and about as federal as Federal Express. So another lightweight President, of the progressive type, sign the Federal Reserve into existence and President Obama renewed the charter for another 100 year term.
In terms of what we can do, you have the right ideas regarding hard assets and a barter system. Becoming as self sufficient as possible is another useful idea (from gardens to farms and work sheds to machine shops). Being in communities, instead of networks, is also a big help (which does bring us back to the liquor store staying open during house arrest, while the church must close).
On the Executive front, our President should not take the Federal Reserve “head on” (my humble opinion). Whether it was President Lincoln, President Garfield, President McKinley and / or President Kennedy there is still a great deal of suspicion around these leaders deaths, which happened to coincide with challenging the money cartel (even in the earlier days). President Jackson was successful; however, the assassination attempts were really awful and he almost did not make it; also, I would say that the money cartel has learned from their perceived set backs.
My (humble) thought is that President Trump, Senator Paul and perhaps a few of the other Congress members that Sundance has written respectfully about, need to relaunch the audit that the Honorable Dr. Ron Paul had been working on, The more exposure to the mechanisms and the overseas lending, during stressful financial periods in our nation, the more our neighbors / fellow citizens become interested. As Sundance rightfully states, we do outnumber the 1% of the 1% and their employees (bankers, politicians, and the like), but we would need consensus in order to receive real reform.
Ironically enough, many of the brainwashed BLM and ANTIFA foot soldiers are against these future policies and changes to society; however, they are (literally) being “handled” by those who work for the system (jumping jar head has some interesting and good posts about their organization on the ground and the tactics that they are currently executing).
So in the immediate term:
1. Bartering is a good idea
2. Hard assets are a good idea
3. Becoming as self sufficient as possible is a good idea
4. A Federal Reserve audit (a serious one) is a good idea
5. A Congressional investigation of our intelligence superstructure (especially outside of our military) is a good idea
6. Keeping connected to one’s community and church (even at a distance) is a good idea
And as always
7. Prayer
As I stated from the onset, I wish I had much better news today. Although I had been hearing and reading about the events leading to COVID and the RESET for years, I was always convinced it was slated for around, or in, the year 2030. These events have obviously been moved up based on the data they are seeing with the response to the psyop that is COVID and the success in locking down the world.
Thank you again for your response; sincere apologies for running so long.
All my best,
Simple Citizen
8. As the Constitution provides, each state should make gold and silver legal tender for payment of debts. Valid in AZ, IN, KS, LA, MO, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WV, and WY.
Truly right, but very hard to enforce due to the commerce provisions.
Still, I like your post and I am glad you are here!

In my part of MI, they’re already starting ‘no cash’ lanes “due to shortage of coins.”
Meant to add ‘at the grocery store’.
Thank you for the link Simple Citizen. Once I hit on these sentences from the article it became crystal clear the path we are being led on:
“To make this happen, banks will be closing branches under the pretense its workers are quitting over fear of transmission of the COVID-19 coronavirus from bank customer to bank teller.
The European Central Bank set up a task force. The aim is not to promote a digital euro per se but to be ready to issue it if citizens demand it.
Slanted research studies (frankly, just plain propaganda) have already been spread to induce undue fear of paper money. “
Blessingsuntoyou ,
Thank you for your response.
Yes, you have the main points and the after effects are both listed in Mr. Sardi’s work, but can also be expanded upon if one simply thinks of the applications.
Hypothetically speaking (and yes, these examples are outlandish, but I think they convey an idea):
You do not support or show support for __________________. Your money card is turned off.
You once had a spat with your ex-spouse and the neighbor reported you. Funds for visitation of your child become strangled, but child support is taken like clockwork and requires none of your consent.
You belong to _________________________ church. Well that is not helpful to the state, so we will shut off your ability to tithe.
You are a veteran and may have once reported a headache. This could be PTSD and if you try to purchase a firearm, we will not permit it. Your money card is turned off again.
If the rent or mortgage is due next week tough luck. Your social credit score has gone into the basement because you even thought about purchasing a gun in a “civil society”.
And on, and on, and on…then it truly is Huxley’s Brave New World.
So you definitely have the idea. Again, thank you for the response, I am appreciative that you looked at the information.
All my best,
Simple Citizen

Truckers report.
Sunday at 09:45 got the call. This was an example of where the five “P”s came into play as they have so many times in my life since I learned the concept in the Army.
“Prior Planning helps Prevent Poor Performance.”
They had failed to put 8 pallets on the usual dedicated truck that runs to TENNECO in Ligonier, IN. so they called me to come in at 11:00 and hook to an empty trailer in a door at the cross dock onto which they loaded those 8 pallets and run them up to Ligonier.
Ligonier, IN is up in the lakes region of Indiana about 127 miles NNW of Anderson. The only difficulty is figuring out which of the several TENNECO facilities having multiple docks up there the load delivers to. I questioned dispatch closely via telephone as I headed out because the message on the Samsara gave a different delivery address than that given on the trip ticket I had picked up with the load paperwork. Turned out that because it was Sunday I was to deliver it to a different plant than it was usually delivered to because receiving wasn’t open at the plant where it went. This kind of thing is one reason why it takes and experienced driver to do this trouble shooting job. Paying attention to details and getting them straight before the fact eliminates frustration and wasted time and effort.
Monday: Take empty trailer and pickup a load of parts from the PK industries warehouse in Shelbyville, IN. Had been to the plant many times but never to the warehouse, which is in a different part of town. You actually drive down an alley and take a right to get to the docks at this warehouse and when you leave you take right to that same alley and it takes you to IN Hwy 44.
There I was loaded with parts bound for the Nissan warehouse in Smyrna, TN (off I-24 exit 70 east of Nashville). Pickup in Shelbyville at 15:00. Delivery in Smyrna at 21:30. At the Nissan warehouse the driver drops the loaded trailer then bobtails the 4.5 miles to the rack return center located in the old Singer Sewing Machine facility in Murfreesboro, TN.
At the rack return center the driver goes into the shipping office and tells them the route number (in this case it was 193-B) and then signs the paperwork for the load of empty racks, totes, and various other containers. On the Bill of Lading it tells the door the trailer was loaded in and the driver will find the trailer parked in the vicinity of that door.
Hook to the trailer, send in the messages, do the pre-trip inspection, put the seal on the trailer and head out back to the PK warehouse in Shelbyville, IN. I would take my break in that large rest area in the vicinity of the Horse Cave exit on I-65 in KY because at that time of night it would be the only place where parking was assured.
The problem was they didn’t tell me I was going to be doing it all week and I had to ask. That kind of thing drives me nuts. But we got it straightened out.
On Wednesday on the way down to Smyrna I ran into a back up in Indiana. Bad accident between a truck and car at the last rest area in Indiana on I-65 S. Cost me an hour as they shut down the freeway and life lined a person out.
After that hold up I hit another that was worse in TN just past the KY state line. Big truck pulling a refer had rolled over spreading boxes of frozen beef all across the interstate. The accident was around the 101 mile marker. The interstate was closed and they were forcing traffic off at exit 104. I got off at exit 108 though it took me the better part of an hour to get to it. Then I did the flip and took I-65 back north again for 4.5 miles to exit 112 and took TN-27 East to US 31W south to get back on I-65 south of the accident. All of this put me over 2 hours behind schedule.
When I got the Nissan warehouse at 23:15 they had me drop the trailer in a door instead of in a parking spot as the usually do. That gives you and idea how tight they are running their times for the parts to keep their vehicle assembly lines running. I noticed on my way back north along I-65 with the rack load that the southbound side of I-65 was still closed!
I was 44 minutes over the 14 hour duty limit when I pulled into park at the rest area. It was a full as I have ever seen it. Trucks lined up parked behind the trucks in the regular spaces on both sides of the isle. I found a spot along the back of the trucks parked on the right but another truck was following me and he sat there behind me blowing his horn like he couldn’t get through the gap between me and the truck on the left. What an idiot! You don’t blow a horn unless it’s an emergency at 01:00 in a rest area or truck stop for obvious reasons. I was ready to deal out a severe ass whooping after all I had dealt with that day and got out of the truck and waved the steering wheel holder through. He had plenty or room to go through and I wasn’t moving! He gave the the finger as he went by. Turd!
On Friday as I was headed north in I-65 bound for the PK warehouse I got a call. Another driver bringing a broker load towards Anderson going up I-65 had a family emergency. The driver lived south of Nashville and had to get home. After much coordination, they arranged for another driver to pickup at the PK warehouse and I went to the PK warehouse, got the rack load unloaded, dropped the empty trailer there(another driver would pick it up in an hour or so and take it back to Anderson), then bobtailed back down I-65 to the Loves truck stop at Memphis, IN and met the driver coming north there. He took off bobtailing for home and I hooked to his trailer that had stuff bound for the Tractor Supply distribution center in Pendleton, IN and brought it back to Anderson.
Thus ended my work week. Another week, another OT day and 4 days per diem. I’m tired. Today is a day of rest. The lawn is fine and it can wait. My major efforts today will be grilling hamburgers and eating a salad and drinking as many Jack & Cokes as I feel I want.
“Six Days on the Road and I’m gonna make it Home Tonight!
Earning It!
I know it’s not as easy as it sounds.
And it doesn’t sound easy….
The city council of Kansas City, Mo has decided to ‘support’ a Black Lives Matter ‘art project.’ It includes 6 murals to be painted by various diverse groups on city (!) streets. One is being painted today about a mile from me just before the entrance to a very swanky community.
I will drive out of the way just to avoid allowing my tires to touch that tainted ground.
I won’t include an article (out of spite) but there are many if you search …
I figure the (D) mayor (Quinton Lucas) and city council are getting heat from many in their base over the Feds’ Operation Legend still going strong.
Apply for a permit to paint “Make America Great Again” and sue them when they deny your permit.
Good idea ljp2014. Maybe something they might be more likely to approve….”Land of the free because of the brave.” “America the beautiful.”
Getting them to approve it isn’t the goal, but exposing them as biased quislings IS. I chose “MAGA” because it’s specifically associated with our legally elected President who they HATE so much. My second choice would be “Trump 2020”
I realize that ljp2014…thx
Make it a triptych: MAGA, All Lives Matter, and Baby Lives Matter. If you’re going to litigate, might as well make it worthwhile.
Note: The domestic and international Left will stop at nothing to secure the destruction of America. FYI: Aug 12, 2020 (Investopedia) – “The standard tuition for the 2020-2021 academic year is $49,653 without any financial aid. Room and board and other fees bring the total price tag to a hefty $72,391.” Yes, Mom and Dad, you get to pay to have your children hate you, your religion, your values–unless you’re a leftie, too–and your country.

Harvard hires ‘Palestinian’ jihad terror apologist Saeb Erekat to lecture on diplomacy
September 4, 2020 by Robert Spencer
“He has a long history of the most egregious lies, denying Jewish history, and justifying terror attacks. He’s even lied about his own life and his family’s history.”
Sounds as if he’ll fit right in at today’s far-Left indoctrination factory that is Harvard. Harvard is proud to hire a jihad apologist. But would it ever hire a foe of jihad violence? You know the answer.

I just saw something on The Mark Kaye Show (Newsmax TV) that was SO CRAZY I couldn’t believe it was true, so I tried it:
If you type http://www.antifa.com into your browsers search window, it directs you to JoeBiden.com where it asks for donations!
AND IT REALLY DOES!
Ain’t that the oddest thing you ever saw?
Saw something about this a few days ago. Apparently, “real” antifa uses a dot org domain.
The dot com domain was available and purchased by a Trump supporter who has it redirecting to Biden…pretty funny, if true. I have no knowledge other than having read about it elsewhere the other day.
🙂
Thanks. I suspected something like that, but wasn’t sure. I wonder if antifa hopefuls decide to donate to Creepy Joe, once they land on his website?
Hurricane hype:
Well the African wave train has hit it’s stride in what the alarmists and their press are already calling a “record season” simply based on the number of named storms, despite the fact that for the last few years storms are being named that would have never been named before and so that certainly isn’t objective criteria.
But when the news isn’t as bad as it was hyped to be they have to fabricate something to keep the hype going.
Any claim that “climate change” has made this a bad season for tropical cyclones is pure horse hockey! “Climate change” is global and the global Accumulated Cyclone Energy is running well below average. (pay attention to the last column. Number in parenthesis is the historic average). This is the science.

NYC SAVAGE ON BIKE ATTACKS ELDERLY MAN – GETS HANDLED BY FIREMAN

Lucille,
Thank you for the upload and your post.
To be very honest, I have been a bit glum lately in thinking that perhaps my old hometown and the President’s old hometown (maybe it is yours as well or was yours) had forgotten how strong, loving and just it can be. Your post gives me hope.
Now I could launch into a rant on the Mayor of NYC (the one who gave Big Bird the old reach around because he was high — as usual) or Baby Doc Cuomo, but then I would be taking away from an excellent catch by you and an excellent video by HOODSERVATIVE.
Again, thank you. It was good to see the city honoring its seniors and getting back to remembering what NYC really is about (community looking our for one another).
All my best,
Simple Citizen
As Reader’s Digest’s section said, “Laughter is the best medicine.”
FYI.
I used to think Our VSGPDJT was pro veteran and would never say anything bad against them….
BUT
I read online a nice liberal thinks our VSGPDJT DID say some bad things, and although this liberal works for a failed liberal rag he has some un-named liberal commie friends who agree with him.
So…..
I’m ready to jump ship and vote for Hiden…
Jus sayin….

Thanks for posting this masterpiece! My personal favorite would be the “Travelin’ Man” – “Beautiful Loser” medley from 1976’s “Live Bullet” which predates Seger’s breakout album, “Night Moves” by 6 months … April ’76 vs October ’76. 1976 was a very good year for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band!
Glad you’re stirred by his music too……just something about it all………….he’s a real man with real poetry set to real music……..” with Autumn closing in”………man, I feel that in my spirit already, before it’s even here…………
“Roll Me Away” captures the motorcycling experience which not a lot of rock songs actually do. I always thought “Turn the Page” was a motorcycling song but according to Seger, it’s not. He’s probably saying that to make me look bad.
Ha, no doubt………must be his ‘dark side’…..huh?
Sorry for not posting this sooner, but better late than never and there’s soooo much more great music to come:

The link is to a virtual NOLA Jazz & Heritage Festival schedule and it’s awesome! Sort of a “best of” from over 50 years of Jazz Fest and other venue archives. I prefer to stream it with the phone app (search WWOZ in your app store), but streaming on a PC or apple product is obviously an alternative.
Midday tomorrow is particularly excellent, with rare live recordings of Louis Prima, Little Freddie King, James Booker(personal favorite–an incredible piano virtuoso; Harry Connick, Jr. took lessons from him and admits he can’t get close to Booker’s sound–a strange, peculiarly NOLA story in itself), then Lil Queenie (Leigh Harris–RIP–Janis Joplin with mo sweetness)–at least those are my highlights, though the whole day and the dates next weekend are worth listening. Unlike most of the virtual concerts we’ve been seeing, these were recorded with live, energetic audiences and direct communication among the musicians. Really LIVE! So, in furtherance of SD’s admonition to live our best lives and enjoy life now, I hope all CTHers will join me at the “next fest thing.”
For those who happen to be within radio range of NOLA, it’s also broadcasting on 90.7 FM. Good station most of the time, even when not doing something special like this.
lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You. Also, we pray for Angels to protect and support our Sundance as he works for justice and peace.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Amen.
A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Gen. Flynn:
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Amen.
Amen
