Check this video from a March 2009 press conference put together by The Right Scoop. It announces that not only was it an issue very important to the president, but it was specifically directed by the president in conjunction with Attorney General Eric Holder. This goes a long way in explaining why Obama issued that executive privilege this morning. They’ve got to keep Holder from having to release those documents relating to Fast & Furious.
Now…check out this video of Janet Napolitano addressing a House Judiciary Committee back in October 2011. Despite telling a House Judiciary Committee that she only learned of operation Fast and Furious in December 2010 when the controversy went public, Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano actually helped launch the previous incarnation of the program, Project Gunrunner, at a White House press conference in March 2009. Somebody’s lying here folks….and it isn’t Brian Terry.
