Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

and there are no grapes on the vines,

yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.”

Happy Halloween Y’all
Beware out there, as tonight always ends with someone getting hurt.
RIP Pumpkin Jr
Good morning, Garrison ☕💕 In keeping with the occasion on this final day of October (can you believe it??) it is fitting that black cats will be in the ascendant on this Halloween CATURDAY. Here, they are supposed to herald “bad luck”, while on the other side of the pond, they are considered to be ” good luck”. We won’t be “open for business” tonight. Candy has become so expensive, and I can never guess how much to buy, usually ending up with piles of the stuff leftover…and we all know what happens to those in the end. So here we go….moggies a-plenty 🍂🎃
I so get him…
And I do…🍂😍
Bad timing…should always be October 31 😸
Ah, this one fits with the motif of the above scene, was waiting til you finished to add otherwise.
Agree….
Mornin’ dear Bet. Don’t think I’m going to be open for business this year, either. The friends I was going to visit aren’t going to be home this year. No biggie. 🙂
I waited so long for Oct. to get here, it’s leaving is sort of anti-climatic. Realistically, I’ll hardly miss it. Fortunately—thank you Texas fall weather—I can look forward to having some quite nice Hill Country driving days to come. Now that I’m working on my cool little car nice driving days are actually within reach. As I’ve mentioned, I enjoy doing this mechanical work, especially since I can now anticipate an enjoyable driving reward.
Doing this work is kind of a celebration. I’m so thankful that, even though I’m not as nimble or fast as before, it is still satisfying to know I can still ‘get ‘er done’ when I need to.
Doing this work reminds me of my long-term friendships when my car buddies and I pitched in to help each other work on our cars at my friend’s old shop. His shop was our after-hours mecca. Although a few have left us, most of our tribe are still upright so we still get to see each other pretty regularly. It’s been going on 50 plus years now. Halcyon days . . . Be well dear Bet. I’ll catch ‘ya on the ‘flipper . . . 🙂
happy “cartoons and cereal day” everyone.
for levi, and all other silent tree-branchers who are in our thoughts and prayers.
peace to all who gather here, and thank you Jesus for our joy in being together.
