This iconic Austin City Limits performance with Michael Nesmith has only recently returned to Youtube after a long absence. Here he performs several of his most famous songs, beginning with “Joanne” which gets my vote (ahem) for being one of his best. Of some note his pedal steel player is the late Red Rhodes who’s distinctive style was present in Mike’s original recordings. Hope you enjoy this music as much as I did. 🙂
