I’ve got a print titled: “The Watering Hole,” hanging in my kitchen. It is a long bar counter and the bartender is an Elephant drying a glass and side eyeing a little opossum type creature climbing on a barstool. There is a male lion blowing suds off his beer mug, an inebriated bear on the floor with a bunch of straws together to reach his drink, a Boar hog looking lovingly at a female pig next to him slurping her drink, a female hippo, bow between her ears, sitting on two stools which are precariously leaning inward with her weight, a Zebra sitting on pallets watching an Ostrich, that has nipped a few, staggering with a tray full of empty glasses and green olives bouncing on the floor, a porcupine stabbing cherries off a plate with one of his quills, a penguin raising another penguin on a bar stool too high and the penguin is holding on to the seat fearful and sweating, a turtle is walking along the bar counter with pretzels on an attachment on his back and a female lion with a bow on her tail whispering into the ear of a bear dressed as a sailor and his mug of beer is flying one way and his hat is flying straight up off his head. At the bottom right corner of the bar is a little red bird leaning drunk against the wall of the bar.
The artist is Robert Marble. I have quite a few of his prints. His trademark is the little red bird which is seen in just about all of his prints. His prints are well drawn animated type characters, fun and depict everyday happenings. Hopefully I will be able to take a photo and include it in one of my comments.

He has earned his keep for that behavior with the snakes.

My CAT does this with one of his MICE all the time.
Kept buying boxes of his favorite MICE, until enough are strategically staged across entire house. He prefers numerous THROWS, hence the quantity.

This is a wonderful image. A definite favorite today, but Charlie Brown and Snoopy are always a favorite.
Cleo has now become a permanent lap cat when I am on the computer. She will now sleep there, so she finally feels safe enough. Last night I awoke to all my ceiling lights coming on. One of the cats, not sure which one, but suspect Pumpkin, played with the switch and figured it out. Percy, the minute I get comfortable, decides to attack my feet and any other portion of my anatomy that has the audacity to move! She also plays with her toy mice on the bed when I am trying to sleep. Maizie is the one that will get comfortable against me and sleep with me, at least part of the night. Not sure where Cleo sleeps, but am guessing she sits on the windowsill in my office and watches the night creatures partake of the seed that has fallen from the bird feeder. As soon as I get up in the morning, they all greet me, along with Beau. Have to be super cautious I do not trip over numerous cats rubbing my ankles and legs first thing in the morning, along with verbal greetings.

Been out in the garden such as it is…nothing like the gorgeous one we had in Wales, but then the weather is more forgiving there and rainier….hacking, yanking, jerking, cutting, pulling all the weeds and growths which insist on reemerging ever spring. I think of Maurice Chevalier in “Gigi”, a film which captured by then young granddaughter’s heart so long ago, when he sang ” I’m Glad I’m Not Young Anymore”. When actually I was wishing that I were doing these necessary jobs outdoors.
So finally!!! News of Cleo’s transformation from “don’t touch me” to “I’m happiest when I’m sitting on you” is truly thrilling and has made me smile like nobody’s business. As for the lights?

Mornin’ dear Bet. I had an odd electrical problem that needs my attention. I know how to fix things. Always have since childhood.
In the modern world that’s sometimes a rather sharp impediment. I’d walked outside one morning only to be confronted by a 220 electrical cable that was, mysteriously hanging ar head height. A limb had apparently fallen with enough force to pull the line’s wall attachment loose.
Fortunately, when I last repaired the line (a decade ago), I’d done a belt-and-suspenders “bubba fix” using paracord as a backup. Definitely not “code” but it saved my ageing butt. The 220 line’s connections are still intact so, I’m going to take my hammer drill and reattach a the line to the house wall.
My orthodox 30 something neighbor was horrified that I’d do an electrical repair without calling a professional . . . Bubba don’t hire people to do stuff he knows how to do. Besides, this should be at best a half-hour job. Be well, dear Bet. Little ‘Tink sends a

I always wonder how my dear old mom got into my bathroom mirror.
When I was living in Wales, Corny, I would often cross the border to shop in the wonderful old city of Chester in England. Major department stores, boutiques, antique shoppes, and plenty of atmospheric places to pause for a cuppa or lunch.
One day I was strolling through Marks & Spencer’s (or Marks & Sparks as it was affectionately known by the locals), one of those department stores…and I passed quickly by a mirror in which I caught a brief sideways glance.
And who should I see? Not myself, but my mother. I can remember the sudden shock, wondering for a ridiculous one or two milliseconds how on earth (!!!!) she came to be in Chester when I knew darned well she was in Texas.
In our minds, I think we see ourselves not as others see us. I’ll never ever forget the experience or the reality 💕

Directions how to behave towards the weak. (1-7) All to receive one another as brethren. (8-13) The writing and preaching of the apostle. (14-21) His purposed journeys. (22-29) He requests their prayers. (30-33)
8-13 Christ fulfilled the prophecies and promises relating to the Jews, and the Gentile converts could have no excuse for despising them. The Gentiles, being brought into the church, are companions in patience and tribulation. They should praise God. Calling upon all the nations to praise the Lord, shows that they shall have knowledge of him. We shall never seek to Christ till we trust in him. And the whole plan of redemption is suited to reconcile us to one another, as well as to our gracious God, so that an abiding hope of eternal life, through the sanctifying and comforting power of the Holy Spirit, may be attained. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

But in our minds we see not the fetter
Trapped in a world of utter madness
We see no way out only sadness
We think we are smart can figure it out
Without God’s help we really have no clout
For it is in His Word where answers lie
Simply the what and when and how and why
His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts
Without discernment we remain tied in knots
The answer to what is plaguing us
Is found in His Word and rightly thus
We think we can flourish all on our own
Taught this from childhood until we are grown
We wonder why we continue to fail
Our sacred source sadly of no avail
We lean on our own understanding
Knowledge is rarely ever expanding
We have no clue how to reach higher
Wisdom eludes we’re left in the mire
We must trust in God with all our hearts
From whom knowledge initially imparts
From knowledge comes the understanding
And wisdom erupts ever commanding
What is it that brings us life and success
With what ability does God rightly bless
The conviction of Faith in things unseen
The assurance of things hoped and have been
So if our leaning is all on our own
We miss out on what Faith has truly shown
We miss God’s vast unconditional love
His Fatherly assistance from above

MY CUP OVERFLOWS
His truth overwhelms dearly and daily;
Manifesting blessings aptly and ably;
By those who accept Jesus as Lord;
Whose actions – through faith – create accord!
His love continues to light up a world;
Congested with turmoil – in truth – unfurled;
Perverse with evil – at every turn;
Wherein for relief – many hearts will yearn!
Justifying – His Word – shines forthwith;
In the least likely place – truth dispels myth;
Just when you think you have heard enough;
The tough get tender; the tender get tough!
The Warring Angels send the demons flying;
The Comforting Angels curtail the lying;
The Spirit surrounds the afflicted in truth;
And dispels the myth created in youth!
Through prayer and remorse, the cold heart softens;
Normally – not quickly – nor as often;
However – at times – the Spirit moves swiftly;
And Grace flows freely to heal quite quickly!
Witnessing the swiftness surely astounds;
The Power of the Spirit – it surrounds;
All who were connected through the airwaves;
Can have no doubt in mind – that Jesus saves!
My Cup Overflows with gratitude;
Happiness reigns without platitude;
No admonition to reel this soul in;
The Love of Jesus flowed freely within!
All Praise and Honor and Glory are His;
In Him, Through Him, and With Him it is;
The gift of His Spirit indwelling within;
The ransom He paid – the high price of sin!
Let your cup overflow with happiness today;
Where there is a will; there will be a way;
Patience is a Virtue; a Virtue is a Grace;
Put ‘em both together – you get a Happy Face!

Tomorrow looks nasty, folks.
My old trucking buddy up in Marion, IN had some hail damage to he and his wife’s pickup trucks. But they were lucky compared to the people in the little town of Sweetser just to the east of them. They really got pummeled with golf ball sized hail. Certainly that’s not as big of hail stones as others got hit by but it came down hard and fast driven by high winds. Sides of of houses with vinyl siding look that they were shredded by machine gun fire.
