Israel Update:
~Did we win or lose?
Too early. The answer comes after the two-week ceasefire.
Iran clearly took a massive hit — missiles, launchers, Navy, Air Force, industry, bases, leadership. But victory depends on what comes out of negotiations.
Goals:
• Kill the nuclear program
• Remove enriched uranium
• Destroy ballistic missile capability
• Cut off terror proxies
• Enable regime change
Reality:
• Nuclear program — mostly destroyed
• Uranium — buried, recoverable
• Missiles — heavily damaged, not gone (~1,500 remain)
• Terror support — unchanged
• Regime — unchanged
No regime change. The IRGC still runs the system. Once the Supreme Leader recovers, it likely resets.
~Worst case:
Iran charges tolls in the Strait of Hormuz — $1–2M per ship.
If that sticks, Iran wins. That’s massive yearly income to rebuild and fund terror. Tens of billions of dollars per year and beyond.
Trump first mentioned shared business — then said tolls must stop immediately.
Iran also demands sanctions lifted. Same outcome: money, power, rebuild.
A win: The minimum win is a solution to the uranium without any lifting of sanctions nor tolls.
But if the regime is still dedicated to the same ideology then they will build everything again and more. So this is the lowest win. At least the immediate nuclear issue should resolve. Below this a nuclear threat still exists and ending now is premature.
~The contradiction:
Trump says leadership is more reasonable — almost a regime change.
Iran says the opposite:
“Iran will not allow punishment of the aggressors (US and Israel) to be avoided… will demand compensation… and will implement a new phase in managing the Strait of Hormuz.”
Those are the words of the new Supreme Leader as of today.
Meanwhile:
• U.S. base attacked in Iraq
• Saudi pipeline hit after ceasefire
• Drone attacks in Dubai
Iran threatens to leave talks over Lebanon — even though Lebanon is “not in the deal.”
Hezbollah keeps firing hundreds daily. Israel hit back hard (~300 killed, 1,000+ injured).
JD Vance: Iran likely “misunderstood.” “They thought Lebanon is included”. Note that this is a key point. This is a huge omission if they didn’t understand.
Bottom line: Trump says progress. Iran acts otherwise.
He wasn’t in the room. Iran was under pressure. They could be saying anything.
Pakistan mediating — not trustworthy.
~Pakistan’s Defense Minister (mediator):
“Israel is evil… a cancer… should burn in hell.”
That language matters. Can he be trusted to mediate?
Did he tell the truth to the U.S.?
Vance was also involved — not exactly pro-Israel. Confidence in talks is low.
Now it appears Witkoff and Kushner are leading.
~Hezbollah front:
After Iran, Israel shifted hard north — biggest strike since the beepers (~300 killed).
What happened was something that was not much published in the world except critisism.
It was an Intelligence Operation that was called “Operation Eternal Darkness” and may be one of the most sophisticated Intel Ops in modern history. Not much was published but here is what I have if you want to know more. There was a simultaneous strike of Hezbollah Command structure everywhere no matter where they were hiding.

Lebanon wants talks in Washington.
Reality: Lebanon doesn’t control Lebanon — Hezbollah does. They just want to stop Israel.
They will Disarm Hezbollah? Tried before. Failed. Won’t happen.
Israel once had ties with Lebanese Christians — ended after Hezbollah assassinated their president. Current leadership is weak.
Reality: only Israel has actually fought Hezbollah.
Iran is threatening to not attend the negotiation if Lebanon is not included in the ceasefire. We shall see.
~Trump today — direct and aggressive: I recommend to read it in full on his True Social platform. It’s long and juicy and he hit the biggest Israel haters and antisemites.

I truly believe what is happening all over the world, especially in the Middle East, is Divine intervention into today’s history. While I certainly cannot prove this, I do search the Scriptures, trying to understand YHWH’S timeline.

Thanks for this, David. As usual your evaluations are spot on. When Trump made his diplomatic visit to the Gulf States a few months ago something significant was clearly apparent. The rulers of the assembled Gulf States were all pointedly deferential to the president—much more so than they’d previously been to other American presidents. Trump was recognized as THE BOSS.
Trump is going to be the new boss of the Persian Gulf. One way or the other the Iranians are going to be forced to accept this new reality. Or else.

Thomas Edward Gwynn, Tullahoma’s oldest resident and “The greatest Ranger that ever was”, passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2026 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma at the age of 106, just two months shy of his 107th birthday.
Mr. Gwynn was born June, 2nd, 1919 in Moscow, Tennessee. He joined the United States Army in 1940 and became an Army Ranger in April of 1943. Mr. Gwynn served in World War II and fought in numerous historic battles, including D-Day, The Battle of the Bulge, The Battle of Normandy, and he witnessed Victory in Europe Day on May 8, 1945, which marked the end of World War II in Europe.
Five years later, he returned to battle, fighting in the Korean War, where he fought in the Battle of Inchon. Mr. Gwynn was a prisoner of war two separate times, and escaped captivity both times. Because of his bravery, he earned numerous awards, including 12 Purple Hearts, the Silver Star, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Bronze Star, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Prisoner of War Medal and the Distinguished Service Cross.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Normandy
