Israel Update
~This may be under-reported in Western media, but Israel has moved to address its northern border after hundreds of missiles were fired by Hezbollah in recent days. We are having ground forces moving in.
Northern Israel borders southern Lebanon—an area with many Shiite Hezbollah villages that have been used to build forces against Israel. Tunnels and bunkers have been constructed in and under homes. There are documented videos of Hezbollah’s elite forces training for attacks resembling those of October 7. Israel’s position is that this military buildup cannot be allowed to return so close to its border communities.
Reports indicate that Hezbollah has deployed a large number—possibly over a thousand—of its elite Radwan forces.
The terrain in southern Lebanon differs from Gaza. It is rocky, with trees and dense vegetation, and has historically posed challenges for Israeli forces. However, the IDF today is a very different force after two years of sustained conflict.
From what I’m hearing—despite of the fog of war—the objective may be to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure at the border villages, potentially extending operations up to the Litani River to create a buffer zone. Israel is signaling that it will not withdraw until Hezbollah is disarmed or no longer poses a threat.
The view being expressed is that these villages are deeply integrated with Hezbollah—its members, families, and support base—within an organization committed to Israel’s destruction.
The villages were evacuated. I think it’s going to be flattened from what I am hearing.
Lebanon is being told that “If you can’t control your lands and your lands are a threat to our citizens then we are taking land and nobody is getting back in there until Hezbollah is disarmed or fully controlled”.
~ The IDF reportedly struck a main headquarters of Iran’s navy in Tehran, which would affect Iran’s ability to project power near the Strait of Hormuz.
~ Another development receiving less attention is what appears to be ongoing operations attributed to the Mossad inside Tehran. Various videos circulating online showing Basij forces being killed by drones at checkpoints points, then they hide under bridges and they got targeted there too. Then I see a video of them in a school yard getting ready to deploy and boom. And I see videos of scores of their bodies before burial. Possibly hundreds. And videos of them terrified looking up for drones. This may be a massive incredible Mossad operation. And I am hearing that the Iranians are helping to locate the Basij thugs.
~ There appears to be a decline in the scale of Iranian attacks on Israel, though launches are still occurring in small numbers several times a day. Hezbollah activity has also reportedly decreased, with indications of deep infiltration and targeted strikes against its commanders.
May God protect the soldiers and civilians of Israel and the United States, and give us rapid victory.

At least the narrator mentioned Pearl before going all Eurocentric. By the time we invaded North Africa, most of the famous battles on Guadalcanal had already happened. And, the Australians having pushed the Japanese from near Port Moresby all the way back to the coast, we were set to join in on the offensive to oust them from that location too.
It is amazing actually that before a year was up, we were actively campaigning in the Solomons, in New Guinea and in North Africa, beginning our relentless march to victory. Churchill’s ‘end of the beginning’ speech was given in November, commemorating the routing of Rommel in El Alemain. And the Soviets were about to start the operation that surrounded Stalingrad.
By January, Paulus surrendered, and the Japanese were defeated at Buna New Guinea, and new aircraft carriers were arriving in the Pacific. By February the Japanese evacuated from Guadalcanal and by May all the Germans in North Africa had surrendered. And by November we had an aircraft carrier fleet large enough to start Island hopping.
A lot of ugly fighting to go in all theaters, and that machine gun was helping us wherever we fought.
Another side note. We had provided Grants and Shermans to the British, so for a brief moment, the Sherman was the best tank on the battlefield. Germans were upgrading their tanks because of the T34, but very few Mark 4s at El Alemain had been upgraded to the deadly long barrel, and no tigers had made it there either. Of course Rommel had first used the 88 against the Matilda tanks in France, so it was not as if the Shermans were safe.

A ProPublica/CNN investigation into court-ordered C-sections in Florida detailed how Cherise Doyley, a seasoned birthing doula with three prior children, found herself in labor at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville in September 2024. What should have been a moment of joy turned into a nightmare when hospital staff, deeming her desire for a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) too risky, initiated an emergency court hearing in her delivery room.
“It’s a real judge in there?” Doyley asked the nurse at the beginning of what would be a three-hour hearing. “Now this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”
She was given no time to prepare or procure legal representation before being given a tablet computer to enter a virtual courtroom. The judge ruled against Doyley, forcing her to have a C-section against her will. She said this decision left her with deep emotional scars that ended her career as a doula* and plunged her into postpartum depression.
In most medical contexts, competent adults have the absolute right to refuse treatment, even if it endangers their life. Yet, pregnancy creates a glaring exception, where courts can compel invasive procedures on women under the guise of the baby’s protection. To make matters worse, these court-ordered C-sections occur despite the clear opposition of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), which has stated that such coerced interventions are “ethically impermissible” and should be strongly discouraged.
I am guessing these are the same judges that support late term and partial birth abortions. It is disgusting an a violation of a woman’s rights.
*A doula is a non-medical professional who provides emotional and physical support to individuals during significant health-related experiences, such as childbirth or postpartum care.
Thanks for explaining doula. But isn’t that irrelevant except that she should have been aware of the legal issues the people she supports would need to deal with?
Also, the prior children are almost a red herring. At first I thought it unnecessary since it seemed she had three prior natural births. But that VBAC makes a very different point. She had at least one prior C section.
I presume that this would have been a matter of discussion with her physician over a longer time. But that is also weakening her case.
Still, there are too many unknowns. Was she a good candidate for VBAC? or bad? Did she disagree with a repeat C section from the start? or do it at the last minute? Why not find a doctor willing to respect your choice? Why not prepare your legal counsel before being forced to do without? Why not just have her sign that she understands and accepts the risk to her and her child?
Repeating c sections isn’t risk free either.

18-25 The epistles most taken up in displaying the glory of the Divine grace, and magnifying the Lord Jesus, are the most particular in pressing the duties of the Christian life. I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
