You know, if you read the literature on smoking fish, swordfish is not considered ideal. But it is my favorite.! Juicy, smokey. Yum
It’s very dense and takes a bit longer than some. But I watch the thermometer with eagle eyes and remove at exactly 138°.
Do a dry rub for a few hours – no brining or drying necessary – and enjoy!

I have had a bit of weirdness where typing something inserts words previously written. Haven’t figured out the mechanics yet. But it is troubling to have something different than you typed show up in the comment box. But it has always been something else I had previously written. Not yet seen a complete duplication.
Anyways, that is always before I hit the post button, so my issue is not the sites fault. I blame my computer.
The only issues that seem like they came after hitting post were autocorrect issues. Autocorrect does its work after the next space bar, so the last word gets corrected after post, but before it makes its merry way to the site. And quite a few that were corrected but I didn’t notice until too late. Still, no massive duplication.
Massive duplications sound like cut and paste are involved. Still, you have to have copied something before you can paste it. Like maybe keeping copies of your posted wisdom. I have wanted to find things like links I had previously posted, copying seemed like a way to keep a record, but I am too lazy to keep that up. And, the phrase “metal or other” goes nowhere near the v, so very unlikely to be an accidental control v paste.
Not that I have a solution, but just throwing things out hoping they may help clue you in to what is happening.

Woke up at midnight to go to the bathroom and to let the do their business and there were 8 white tails out in my back yard feeding under my bird & squirrel feeders. Went and got Sherry and she watched them for awhile. Needless to say the dogs trip outside was delayed.

We kind of do, rah – except we are the slaves. Haitians have welfare dependency rates similar to Somalis. For generations. Also, similar “assimilation” rates.
And…..with another Biden judge ruling that the US cannot end TPS for the 350,000+ Haitians now here, that stat is not likely to improve.
The operative word represented by “TPS” is temporary. Many, if not most, Haitians have been here since 2010.
When jumping the ramp as these guys are, jumpers should alternate the side of the ramp they Jump from. Doing it that way the stick can exit the aircraft quicker. Left, Right, Left, Right and so on.
These guys going off one right after the other from the center of the ramp have to delay between each jumper because if they don’t they will likely get the static line and deployment bag from the jumper in front of them in their face.

Our good friend and neighbor – a Korean War vet is celebrating his 94th birthday this week. Big party!
He will tell you about that ordeal if you pester him.
I worked with a guy who was a marine in Korea. He fought in the famous Chosin Reservoir battle—one of the most fearsome in military history. I was never in the military but I did read the history.
Didn’t they jump single file from a side door back then?
Here is a modern example.
The C-47 had single side jump door on the Port side of the aircraft. That side door was also where the jumpers loaded on.
The C-130 is loaded from the ramp and you can jump the ramp or both side doors at the same time, or a single side door.
The C-141 you load via the ramp but jump only the side doors only for static line but the ramp was used for military free fall jumps.
The C-17 they can jump the side doors or ramp.
My first team sgts Dad jumped in D-day Normandy and would talk about it. Lots of WW II service men didn’t want to talk about but there are several that wrote about it.
Right now I am starting to reread this book.

I’m re-reading it. That should tell you what I think of it.
This guy was command pilot. His very first mission was the the deadliest air raid in history. Operation Meetinghouse. The night fire bombing of Tokyo which killed about 83,000 (according to the Japanese but actually probably closer to 90,000), left about 1 million homeless, and burnt out a 1/4 of the heart of Japans largest city. The mission was carried out at night at low level March 9-10, 1945.
BTW the incendiaries used were not filled with napalm as you will read in some histories. They were filled with Goop! A mixture of magnesium dust held together with an asphalt medium. Water does not put out burning magnesium. The goop was produced by a Kaiser magnesium manufacturing plant.

One of the unit directors I worked with flew B25’s in North Africa. He told me about flying over the med and having an ME109 following just out of gun range. They could hear the German pilot calling for reinforcement . . . all while he was calling up American fighter support. Sometimes they had to fight but, then, sometimes they got saved by a squadron of P40’s flown by black pilots.
Might the canine crew member be a consideration for this procedure?
He was going first anyway.

I remember where I was, in a grassy park in a low-rise beach chair reading in Time Magazine about the bombing of our Lebanon barracks

January 3rd 1984 until the end of April.
SF MTT (Mobile Training Team) consisting of two 12 man A-teams and a 5 man B-team.
Mission – Train Lebanese Defense force “Rangers” in the planning and conduct of LRRP (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrolling).
I was the most Jr. man on the MTT and was the SF medic assigned to the B-team. Then the more Sr. medic that had taken my slot on my A-team was injured and sent home and I filled in for him.
We were sniped at by who knows who. Mortared by Muslim militias, rocketed by “Palestinians”, and shelled with heavy artillery by the Syrians during our time there.
The conduct of our actual mission was delayed because the troops we were to train went down into the city (Beirut) to fight as the Muslim militias closed in after the Marines evacuated the airport.
During that time we were retasked some were to provide security for Donald Rumsfeld’s staff and those I was with were tasked with acting as an immediate reaction force for the US Ambassadors residence and the US Embassy, then located with the British Embassy right next to the US University of Beirut.
The New Jersey fired while we were waiting to see what would happen before we got retasked. We were staying in a nice Hotel located in Broummana which was located on the crest of the first ridge line to the east and over looking Beirut. The hotel was like a giant A-frame. The top floor hadan open view to the west over looking the city and Mediterranean and to the east looking at the next ridge line which the Syrian Army occupied.
Looking further to the east were a series of ridge lines and beyond those the Bekaa Valley.
The Hotel was owned by an officer in the Christian militia. We went up to the top of that hotel and could see the flash from the New Jerseys guns out in the Med. When looking out the east end we could see the flashes of the shells impacting in the Bekaa over the top of the ridge lines.
Just a block down the road the hotel was the Marines had set up a counter battery radar which had pinpointed the location of the Syrian artillery batteries that had been firing down into the city in support of the Muslim militias and who, earlier that day had tried to kill the US Ambassador and Donald Rumsfeld when they were meeting at the Ambassador’s residence.

COMMENTARY FOR ISAIAH 40
The preaching of the gospel, and glad tidings of the coming of Christ. (1-11) The almighty power of God. (12-17) The folly of idolatry. (18-26) Against unbelief. (27-31)
1-11 All human life is a warfare; the Christian life is the most so; but the struggle will not last always. Troubles are removed in love, when sin is pardoned. In the great atonement of the death of Christ, the mercy of God is exercised to the glory of his justice. In Christ, and his sufferings, true penitents receive of the Lord’s hand double for all their sins; for the satisfaction Christ made by his death was of infinite value. The prophet had some reference to the return of the Jews from Babylon. But this is a small event, compared with that pointed out by the Holy Ghost in the New Testament, when John the Baptist proclaimed the approach of Christ. When eastern princes marched through desert countries, ways were prepared for them, and hinderances removed. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

What I would be very interested in learning is; What Sundance believes & thinks about the situation and what Sundance believes the implications and the ramifications are about what Todd Blanche firing Ed Martin.

In the same vein, I have read news articles of conservatives still locked away in prison on trumped up charges, so I would be interested to learning what the views and opinions of Sundance are of Ed Martin in his role as the United States Pardon Attorney. Did Ed Martin actually accomplish anything in his role as the United States Pardon Attorney?

Everytime I click on the link to the Warner article that dropped today a Norton AntiVirus scan begins – only using Chrome, forcing me to delete the webpage. I do not have Norton. Just thought you should know.
I’m using Bitdefender and have had no problems. Norton pissed me off. And even today I get BS about “renewal” as if I still subscribe to Norton from them wanting my new card information. They are NOT an ethical company.
