Snow totals from last weekends storm.
I’m not 100% positive but I believe I was in Myrtle Beach the last time it snowed there, Christmas of 2009 got about 3 inches or so and was supposed to check out Christmas eve but the mountain pass was either closed or was not moving due to accidents.
Luckily someone canceled their reservation & we were able to stay another night or perhaps 2 nights, we had to move rooms to a secondary building across the road but no longer needed the beach view, but hey, way better than attempting to drive back with people who last drove in snow 15 years since their last snow so I was informed by the locals.
Guess they still got a 15 year average for snowfalls.
Looks like it could be a while for a thaw to remove that kinda snowfall, gridlock will be going on for a bit unless they borrow some snow removal equipment.
Saw a drone video that showed 3″ of snow on the sand there.
We vacation in that area 2 to 3 times a year. While we got 5 to 8 in the Blue Ridge, some places on the coast got 14 to 18 inches. They will be digging out for a while.

Good afternoon rah. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you. My dad was 30 years in the Navy and most of the time stationed on the Aircraft Carriers. Was the Plank crew on four, The USS Forrestal, USS Saratoga, the first nuclear aircraft carrier, The USS Enterprise (which I was fortunate enough to see commissioned). I can not think of the fourth one. I will have to dig into his stuff and see if I can find it.
I do have several photos of the USS Enterprise with its supporting ships including a Submarine on the open seas.
You have brought me some fond memories. Have a great and blessed evening.

Christ reproves the interpreters of the law. (1-12) A caution against covetousness The parable of the rich man. (13-21) Worldly care reproved. (22-40) Watchfulness enforced. (41-53) A warning to be reconciled to God. (54-59)
22-40 Christ largely insisted upon this caution not to give way to disquieting, perplexing cares, #Mt 6:25-34|. The arguments here used are for our encouragement to cast our care upon God, which is the right way to get ease. As in our stature, so in our state, it is our wisdom to take it as it is. An eager, anxious pursuit of the things of this world, even necessary things, ill becomes the disciples of Christ. Fears must not prevail; when we frighten ourselves with thoughts of evil to come, and put ourselves upon needless cares how to avoid it. If we value the beauty of holiness, we shall not crave the luxuries of life. Let us then examine whether we belong to this little flock. Christ is our Master, and we are his servants; not only working servants, but waiting servants. We must be as men that wait for their lord, that sit up while he stays out late, to be ready to receive him. In this Christ alluded to his own ascension to heaven, his coming to call his people to him by death, and his return to judge the world. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. I just beat my head against an AI brick wall. Asked it about the painting of Washington praying in the snow.
It told me of the Freiberg painting from our bicentennial, but that it had influenced Americans in the 19th and 20th century
I asked how a 20th century painting could influence people in the 19th century.
It was based on a tradition of unprovable witness statements relayed long after the event, but it contradicts many things known about Washington.
I then asked why they are showing many images of other paintings obviously made long before Freiberg.
And suddenly there is a long tradition of such paintings Freiberg drew upon and that those paintings did influence the 19th century.
AI has everything at its fingertips but knows nothing. And it has a preference to push propagandistic twaddle that is disprovable with its own words.
If AI is the future, we are doomed. And it is even worse when you consider that this lying propagandist will be spying on everything we do and forcing us to bend to its will.

Almighty God, we give you thanks for surrounding us, as daylight fades, with the brightness of the vesper light; and we implore you of your great mercy that, as you enfold us with the radiance of this light, so you would shine into our hearts the brightness of your Holy Spirit; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Grant us, Lord, the lamp of charity which never fails, that it may burn in us and shed its light on those around us, and that by its brightness we may have a vision of that holy City, where dwells the true and never-failing Light, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O Lord God Almighty, as you have taught us to call the evening, the morning, and the noonday one day; and have made the sun to know its going down: Dispel the darkness of our hearts, that by your brightness we may know you to be the true God and eternal light, living and reigning for ever and ever.
