However, the profit-margin on a home is so enormous for these companies that they can easily afford to reduce prices.
At the economy-of-scale that these companies operate, a typical home costs between $30,000 and $75,000 to construct – parts and labor. Most of the actual “differences” are flooring type and kitchen appliances – maybe a pre-built “man cave.” The unit can be sold for more than ten times that.
The cost of materials has doubled, so the cost of building a house definitely went up but they still charge ridiculous prices!
I gutted my home amd remodeled. It cost me more to remodel the home in 2023 than to purchase the home in 2020.
We wish. Building fee’s….school fee’s……street lighting fee’s….sewer fee’s…..Electrical company charges!! About to $ 60 K to 120,000 $ USD per home payable before one gets a Building permit. In California. FACT

I was reading the comments to a NewYork Times article today recommending masking up and getting flu shots . The comments were all deranged. The shots will keep me from getting sicker. They even are still lowering their kid’s mild fevers with Tylenol!

Left-wing commentator Wajahat Ali doesn’t seem to like white Americans. He makes no bones about it, at least.

How did we reach a point where an unelected judge believes he has the authority to order terrorists brought back into the United States after the President has already put them on planes to remove them?
How did we reach a point where that same judge can release someone who openly threatened to murder the President of the United States and still sleep soundly at night?
