Karoline Leavitt has great jeans! Go get’em Ms. Leavitt…
Here come the stupid questions…. “Does the President feel any responsibility for the mass shooting in Minnesota this week?” 🥴
The deployment of electrified seats is the solution to reducing or eliminating “stupid questions” from the White House press corp.
It should only require a good zap or three until they wise up.
LIke SPECTRE #9 in Thunderball.
Or, trap door under each seat…bye. Bye!

As gas prices drift SLOWLY down—groceries are going straight UP! I have never seen such increases. Has anyone else noticed this?
For me, both have gone up. I’d move if I could.
Come to Texas if you can. I paid 2.65 for regular yesterday and got some great prices on food at tom thumb (e.g., buy one, get one free on good quality chicken)
Tuesday morning I passed a Kroger station…2.65/gal
Wednesday morning…3.00/gal.
My husband who stopped for something else told the girl in the pay kiosk that he was going to purchase gas, but the increase was so shocking, he’d leave it.
She told him that on Tuesday when she left for lunch it was the 2.65/gal price.
When she returned an hour later it had jumped to 3.00/gal.
So no, we are not seeing prices lower. In fact they are jumping up and down like a fiddler’s elbow.
Groceries also way up…
I’ve already had a rant about our electricity bills the past two months.
In short, by any metric, we are finding ourselves worse off month by month.
Not good….
The gas companies are gouging the American Public right before Labor Day when majority of people are on the road.
While hardly comparable, the same practice as we see around Valentine’s and Mother’s Days with floral tributes.
“Gouging” is the mot juste.
But nevertheless, the fact remains for us on all counts, we are still finding ourselves worse off with each succeeding month.
Betsy, it goes up and down here too (gasoline). inflation is rampant on needed items also.
The groceries I purchase each week alter only slightly (if at all) with each shopping trip, hopinow.
An example: When I buy bread, I purchase what our neighbourhood WM styles as an unsliced Italian loaf. Long and broad, it allows me to cut off as much as I need for small sandwiches, and stays quite fresh (which is good because we don’t eat a lot of bread).
For a long time it was $1.00, a bargain and way less expensive than a sliced loaf in the bread section.
Now? And over night like the gasoline prices?
$1.47, an almost 50% increase.
We don’t eat meat, which I adore, bar ground beef which I use in sauces or chilli and the like. It has exploded in price (already prohibitive) as well. I check cuts now and again…WOWZER!!!!! So still no on anything else there.
It’s when I calculate the price increases I am experiencing as percentages that my mouth drops. Even pennies in increases amount to 30-40% and higher, on almost everything we purchase. It adds up.
I do understand we are in early innings with President Trump’s efforts to return us all to more affordability, but there seem to be forces at work which intend to bring his work to nought.
In the meantime, we cut our cloth to our resources and plow onward…
I bought groceries yesterday and most of what I typically buy had gone up. I’m so tired of going to the store and seeing increases.
Much as I love President Trump, I don’t believe he realizes what the cost of living is now for many people. He said the other day that prices are down, but I don’t see it. He can’t fix all the rot from the last 20 years and more, and especially the last four, and what he can fix will take time. But prices sure are frustrating.
To cheer myself up, I think of the alternative… 🌝
My go to as well, Mswords.
Meat? I only purchase the inexpensive tough cuts – or the special deals such as “use or freeze today” – or “buy one and get two” …… and freeze some.
Most of my cooking is in my 6 quart crock-pot – 10 hours on low all night makes the house smell good!
Make stews, soups, chowders, chili, etc. Make a lot of shredded beef or pork – – – great with beans, pasta, noodles or rice.
I can get a dozen servings per cooking and freeze what I don’t eat. Usually have three dozen meals in the freezer at any one time. Saves time – especially when you’re cooking just for yourself.
smart
I would stay clear of meats , you would be shocked how much is loaded with mRNA .
If possible, buy straight from farmer, one you know, and trust. Know how they raise their animals. We need less convenience, and more common sense.
Thought, honest beef smells of blood. Store bought beef has no smell, dye, not blood.
You are correct.
I’ve noticed this (FL) for the past few months. I’d watch it slowly go down to $2.79, then the next day it would jump to $3.19. This process occurs repeatedly over a 1-2 week timeframe.
I was thinking it was just me & I was stuck in some matrix glitch 😁! Bc every-time I need gas, it seems to fall on the spike! In fact it did it again yesterday… was $2.79 just a day or 2 prior, & was back to $3.19. There’s a definite pattern & it’s been going on for a while.
Anyhow @Illurion posted this here recently – and I was thrilled it wasn’t just me imagining it.
Well, I don’t doubt it, CM. The price at Racetrack, which is usually lower by at least 10 cents ajd where wenusualoy fill up, was sitting at virtually the same price.
I’m going to check in with Gas Buddy for our area and follow it for a couple of weeks. Nothing surprises me any more…much.
Good idea! I keep meaning to take pics & track it. Might start doing so… b/c something coordinated is going on & repeatedly
I pass 10+ stations in 2 towns several times a week– & it’s every single one following the same pattern.
Every time President Trump mentions Russian sanctions on oil the price of oil and gasoline immediately surges UP!
Yes….there’s that all right.
Uncertainty doesn’t help.
The price spike is tied to refinery issues. The biggest refinery in the midwest went offline.
https://www.ainvest.com/news/midwest-gas-prices-rise-refinery-outage-labor-day-2508/
An outage at BP’s Whiting refinery in Indiana has caused gasoline prices to spike in the Midwest, with prices in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan rising by as much as 27 cents in a week. The refinery’s restart of one unit on Monday may not alleviate the issue by Labor Day, with supplies crimped by Marathon Petroleum’s ongoing plant-wide turnaround in Ohio.
The BP Whiting Refinery, one of the largest inland U.S. refineries, experienced flooding and flaring due to severe storms this week.
In Australia for about 1 x L Petrol we pay AUD $2.09
1 US Gallon = 3.7854 L
= 3.7854 * $2.09 = AUD $7.911486 per US Gallon
AUD/US Gallon AUD $7.911486 @ exch Rate = USD $5.1712911942
In Australia (and we have plenty of LPG and Petroleum – but the WEF controls our Govt)
1 x US Gallon = USD $5.171291194
You guys have got it easy!
I complained about it yesterday here. Food prices are going through the roof. Isn’t most of the food produced in the USA so it is not affected by the Tariffs. Are the food companies gouging the American people blaming it on tariffs. Maybe someone can notify PDJT about this.
I’ve noticed some grocery prices go up slightly, some go down slightly and some stay the same.
Yes
Still paying around $4 for premium in West Houston. Costs me about $70 to fill up my car. No relief there.
Still spending about $500/week for our family of five at HEB. Couple years back that would have been about $350. No relief there, either.
“Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.” 8/9/24
NYET!
Good thing Kamala is not your President eh
Well – luckily for her and the rest of those pesky Democrats, we cannot blame them for any of these crazy prices. They aren’t breaking any promises.
They were the baseline prices going in. We have to work with what was already there.
Turning a ship as large as the the US economy around takes time. It’s not as agile and maneuverable as a small craft. It happens over time, in stages.
Where I am gas has remained stable at 2.65 for a good while.
Groceries are about what they’ve been for the past year. I don’t worry. I adapt.
My family are among the fortunate ones. We are comfortable in our retirement.
I wish Karoline had spoken about mental health issues in response to the question about the Minnesota shooting.
I thought she did… talking about investigating the SSRI situation as well.
Media asked more questions so we got a little more info from her. Media, can you believe it did their job … sorta.
Mental Health Industry in the USA is booming. Would be nice someday if Sundance did a timeline on this Tranny issue and who was behind it and why.
The country was better off when gender dysphoria was deemed a mental health issue.
Now that it is being “normalized” and pushed on children, the tranny nuts have become mass shooters.
Time to call them nuts again.
Yes, and it’s called TRANSMANIA and the nuts are transmanics
I haven’t noticed many people bringing up the killing (you should excuse the expression) that Pig Pharma is making on trans poisons and surgeries. They are crying crocodile tears all the way to the bank.
One of the early hosts on RAV did mention it (I think it was Jake Novak, who is becoming my morning fave there), and of course Steve Bannon.
Can someone please mail SuperSciencey leaders Gov. Walz and Mayor Frey of Minneapolis the 2024 UK (Dr. Hilary) Cass Report on her overview of all the weak and poorly-conducted /biased, basic research on Trans therapies over the last 40 years from UK/Netherlands/US!!!
Was she wearing her cross today?
Yes.
I believe she wears a cross everyday. If she has a top on that it buttoned up too far, it might be under the top.
