Well said, friend Freeman. It is tendentious, religionist naval-gazing like this that caused me to long ago decide to forgo religious doctrine and become unchurched. In saying this, I am not encouraging others to become unchurched. This was an entirely personal decision, one that works well for me. In all honesty, my relationship with our Lord is both robust and constant. And by the way: Jesus IS God.
It is so cool that believers in Jesus all walk in the same Spirit. It is also so cool to meet with them weekly if possible because He is in our midst 🙂
I’m not trying to persuade or convince anyone, furthermore what I personally believe is irrelevant to the post. What I supplied is easily found by a simple web search. What I was/am trying to convey is what criteria Judaism holds (and always has) in order for the Moshiach to be deemed legitimate. Plus, there are many other prophecies in the New Testament (Greek Scriptures) concerning his Second Coming that are yet to be fulfilled. Absolutely no one else can claim that. The most accurate source we have is God’s inspired written Word, the Bible. Not commentaries by men, no matter how well meaning they are.

In Psalm 110:1 we read, The LORD says to my Lord:

a footstool for your feet.”
This verse tells us that someday Jesus will again return, after He has placed all His enemies beneath His feet. Eighteen times this verse is quoted in the New Testament. God is telling us something important that He wants us to hear. Jesus Himself quoted this verse during His discourse with the Pharisees in Matthew 22:41-46, while they were planning to put Him to death.
Psalm 110:1 is a simple little verse but all of Scripture and our Salvation rests on it, praise be to God. As I read the news and as I look around and talk about these matters to people everywhere I go , there are still many enemies of Christ going about seeking whom they may devour.
But our Christ defeated the Prince of Darkness when He raised Himself from the dead, and is now crowned King of all as He said He was when He said, “all authority is Mine, in Heaven and on Earth; therefore go disciple the Nations…” Matthew 28:18-20, and even now we have been given the expressed privilege of joing with Jesus in declaring this Good News. And when Jesus does return again, “He will defeat the last enemy, death!” 1 Corinthians 15:25-26
So there’s still much work to do, and many lives that need to be changed by the proclamation of the Gospel, from vessels of wrath, into vesels of mercy, Romans 9, just like He changed mine so many years ago.

Overall, there is much work to be done. I will not speak of argument of The Word of God, versus Catholic tradition, but we are a world that has lost its way…and any help from above, in my topsy turvy world, is welcomed. The traditions of the Fatima and Lourdes apparitions, speak, back then, as well as now, to the problems the world faces….
In the Bible, Mary does not say much, as the mother of God…but one quote comes to mind “Do what He tells you” before Jesus changing water into wine…nor does Jesus foster father on earth (Joseph was a ‘silent and righteous man’….).
We are a troubled world…and we obviously don’t “know the day or the time” of his return…

It’s probably too late to post this that you might read it, but I’ll start out by saying in no way did I intend for an arguement to come of my statement. It is just my professed beliefs that, until these things get rectified, victory is a far off event into our future. And of your beginning and ending comments I whole-heartedly agree. It’s the few in between I take exception.
But before I get to that, I’ll add; it’s ridiculous to think that Jesus would come back to rescue us after all the mess that His Church has created for ourselves and for our children in these last three generations.
Our heritage is that of the Pilgrims who came from Puritan England. They are ignored at best by the majority of mega modern evangelical churches today, if not downright mocked. But the facts are the facts, and they cannot be denied.

That being said, the one comment that you made that I’d like to briefly discuss is, the word, “tradition” in your post.
Tradition is a good thing. I enjoy ethnic festivals of every nationality and watch for them in every season.
But tradition is not good when it is used to go against the clear writing in Scripture. In that case, what is tradition? Where did it come from? How did we receive it? You mentioned “apparitions” in your post? How have their messages been transmitted to us today? Were they the Words of God? T
No, they were words of departed saints given to children who translated them to men to give us to read and accept as….. what? Gospel truth? Hmmmm? Or just words of departed saints? Or angels? Or demons? How can we know? What says the Lord?
Does not the Bible give clear teaching that necromancy, praying to the dead, is forbidden? What about receiving messages from the dead? I would quote those verses which warn us to not engage in those practices, but I’m pretty certain you have been convinced that they don’t mean what I think they mean, so I’ll leave you with it.
But to any others who might be reading this, be sure to know that it is forbidden to seek messages from those already gone to their grave and also for us to be seeking their special messages and blessings through our prayers.
Our God is sufficient to answer all our prayers and the Bible is sufficient to answer all our questions. Amen?

I feel like pioneer woman. At all times, we have hay soaking in a water tub, 2 bags hanging to drain, and 2 banquet tables set up just outside the barn to spread out the hay and thoroughly dry it in the sun. (they won’t eat it damp!) Then I whip up their medicine in the food processor with some low sugar treats to disguise the flavor, and voila! Breakfast is served. Rinse and repeat for dinner.
The squirrels are a lot easier – they just eat my pecans, roof underlay, car wiring, etc!

Israel Update:
As you know there is a lot of background noise and opinions and misinformation. In the world and in Israel.
I will summarize what you need to know and keep it factual:
-The world is flooding Gaza with food and aid including Israel is trying to resolve it. Many nations are sending aid from the West and Arab world. It was revealed that the “starvation campaign” is sponsored by Qatar. Israeli travelers are not safe across the West, there are many hate incidents globally.
-The West revealed its ugly face by awarding the terrorists and hardening their positions. Progressive nations reveal their own decline and suicidal immigration policies and alliance with evil. We see the power of the media when we see the emotions and massive protests world wide. Stress on the West. Australia just broke the record with a huge pro Hamas demonstration (they wouldn’t call it “pro Hamas” but that is clearly what it was if you look closer).
-Israel is in a low after not acting correctly in Gaza to win the war. There is tension between the new Chief of Staff who is disappointing and the political strata. He didn’t do some things that were expected of him. Like preventing the arrival of aid to Hamas, moving the population away from Hamas areas as to isolate them. It appears that he is being more of a problem than a solver. They put all the cards on a deal and seem not prepared to the existing situation. This can change rapidly once a plan is agreed upon so I wouldn’t give those noises too much weight. I only reporting it because it is the mood and thinking in Israel as of now.
-The Chief of Staff canceled a trip to the US. Obviously he is needed here now.
-The Hamas moved even stronger on its demands. Now they want to condition the release of the hostages on the reconstruction of Gaza. That can be 20 years of releasing hostages slowly one at a time. They are coming out with some very arrogant and defiant statements.
-The IDF is doing a good job clearing the 75% of Gaza that they are holding. I still see videos of large tunnels exploding and killed terrorists and blown up infrastructure of Hamas. When I see those long tunnels keep blowing up it makes me understand that the time is not waisted as it appears to be.
-And the last and the most important piece of new is that the Defense Minister just had a visit in Gaza and spoke with the Generals and the soldiers, reservists and mandatory service. He wanted to know what they think. He said now that he has a plan of how to achieve the objectives of the war and he will present it tomorrow to the War Cabinet.

It appears to me that Israel made a mistake and revealed a lack of faith by giving up “Gaza” for “peace”. Who gives Israel the Land? Adonai or man? If Israel is to be a witness to the earth of the truth of the Creator’s words, then they need to live by them. If the Lord gave them the Land, then take it and hold it in the power of Jehovah. It is for His glory. Let us fulfill His desires. Does the Lord of Hosts defer to Muhammad or Western powers? I don’t wish to be overly critical of Israel here. You are getting it right but I need to clarify things. Basically you hit the nail on its head but I have to explain.
I am mid a large work on the “Israeli Deep State”. It goes back to them. At that time 2005 the Prime Minster Sharon was under legal persecution similar to what they are doing now to Bibi and was with Trump. He then gave Gaza and the allegations were droped. Israel is in a spiritual struggle for thousands of years internally and it is behind all the evils that we suffered. There is the group who adhere to God and are right wing, brave, idealist. Then there is the liberals, Progressives, People who want to be like the other nations. There is a struggle. They have the Deep State and therefore manage to direct negative action. The first and second Temples were both destroyed because of the conflict between those two groups. There were those who wanted to be like the Romans and those who wanted to be Jews. They argued and fought and God punished us.
If you want to take it even deeper look up “Mixed Multitude” (Erev Rav in Hebrew). When the Jews left Egypt (Exodus) some saw the miracles and joined. Those were foreign slaves, Egyptians and others. The were not Jewish and the sin of the Golden Calf is attributed to them. Worshiping the Calf when God was giving the 10 Commandments.
It’s a long subject.
By the way. Gaza had 1 to 1.4 million Arabs in 2005 and Jews were about 10,000 settlers. They weee kicked out.
There is a long line of historic disasters on those who give out lands of Israel or even tries. Including some disasters in the US that correlate to pressures to give land. You can Google it if you want to follow. There are also good YouTube videos in English about it.

I admit I am impatient at times and I appreciate your clarification. Obviously, the powers of darkness work thru the “deep state”. I don’t want to get ahead of the Lord. What He does is well done. I also have some concern about the United States getting too involved in Gaza rebuilding. We should definitely continue to help Israel but we had better not order them around and try to force our desires on them. It is the Lord that will save and succor the nation of Israel and we are blessed to help but we should not order you what to do. Your nation has the blessing of Heaven in a way that ours never will.

The consumption of bird seed and critter feed is now about 1/2 what it was a month ago at my feeders. I rarely see any red winged black birds and see relatively few blue jays at my feeders now. Though they don’t feed at my feeders, I now see no robins hopping around in my yard looking for worms, grubs, and insects and haven’t heard one since early last week.
I think this is a result of two factors.
Usually, I have an abundance of robins…this year, not too many. Usually I will see a few in early or mid February (northern IL, go figure?). Even in rural areas by me, the red winged black bird is a diminished presence. And I have seen only one blue jay.
I had 8-12 Jays and Red Winged black birds visiting my feeders up to a couple weeks ago. The Red Wing black birds, like the morning doves, prefer to feed off the ground.
All of my woodpeckers are still around, Downy’s, Hairy’s, Red Brested, and Red Headed are all still here plus some of their immature young ones the hatched earlier this year.
I am amazed at the variety of birds you have. We used to have robins, lots of them but they all disappeared about 20 years ago. We used to have red winged black birds but they, too, disappeared about 20 years ago. No more humming birds for the past 5 – 6 years. I still have two mockingbirds that seem to stay on my small acreage. Only 5-6 house finches showed up and nested this year in the nests I put out for them. There used to be 50 to 60 of them here. No more scrub jays fighting over my nut trees – all gone. We do have lots of hawks, red tailed, coopers, assorted kites. I hate them all and wish the they would go away.
No more hundreds of monarch butterflies like there used to be. No more bees showing up to pollinate my summer gardens – I pollinate daily myself so I can have some fruits and vegies. Heck, I haven’t even seen one June bug in at least 30 years now. They used to be everywhere all summer long.
I guess the massive herbicide and pesticide exposure here in the central valley of CA has taken it’s toll on the them.
I kind of wish we could go back to before the whole valley was turned into ag land. Up till about 40 years ago there were still vast areas of native, untilled lands. We were then considered to be a mediterrean climate – quasi desert. All gone.
Humidity used to never exceed 20% all summer long. Now it averages well over 50%, which makes the 105 – 110 degree days really miserable. This summer being different. Gov Newsums war on water usage/storage here in the valley has really made a difference. So far the humidity has not exceeded 25%. Feels SO much cooler with dry heat.
Now if only we could deport half the population here in the valley which is comprised of illegal aliens things would be really be looking up.
Our June bugs showed up in May and were done by June the last couple of years. Lightning bugs showed up in June and there are still some now. We had some Cicadas in July. When the clover comes in my yard in June the bees show up. Right now sweat bees abound here.
Sparrows abound since they nest in my lilac bushes and a big evergreen bush I have in the front yard that hides the step down valve for the natural gas. Quite a few house finches and an occasional yellow finch. A couple of tufted tit mice. Nut hatches. Black capped Chickadees. Regular black birds. Crows. the woodpeckers, Jays, regular black birds and grackles. And even a peacock that is one of seven that got away from their keeper comes to feed.

They wouldn’t get far at my place today. Today is BLT day! I sure am enjoying my coffee this drizzly morning here and am quite happy I mowed the yard and burned off the pile in my fire ring yesterday. This rain we’re having now was not in the forecast yesterday morning, but Cirrostratus clouds in the partly cloudy sky and the feeling in the air were all I needed to decide I have better mow and not put it off until tomorrow.
Mmm BLT day, now that’s a great idea!! Love your descriptions of all your house work and projects, a truly blessed escape from all the crazy news.
Tomatoes are like treasure -especially this year. Have picked and devoured only three so far. Hoping the plants bounty up like previous years.

COMMENTARY FOR PROVERBS 30
(1-6) “Agur speaks of himself as wanting a righteousness, and having done very foolishly. And it becomes us all to have low thoughts of ourselves. He speaks of himself as wanting revelation to guide him in the ways of truth and wisdom. The more enlightened people are, the more they lament their ignorance; the more they pray for clearer, still clearer discoveries of God, and his rich grace in Christ Jesus. In ver. 4|, there is a prophetic notice of Him who came down from heaven to be our Instructor and Saviour, and then ascended into heaven to be our Advocate. The Messiah is here spoken of as a Person distinct from the Father, but his name as yet secret. The great Redeemer, in the glories of his providence and grace, cannot be found out to perfection. Had it not been for Christ, the foundations of the earth had sunk under the load of the curse upon the ground, for man’s sin. Who, and what is the mighty One that doeth all this? There is not the least ground to suspect anything wanting in the word of God; adding to his words opens the way to errors and corruptions.”

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

BREAKING: Two Texas House Democrats have RETURNED to the chambers. The “resistance” is ALREADY cracking. Rep. Philip Cortez and Rep. Eddie Morales have returned. They reference don’t try to get yourself elected because if you do you’ll have to cut your hair. Now at 69 I have no hair, but they meant principals and what did many of this generation do?
They cut their symbolic hair and became politicians and University “professors”, and embarked on the long road to taking this wonderful country down.
