But the Day is past. The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America.
I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.
He ends the letter:
You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.
Thanks for that glimpse of one of our greatest Patriots! I cannot fathom the courage, faith and commitment that these brave men not only spoke of but acted upon as well.
May we honor them with the respect that they deserve and carry on that vision that John Adams wrote about above.
This is going to be the most memorable Fourth of July I can remember thanks to President Trump and all the MAGA folks that supported him and continue to support him. If next year brings an even more memorable one…so be it!

I am always struck by how eloquent our Founders spoke and wrote, or, more to the point, how illiterate we have become as a people.
So much laziness and slang in today’s written word.

Secretary Rubio’s speech is worth writing down and absorbing. It is a straight-forward explanation of how this nation is here and why in a few words. President Trump and his entire cabinet have grown into their specific tasks and responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.
Our nation is on the brink of greatness if by its success we are able to bring truth to our entire education,
law and media systems. Freedom gives all of us the opportunity to be better tomorrow than yesterday, we as a nation cannot waste it.

Reason to fly the flag again
I never took my American flag nor my MAGA flag down ever since President Trump came down the escalator. I flew it when times were bad doing the stolen years as a sign of hope and determination and I fly in now as a sign of strength and celebration.
It is a symbol and a message to the satanic left.

We are sovereign individuals, coalesced by choice, into a sovereign nation, still a rising tide that lifts all boats and elevates the standard of living and liberty for the entire world.
I feel so PROUD, HONORED, PRIVILEGED AND BLESSED to be an American, with our President Trump, a most loving patriotic man, leading all the like-minded heroes of our nation.
Everyday hardworking folks like my simple, unassuming but courageous father, who flew into France in a glider on June 5th, 1944, the night before D-Day. I’m so grateful for every soldier like him, willing to sacrifice their lives then, for us to live our lives now.
Jefferson’s final days were marked by a poignant connection to Independence Day. He died on July 4, 1826, exactly 50 years after the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, a coincidence that underscored his lifelong dedication to the cause of American freedom. His last words, reportedly, were “Is it the Fourth?” or “This is the Fourth,” reflecting his awareness of the historical significance of the date

I believe his last words were “Jefferson still lives…”
What a gracious God, to grant those two Patriots fifty years of knowing that this nation, born in the strife of battle, endured.
Which Adams said a few hours after Jefferson died.
And I truly believe, they know it to this day. God bless the United States of America.

I really appreciate Rubio’s unabashed reverence for God, especially in reference to our founding as a nation. Appeal to the Supreme Judge of the World, a very appropriate way to phrase it.

It’s always crazy to me when people say mentioning God four times is a sign that they weren’t really Christian. Like, how many times would a non Christian mention God? Probably zero? Maybe once? Certainly not four.
