Gypsy, I’m as concerned about CHY-na’s belt and road eating up countries. Poorer ones are embracing them.
I see this as Trump repaying the Father for many blessings.
Gratefully acknowledging God’s mercy and blessing on your life tends to have that effect.
The mineral resources from Congo alone to the USA mining and manufacturing economy will be legend.
One can only hope a real structural foot print for US interests are achieved in both Rwanda and Congo before DJT leaves office. Post Trump expect another “great unraveling” because of lesser quality leadership regardless of party.
Every time I see a report like this, I am reminded how important it is for the world to have a STRONG America!
Great peace treaty signed, at last. Now, for all of Africa to come to its senses.
Distressing to see the portrait of Colin Powell on the wall. Not a fan.
Bringing Peace is a wonderful benefit all on its own.
But consider the other ramification here. For decades, both the DRC and Rwanda have been manipulated by China to give up valuable resources and access through the Belt and Road program. This peace accord is as much a slap to China’s face as anything else.
No, it doesn’t stop China from continuing their efforts, but it definitely puts them on notice that President Trump, and now Marco Rubio completely understand their game plan.
This win is much more than what it appears to be on the surface.
Blessed is the PeaceMaker for they will be called the children of God.
So thankful.
More and more I notice how Rubio speaks with preciseness, and he also exhibits a great deal of humanity and feeling. He chooses his words with care.
This is paramount; another great American History and World History lesson for our children around the world.
I hope this is not ignored.
Rwanda currently has a Trump-like leader who is trying to rebuild the country following the same model used by Singapore decades ago. I expect we’ll see closer US ties to Rwanda in the future.
