How do we impeach Jackson (throw in Roberts, too)?
That’s a smack down alright!
serious cat fight there
Please don’t stop with the additional tweets, Sundance. Today is a glorious day.
Seems too many still have forgotten about LAW-, a Law signed by Clinton in 1967/ Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 includes Expedited Removal of Illegals. It was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1996 It passed the Senate 72 to 27 and passed the House 278 to 176.
Below is from Grok, which breaks the Law pretty good in my opinion.
The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA) of 1996, signed into law by President Bill Clinton on September 30, 1996, was a comprehensive piece of legislation aimed at strengthening U.S. immigration enforcement and restructuring legal immigration processes. Below is a concise overview based on available information:
Key Provisions
Impact
Context and Criticism
Thank you Sundance, please keep up the amazing work you do.
From what I understand, the lawfare Democrats are now looking a filing Class Action Lawsuits which are still allowed by the SCOTUS ruling.
But I think that requires alot more leg work and time. Lawfare may not like actually having to do the work. Since this effects district only, me thinks they would have to get plaintiffs in each district with some districts being less inclined. I guess they would attempt to get the overall class action in a favorable (DC) type court, but then this ruling also says district rulings effect only those plaintiffs at court. They would have to gather thousands of class action litigants and then it still only effects those in the case. Maybe I’m wrong on that interpretation of class action.
This ruling may affect all class action lawsuits which could be beneficial to rogue corporations. No, I’m not throwing sand, just musing here.
PLEASE tell me the “birthright citizenship” ban is retroactive to January 20, 2025, the date of the EO.
The EO is being contested in a (lefty) district court as being unconstitutional i.e. POTUS can’t get rid of “birthright citizenship.” The court said, “While we have a trial about it, in the meantime, you (POTUS) cannot implement your EO — anywhere in the country for anyone.”
The Supreme Court just told the district court you can prevent the EO from taking effect, but only for the people who are suing. The court cannot prevent the EO from taking effect anywhere else, for anybody else. Caveat: the SC said the EO can only take effect after 30 days from their ruling…leaving time for the dems/commies to make some more judicial moves. So not only is the EO not retroactive, it is not yet in effect.
Of course, you can bet the district court is going to find the EO unconstitutional, and that result will be appealed where it will also be found unconstitutional, and that will be appealed to the Supreme Court, and maybe this time next year we will get a definitive answer.
While all of that is going on, the dems will start a class action lawsuit on behalf of every illegal, and some lefty court will probably put a stop to the EO on behalf of all illegals… which is where we were before the ruling.
Aint nuthin easy fighting commies.
Love this 🇺🇸❤️
AG Bondi sounds riled up! I like it.
I love President Trump . . . he is just so plain-spoken and no BS.
VSGPDJT and Sundance are GOATS!
I was especially impressed by Attorney General Pam Bondi. She spoke so forcefully and looked so professional on camera. (sarcasm alert)
Can anyone imagine, Pudding Brain Biden, holding a press conference like this?
Hallelujah!
Yesterday I had tears of sadness for our beloved Dutchman… today I have tears of joy for our beloved Constitution and America!
Oh Lord, hear our prayers.
What happened to Dutchman?
I pray he’s ok!!
Apparently in the last few weeks Dutch was having health dynamics that needed looking at. Yesterday around midnight he went to the ER and they sent him to the biggest hospital in Vegas.
He’s going to need complicated surgery. He writes about it on page 1 of the Open Thread today and I boosted it to page 2.
Although we are all hopeful, we continue to assault the Throne of the True God on his behalf.
Thank you for the information.

Jackson is a zero.
She should concentrate on building here career off-Broadway.
I’m so happy I’m crying! Thank you to the Jesus for answered prayers!!! Thank you for allowing me to live long enough to see this.
God bless Dean Sauer and the great state of Missouri from which I sprung! His Grandpa …a great surgeon…removed my appendix SIXTY years ago this WEEK…hahahaha.
Overwhelming emotion…thought I could not love a POTUS more than I loved Reagan….
Thank you President Donald J. Trump and a merciful God.
I’m not crying, but I am dancing all around the kitchen!!!
And thanking God.
I love that, NC Mom!
But, But then what will all the able bodied but lazy people do?
If they don’t work, they don’t eat…
He that does not provide for his own is lower than an infidel.
Apostle Paul
Paraphrasing 1 TIMOTHY 5:8
The best part of this opinion is when Barrett publicly announces to the world that the court is fully aware that Jackson is an idiot
For those who missed… definitely worth watching the whole thing… some good info in there.
POTUS IS HAVING FUN !
PRESIDENT TRUMP and STAFF DESERVE a SMILE and a FRIENDLY BANTER With the PRESS.
I noticed at yesterday’s WH presser on the BBB and then today’s on SC ruling how good he looks and sharp and quick as ever. Remarkable considering the intensity behind taking out Iran’s nuclear capabilities then NATO and everything else in between he’s tackling. The man never ceases to amaze me! We’re truly blessed to have him!!
Might ‘things’ be changing??
This presser is remarkable for the showing of respect the press is giving PDJT. The reporters almost seem like excited school children enamored of some big star in their midst. At one point PDJT even asked “Should we keep going?” And they are excitedly urged him on for more.
Very interesting.
Been ramping up like that in that arena, albeit slowly, ever since inauguration.
Absolutely! What you saw is that Daddy came home from Brussels, and school is now back in session. In a more serious tone, the reporters know full well what just happened with the SCOTUS rulings. The lawfare through Chuck Schumer’s District Court judge planted strategy and the resistance movements all took major hits this morning. The reality is they are done. They know it. And they also know they are looking at 3 1/2 more years of this to come.
I wish someone in the media would ask ghetto trash Jasmine Crockett, “who’s your daddy?”
Her daddy is a pastor. Yet she certainly has a potty mouth and troubled character for being a pastor’s daughter.
Not unusual.
I chuckled when the press robustly cheered for more after he asked if they wanted to keep going. I thought, my what a difference! And he didn’t miss the opportunity to point out Biden’s inability to do it lol…love this man!
I’ve thought for awhile that adding journalists from the alternative media sources who actually behave like mature, professional adults has had an effect on the rest of the room.
So I’m sure the next leftist administration will immediately kick them out again.
Oh to be a fly on the wall right now in Judge Boasberg’s chambers….
🤣
True expression, but I would much rather want to be a US Marshal with a warrant for his arrest in my hand.
Retired Magistrate here: The fly lacked standing to be on the Judge’s wall, the venue wasn’t correct for the fly’s case to be heard and the judge lacked jurisdiction to hear the fly’s complaints. However, none of that mattered so Judge Boasberg issued an injunction against the fly to get it off the wall and held it in contempt because the fly didn’t immediately remove itself from the wall.
The fly will be incarcerated pending appeal.
This judge’s wall wasn’t the proper venue. Fly belonged on a wall in another district. Judge transfers fly to appropriate wall.
The same evil fly that visited obama, Pence has visited the Federal Judiciary and has now been banned by Judge Boasberg!!! Hey Boasberg the fly isn’t on the wall any more it’s on your forehead!!!
Clever! Thanks for the ironic laugh Marcia.
👍 😁😁😁 Thank you, Marcia! 😄😄😄
I wonder what Merrick Garland has to say about this decision.
He is Crying and can’t talk.
Don’t forget to add Eric Holder to your first sentence.
Aside from the obvious history that he was a weak minded loser, he allowed his judicial career to be forcibly terminated by the tyrannical Dems to make way for the DEI Dunce to have his seat on the DC Apellate court. What a pathetic dipshit.
Merrick Garland is the reason that Ketanji Jackson Brown sits on the SCOTUS.
If Garland saw what I saw in that presser, I would think a certain full body flash of numbness struck him hard and then his bowels let go.
I’ll see if I can find that short moment in the video and post a comment about it.
Correction: what I saw pertained to the Federal Reserve Chairman and interest rates, and in this way is VERY relative. I will post a comment at the bottom to explain as soon as I have a bit more of spare time to put it together.
well, Barrett obliteraed Jackson.
Maybe the judge should consider a career change and sell cars???

This week has ended up with banger after banger of MAGA wins. Something seems to be in the air. Perhaps it’s the USA stepping out of its near-death bed and saying “Nope, not gonna give up at 250 years!”
Amen, amen. 250 years. Yes. The SC reminds us that you CANNOT examine the constitution without an examination of the enumerated powers therein.
Should we keep this going?
“Should we keep this going, Pam?” The crowd erupts in loud voices. “This is the opposite of Biden.”
I was just thinking about the respect President Trump shows the people of the USA, evidenced by his frequent press conferences and his forthright sharing of information, at least of things not of a secret nature.
Of course, to be fair, Ol’ Joe did keep us up to date on his ice cream choices…
And entertained with endless Walter Mitty style fantasies.
Oh. Wait.
I mean lies.
Oh! You thought we were done for the week? Sorta kick off a bit early on a Friday after an intense week of #Winning?
N-n-n-n-n-n… sit right back down, and keep your shoes on… we ain’t done yet…
“Secretary Rubio hosts a Democratic Republic of the Congo-Rwanda Peace Agreement signing ceremony”
This very important treaty signing was not televised on C-SPAN, Fox or Newsmax.
RSBN… the first link is state.gov… this stream I think will also include Oval office stuff…
“LIVE: President Trump Meets With Rwanda and Congo Officials, Rubio Facilitates Peace Deal – 6/27/25”
Can we all agree that Bondi has her weaknesses, but that her Justice Department did get this most important favorable ruling from SCOTUS for which she deserves a lot of credit.
Yes, but I see her role as more of the spokesperson for the DOJ as she remains in perfect alignment with Trump and his agenda. Todd Martin is there to do the heavy lifting.
You mean Ed Martin and Todd Blanche?
She’s had some good hires, although Bove (Associate Deputy Attorney General) has recently be nominated for a Third Circuit judgeship.
There was also quite a bit of ACB bashing; many comments interpreted her ‘look’ directed at PDJT after his joint address to Congress, as hateful, full of spite, a true Libby, a terrible USSC pick, PDJT was horribly advised, etc. And, now? Savior of the country?
I think she and five other judges realized that these national injunctions just had to stop, regardless of what they each thought of the legal issues in the particular cases.
Barrett taught civil procedure in law school, so deciding this case on procedural grounds and letting her write it was a rare smart move by Roberts. (When the Chief Justice is in the majority, he writes the opinion or assigns it).
Extra points for Roberts if he was made aware of what Barrett’s opinion would have to say about Jackson.
Oh, yes.
The opinions, including concurrences and dissents are distributed amongst them so they can comment on each other’s reasoning.
Jackson knew it was coming.
And Scalia had some masterful snarks at other justices, even his good friend RBG.
I do agree to that–Do believe many of us are a bit leery after what some of Trump’s people turned on him & did to him in 2020.
I think Todd Blanche is the work horse here. Bondi is just a figurehead.
Oh, so you think Garland or Barr did all their dirty work? I believe that every cabinet secretary delegates down the chain of command.
Emil Bove did, too, but he has been nominated to the Third Circuit. A good pick.
Very much so, and I hope he makes it. But there was some snark leveled at him a few days ago in an effort to derail his nom.
The big thing we are all craving for that hasn’t happened is having legal accountability assessed against the many corrupt DOJ and FBI personnel who illegally went after Trump and Trump supporters for years.
I’d like to think that this is coming, and that what we don’t see are the smart DOJ legal eagles building solid legal cases BASED ON LAW against the worst offenders.
Because if and when some of them get indicted, DOJ had better have some airtight cases.
Competence is so refreshing! MAGA!
Marc Eliar, Eisen, not a Weissman et al are pissed today. I love it.
I bet this ends all lawsuits. Lawfare won’t do this when they have to do thousands of cases across the country. Courts are suddenly going to become deserts of activity.
This is the second Independence Day after July 4.
Didn’t PDJT issue an XO recently requiring losers in lawfare cases to pay the costs? Whatever happened to that?
They will never stop, just change tactics. They will try to get all these cases certified as class actions. A lot of extra hurdles. We need to have a plan to defend against those tactics. I bet they are already preparing for those.
Yes but they may find the hurdles involved are beyond them.
Hope so!
Lawsuits cost money and lawyers are all about money if they can’t do Lawfare on the cheap I don’t think they’ll continue either
MAGA.
F the Supreme Court and their attempts to deny President Trump his rightfu, article 2 powers.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻👊👊❤️❤️
I wonder what happened to Roberts and Barrett to move them in this direction and especially Barrett writing the decision. I find it hard to believe those two ruled this way by following the constitution. Did they all of a sudden become originalists? I kinda doubt it.
Did they realize ruling the opposite would make SCOTUS truly clown world?
It might have to do with the widespread national injunctions usurping the authority of the Supreme Court. These federal district judges were in essence more powerful than the SC when ruling in that manner.
Agree. Barrett taught civil procedure, so she was a good choice for authorship. And Roberts likes to hid in majorities in which he’s not the swing vote.
Maybe VSGPDJT arranged them to see some prisoners in the GITMO……anything else would not move them in the right direction…..hmmm…. we know how numb they are …..
We’ll never know what back channel admonitions were made.
I’d like to think that Thomas and Alito have spent some quality time with Roberts especially to persuade the tool to man up and start doing his job 🙂
Just that first announcement was beautiful music to my ears!!!
A little cold water here. Someone noted that SCOTUS (my wondering if Roberts/Barrett suddenly became originalists) may have been reproving lower courts for stepping in their judicial area.
So, if appellate courts and Roberts/Barrett want to stab Trump, might they fast track these various lawsuits up thru appeals and then SCOTUS rule (which would be nationwide) the “normal” (we have come to expect) Roberts/Barrett 5-4 or 6-3 for a loss to Trump?
Trump and the US could have in stone definitive losses in these big cases this time next year?
Here’s some warm water in contrast.
Say Jose and Ramon are detained and made ready for deportation. The lawfare animals quickly rush to Judge Activist for a TRO. Judge Activist says “yeah no problem mate, here’s your TRO”
Now, the only way that goes up to SCOTUS, is if PDJT’s DoJ appeals the TRO.
No need. They can keep deporting others. If the Lawfare Animals want to stop all of it, they would have to apply for TRO’s by the thousands. Not even Demonrat lawyers can keep up with that.

@JCNSeverino
The Court has shut the door on the abuse of universal injunctions. Today’s decision is a victory for our constitutional separation of powers.
Justice Alito’s concurrence sounds the alarm that litigants have been attempting to abuse class actions and standing processes as well and shows that the Court is well aware of the problem and prepared to police those boundaries to shut down judicial activists.
Cont…
Dem Jamie Raskin thinks Trump lost on the birthright citizenship issue. He’s too stupid to understand that issue of substantive law was not addressed, and the case was sent back to the lower court to fully litigate the issue.
https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2025/06/27/raskin-claims-scotus-ruling-means-a-loss-for-trump-on-birthright-citizenship/
Birthright will be back at SCOTUS some day.
Yes, my concern too. See my comment above. Appellate courts will fast track these up to SCOTUS (who didn’t like their jurisdiction stepped on) then we will get the 5-4 or 6-3 losses from Roberts and Barrett that we grind our teeth at. And those will be nationwide.
SCOTUS had to rule as they did on injunctions. The nationwide injunctions were making SCOTUS irrelevant AND delegitimizing the rule of law! About time they did ONE THING the American people wanted!
Charlie Kirk
@charliekirk11
An actual quote from a SCOTUS expert who understands the current court well:
“This is an unbelievable bloodbath for KBJ.”
“It’s really a huge problem for the court to have 1 of 9 members essentially intellectually disabled from even adequately faking the ability to perform the job.”
Cont….
Well, after all, she was unable to define “woman”. So there’s that. It was a harbinger of things to come.
I’ve been too busy to see any news today, and just noticed this Decision came out (“shock decision”! ha!), and came here to celebrate with my peeps!!!!!
So, they’ve decided to let the President … be the President.
Yeah!
Trump 3:16 in full effect right now.
America is back! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Justice Jackson’s activist opinion does more damage to Supreme Court civility

SCOTUS ends Nationwide Injunctions?
Not so fast.
Techno Fog
Jun 27, 2025
“Today, in Trump v. Casa, Inc., the Supreme Court finally answered the question of whether “federal courts have equitable authority to issue universal injunctions.”…”
https://open.substack.com/pub/technofog/p/scotus-ends-nationwide-injunctions
Several civil rights organizations filed an amended complaint in Maryland district court within hours of the Supreme Court’s decision on nationwide injunctions. The complaint seeks to certify a nationwide class of babies and expecting parents affected by President Trump’s executive order denying citizenship to children born to parents in the U.S. illegally or temporarily. This move comes after the Supreme Court limited the use of nationwide injunctions, which had previously blocked Trump’s order from taking effect. The plaintiffs aim to use class-action litigation as a tool to provide broad relief to individuals subject to the new policy, as suggested by Justice Sotomayor in her dissenting opinion.
The burden of difficulty has now been shifted to their shoulders instead of PDJT’s.
I hope it crushes them as thoroughly as our military recently did to the Iranian nuclear capability.
My how the news does fly here on CTH. I’m not complaining. The Treehouse is my favorite outlet because of the news and archived deep dive articles. However, I am very busy with other pursuits and so don’t always have time to immediately jump into the disscussions.
That said…
This morning while watching President Trump’s very important press conferennce with U.S.A.G. Pam Bondi, discussing the the SCOTUS legal findings which this thread is all about, …
I noticed something that I believe is very important. It gave me pause to notice a moment that slipped away quickly and quietly, but not without a clue. It starts when one of the press members asked the first and only question about tariffs.
I was somewhat distracted at that time, and thought the following brief interaction between The Prez and the AG had something to do with the stolen 2020 election, AKA the Treasonous Coup. Perhaps, it actually did in a round about way, as it appears to me that all strings are attached to every other string of events within “THE GREAT DECEPTION” (TREASONOUS COUP) starting in 2014 and persisting still today.
At any rate, PDJT, in addresing the question on tariffs, ending with the subject of Fed Chairman Powel’s stubborn refusal to lower interest rates made the comment that it was actually more important than the subject of tariffs. This is really importent, as President Trump pointed out. If the Fed were to heed the President’s advice and lower the interest rate, our country would be in a much better financial position, the main point of that small parcel of communication.
Further more, during my 2nd viewing of the video this evening, I could not help but notice the blatant hatred and disrespect (barely veiled) that the majority of the press hold for our dear President and his agenda, which also our agenda. The MAGA Agenda.
I learned something else that is important during the time I’ve been sitting on my branch and more often lately, at the campfires…
“Watch the body language”.
Starting at the point in the video where the guy that was on the stage, but out of view in the video, who piped up with no invitation and shouted out, “Trump 28”.
The very second that happened I replaid it. Then paused the video at that exact moment and saw the reaction of the press group.
The look of disdain and hatred was the rule of the majority, not for the brief interruption, that President Trump actually praised with a short bit of humor, but for the President’s agenda.
Some in the crowd smiled and/or laughed lite heartedly. The majority showed their true colors though: Sheer hatred for everything MAGA.
If there is any doubt in your minds about it, dear Treepers, revisit the video and review the very brief incident which transpired a second or two before the 34:00 minute mark. Behold the devil.
God Bless America and God Bless President Trump.
