Hmmm, not sure what is wrong??? -“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”… – exactly what I’m saying. Also agree with everything else you reply with. “working for the Lord” means in everything that we do, we “find” the holiness within it and “return” the blessing to our Creator. IE by our commitment to serving God, we heal and uplift the fallen “sparks” of holiness, thus correcting ourselves and help return the creation to it’s intended state.
No use turning our eyes upward only, while the world descends. We also need to get off our buts and correct what is wrong. They work in tandem.
In a world filled with chaos and real mortal danger . . . I sincerely hope that continuing to post these gentle music videos can bring a sense of solace to our Treeper hearts. Truthfully . . . I deeply believe that if we can’t experience solace—even in the midst of dangerous strife—our lives are diminished. That’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone . . . So, be well dear Treeper friends. I’m not sure our lives are that much worse… it might just be that we now have instant information. Sixty years ago, we didn’t know everything that happened around the world within an hour of it happening. Sometimes, we didn’t know about it at all… if it was more than 1,000 miles away. If you lived in Texas and a small plane crashed in Manitoba, you likely were never aware of the tragedy. now we are. Perilous times can become less threatening if you turn off your TV, ignore your cell phone and go tend to your garden.

So today it’s my turn.
I’ll tell you that I would enjoy a good thunderboomer to break the humidity around here. It was so miserable outside yesterday afternoon I just gave it a break and went and stocked up on some stuff.
What did you stock up on?
Bird seed, cleaners, and cleaning supplies.
Also insecticides and ant killer pellets.
Hey RAH—what do you like best for weed killer?
I use very little store bought herbicide because we’re on a well! I don’t use Weed-n-Feed or any of that. I also don’t mind having clover grow in my yard for the bees and try to mow later in the day to minimize the number of them I run over.
I have been trying out more natural herbicides without a lot of luck. The next one I will be trying is a gallon of full strength white vinegar with a 1 1/2 cups of salt and a few drops of dish detergent. Supposedly it works well in hot dry weather. I’ll be finding out when we get to the dog days of July. My neighbor Steve is doing the same as I am.
Maybe one of these years I’ll get around to building bat houses out of the left over composite material from when I put in the deck to help cut down on the bugs. The insecticide I bought is for wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, and boring bees. Those boring bees are doing a number on the structural members of the lean-to I keep my firewood in.

I use the vinegar and salt – takes time, but works. We also have a well, and of course animals that eat our vegetation.
A good friend sent this natural herbicide recipe that I am going to give a try:
1 gallon white vinegar
2 cups Epsom Salts
1/4 cup biodegradable dish soap.
All the windows in my house except 3 are 10 years old or less. All but three are double pane with argon gas in between the panes. Nearly all the windows are now fogged up on the outside because of the humidity outside and the A/C inside.
what does the argon accomplish that normal air wouldn’t?

And some of us would relish a day without a thunderboomer. It seems as though we’ve had not a day without one for the past five or six weeks. As I type this, I hear the thunder again today. Watching Ryan Hall and it looks like almost all of the tornadoes are rain wrapped so people can’t see them coming.
Well, we lost power here and my GENERAC is earning it’s keep. House was dark for 5 seconds and then I heard it fire up and in about 10 seconds the lights came back on. No hail here as yet, just blinding rain and pretty high winds but small hail reported north of us. Trees down in the area.
GENERAC came on at 17:10. If by 00:30 the generator is still running I will turn it off for an hour. Have been advised to do this several times so the wiring settles into the hot coil. Supposedly will make the generator last longer.
I have now walked around outside.
Took out a good portion of the pine tree that had been hit by lightning and to top 1/3rd fell into my yard on the south side. Missed my new garage by 30′.
This is a blessing as far as I’m concerned because i don’t think what is left of that tree can quite reach my house. I have been worried about the tree ever since we built on the garage but it’s not my tree. It belongs to the young kids that have moved in south of me that have 2 little girls and a new infant. I’m happy when that kid mows so tomorrow I will get me chain saw in shape and get to cutting, weather allowing.

Ironically though, the longest grid supply outage where it had to run was caused by a very localized rogue puff of wind that took out a section of pole-mounted wires too close to some mature trees with some weak limbs….
Yes I am. It’s peace of mind for both of us. Our outage is due to a tree across the road to the north of me. At that location power runs on the poles along the west side of the road and cable runs along the poles on the east side of the road. So though I we lost power utility service we still have internet through cable.

Back when I was a kid and went squirrel hunting with Dad.
We would go out on the Fuller farm where they had a big patch of woods. One time when we were walking to the patch of woods I noticed several smaller wooden clapboard houses behind the main house.
I asked what those were for and was told that was where the migrant workers stayed when they came every year during harvest time to pick tomatoes.
Then later working for Carter Express we helped out Red Gold during harvest picking up canned tomato product and hauling it to a warehouse and then bringing empty cans back to the plant in Geneva, IN I noticed whole lines of single story apartment buildings right by the plant where seasonal workers stayed during harvest.
Remembering those things and hearing all this wailing and whining about “who’s going to pick the food?” I looked it up and of course all the wailing is BS!

“This epistle of James is one of the most instructive writings in the New Testament. Being chiefly directed against particular errors at that time brought in among the Jewish Christians, it does not contain the same full doctrinal statements as the other epistles, but it presents an admirable summary of the practical duties of all believers. The leading truths of Christianity are set forth throughout; and on attentive consideration, it will be found entirely to agree with St. Paul’s statements concerning grace and justification, while it abounds with earnest exhortations to the patience of hope and obedience of faith and love, interspersed with warnings, reproofs, and encouragements, according to the characters addressed. The truths laid down are very serious, and necessary to be maintained; and the rules for practice ought to be observed in all times. In Christ there are no dead and sapless branches, faith is not an idle grace; wherever it is, it brings forth fruit in works. How to apply to God under troubles, and how to behave in prosperous and in adverse circumstances. (1-11) To look upon all evil as proceeding from ourselves, and all good from God. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

In my pre-journey years, I thought/believed that when people spoke and taught about faith, they were meaning “believe in God”, perhaps it was because I myself struggled, waxed and waned about whether there really was a “God”, that perhaps the scientists were right, that the universe and us were/are merely random chance “creations” – and considering the shear scale of it all, I figured any “entity” capable of “inventing” and running it all, would hardly be interested in my grain of sand existence – never mind caring whether I smoked a cigarette or eyed the “babes” on the beach.
It was only after I had “clicked”, or more probably, God in his infinite mercy, decided to open my mind a little, that I KNEW without a shadow of doubt that there was a Creator to all of this, and indeed, He is Very interested in what I do, I finally understood what faith really is.

Please pray for President Trump and all those in leadership in our country that they have wisdom, restraint and peace. Pray protection for them and those in harm’s way. Thank you.

In Colorado we had Rufus Humming Birds at our feeders. Late in the summer we observed them flying straight up and could hear them ‘sword fighting’ with their beaks. I believe it was the pugnacious male prepping the youngsters for the flight south – strengthening their wings.

Notice how cool the waters are right along the hurricane Main Development Region (MDR) in the Atlantic. And notice how warm they are relative to averages at places close in like the Gulf of America and the SE seaboard.
This pattern does not bode well for long track storms but does show areas where close in development is more likely.
Generally it is the long track storms formed in the MDR that are physically the largest and bigger is badder in any Saffir-Simpson category. A larger hurricane has a larger area of low pressure and thus a larger dome of water and at landfall means more persistent storm surge and more precipitation and thus more flooding. Storm surge is the #1 killer.

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
