President Donald Trump speaks at Fort Bragg today to mark the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. The anticipated start time is 4:00pm ET with livestream links below.
“President Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll join service members, veterans, military families, and patriotic Americans from across the region to pay tribute to the unmatched capabilities and warrior spirit that define Fort Bragg. This base is not only a symbol of military excellence but also a living legacy of courage, discipline, and the will to win. The event serves as an important lead-up to the grand parade celebrating the Army’s 250th birthday, a milestone that highlights over two centuries of dedicated service to the nation.” WATCH:

I was raised on Bragg from 1972-1980. My Father was in the 101st and in Material Maintenance Division. Life was awesome for a kid there then, walked everywhere such as Bowley elementary school, Lee Field House pool, Main Library I could see from my bedroom window, I saw Star Wars in the movie theater on Woodruff Street, adjacent to Headquarters.
My father-in-law was under consideration for Sgt. Major of the Marine Corps– twice.
He was a gunner in WWII. He died from agent orange exposure from tours in Viet Nam.
My Uncle Chuck (Mom’s older brother) was a POW during WWII.
My mother-in-law served in the navy.
My dad served in WWII where he fondly succumbed to action while frequenting bars in Japan — instead of combat. But, hey, he served.
(One of his favorite bar pals was a cigarette smoking monkey.)
My mom was a Rosie Riveter who worked in a defense plant.
My cousin– 2nd Lieutenant Michael was killed by a sniper during a tour in Vietnam.
My husband was a career infantry officer.
Different generations of cousins on both sides of my family served in various military branches.
God bless those who served in my family- and yours! ♥️🤍💙
Wow LG!
i TELL My KIDS and Their MOM the SAME I’m TELLING YOU –> THANK YOU For Serving,
YOU GUYS GAVE U.S. The REASON to SERVE OUR COUNTRY
by Keeping a HOME for Those of U.S. in Uniform to Come HOME TO !
An ALL HANDS EFFORT
The 101st? Weren’t they out of Kentucky or other surrounding State? My (ex) husband was stationed at Pope AFB which shared the property of Fort Bragg. I lived there from 1974 through 1979. Fort Bragg was not the 101st. It was the 82nd airborne.
My father in law was a paratrooper at the 82nd airborne in WWII. His son, my brother in law was also a paratrooper atg the 82nd airborne at Fort Bragg during the Viet Nam war.
101st is out Kentucky
My husband served with the 101st infantry airborne — the screaming eagles — if memory serves. 🦅🇺🇲
His first jump -in Georgia– he landed in a puddle.
Better him than me!
I like my feet on the ground.
Meant to say, “out of”- whoops!
My late husband also served with the 101st in Vietnam. He was in the 10 day Hamburger Hill battle. He was also told he may have been exposed to Agent Orange, hence the 2 heart attacks over the past several years then lung cancer which took his life this year. Yes, 101st is stationed in KY.
101 is and has been based at Ft Campbel Ky, Bragg is the 82nd and 18th airborne corp, Technically the 101st is not longer airborne they are considered air mobile
Maybe I’m wrong, but I definitely lived on Ft. Bragg!
His beret was dark green, not red.
green berets are for special forces, also at Bragg
Growing up on a Navy Base was just great too. Swim Team at the Frogman Pool was the highlight. Any dependent could walk anywhere and never worry.
A contemporary democrat President wouldn’t bother to show up.
Hegseth seems to have found his footing as a leader, growing into his own skin. Good speech!
1967 to 1970 U.S. ARMY. Ft Lewis and Yakima !!! Tanks and howitzers!!
Gracias Dios!!
I have a fond memory of Fort Clayton and Fort Amador…just before sunset…stopping the car and getting out, standing at attention, while Old Glory was retired for the night, with Taps.
Ha! You just jogged my memory.
Army Brat. 1950’s – 1960’s. Germany. Ft Lewis. Schofield Barracks. Fort Leonard Wood.
My dear friend’s daughter is there now. Ft. Leonard Wood.
My USA brother-in-law was there before he went to Bragg, 1969. He called it Fort Lost-in-the-Woods!
Arlington Hall, here.
Troop morale is everything…
At last, a Commander in Chief worthy of the loyalty of the men and women who serve under him.
Signed, the proud daughter of an Army Captain from seventy years ago 🇺🇸
Respect…is earned. Earning it cannot be ‘faked’….
So true, Aggie…something which goes both ways, in the military and in life. The essential quality which holds a civil society together.
Yes…both ways!
A lesser man, after the first attempt on his life, would have skedaddled.
🇺🇲🦁👑🙏💕
Love this photo! Smiles on every face.
Here’s a small preview of what’s been heading to D.C. for the parade Saturday….
Russian Victory Day, hold my beer. 👍
Will the MSM cover it? Not much, if at all. Sad that.
Somebody will cover it. The MSM answers to the enemy.
So proud to be American!!
This is going to be epic!!🇺🇸🇺🇸
If you can’t again feel deeply patriotic after watching PDT excite those young US soldiers, there’s something wrong with you.
Nobody does optics like Trump
His noms DELIVER the optics…Andalusians and Lusitanos bawled their eyeballs out over this strut right here, no airs-above-the-ground, tho, cuz he didn’t wanna chance getting kicked in the head, the Vienna Riding School subjects snorted a sigh of relief
Next up: Hegseth slays, unless you wanna call it a “coup de grace”

Meanwhile, back at the LA ranch…
An Andalusian horse…if ya ever get a chance to ride one, its awesome!
Was that an Elvis tune in the background of that video?

Magaganda is camouflaged art.

If that is Pope Air Field, was there while visitig cousin just
before he went to Panama Ranger School. Short trip from
Camp LeJeune…
Eyes Right…
Panama Ranger School…childhood memories…throw in Jungle Survival School where one learned what bugs were edible…
Heh… “Dont Step On Sneks” and Bugs 🙂
Took a fellow Leatherneck once ro see his Army Doctor Uncle
in Colombia SC. His Army Doctor uncle & Aunt had a beautiful Orchid
outdoor area full of Orchids, many of them from Panama.
Good People…
The Jungle Survival School had a boa constrictor named Connie…not sure what they did with the old gal after the Treaty…she was about 12 ft. long or longer…she had been caged for so long she could not be released.
Memories of Panama Jungle School: The “Ten Thousand Ways to Die” briefing, the “Green Hell” obstacle course, poncho-rafts across the Chagres River, howler monkeys and black-palm.
I also remember watching an army of leaf-cutter ants completely disassemble and carry off an entire tree, piece by little piece.
I grew up down the road a piece from Camp LeJeune and not far from Ft. Bragg. My dad retired from civil service at Cherry Point Marine Corp Air Station in Havelock, NÇ. My brother was stationed at Bragg in the 82nd and again as as a Green Beret Special Forces. He did two tours in Viet Nam. I refused to call Ft. Bragg the other name…Proud of my roots and family.
Good Ol’ Cherry Point. Was TAD’d there for about 2 years.
Lived off base in 9 Mile Road.
God Bless You And Your Loved Ones…
I grew up on Highway 24 just east of Gales creek!
I was married in a llittle army Chapel on Aberdeen Proving Ground in July 1970. Just a couple of months later I was on my way to Vietnam. My wife and I will be celebrating our 55th anniversary in a few weeks.
Wow 55 years is wonderful! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!
Thank you
Congratulations on your anniversary!
Thank you
Your bride chose well…so did you, sir.
By the good grace of our loving Father, I hope you and she will have many more happy years ahead.
Happy Anniversary! We’re celebrating ours this weekend, the 57th, married the weekend my husband-to-be graduated from Yale, Class of 1968, (GWBush’s class!) was commissioned an Ensign in the Naval ROTC there, and we were married a couple of days later. It was a strange time for all the happiness, as Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was murdered in LA a few days’ earlier. I was still working in NYC and saw the crowds gathering at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the funeral. I’m glad that RFK, Jr. is making his mark on this administration!
Happy Anniversary Dr. Dre! 57 years is amazing!
Today, in the Oval Office with the press present, President Trump referenced LISA MONACO and stated that she may have operated the autopen for Joe Biden (or been one of the people that did). Here are some quotes from the article on Gateway Pundit; a video of President Trump speaking and the link to the article are below.
“Trump said Joe Biden’s autopen – and whoever operated the autopen… like Lisa Monaco – facilitated the invasion.
Recall that Lisa Monaco initiated the lawfare investigations into Trump.”
“‘Yes. We’re moving murderers out of our country that were put here by Biden, or the autopen.. the people or whether it’s Lisa Monaco, or whoever operated the autopen… We’re not going to let them stay… I can inform the rest of the country that if they [riot], they will be met with equal or greater force.'”

Was there in ’89(?) for cuz’s Green Beret graduation…
Drove from Cocoa Beach to Fayette(nam) on Fri for the Sat am graduation…
Met ’em at the Bennigans around 10pm…
Was in jail by 1am…
Never even got a chance to unwind from the drive…
There is no substitute for experience.
In God We Trust
{All others pay cash}
Trust God
Fear not
The optics are amazing.
See the Red Berets you L.A. punks, they are coming for you.
They will be testing their new AI & robotic weaponry on you losers.
Being four years regular Army in a Green Beret unit, here is some clarification on beret colors.
Green = US Army Special Forces Group (Common groups are 5th Group, 7th Group, 10th Group and they are the Army version of the Navy Seals.)
Maroon = 82nd & 101st Airborne (They are infantry that jump out of perfectly good airplanes)
Tan = 75th Rangers
Brown: = Worn by soldiers in the Security Force Assistance Brigades (SFAB)
On March 16, 2001, the black beret was adopted as the official headgear for the entire U.S. Army, replacing the patrol cap for the Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) and later the Army Combat Uniform (ACU).
250 years!
Although I was in what was once a branch of the Army, I had the honor to participate in ten percent of that long defense of our nation.
Awesome fraternity, wonderful to see the strength and spirit of those carrying the burden today; what a difference an inspired leader makes.
He is talking tough about the invaders in LA…
Foreign Invaders!
Thank you,President Trump for
saying that!!
Stopping an Invasion 👍👏👊
Stopping an…Insurrection!
In my mind, invaders are foreign.
Yup!
Same.
👍
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 👏 👊 👍 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Some mood music. We remember.
“Put silver wings on my son’s chest…make him one of America’s best…”
In my civilian life, I have known a few Rangers…a Green Beret and a member of Seal Team 7 (he kept his ‘trident’ on is person at all times.)…except during his open heart surgery…but it was close by him in the OR…
Thanks for the memory jog! A positive song during the turmoil that was Vietnam. I was 16 when that song came out in 1966. Sadly Staff Sgt. Barry Sadler was killed not long after; his murder was never solved.
Carolina Honeys are there!
👍 😁
I wish I had that kind of money for travel, LOL!
Carolina Honeys!
One finally brought a husband today.
Guess he was starting to get suspicious.
🤣 😁 😁
Well ya know POTUS and his ‘big beautiful hair’…LOL.
😁 😁
Not “suspicious” Maquis…the husband was worried about all that Chippendale Beefcake at Fort Bragg…😁
I like Chip and Dale but Gadget’s my girl.
😂 😂
🤣 🫢 🫣 🤭
History lesson.
Acknowledges Warren family. 👏👍
Generations of serving our Country.
I can relate. Every generation from Independence.
We served.
👍 👏 👍
Including Independence…..🤷♀️💁♀️
I felt a kick in my backside for
not making that clear.👻👻👻
😂 😂
God Bless you and yours…!
My father served the prime of his life in Europe during WW2, age 30 to 35. Never spoke much about it, 2 stories in fact, is all I dragged out of him and they weren’t pleasant for him. No wonder he didn’t talk about it.
Yep, same here, left a wife and two daughters for three plus years with General Clark. Fortunately he made it back or I never would have existed. He never talked about the war, or picked up a gun, ever, the rest of his life, at least as long as we both were alive.
I learned about his experiences mostly from his letters which my mother saved, and I discovered, after she died. So, they, his military stuff, and burial flag exist together today in the cedar chest my mom bought while he was in Italy, a corporal in the Fifth Army.
I like how he mentions the descendants of great warriors of history.
👊 👏 👍 Same.
Trump is reminding the Army soldiers that they stand on the shoulders of great, brave men and they better live up to the standards of those that went before them.
Updating housing…that will make the wives very happy.
Military housing has been disgusting for years. Glad he has addressed it.
Talking about recruitment numbers.
Yup.
Sisters grandson… after President Trump
won election ..joined Marines.
His father was in Army.
Graduated in April. 👍
What a morale booster…and those kids doing the Trumpy YMCA!
That was wonderful. 🥰🥰🥰
This old Army Vet sure enjoyed that………………

This video makes me smile and am so happy for Preaident Trump! Those graduates will never forget that ceremony!
And the crowd roars!!!
Just great, thank you🙏
President Trump has announced that the U.S. military will be restoring the names of forts such as Fort Hood, Fort A.P. Hill, and Fort Robert E. Lee.
Good! Those names are the ones they bore when they trained the American troops who fought and won two world wars. They should be worn with pride.

My family has always been military. Grandfathers in WW1, father an army Air Force as bombadier trainer at Alamogordo,NM, uncle was Army Master Sgt 3 tours of Vietnam , currently have nieces and nephews deployed around the world in all services. My brother was a Marine during Vietnam while I was an AG onboard USS Forrestal CV59 77-80. My wife’s family also has many memorials throughout Massachusetts including an uncle who was died In Japanese camp as a POW. Just a typical American family like so many here on my beloved CTH.
We would have celebrated 45 years married this summer but she passed away in January. I’m now just another lonely old veteran shuffling around this empty house. But I’ll always be proud of my family’s service and her family’s service to our country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
TRUMP DANCE! Fort Bragg!
MAGA
That was beautiful. Awesome.
