Hopefully he hits the ground running looking into Congress and insider trading.
Isn’t insider trading legal for Congress? Either way, find something we can book ‘em for.
I have read before, many years ago, that the lobbyists who wrote the relevant legislation left an explicit carveout for Congress. Insider trader is part of the bribery structure that keeps Congresscritters voting against their ostensible own people and for transnational corporate oligarchy.
It would be great for an SEC Chairman to publicly call Congress out for this. Make their oligarch masters expend resources publicly defending the practice of legalized bribery that we call ‘Congress’.
It’s legal. The last time this hit the news, many many years ago, probably for the first time, laws were changed such that their trades had to be disclosed; thus came the “Pelosi Tracker”.
But naturally, they’re Not going to vote down a major route to their personal enrichment.
Congress exempts itself from virtually all the laws we mere citisens as individuals and companies must obey.
They do not comply with OSHA workplace safety rules, for example; they are EXEMPT.
Exempt from Obummercare, etc.
I think that is unconstitutional. It goes against the equal treatment provision.
Making it illegal would be the most beautiful EO ever. Go after a couple of those “trillions”.
How do you stop Congress people from buying and selling stocks in their family members accounts? Seems like there would be lots of ways around this.
Disclosure of insider information is a felony. Thats how you stop it.
Play the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon game. It works, especially when vetting politicians.
Very calm and straight-forward explanations, which in some cases instantly debunk the fake news, e.g. “Are you firing Jerome Powell? Reports have said that you are planning to replace him.”
“No, I am not firing him, never thought of it.”
$7,000,000,000,000 of planned investment in the United States!!!
Has that been “front-page” news? Has that been trumpeted on the T.V. news shows?
No, of course not!
The Communist media has a rule: The only news about Trump is BAD news, and if there is no bad news, then we will fabricate bad news about him!
One example is the “feud” with Jerome Powell and replacing him and “disarray” in the White House as a result.
It’s, a great point. I hadn’t seen the figure for planned investment. Thank you.
Critical Theory: It’s called Journalism today.
He said that yesterday – it’s been all over the news, and another reason the stock market rebounded. It’s bad enough, don’t make it worse then it is already.
I don’t know anything about Atkins. How did Trump select him? Is he a MAGA guy, purely a competent choice without being particularly MAGA, or was he suggested by somebody else like Vance or Wiles?
In any case, I hope to see good stuff from Atkins in the future. If the MSM starts running hit pieces on him like they do with Hegseth and Noem, then we’ll know he’s doing a good job.
My view, having listened to Mr Atkins acceptance speech, is that he is a solid choice…at least as far as his loving references to his late mother and father would indicate. His honouring of them first before the rest of his comments spoke to me of his character.
And while this is no scientific basis for judgement, nevertheless there was a moment when he seemed to have that gentle, smiling Kevin Hassett face that we all like to much.
Whatever else his qualifications may be, I sense (based on the above) this man will perform his job honourably and in the best interests of this country.
And will justify President Trump’s trust placed in him to do so.
Only thing to know for right now is he is not Gensler! Gensler is 100% owned by the hillabeast.
Another worthless agency doing nothing to help the average American investor or taxpayer.
Day 1 – pick a Chinese company (Alibaba) and delist them from the US stock exchange.
I enjoyed listening to this. It is so refreshing that Trump is constantly open to answer questions and speaks to the press at every opportunity. It is such a contrast to the former administration. I like how Trump openly communicates his plans, intentions and goals. I also liked how he dismisses questions that are irrelevant. He won’t play their game. He takes charge of the press conference and effectively uses it to communicate.
Mr. Atkins seems genuine. I hope he can get some reins on the wild wild west that is wall street.
Please attack insider trading sir. It is an insidious form of wealth-theft.
When asked about the Epstien files, said “I dunno”, then went on to talk about the JFK, RFK a MLK files,…avoiding Epstien topic by distraction.
The more they obsfuscate, the more it makes me wonder what IS in the files?
I understand he is a pro crypto guy as opposed to Gensler who was very anti crypto.
The biggest changes he could make are as follows:
1. Enforce the laws on naked shorting and make it hurt.
2. Make FTDs (Fail to Deliver) illegal with stiff penalties
2. Eliminate dark pools to make price discovery transparent
I highly recommend that you CONTINUE reporting truth. Pay attention treepers, we have a “new” member who can write expertly on matters that really DO affect us all.

ty Weylan. Never met you, but this resonates to powerfully ..hard not to ignore.

MAGA. Another GREAT press availability…!!
TRUMP SIDE EYE
TSE.
it might look to the unitiated as a squaring or posturing.
but they MISS TOTALLY THE FEEL OF THIS NON VERBAL.
It means: I have faith in you.
it makes all the difference when you notice things about a person, who they look, behave and react.
it’s the subtle moments. a nod of approval versus the nod of distain.
to the traceable amateur they may appear to the same, but to the witness, they are miles apart.
I have always believed that art ONLY imitates life. Because it can’t really totally flourish in the same moment of life. It’s good to have art. But is far more important to understand what art IS ATTEMPTING TO CONVEY.
that life, as it is, is self evident and cannot even be represented fully by art.
this is why I mostly distrust AI. It’s a proxy./
this is why I mostly distrust media. It’s a proxy.
this is why I TRUST PRESIDENT TRUMP.
he is the first article. You can proof his work and it stands as it exactly is.
there is a lesson here.
BE YOURSELF AND NO ONE ELSE.
