I’m part of an international non-denominational women’s Bible group. There are about 20 members, but only about 12 to 15 show up at a time through our weekly study.
It surprises me that there are liberals among us. I can’t personally reconcile how one can be liberal Democrat or Republican In Name Only (RINO) and still claim Christ as their Savior.
They want the power of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit but do not abide by the teachings of the full Word of God. I wonder:
Have they just not read that part of Scripture where it says they are blatantly wrong?
Have they somehow misinterpreted the meaning of The Word of God and what is their logical support in doing so?
Do they just play “church” for social and factional reasons?
Are they babies in Christ or just negligent?
Scripture reads that a believer must grow in maturity and knowledge. Maybe some think they can just keep up “plausible deniability ” if they ignore the Whole Story for the sake of retaining their personal comfort zone and self-governance. It’s why we have so many fake Christians who turn off others from religion because they seem dishonest and insincere.
Even full churches are easily diswayed. They are the nicolaitans that Christ comes back to war with during His Second Coming. Christ doesn’t just go after satan and his minions… He goes after the nicolaitans… and I don’t want to be anywhere near that when the battle occurs! It’s like you’re sitting next to an unapologetic heathen and you’re waiting for the lightening to strike. (shiver!)
Here is what I do know… each of us goes before God at the end of this human life. For the Saved, their sins are wiped clean at salvation and they are in the Book of Life. For the unsaved, they are found in the Books of Deeds and they stand to be accountable before God for His Final Say. Salvation is a 1:1 occurrence.
We would make ourselves weary trying to understand why con artists are con artists. In today’s world, seems to me best to focus on that which is Holy, Truthful, and Good.
Don’t give the devil an audience. Nothing deflates a narcissist better than completely ignoring them. They only have the power and head space we give them.

I first came across Joshua Rifkin’s Scott Joplin recording around 1973 or so, maybe earlier. I bought this first LP and was just blown away by the quality of his playing . . . only later realizing that I’d initially heard him perform Scott Joplin in the movie “The Sting”.
Although I didn’t have a good stereo player at the time (nothing compared to the Linn-Sondek tonearm/Heybrook turntable/Klipsch speakers combination that arrived a few years later when I could afford better . . .just listening to his spectacular rendering of Joplin’s lyrical melodies stayed with me. In my estimation Rifkin’s wonderful playing is still the best way to hear Scott Joplin’s music. This is all of his 1st album. I think there are 8 pieces here. Enjoy, Treeper friends . . .

I spent yesterday gathering and cleaning tools and trying to get organized. Even with the new 36″ x 24″ tool box and cabinet combo I bought that has 14 drawers 24″ deep and a large top storage space with electrical outlets and the 6′ x 2′ steel peg board backing of my new work bench, I’m still am going to need considerably more storage. I’m going to have to drag the large plastic tool cabinet I have out in the shed and clean it up and bring it in the new garage.
Amazing how many tools, gauges, etc one accumulates through the years.
I treasure the wooden handled tools that my father had.
I have screw drivers and a monkey wrench that was my Grandfathers and then my Dads.
rah: I got my first tool box when I was about 5 years old and had a hernia operation. My father bought me a gift while I was in the hospital. It was a wooden chest containing a set of hand tools. Wish I still had that chest. That was around 1966, when things still lasted.

“The scope or design of the apostle in writing to the Romans appears to have been, to answer the unbelieving, and to teach the believing Jew; to confirm the Christian and to convert the idolatrous Gentile; and to show the Gentile convert as equal with the Jewish, in respect of his religious condition, and his rank in the Divine favour. These several designs are brought into on view, by opposing or arguing with the infidel or unbelieving Jew, in favour of the Christian or believing Gentile. The way of a sinner’s acceptance with God, or justification in his sight, merely by grace, through faith in the righteousness of Christ, without distinction of nations, is plainly stated. This doctrine is cleared from the objections raised by Judaizing Christians, who were for making terms of acceptance with God by a mixture of the law and the gospel, and for shutting out the Gentiles from any share in the blessings of salvation brought in by the Messiah. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

So worthy to give pause to the missing and exploited. But for The Grace and Mercy of God, go I. My heart clinches as we brushed so closely to such evil. Some men-folk I’ve been around this week – my boss and his Krav Maga self; the military recruiters meeting with Savannah – all spoke of getting in a pile and going to “pay some deviants a visit”. I know I shouldn’t pray for violence – but I do. I pray for God’s Divine Wrath and Jesus’s Second Coming in which Jesus and His Mighty Angels will show evil it’s ultimate demise. It will be merciless, sharp, deep, and burning.
Father God, reach out Your Arms and enrapture those who are in pain and captivity today. Draw them close to You and bring them Hope of Freedom in their future. Release them from captivity. Infuse in them Your Healing and bring them Home. Surround them in safety and warmth and fill them with so much joy and peace that memories of evil cannot take up residence or overcome them. Father God, let no weapons formed against us prosper. Rise up worthy men and women warriors to address the needs of the captives and help them be released from their bondage., so that they would live in Your Freedom forevermore. I hold these Truths to be self-evident – that all men are created equal… and in the Image of their Creator… God Himself. In Jesus Name and in the midst of The Holy Trinity – The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit – Who Was, Who Is, and Is To Come – world without end. AMEN

Boasberg’s efforts were scotched by the court of appeals and he indicated he couldn’t give the plaintiffs the relief they requested. The plaintiffs were seeking an order requiring the government provide 30 days’ notice for removal, among other things. I certainly expected this fandango was over by now. Then, in the middle of Friday night, the Supreme Court issued a stay blocking the administration from using the Alien Enemies Act to carry out mass deportations of illegal aliens who are gang members. Justices Alito and Thomas dissented. Just last week the Supreme Court said virtually nothing the administration does under the Alien Enemies Act is subject to judicial review, so it’s puzzling what they intend to review. Or as some have suggested, with Trump having overcome the media and administrative state’s resistance efforts, have the judiciary decided to step into the breach?

There were a few notes yesterday that were left for me, but I didn’t see them until late… I’m sorry for that. I responded late last night.
I wish the little “bell” by the Post Comment would work. I think it’s supposed to alert when someone replies to you, but it doesn’t work for me.. probably my msn account doesn’t play nice.
That said… I pop in as time allows, or as I’m getting dragged around like a rag doll, and I miss things. Never meaning to or wanting to seem like I’m ignoring a message.
I may use the “search” feature if there’s an ongoing conversation or something I’m looking for… but then not have ability to read full thread for updates.
Classic occurrence of anyone conversing with a single mom… start about a thousand micro conversations and have to jump around to tie up and complete each one because something else pulls you away… like the children’s book “If You Give A Pig A Pancake” It’s a funny book, totally relatable (!), circular narrative where a young girl tries keeping up with the demands of a compounding scenario.
“If you give a pig a pancake, she’ll want some syrup to go with it. You’ll give her some of your favorite maple syrup, and she’ll probably get all sticky, so she’ll want to take a bath.”
Just like anyone else who has another depending on them… we have a focal goal and then get pulled a million directions on the way to that goal. A fifteen minute project done alone takes an hour for someone fielding demands of others which take priority and pulls her away. It’s why vacuuming can take an hour. Ha ha!
What a splendid Gift of a Tree we have and the sweet Fellowship with one another. Praying blessings on you and your families.
Okay – maybe I don’t so much “like” cleaning the fish – it’s kinda gross – maybe the guys can do that by the water and feed the local birdies. I second-guessed myself with that little vision of utopia. LOL
And I tend to bait hooks with hot dogs or shrimp as opposed to other squirmy things. I’m kind of a wuss.

We have not had a hurricane landfall in New England since 1994. Forecast conditions are indicating that patterns will be conducive for hurricanes taking a more northern track this coming season.
IOW this could be the year that some coastal water wind farms get destroyed. Then massive amounts of debris will wash ashore ruining beaches that New Englanders flock to during the summer making them unusable.
I can’t think of a better scenario to end the construction of those wasteful bird chopping, whale killing abominations off US shores forever.
The destruction of the water windmills is much to be desired – just sorry they are so toxic and their ‘falling down’ makes for horrendous ‘litter’.
Bet the water critters will be happy.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
