American inventor (Kodak camera) and founder of the Eastman Kodak Company, commits suicide by shooting himself in the heart at 77

Biography: George Eastman was an American entrepreneur who founded the Eastman Kodak Company and popularized the use of roll film, helping to bring photography to the mainstream.

Eastman’s key innovation was the development of roll film, which was more convenient and accessible than the photographic plates that were commonly used at the time. His slogan, “You press the button, we do the rest,” encapsulated his vision of making photography simple and accessible to the general public.

In 1888, the first Kodak camera was introduced, pre-loaded with enough film for 100 exposures. It was a simple box camera that truly brought photography to the masses: relatively affordable, portable, and easy to use. Once the film was finished, the entire camera was sent back to Kodak, where the film was developed, prints were made, and a reloaded camera was returned to the customer.

Eastman’s contributions went beyond photography. He was also known for his philanthropy, donating significant amounts of his wealth to various institutions and causes, such as the University of Rochester and the establishment of the Eastman School of Music. He also contributed to historically black colleges and universities and other community and educational facilities.

Eastman’s impact on business practices was also notable. He was a pioneer in the development of employee benefit programs, including profit sharing, life insurance, and retirement annuities, to ensure the welfare of his workers.

Despite his success and contributions to society, Eastman faced health problems in his later years, suffering from a spinal disorder that caused him constant pain. He ended his own life in 1932, leaving behind a note that read, “To my friends, my work is done — Why wait?”

UN JUDGE FOUND GUILTY OF KEEPING WOMAN AS A SLAVE IN UK

Ugandan UN judge Lydia Mugambe told police she had diplomatic immunity when they arrested her for keeping a woman as an unpaid servant in her Oxfordshire home.

Mugambe tricked her victim into coming to the UK, forcing her to work without pay and threatening her when she resisted.

A jury at Oxford Crown Court convicted her on multiple charges, including facilitating travel for exploitation and forcing someone to work.

Her alleged co-conspirator, Ugandan diplomat John Leonard Mugerwa, has already fled back to Uganda.

I thought it would be useful to objectively lay out what the current platform is of the Democrat Party, based on their own words and actions. Their platform currently stands on ten tenets:

1. Resist all efforts to reduce the size, scope and power of the unelected federal bureaucracy.

2. Resist all efforts to cut off the flow of tax dollars to NGOs.

3. Support an endless, unwinnable war in Ukraine with the taxpayers’ dollars.

4. Undermine Israel’s efforts to end Hamas, an entity chartered to destroy Israel and murder all of its Jewish population.

5. Claim that it is a scientific principle that a man becomes a woman because he says so. Literally every institution, person and business entity must agree with this or face severe penalties.

6. Support illegal immigrants staying in the USA indefinitely, with benefits paid for by the taxpayers.

7. Oppose the deportation of non-citizens living in the USA who violently call for, among other things, the destruction of Israel and the US government.

8. Cripple our economy based on a specious and unproven theory of “manmade climate change.”

9. Eliminate the Second Amendment.

10. Destroy Elon Musk.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me. 

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

There is a fine line between hardcore and stupid! Good drivers pay attention to the weather forecast and know when to park it. Take a break and wait for it to pass. It’s not like this came out of thin air. Known it was coming. I was a hardcore driver that kept going through a lot, but I paid attention to the forecasts and tuned in to the NWS when driving. Three times I pulled it in and waited it out and I do not regret any one of those times. 

Though to be honest there were a couple times I probably crossed that line and should have parked it and didn’t and just got lucky I guess. And there was one time there was no doubt that God was my copilot.
