You’re speaking my daughter’s love language. I introduced her to Andrea Bocelli’s music and we were blessed to see him in concert. It was quite expensive, but we did it for our Christmas celebration together prior to Covid and Savannah even chose matching evening gowns in different colors for us to twin and wear. Hers was brown to go with her auburn hair and mine was champagne to go with my strawberry blond hair.
Well, Matteo Bocelli was due to sing here at the Palladium in Carmel, Indiana in December 2024. She has a total crush on him now and even started listening to audio to learn Italian. She was thinking she would land her an Italian husband. Now if you’ve read our posts before… she’s prone to have outstanding experiences at these concerts where somehow we get access and get backstage, get up close and personally interact with these kind of folks. It’s happened more than once – so I now I don’t put anything out of the realm of possibility with her. Marry into the Bocelli family – okay by me… says Mom!!! LOL
Well, the tickets and experience was just too rich for our blood and our modest budget… the ticket package she was after was around $700 to personally meet Matteo… so the timing just wasn’t there, but you can bet the moment I played this song you posted… I am getting side eye. Such fun memories. So glad she has such a precious appreciation of good music and hot Italian guys.

This is a film short that is 30 minutes in length. There is a girl and her father and some classic rock music to illustrate the story. It’s about an exceedingly too common health issue among our children today.
However, there are many great rewards along the way.

What a testimony to the unique giftedness of every one of God’s Created In His Image.
One of the early jobs of my youth (18 yo) was as an Outdoor Educational Camp Leader at Arrowhead Ranch in Lake Arrowhead, California. The public school system would send us children for the week; third graders or fifth graders. The third graders stayed three days, while the fifth graders stayed 4 1/2 days with us during the school season.
The ratios of cabin leaders to students was 10:1. There were no televisions, no phones (before cellular – but we wouldn’t have allowed those either), and there may have been a clock radio in each of the cabins for morning alarm use to keep us on schedule. Basically, no electronic devices of any kind. There was no makeup for the girls, no curling irons, no perfumes, no hair sprays, no styling gels, no putting on airs of any kind – it was a “back to nature” adventure for these children.
The kids came from the valley of Southern California and thus were often ill-prepared for the climate in the mountains. By the end of the week, I would have 10 little minions all resembling me because they wouldn’t have the proper clothing to deal with the changing weather at that elevation. My cabin was on a mountain that overlooked a vast valley and one could see a ski lift at the ski resort near our campground.
We taught the kids orienteering, basic survival, plant, insect, animal identification, tracking, astronomy, conservation, and on Thursday nights – we had our conservation themed talent show where each cabin competed for best performance voted on by the kids and the teachers who attended, and the adults who ran the campground.
One week, we received HIGH ALERTS that a male student was coming to the camp in the next round who was a deeply disturbed individual with severe abusive outbursts. There was rumor he pulled a knife on someone. The teachers spoke terribly of this young man and an element of fear gripped the camp wondering what or who was going to be encountered and how we would plan to handle it.
Now these kids often came from homes of little to no attention. Remember, despite being advised of necessary gear to pack, 100% of the time the kids came completely ill-prepared. We had normal kids, severely abused children, extreme introverts with little social interacting skills, extreme attention-grabbing extroverts, and eclectic children who were not at that time assigned “labels” of their mental acuity.
With close proximity to these children came a rawness in relationship and an almost immediate trust. They discussed elements of abuse, neglect, sexual prowess beyond their years (some of them knew terminology that I didn’t know!!!, and sometimes utter brilliance… and I was completely taken aback by their forthrightness. When those children felt SAFE, they really bloomed.
The disturbed young man was placed in my friend, Vince’s, cabin. Vince mentioned him a high spirited young man, but there was something off, but unique, about him. As we cabin leaders instructed and stewarded our charges, our rapport with them and the respect they gave us was truly an honor for us. Vince mentioned to me… “Joan, this kid. The one they all claim is this horrible violent deviant. He has a gift. He can play music by ear. He doesn’t know how to read sheet music, but he can play a song just by hearing it. He’s writing a song and practicing it with the boys for Thursday.”
Thursday rolled around and each cabin presented their unique talents. Vince’s cabin was up. The boys proceeded to sing a song, written by the deviant boy, accompanied by the boy on guitar – a uniquely written musical piece just as special and beautiful and impactful as a ballad by Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. The entire room stopped breathing. The cabin leaders who had worked with this child all week just GLARED at the school personnel and their vilification of this kid. That kid won the show and he won an element of respect from his fellow students that I am certain carried with that child through his lifetime. I do not know his name or the school he attended, but I am certain that moment changed that young man’s entire life going forward.
100% of the time – the students that came in returned to their biological age. 100% of the time – they did not want to go home and felt we cared more about them then their own parents did. They wanted to stay with us. They became carefree children again and they played, joked, built things in community, had righteous snowball fights, campfires, breathed fresh air, drank clean water, and shared their little souls with us. The days were too short and there were often tear filled goodbyes. Those kids sure taught me everything about humanity and God’s Perfect Creation In His Image. What if Michelangelo would have been forced to be a banker in the family business and not allowed to pursue his gift of artistic expression at 13 years old? How many Michelangelo’s are being destroyed right now?
The greatest ERROR WE MAKE in stewarding and guiding these children is trying to force them to be something or someone they are not. Human beings are not automatons made to fit in cookie cutter molds and made to comply in little robotic assembly lines where they are not allowed to think, breath, play, or express unique giftedness. They are strapped to desks, demanded to hit a certain GPA, and should their teacher or administrator dislike them or label them as disposable… then they have the means to absolutely BREAK that child’s future until some well-meaning person interacts with them and calls out the leader and the talent in each of them. Not everyone is a mathematician, writer, or biologist.
I have seen the depravity of these teachers, administrators, and politicians. It is not ALL of them, but it is certainly the ones IN POWER and the good ones refuse to speak up out of fear or loss of tenure. The absolute criminal, satanic behavior, as they offer these kids up for their satanic worship and sacrifice. It is not sufficient for these people to lose their jobs. They must be totally destroyed and ruined. They should be imprisoned, though I don’t want my taxpayer money paying for their three squares and a cot. Get them the hell out of our country and strip them of citizenship. We trusted them. We should have been able to, and were justified, in trusting them.
It is serious business how the dragon of the Book of Revelation in the final battles is set to devour the Child birthed of the woman and The Lord scoops up the child to Heaven and He gives the mother wings for her to flee to the wilderness where God takes care of her there for 3 1/2 years.
satan is after our children. Take away all the noise and all the “problems” and it all boils down to the devouring of our legacy children. All of it. Every war. Every malfeasance. It is set to damage our children’s prospects, their faith, their trust, and their physical persons.
A child with disabilities or learning differences is not personally responsible for their condition that was inflicted upon them. They are just tasked with trying to work with it and through God’s Grace and Mercy – each can find their Perfect Divine Purpose.
When a child and their parents respectfully ask the school to not expose their children to lewd and lascivious content (the same content if presented to a child outside of the school industrial complex would be considered grooming and pedophilia punishable by prison time and chemical castration), when they ask them to stop hyperfocusing on sexuality and forcing sexual conversations, imagery, and pornographic materials onto the children, when the child reports issues to “trusted adults” and the “trusted adults” dismiss them as the pornography being perfectly normal, when the child refuses to participate in acts victimizing other youth by calling boys “girls” and girls “boys” or “furries”, “cats”, “dogs” whatever…. when the child refuses to play into or support their mental illness and depravity… then the demonic turn and try to destroy that child for refusing to participate in their “group think”. These children who refuse see the destruction and refuse to assist it or be a part of it. They have moral character and are the future leaders of tomorrow. Future leaders that are content to forge a path less traveled – the narrow verses the wide gate – to run not walk against the grain. They should be lauded, built up, encouraged, and seen for who they are… not for who those around them force them to be.
We have squashed so much talent. Tortured so many minds. Devalued their bodies, minds, and their Spirit within them. Aborted so many children. Sold off the aborted baby parts in the name of human body part trafficking and Mengele research. If these kids today don’t see their parents, grandparents, community fighting for them and for others like them… then they internalize that they have no hope or power to change things.
No, I don’t call for the dismantling of the Federal Government DOE. I don’t call for Universal School Choice. I call for an immediate recapturing of all of our public school systems and higher education authorities… an immediate purging of mentally and morally corrupted staff and leaders… and a forced return to sanity of academic excellence in the forms of the reading (lexile score), writing, arithmetic, proven science, and critical thought. Schools have stolen parental rights and they are performing social experiments the depth that Mengele probably dreamed of.
I call for our children up to the age of 25 years to be evaluated, have a voluntary reformation opportunity to go back to school, and re-learn the basics and correct any learning gaps should they so wish to. Then, should they so wish to pursue higher education… make way the critical path to develop these young minds. Children do not hate school. They LOVE to learn and to become empowered as long as their education isn’t forcing them to be something they physically or morally aren’t. The only job of education is to give each person the opportunity to find their Divine God-Given Purpose and then point them into that direction and support their development in their gifting.
You want to Make America Great – protect our kids.

The problem (as I see it) … who is going to do the purging and reorganizing. Who is gong to decide who is capable / qualified?
The questions I have … should it be orchestrated at the federal level, as it is now? At the State Level? or as close to home as possible?
There is no doubt in my mind that we must protect our kids.

As I see it – the Federal level DOE should NOT be abolished. It would remove the oversight of the Federal government from intervening should a state level DOE run amuck and instill liberal abuses. I use as an example the State of Indiana, which is actively exercising abuse against the kids and parents and we are a “conservative” state. (We are a RINO breeding ground state.)
Having Standard Operating Procedures helps families who move from one state to another with portability of education, a fixed set of standards and performance expectations. Remove standardization – and you have 50 mini fiefdoms and the politicians are too eager to horse trade on our kids which can hold the public constituency hostage and elevate some states, while destroying others.
I’m proposing a level of Quality Control.
Right now… each state has its own set of rules on homeschooling and some are so restrictive, that it would prevent a parent from pursuing a job in another state due to the more relaxed rules for homeschooling in their current state of residence. This should be universalized. I have examples of Indiana and Michigan being less restrictive, while Pennsylvania is significantly more restrictive thus preventing families from moving to Pennsylvania.
Another small example of outrageous depravity of the local school corporation (Lebanon School Corporation in Lebanon, Indiana – because I NAME NAMES) and I have a HUNDRED stories and first hand examples – When I tried to get copies of my daughter’s work, they completely blocked me and said that I would have to do the following:
1) Sign a 2 page Non-Disclosure Agreement that I would not reveal my findings to anyone
2) I could only view her work on campus, only at a certain short time frame dictated by the school corporation and only under the supervision of a school resource officer
3) I could not take copies or pictures of her work off campus
4) I had to come alone and could not have a friend, relative, family representative (tutor or lawyer)
My response is… if my daughter is taking Spanish and I am not fluent in Spanish…then how would I be able to witness a pattern in her work to identify a learning gap? I would need the assistance of a Spanish tutor or qualified individual to review her work to identify areas to help her and create an intervention learning plan. I was denied this.
Why would they try to hide things? Why couldn’t I see her homework? She NEVER had any – it was all done on campus and her laptop was locked down with a firewall that when she left the campus – it was inaccessible for viewing at our home. I did see the smut books and I kept a few and marked pages as evidence of the pornography within. I was horrified at the paraphrased manipulation of classical literary works.
After I removed her from the public high school – my daughter’s grades were manipulated in August 2024 on assignments that were administered in Spring of 2024 – and she left the district and their care in June of 2024. In August, they were manipulating her grades from the spring. Why? (Because they were purposefully retaliating and lowering her GPA so she could not qualify for college because she quit their Social Studies team in protest when she was religiously persecuted by the same teacher.)
My proposal, ms Idaho…
There are teams of educators who are used in various states to spot check homeschoolers (I know they do, it or used to, in California) and those teachers can run assessment screenings… like the collegiate Accuplacer tests for instance… and they typically will aide the homeschooling family to identify benchmarks that need to be worked on and ideas for implementing such help. It helps kids stay on track with their learning at age and speed appropriate levels.
The Accuplacer test is what is used for entry level college students to identify any remediation or undergrad studies they need to take to develop their skills to achieve their academic pathway for their desired diploma. It determines a college student’s pre-requisites.
Why can’t they make this a standard operating procedure right now?
There are assessments out there for every level of student. I know, because we’ve taken them when identifying learning disabilities. Savannah was assessed and held back at Kindergarten and was formally diagnosed at 9 years old. So we’ve been doing this for 12 plus years.
Like a SWAT team so to speak. COVID created a “unique opportunity” of derailing our children’s education and the younger children who were not yet audible are showing delays in their speech development due to being unable to see people speak due to masking.
We need a Federal SWAT team of licensed educational professionals. Bring them out of retirement – deputize homeschooling Moms – or people that test highly on the assessment tests – who are highly trained in classical education and specific course work.
Make this a voluntary program for the families to learn about and enroll their children. Parents could even maybe administer the assessment tests at home to see if they wish to… or need to… pursue remediation.
Federally support the funding for this – and then create regional pop up schools or intuitive interactive online schools – maybe using the junior college campuses with flexible after school, weekend, summer schooling opportunities with qualified teachers who specialize in special education to catch our kids up. I believe it would encourage more children to attend college if they were familiarized with the campuses and comfortable in the familiar settings.
All voluntary for the students and the parents for children… 3rd grade through 12th grade… offered to any person up to the age of 25 years old. Those who were caught in the midst, or tail end, of COVID and who have suffered through the craptastic attack of Common Core and DEI that leeched into our education like a thief…. which has been ongoing in Indiana at least since 2013 that I have been able to track. (The real criminal in this for Indiana who blazed the trail – was Glenda Ritz who headed education here from 2013 -2017 and she is still CORRUPTING EDUCATION.)
We blow money like bubble gum for trash like the Ukraine fake war…. so why can’t we identify our critical deficit in our children’s learning and attack it like the real war it is?!
The taxpayers are forced to fund public education and currently 60% of Indiana’s budget goes towards it. We are forced, by law, to educate our children. The “institution” put parents who are trying to work, and who trusted their kids instructors, and placed those parents and children at a terrible disadvantage trying to fix the mess – THEY CREATED – when they made the decision to experiment on our kids with Common Core and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Critical Race Theory and whatever craptastic title they gave to instilling Social Emotional Learning which fed into mental illness.
We must CHANGE education. It is COMPLETELY BROKEN and only the favored by the leftists currently survive. Our state legislators handed over education K -college to the nut jobs. The condition of our workforce and our test scores prove their experimentation failed.
This is the real war. This is what is going to change the legacy and future of our country.

I have got to get into public policy on this. Even if it is as simple as conducting exit interviews on the children and families who abandoned the school system and why they left and what those children need. How do we give them what they need to show them that there are still adults out there who give a rip about their outcomes????
We need to find these little girls like in Justice’s video story and plug them into gifted musical programs to nurture the prodigies within themselves and build their confidence and send of Divine Purpose.

That’s a wonderful idea about exit views. I wish I had had someone to talk to just before I left school, a girls school,, rather too early, but I was so miserable and frustrated about what I considered stupid things, my excellent ( so I hear) school did.
It is now still considered a very good school (in the UK)and looks (online) as if it has tripled at least, in size.
I wish someone had listened, maybe we would have had some good ideas or at least expressed our point of view. The main thing I learned is the powers-that-be do not like change or even suggestions, they do not like their comfortable rut disturbed. Some of them have delusions of grandeur. Some of them are just dim.
My son went through some different, and some similar , miserable and unpleasant experiences in the Canadian school system so I think there are the same problems in almost every place you go. He, like I did, got his degree later, after a few years away from it, working.
One thing I know, that might not help much, is that while my father was alive ( and we had the money) I went to a small private school from kindergarten to age 9, that school was amazing and so nurturing and successful academically, as the kids loved to go to it.
I talked to Betsy about it once online and she understood what I was saying about special dedicated teachers that treat each child as an individual and who care about each one. usually creative and ,imaginative people. That’s what this little private school gave their children. Going there was a blessing for me as a child.
Maybe a lot higher standard of training for teachers is necessary. Maybe asking those student teachers are they really sure they want to
choose that career, it is one of great responsibility, it’s not just a job, it can impact a person’s whole life.
Maybe you should consider getting into politics yourself, if not now, maybe in the future, You could spend the present studying the problems, maybe looking at the systems in other countries and see what works and what doesn’t. and preparing yourself for public speaking.
Maybe see if there are courses available in Education Management.
I do hope the Lord helps you find that special niche you were born for. You have so much to give.

Your story is all too similar. We simply aren’t giving our best to our kids and we can do better.
As you mentioned, I, too, believe that the smaller Christian education my daughter received PK – 7th grade saved her. Not every parent can afford it.. even with the school choice vouchers… here it is still an $8k -$10k investment per year even with the vouchers.
We must reform.
For now, we can all have eyes open and increase awareness and speak up and out. Each of us still has parts we can play in these kids lives regardless of our present chapter of life.

I just did some reading. IA. schools are downright primitive—right out of the ’70’s. What you described about Savannah’s HS appears to in violation of a bunch of Section 504 and ADA rules. So much so I’m surprised they haven’t had a stack of complaints filed against them. (I now strongly suspect their administrative “firewalls” are intended to encourage families with LD and other disabled students to leave. Which of course is what you and Savannah did.)
As a dyslexic HS student, I would never have made it through a school like that.

The devils are emboldened and give not one ounce of care in violating laws. Not an ounce!
The former Principal informed me there were “several” lawsuits he was reviewing with our district and the Superintendent bragged to my face of squashing legislation in session that would have sought to protect our kids. He laughed and said if the legislation passed, it would remove “humanity” from the schools. Well, how’s that humanity working for us all???
They kill and bury the news stories. Just try to follow up on any of the violence in our schools, up to and including students committing suicide from bullying, and there’s ZERO follow up or public notice of reform.
They isolate the parents, clamp down like a steel trap on social media, and no longer address anything in public forums. The closest you can get is 3 minute one-way speeches to the school board … with ZERO answers in return… and even those they do everything to shut down and the public rarely, if ever, attends… because nothing ever gets done.
Just the amount of money managing the numerous lawsuits is staggering and should be public knowledge as they are taxpayer funded institutions. Lawyers are too few and far between and too few have the brass balls to go up against the powerful DOE attorneys.
They even attempted to pass legislation threatening parents who try to sue them with predatory retaliation should you so dare to go after them. They have scared parents and children into complete and utter submission.
Even the local city police departments defer to the school police force as they have become independent, self-governing compounds…. all on the taxpayers dimes. I’ve spoken to two different cities’ police departments and social services. Even parents who work within the social services system cut and run rather than stay and fight.
It is diabolical. We aren’t sending kids to schools anymore… we are sending them to penitentiaries… with all the gangland violence and depravity that occurs behind prison bars. Children learn there that they have no Constitutional rights and they are owned by their masters. It is not about qualitative and quantitative results… it is about feelings and biases… and manipulating from trauma… which is utterly garbage. If the child doesn’t already have trauma… they’ll create trauma… to control them.
I want them taken apart.
The special education department wanted me to spend $12,000 to $16,000 on a summer initiative program where Savannah would be sent away from home including overnights for 6 weeks or so… to learn to work in the hospitality industry as a laundress!!! A maid for hotels!!!! And if I couldn’t afford it, I could get an interest bearing loan. I shudder to think how many families participated in it…. just to get a break from their kids… and how many kids were potentially victimized there.
My daughter is not low functioning… she’s high functioning and can fly a Cessna airplane… three times thus far!!!! She disseminates information differently than a neurotypical mind and in her own way can be brilliant.
I don’t know how I’m going to do it… but there is a Divine Purpose for being witness to what I’ve seen here. I’m going to work to be integral in dismantling this criminal syndicate and getting these filthy pedophiles and satanists out of schools.
We had teachers caught in sting operations luring children to the school building to be assaulted there… because the pedophiles felt protected there! A school bus driver admitted in camera to raping a child. We had teachers egging on students to mercilessly beat weaker children while filming the abuse. Multiple children have committed suicide due to the failure of the administrations to protect them from their taunters and the parents weren’t informed of the level of abuse their children experienced while on campuses. I can think of half dozen instances over two years… immediately that come to mind… in a twelve mile radius. Those are ones I know about… how many are there that are still untold?
It is outrageous.
I will never shut up and I’ll never forgive. Never.
Another thing that should be mandated…
It should be a matter of public record how many lawsuits are filed against the school, the types of suits, and the disposition of the cases, and the payout dollars.
Keep the names anonymous for protective purposes for the children… but if guilt be found of administering staff… then, by God, parents should know about it to hold their school officials accountable and root the evil out of there.
Plus incoming families should know if there’s a history of abuses of power and what remedies have been taken to address and correct them. And merely moving around criminals and pedophiles from one district to another is unacceptable.
The current Principal of the high school has been tossed by two former school districts for abusive behaviors and dereliction of duties… and the news stories were squashed when former district employers tried to warn or district about him. He’s still in place and still in leadership… with the demons he serves… they probably approved and sought after his special skillset.
Parents should know who they are handling their children to.

I want you to know something very important. You open your heart and your analysis of things are very important to me and many others here who choose to stay quiet about it.

My Magic Wand is correct. There was never a next-in-sequence film made that I know of. I did look around but found nothing. You’ll notice in the comments section on YouTube, everyone is upset about it.
For good reason, because this thing was very well done and needed to be made into a full feature film.
It looks like it was intended to raise money for autism but then it was never continued. Maybe because it didn’t do well in that endeavor? I really don’t know.

That’s an excellent observation. Covid probably halted everything. She aged out, so the script would need to advance her age forward to use the same girl. Not easy to do, but also not impossible. I could probably write the script myself.
The money always controls the drug trade, whether it’s legal or not.
The key is to use what works, but also understand the consequences if there might be any. Usually, there are side effects.
For instance, I have health issues that require steroids. But, I’ve been blessed because I have been using them for 20 years with no effects and am very fine and comfortable.

that covers inflammation controls due to auto immune disorders and the interviewee discussing how God created us versus what humanity has made us.
Incredibly interesting and one I’ll need to revisit repeatedly to absorb it all.
I’m drinking from a fire hose as I’m learning the relationships between Hashimotos, Hypothyroidism, Homocysteine, Cortisol, high cholesterol (with 0% calcification found in heart), high blood pressure, stress triggers through long COVID spikes, Parosmia (damage to olfactory nerve), MOPD, lung damage, early onset (overnight do not pass go do not collect $200) menopause at 48 yo, and intramuscular tissue and nerve damage. I’m 51 now, but it’s been not so much fun.
People should really just not mess with my kid to piss me off further. I’m in no mood.

Just an idea of the stakes and why I said earlier we have been truly blessed:
I mean how many here rely on SS for a significant part of their retirement income? Sherry and I do. We could make it without it because the house is paid off and we have investments and savings, but our retirement would not be nearly as enjoyable without it. And I know we’re some of the lucky ones.
Same for us, rah. Back in the day when my wife’s Alzheimer’s no longer allowed her to teach, I wisely paid off the house and got us completely out of debt. Best thing I ever did for us. My goal was for us to simply have “enough”. It worked quite well, in fact.

An update on yesterdays post about a shooting at the home of a friend of my son.
Your prayers helped, Ryan made it thru surgery and is in recovery.
The shooter was Ryans cousin. After Ryan was shot he wrestled one of the 2 guns away from the shooter and killed him with it.
A couple of weeks ago Ryan’s Dad had a fatal heart attack and it was the cousin/shooter that performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. It’s believed that it broke him, he began drinking and using drugs and could not handle the nightmares, PTSD.

Israel Update:
I slowed down with updates because of my own upset with the way the things are going.
I don’t like to be depressing, I try to keep the bad feelings to myself and hope for the best.
Anyways, I will do my best to update you with what I know.
-Lebanon: So it appears that Bibi agreed to stop and do a deal because Biden threatened to not Veto a ceasefire UN Resolution. Such Resolution could have isolated Israel against the West. So before pushing Hezbollah all the way to the Litani River and clearing all the area, we stopped and agreed to a deal whereby the Lebanese army will clear the area for us and supervise to keep is clear.
The problem is that the Lebanese army is much weaker than Hezbollah, many in it are Shia and family of Hezbollah terrorists and they were collaborators of Hezbollah for decades.
We already see that they are not doing it so Israel got Trump’s agreement to stay some extra thee weeks to clear more zones and enable the Lebanese Army to do their job.
I have to also mention that most of the Shia villages by the border served as millitary installations and the IDF flattened them. So it will take time and money to rebuild.
As we speak we know that Iran is flowing many millions of dollars to help Hezbollah to recover. They send it through Turkey (flights) sometimes with Turkeys collaborators and others.
The reason for my frustration is that it’s clear to me that Israel should have kept the land until it is clearly under control. As now it is a matter of time till we are back to what it was.
10/7 should have been a lesson, you can’t have armed terrorists by a border, period.
Some of our tens of thousands of residents of the north may never come back home.
It’s not perceived as safe. Even if Israel persuades everyone involved to have the IDF stay and hold a few positions in Lebanon. Those positions would be open to attacks.
On the good side and it may cancel all my worries, Lebanon now has a new President and Prime Minister. They are not Shia. Hezbollah not only lost a lot of military power and lost Syria, it also lost political power inside Lebanon. So it’s possible that the Lebanese will take care of our problem. But it’s not likely. The involved used to collaborate with Hezbollah.
On the other hand Trump may be a factor when he starts to crush the Iranians financially. But I will dedicate a paragraph to Trump to see what he is doing and likely to do.
–Gaza: This is the real area that is perceived as off the rails. Israel is split as to this deal of hostage release. On the one hand we perceived that the hostages are running out of time but on the other hand when Bibi released some 1,100 terrorist for one soldier before, some 82% returned to terrorism. This had a cost in many Israeli lives and ultimately Sinwar who was released gave us the 10/7 disaster. We now witnessing the release of hundreds of killers and a couple of thousands of terrorists.
So anyways we now see the release of the women (Probably all the living women were already released) and the older guys are in progress.
We are on the 14th day now. On the 21st day 3 more will be released. On the 28th day 3 more will be released. On the 35th day 3 more will be released. On the last week 9 will be released. 8 are dead bodies and 2 more who are hostages from way before 10/7 (an Arab and a mentally ill who crossed to Gaza on their own). As of today there are still 79 hostages in Gaza (dead and alive) there are some 44 dead bodies included, 22 alive (estimate)
26 more are to be returned on this phase. The second phase if done will have only the dead and the younger males, soldiers and civilians left to “trade”.
It’s a bitter pill to swallow when we watch the “victory” celebrations in Gaza and the West Bank and the return of terrorists celebrations. And the Gazans move back to the North many of them cheering and talking about more attack on Israel. Many are actual terrorists.
A perception of the stupidest ever deal in history when an army is giving away all its strategic victories on its own volition. I can only hope that there is a plan to eliminate them later on.
Israel introduced the formula of “kidnap our people and win”. We used to have another formula of “no dealings with terrorists”. This is the core problem of this or any deal.
We watched some horrifying videos of Hamas walking the hostages through hundreds of terrorists (some armed) and a screaming mob, pushed around and horrified.
Bibi threatened them a few days ago to knock it off and “we will not tolerate endangering the hostages”. We will see if they respond. Israel is in process to move out of most of Gaza to a buffer zone around and some positions in the Philladelpi Corridor between Gaza and Egypt.
The Rafah crossing to Egypt was opened for the Hamas injured people to leave. And none Hamas people too.
The supervision over the crossing is done by Palestinian Authority elements and an International force. Those PA people have the same purpose of eliminating Israel like Hamas so they can’t be trusted.
The PA man who is behind it is Mohammed Dahlan, he has been groomed by some Western forces to be the next after Mahmoud Abas (the current leader of the Palestinian Authority, PA. who are the undemocratic force that controls the West Bank now).
Mohammaed Dahlan is a political opponent of Abas. He has been in the UAE for a while now. The problem is that he was a terrorist with Israeli blood on his hands and was involved in some atrocities including an attack on a children’s bus in the year 2000 that killed two and some lost legs and more injured. He is “the moderate” that the UAE and some in the West are grooming to lead the Palestinians. By the way, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and dive deeper to see his actual state of mind as of now. It will take some work.
One if my sources is saying that he is all about destroying Israel like the others. I have to do my own investigation. I will if he is becoming a major factor. We recently had an Israeli government person close to Bibi who flew to the UAE possibly to set up this man as an option. The Rafah crossing could serve as an “arming Hamas” gate. But not yet. I will inspect what is happening there.
So the First phase of the deal will be over in a few weeks and the second is where Israel is supposed to end the war and get all the hostages out and leave Hamas alone. In this second phase they will also want the heaviest arch terrorists released who may be the “future Sinawars.”
This is where the catch is. There are conflicting news about it.
For example : Trump on one hand said that “he wants all the hostages out and the deal to work”. (IE. Phase two which leaves Hamas in power will also be done).
On the other hand he said that “Hamas will not rule Gaza”.
Bibi was committed to resume the war but he is quiet now.
Bibi will meet Trump in the White House in a few days. This will he a historic and critical meeting for Israel. They will probably have to coordinate the future of Gaza, Lebanon and Iran. If step two of the deal includes “removing Hamas” then the negotiation is useless and the war will probably resume.
One of the reasons for my discontent is the recent videos of Hamas forces spreading again in Gaza. It appears as Hamas is still strong. There are some reports of thousands of new recruits. In Israel there is a perception of being lied to with statements like “The Hamas brigades are dismantled”, “Total victory is near”. Statements from the top of the IDF, Bibi and his Defense Ministers are now in question. Bibi’s endless promises of getting rid of Hamas are now in question. We shall see what will happen in the next month or two and know better.
–Trump: He stated that he “wants to move some 1.5 million Gazans to other locations like Egypt and Jordan.” He repeated it and is putting some pressure on the Egyptian President and Jordanian king. There are about 2 Million plus people in Gaza. This is the dream of the Israeli right. This would mean a total defeat of Hamas and the Palestinian cause.
This opposes the Muslim world, big time. For decades they have been using the Palestinians as a knife in the straggle to destroy Israel. Over the decades they more and more identified with the Palestinians and it became in their heart. “They” refers to most Egyptians and Jordanians and other Arab nations.
Egypt and Jordan have made strong statements against Trump’s idea. If they do it they will become “bad” in the eyes of hundreds of millions if not a billion of Muslims. The only way this can happen is if Trump threatens to completely stop all US aide and makes it an existential threat and offers a significant reward on the other hands.
I am sure that Bibi is thrilled about it and will push it in their meeting.
It’s unlikely to happen but I can only hope.
Trump is forwarding conflicting views, on one hand he says “he wants the war over and the deal through”. On the other hand he says that “Hamas will not rule”.
He will have to decide. It can’t be both as far as I understand.
Trump on the surface appears to forward the same policy like Biden of trying to stop the war and negotiate with Hamas at the expense of Israel. Prioritizing the Saudi alliance.
On the other hand he is releasing the munitions and weapons and we started to receive the D9 Bulldozers that we need badly. This will release will include over a thousand 2000lb penetrating bombs that Biden stopped.
Trump wants the war over and a deal with the Saudis, a deal that includes normalization with Israel and trade and export routes through Israel and now he is considering Gaza port too, routes from Asia that is India and the Middle East to Europe.
A deal with the Saudis is also hundreds of billions of dollars for the US in trade and making the moderate Sunni Axis (Saudis, UAE, Egypt, Jordan…) stronger against the Iran, Russia, China axis.
To some degree the US interest is not fully aligned with the Israeli interest who hoped to complete the job with Hamas and hoped to get help to strike the Iranian nuclear sites.
The nuclear sites are perceived in Israel as a threat of a second Holocaust. This is why the meeting this week with Trump will be critical. The Saudis will have to get something major in return regarding the Palestinians or they will be perceived as traitors in the Arab world.
A Palestinian State or at least a promise for a serious progress on the subject.
Or a complete defeat of the IDF is Gaza which means doing the phase 2 and three of the deal whereby Israel is out and Hamas is left alone.
Bibi too have dreams about normalization with the Saudis and beyond.
But the Israeli voter and people will not agree to leave Hamas in power and to rebuild.
So we will know better in a month or two.
–The Bibas family. The mother father, baby and young child.
The father was just released. He seems fine considering the situation.
There is silence about the mother and children. I hate to say but it’s likely bad news. Anyways, we will know during this phase if it doesn’t fall apart.
–Israeli Seep State: There are three contenders to replace the Chief of staff or the IDF.
The current Chief of Staff is protected by the MSM of Israel despite of his responsibility of 10/7. This tells you a lot by itself. He is quitting shortly and interviews with the contenders are in progress.
One seems the better choice of the right who are looking for a more combative option.
Unfortunately Bibi is inclined for one who seems of the same mold. Who also took courses in Harvard ran by Liberals. His past shows conflicting views. Some of what we like and some too Progressive. So it’s hard to tell. This brings to mind the subject of Bibi.
Who is the real Bibi?
I will leave this question open at this point. I am still hopeful for better results before I dive into it. But he is not Trump who tells what he intends and does what he tells without hesitation. In this aspect we envy you my friends. And we envy your political system.
In Israel almost all of what Trump signed by Executive orders would have been stopped by the Progressive Supreme Court. And we just had a new Head of Supreme Court elected himself. A super Progressive Activist. Israel is not a full democracy when the Judges can interfere with any aspect of government and are not elected by the elected. There is a wired formula of how Supreme Court Judges are elected and it enemies the Judicial Branch to have the majority and they are Liberals who protect their majority.
So look at the good that you have and appreciate it. The good that we have is a favorable demography and a good generation.

PS. The new Chief of Staff was selected today, General Eyal Zamir. Not the one we hoped for at the right. Zamir was responsible for the Gaza border from 2011-2015 and was a part of those who shaped the wrong defense concept there. He was not chosen to Chief of Staff before and left the IDF so he was “clear” of wrong doing in 10/7. He was the CEO of the Defense Department and worked close with Bibi recently. Was purchasing munitions and weapons during the war and established new Israeli production lines to improve the munition independence of Israel.
General Zamir will be tested on the ground and would I rather not make premature assumptions on how he will be. Bibi likes him.

Hope all is well. I enjoy waking up to having a President who loves America and its people.
On the birding front I did have 10 male Cardinals at the same time in my yard which meant my usual 3-4 were supplemented by short range migrants fleeing the record cold, this was last week. I have 1 Tennessee Warbler hanging around on my bark butter feeders, 1 Yellow-Rump Warbler, 2 Ruby Crowned Kinglets (favorites smaller than Chickadees) and 1 Hermit Thrush. I am not sure if it is the same from the past 2 winters because I did have one die on my patio in October which was sad and you all felt the same.
Its starting to warm up and soon Spring. So I will be getting my Palm Warblers & Red-Wing Blackbirds shortly which are my early Spring migrants. Best to everyone, good birding to you all that love Birds.

The wild geese did major moves prior to the last arctic blast and we’ve noticed robins twice this year. All adjustments to the unusual weather one supposes. Some of our winter raptors should soon be moving back to regions north of us.
we mostly have the cardinals, chickadees, woodpeckers and a few mockingbirds who all do not seem to migrate out for the winter any longer. Oh and the raucous bluejays of course.

Ty for your local bird update. Do you ever get Snow Geese? When I lived in NJ near the ocean, some of the local park ponds would get Ross’s & Snow geese, Brant, Greater-White Fronted, Cackling and an especially rare Pink-footed geese. Since I am now inland off the Atlantic Flyway and much further South, I have only seen Canada’s and an occasional Snow goose. I realize how lucky I was living where I used to live and having my couple of thousand acre “magical forest” right across the street from where I grew up.
Speaking of Blue Jay’s right after that devastating Hurricane I saw the largest numbers of them at my workplace which is north of me and higher elevation and I believe it was because they were pushed out by it.
The thing about Birding is you can be surprised anytime anywhere. I do wish I was further out in the country than I am as I sadly took a ride nearby and saw a large new housing development in an old defunct farmstead.

In years past we put up feeders and tried to track who visited. We could identify ‘the regulars’, but there were always some we could not identify. I don’t remember how many bird books we had – maybe 10?. We’d frantically go looking – before the bird flew away. We finally concluded – we had seen a ‘new’ bird because it did not match any picture we could find. .. but looked like a ‘blend’. New photographic ability and techniques give better details, but I don’t have a way to watch the birds now – a pleasure much missed.

Ty for your comment ma’am. Sibley’s book on birds is considered the best, but I really like Crossley’s to supplement it as it has multiple pictures vs “paintings”. The old “Golden Guide To The Birds Of North America” was a childhood favorite that I used so much I burned the book binding. I still like it and use it though.
I should have kept a journal which I just started last year, years ago.
I do have some 90’s warbler sightings hikes I did at my old magical forest where I lived, which is really cool to look at. I once got 20 Warbler species in one day there and I am really convinced I even got a extremely rare Kirtland’s Warbler once. The 3 or so times I saw and heard the rare Golden-winged Warblers was also a highlight along with actually finding an active Louisiana Warbler nest and watching them go to and fro from their nest which was a couple of inches above the stream in the roots of a tree on the stream bank.
Birding never gets old.
Keep your eye on the sky as my old fellow Birding professor at college used to say.
we enjoyed rufus hummers in Colorado Springs. I loved to watch them go straight up while ‘swordfighting’. I suspect it was a way to strengthen young bird wings in preparation for migration. Never read it – prove me wrong (ha ha). I tried to capture them with my camera
They remind me of fairies and they never cease to amaze me whenever I see a Ruby Throated. Rufus are occasional here on the East side of the Mississippi River. They are beautiful ty
I looked, but never found a nest. I did see one taking a bath while we were watering – I took a px but all you can see are wet leaves. Until the above, I never knew they would perch.
Years ago I used to go to a Mennonite run food market along the Delaware River on the PA border. I got to be friends with many of the sellers there who had incredible food, especially the Bakery cakes. I love Ketchup and they had bottles from a small seller in Pa that was the best I had ever had. I gave some to my friends and they agreed. Unfortunately they stopped selling them and that was the end of that, so I thought as I tried to find “Rosie’s Kitchen” and at that time I struck out.
Recently I tried again and lo and behold found they went under a new name, Stello Foods. Now if you go to the link and watch the old video under “About Us” the founder and his grandmother are on a old cooking show with the grandmother cooking while her grandson the founder discusses how Stello Foods got started.
I recently ordered from them and the Ketchup is as great as I remembered. I did order a bunch of other sauces but have not tried them yet but am confident they will be great. The shipping is a bit pricey except everything is in glass bottles which is much better for a variety of reasons, and this small family run company packs them nicely. You can also see the ingredients.
The ketchup is spectacular and is all natural as I believe just about everything is here.

Thank you. I will check them out. I am from Pa and have bought lots of food from the Mennonites. My husband takes Mennonite youth out for Youth Hunt every year in pheasant season. There is a special season allowed for youth, no adults allowed to carry guns. They all have a good time.
I hold a special place in my heart for PA. My grandma was born there and many of my cousins are still there. My uncle played for Pitt U.

Living for a dozen years in downtown Charleston, a dining destination, before moving up the coast to a beach community halfway between Charleston and Myrtle Beach where birds of prey and many amazing species like hummingbirds enjoy our marshes and native flora.
Beach communities are always great for birding as the Ocean is always “Birdy”. Lucky for you. Sun & Birds!
I love rural but I also love food and am foodie also. If you lived in NJ I could steer you to some great ones. But I have done some “Diners,Drive-ins and Dives” tours where I used to live and currently live.

This their way is their folly. The weakness of the body is the effect of sickness. It is by the power and mercy of God that we are recovered from sickness, and it is our duty to be thankful. All Christ’s miraculous cures were emblems of his healing diseases of the soul. It is also to be applied to the spiritual cures which the Spirit of grace works. He sends his word, and heals souls; convinces, converts them, makes them holy, and all by the word. Even in common cases of recovery from sickness, God in his providence speaks, and it is done; by his word and Spirit the soul is restored to health and holiness.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
