Biography: Nicolaus August Otto invented the compressed charge internal combustion engine, which paved the way for the modern automobile engine.
Otto began his career as a salesman but had a keen interest in science and technology. In 1861, he built his first four-stroke engine, and later partnered with Eugen Langen to establish NA Otto & Cie, the world’s first company focused on internal combustion engines.
In 1876, Otto developed the four-stroke, compressed charge engine, known as the Otto Silent Engine. This engine operated on a four-stroke cycle, which became known as the Otto cycle. After graduating as valedictorian in 1967, McNair attended North Carolina A&T State University, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in 1971. He earned his PhD from MIT in 1976. His research and expertise in laser physics were well-regarded, and he joined the Hughes Research Lab.

By my figures, during Trumps term, it would take deporting about 54,800 deportations a day to get rid of all the estimated 80,000,000 illegal immigrants in the US, not counting those that self deport to save their chance to one day re-enter legally or die while here.
80,000,000 is the highest estimate I have seen.
Now officially in 2022 there were 11 million. Lets assume that was low then by at least a million and add another 20 million for the two years since then. That equals 32 million. If that number is closer to actual it would still take deporting over 21,900 per day to get them all during Trumps presidency.
At any rate ICE needs to be expanded and/or reinforced massively to even put a serious dent in the numbers.

Thought i would share a unique experience that occurred yesterday. First heard something like a low speed missile inbound.
Observed at very high altitude and at a distance a bald eagle in a stoop or dive. The wings were folded almost completely.
It went over my position at very high rate of speed and when arrived over the nearby river opened wings and pulled up. Had to have been significant G forces involved in that maneuver.
Something magnificent to see that I at least had never observed before. Happened way too quickly to take a vid.
Wow, very cool.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Since this isn’t really presidential politics, I thought I’d put it here.
After Sundance mentioned buying ahead to beat the inflation that was coming, many of us here were able to make a stash that has brought us through the Biden years. I wonder if anyone else has reviewed what you over-bought, what you got right, and what you bought that wasn’t enough.
In 2021, I had no idea what I would need over the year, much less what I might need over 3 or 4 years.
The things that I overbought were corn meal, oatmeal, barley, grits, beans, some canned vegetables (my garden did well), canned fruit, pasta, some condiments (mustard, catsup, special sandwich sauces, salad dressing), cake mixes, dried fruit, vinegar, yeast, jams/jellies, baggies.
The things that I got about right were rice, salt, spices and spice mixes, paper products, bathroom and other cleaners, sponges, soaps, canned soup, mayo, salsa, cheese, detergent ingredients, canning lids, jars of pasta sauce, peanut butter, pickles, cooking oil, condensed milk, Karo, firewood.
The things I ran out of were flour (about 20 lbs short), sugar (about 20 pounds short), butter (about 14 pounds short), canned mushrooms, plastic wrap.
The things that went bad so were unusable were crackers, oatmeal, egg noodles, muffin mixes, nuts….even when these things were vacuum sealed in jars. Catsup turned dark, but still tasted okay.
How did other people do with their stash?
I am okay with my canned vegetables, canned condensed milk, and fine with dried grains and flours. Way underestimated the amount of canned tuna and frozen fish we would need to get ourselves and the animals through bitter cold for long stretches of time.
Lots of bottled water for when the pump goes out, but underestimated liquid soap.
Yes, found out crackers don’t keep. That flour and grains like oats must be frozen (to kill any bug eggs) then thawed before sealing in plastic lined 5 gal pails with lids.
Making my own hardtack is on my to do list.

I was out running to pick up a few things from the grocery store and only got back in time to see the last 1/2 hour of the press briefing.
What I saw was a press secretary that answered the questions straight up, was not intimidated, didn’t take any crap, and called a spade a spade. And didn’t need a big three ring binder with tabs to constantly refer to when answering questions because she was well prepared and had obviously done the work herself so she knew the answers without having to constantly look at notes.
I also saw “reporters” asking questions that the POTUS himself had already answered previously in one of his several interactions with the press. Answers this truck driver already knew the answer to and thus were obviously a waste of time and a result of a lack of preparation on the part of the “reporter”, that is unless those “reporters” were hoping to find some inconsistency and play a game of I gottcha instead of actually trying to solicit information.

According to Fox News, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will announce that his is “immediately pulling” the Security Clearance and Personal Security Detail assigned to Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley. Secretary Hegseth has also directed the Acting Inspector General to conduct a Review Board, to determine if there is enough Evidence to have Milley stripped of a Star while in Retirement, for his efforts to “Undermine the Chain of Command” during the First Term of President Donald J. Trump. Additionally, a Portrait honoring Milley’s service has Army Chief-of-Staff will also be removed tonight from the Pentagon, similar to his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Portrait which was removed after President Trump’s Inauguration.

Prayer For Grace At The End Of The Day
Heavenly Father, as the day is drawing to its close I ask that Your continued love and presence be with me and with all that are Your children in Christ. Guard us through the long hours of darkness this night I pray, and keep us safe from all harm and dangers that may try to cross our threshold.
Give us, I pray, an untroubled night of rest and quietness of heart. May we be refreshed and renewed in body, soul and spirit as we rest our weary hearts in You through the hours of the night.
Lord, I pray that by Your great grace and mercy, You would grant us untroubled sleep so that we may rise up in the morning strong to do Your bidding. May we all rejoice for the dawn of a new day, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning. In Jesus’ name,

Prayer Of Reflection On The Past Day
Loving Lord, as the day is coming to an end, I want to thank You for being with me in all that has taken place today. I also want to lay the whole day before You, asking that you would show me if there is anything that I have done to hurt or harm another person unknowingly, or if I have done anything that is displeasing in Your sight, or quenched the work of the Spirit in me, so that I may turn away from such things in the days that lie ahead.
Lord, I desire to do Your will in all things. I pray that You would cleanse me of any wrong thoughts or attitudes that may have surfaced in my heart today. Wash me in Your cleansing flood, I pray.
Thank You, that You are a God who forgives our transgressions when we are willing to confess them to You, knowing that such cleansing before You immediately draws us back into sweet fellowship with Yourself.
Give me a good night’s rest I pray, and may I rest quietly in Your loving arms in the knowledge that in Christ, I am eternally secure, due to Your amazing grace, for which I praise You. In Jesus’ name,

Praise Your holy name Heavenly Father, for granting yet another day in my life and for being with me every step of the way. Thank You for the many blessings that You have provided and the love and fellowship that I have with the friends and family that in Your grace You have placed in my life.
My heart is so thankful for all the many blessings that I enjoy day by day, and today I am once again reminded that Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness endures from generation to generation.
Thank You, that I have been brought into Your family and have been made a child of God and a citizen of heaven. Words cannot express my love and devotion to You Lord

Get a bucket of water. Put it where you can make a big splash. Before you begin, notice how calm the water is. Put your hand or fist in the water and splash to your hearts content. Withdraw your hand. Notice how calm the water becomes.
