Asking again if you could either delete or provide readers with some way to delete the video pop up ad which appears at the top of the screen while reading the CTH site on a phone. The three other pop up ads which need closing are already annoying enough but the inability to delete the video ad at the top is very annoying. Understand you’re trying to pay the bills but particularly on a phone the CTH site is now basically unreadable after the recent chanages to pop up ad frequency and the unremovable video ad which takes up a quarter of the screen. If you absolutely have to have that video ad at the top at least provide readers with a way to close it.

I had to close four different pop up ads and stop the video ad at the top of this website from playing twice just to come back to this comment to check for a response. To no avail; no response from an admin or from SD. The video ad at the top still cannot be deleted.
Given the lack of response to repeated posts by myself and other CTH readers on this issue my conclusion is that SD has sold the CTH website to someone else. If that is the case it is truly sad since this used to be a great site with very responsive admin/moderators. I hate to see what it has turned into now with all the pop up ads and uncloseable video ad at the top.

“…7-15 God sometimes grants prosperity to wicked men in displeasure; yet they flourish but for a moment. Let us seek for ourselves the salvation and grace of the gospel, that being daily anointed by the Holy Spirit, we may behold and share the Redeemer’s glory. It is from his grace, by his word and Spirit, that believers receive all the virtue that keeps them alive, and makes them fruitful. Other trees, when old, leave off bearing, but in God’s trees the strength of grace does not fail with the strength of nature. The last days of the saints are sometimes their best days, and their last work their best work: perseverance is sure evidence of sincerity. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. A thought about your site layout, specifically regarding the comment section:
It would be nice if there was an option to collapse a conversation thread in the comment section instead of having to scroll forever to reach the next new comment. The first example I can think of is on the Reddit forums, where you can usually click to collapse the comment tree and quickly move on to the next comments.
It might be a boatload of work, I don’t know. But CTH is more popular now than it was a few years ago, so the comment sections have gotten a lot bigger.
Most complaints about the website are about use of mobile devices. Your settings on these devices control what you see from this site. The original design was implemented before these mobile devices were common use. It is up to you to do the settings or control how you view this site. If you are unwilling to do the settings or implement programs to allow a more friendly view that you desire, consider this…I would never walk into any house to visit and tell the owner to decorate their home according to my pleasure.
I do not use mobile devices to view the internet, cause my eyes can’t see the little X to close off what appears on screen, and it seems you have to scroll through forever to be able to read comments. Try to search for a ‘Mobile Device for Dummies‘ article that describes your device and make the settings you need. And…another suggestion might be use the reader mode if available.
