Today a set of President Trump nominees will begin the confirmation process with key hearings in the U.S Senate.
Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi (day #1); Secretary of State nominee, Marco Rubio; Secretary of Transportation nominee, Sean Duffy; Central Intelligence Director nominee, John Ratcliffe; Secretary of Energy nominee Chris Wright; and Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Russell T. Vought, will all be appearing in their related committees on Capitol Hill.
Bondi starts at 9:30am EST. Rubio, Duffy, Ratcliffe and Wright will be at 10:00am EST. Vought will be at 1:00pm EST.
Due to the simultaneous hearing overlap, we will post individual breakout threads on each nominee along with hearing livestreams. You can pick the ones to watch or switch back and forth.
Bondi, Rubio and Ratcliffe will be interesting to watch; however, each is in alignment with the dark elements of the Deep State and essentially a shoo-in for their respective departments. On the other hand, Russel Vought is the one most likely to face fierce opposition, in part due to the OMB controlling the purse strings of the executive.
The Senate will not like Vought interfering with their spending programs. The business of selling DC policy for personal financial gain requires a compliant OMB to organize the check writing. The Senators will demand strict adherence to their financial decision-making, and if Vought takes an independent executive position, there could be masks dropped and trouble in the confirmation process.
The Wednesday forecast is for a mostly sunny, happy, reach-across-the-aisle kinda day, with a chance of scattered thunderstorms later in the afternoon when Vought approaches the Eastern coastline.

I do not see Ratcliffe as you do. He was certainly the pivotman with all the data, and I continue to wonder why he didn’t speak up at the time of the 2020 steal, but though it’s an excuse phrase, it could be related to ‘sources and methods’.
Marco Rubio, an embarrasment to any Liberty loving Floridian, will indeed put on a show. That’s all he’s good at. In his Presidential debate, after abandoning all the positions he first ran on for Senator, and after having an abismal voting record, he spelled out his positions and what he would do as President, and the more he spoke, the more he believed his own crap. You could visibly and audibly see the change in his demeanor as he drank his own Kool-Aid.
It is appropriate that he goes to State, an agency that has been antithetical to the liberties and independence of our nation since its inception. Both he and State are stake holders in the Deep State with the latter being a major player!

There seemed to come a moment when Ratcliffe was “got to”, likely by Deep State, Schumer’s 6-ways to Sunday crowd. He became circumspect at times. His narrative thinned out and got duller. He omitted important stuff. Poof… gone.

As Chief of Staff to the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, Leahy made the decisions regarding grand strategy governing American participation in the war, especially the allocation of domestic resources to the production of ships, airplanes, and other tools of war; the size of the Army and Navy; the American participation in the invasion of North Africa, the timing of any invasion of France. Marshall and King were left with only the details. With his “Special Emissary.” Trump will need the same approach to “end run” Bondi, Rubio, and Radcliff. If Gabbard fails to be confirmed as DNI, then make her “Czar” of National Intelligence and end run whomever Trump must appoint as a compromise.
Here’s hoping history repeats itself.

Sundance, for me, even those three (Bondi, Rubio, Ratcliffe) are a shoe in I want to compare and contrast those we know are in the pockets of the deep state confirmations with those they do no want: Hedgeseth, Patel, Vought, etc.
What do I mean? I will use Pete’s confirmation from yesterday as the starting example.
The Marxists went after Hedgeseth with hearsay, personal issues, and attacks not associated with the role. Tim Kaine being the worst but Hironoe, Warren, Blumenthal, Gillibrand, and the other dark haired loon all contributed.
Pete was EXPECTED to maintain composure. He had to maintain calm. He had to smile and be cordial. No witty comebacks. NO snark. No loud pushback. He answered calmly and at times slapped them around but did so with candor and control.
Now watch today. Contrast the questions and demeanor of the Marxists towards the three vs Pete with special attention to Rubio because he will be given a lot more latitude; he was a Senator just a few weeks ago. He’s also a Marxist in R clothing.
Then pay attention to Rubio. I bet there will be times he gets very fiery, fist clenching and pounding, getting his sound bite in for the MAGAs out there all in contrast to how Pete was REQUIRED to act.
Then I will do the same for Patel and Vought. They will be more like Hedgeseth’s.

Trump’s cabinet nominees must say what needs to be said and nod appropriately to get confirmed. Once confirmed they must support Trump & MAGA agenda 100% regardless of what they said in their confirmation hearings. If not 100% loyal to MAGA and Trump, fire immediately.

I am still waiting to see the name of Trump’s eventual nominee for DEA administrator. I tried to make some contacts to suggest a retired 4-star general, Gus Perna, for that job. I have no idea if Gen. Perna even would be interested in that role or going back to work full-time. Also do not know where he stands on Trump.
Gen. Perna is a logistics expert. He was the person who was most responsible for the planning and execution of Operation Warp Speed distribution of the COVID shots. He did not design the shots; he made sure those temperature-sensitive preparations were delivered to the various jurisdictions and on a schedule to meet the 2-shot plan.
The DEA was founded in 1973. Over that time the cartels have grown and grown and added another line of business in human trafficking. It is time to augment the DEA’s law enforcement efforts by bringing in a logistics expert to counter the logistics experts who run the cartels and other organized drug crime organizations. Law enforcement tends to be reactive. I want someone who has the ability to be proactive.
I’m still beating this drum. I hope that someone with some pull can at least look into the possibilities.
These hearings, every four years, are one of those times when even the most useless and incompetent senator has a moment in the sun; for some of them, it’s similar to the July rodeo in 1956 when any 14 year old would have that moment in the arena when he’s showing his little calf: even if it’s just for 2-3 minutes, it’s a moment that he remembers all year long and, the fact is, it may be the only moment in the arena he ever has.
It’s too bad there’s so much at stake when some of these yahoos feel compelled to seize it as a time to strut their adolescent gotcha stuff.
I had a thought. Could a behind the scene be ” I will give you a Rubio for a Patel and Hengseth?” I could see Trump saying I will take Rubio but you must take my other picks. If the others don’t come through, then the Senate Rubio replacement could be give Trump the ground to dump Rubio and have a Senator more aligned with him.
