How anyone can watch Kamala Harris assemble words out loud, and then pretend she is organizing thoughts into cognitive sequencing that makes any form of sense, is just literally silly. There is that for sure, but then there are two other component:
a) low information voters, e.g., people who get all of their info from the corporate media, and
b) people who who are strongly inhibited from voting against how they have been trained to vote. Here is an example: My wife (who is an evangelical Christian) worked at a Catholic collage for 25 years as an assistant librarian, so she got to know the nuns (many of whom were Irish) pretty darn well. She was intrigued at how they all, despite being completely devoted to God and Jesus Christ, voted D every time even though they knew full well the Democrats’ central platform and program was pro-abortion, pro-adultery, pro-sexual promiscuity, radically anti-family, anti-God., etc. She had the sense that the nuns were actually afraid that they would go to purgatory if they did not vote Democrat.
Good thing Purgatory is not real.

And no one is afraid to go there, it means you are getting ready for Heaven.
The nuns were trained that way because their parents faced real discrimination for being working class and Irish Catholic, and it caused them to be blindly loyal to the party that actually promised to help them. That loyalty made them blind to the shift in party politics over the decades.

By the way, we have a dear [conservative] friend who lives in a ccrc (continuous care retirement community) in Newton MA. I went to Prince George’s Community College while on active duty stationed at Andrews AFB, Washington, D.C.
It is not what I would call a Primo Institution of Higher Learning.
There was a girl in my Ceramics class who just enrolled in the Ceramics class semester after semester. She was the paramour of the Ceramics teacher. It was a novel concept. She had access to all the materials ($50 lab fee) and equipment and got to hang around the college continuously day and night.
I enrolled in the Anatomy and Physiology course which started with 300 students. The teacher predicted correctly the first class that only six people would receive A’s. That 50% would drop before six weeks and another 50% of those left would take an incomplete or fail. I only saw the professor twice and the proctors taught the class. I got an A. I was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force working as a permanent sole night shift tech and attending college in the daytime. I was the only active duty person to complete the class out of five (nurses and techs in my surgery unit) who also started the same semester but took it at night.
That sounded like the lecture we got in our first nursing class….

I worked in Academia doing research. I had a very good friend, also my boss, who I did a ton of fishing and hunting with. When in the lab he listened to NPR all day. I think that was his only connection to the world. He is a PHd, very competent and well respected in his field. He claimed to be a Libertarian and independent, and I know he voted for Zero twice.
We never talked politics until Trump 2016. He had all the Biden signs out. I started distancing myself a bit. On a hunting trip a year later we got into an argument. It ended in me telling him he was on the wrong side of history.
The upshot is that I have a hard time wrapping my head around how somebody can be so smart and intuitive regarding their own professional interest, particularly a vocation where you are meant to question reality in order to explain it. Yet, when it came to anything outside of that bubble, they are totally swept up in the gaslighting of the day. They shout you down and shut you out. Any other explanation (truth) will not be allowed.
I know there is only limited time in everyone’s busy lives to investigate the truth of matters, but good grief already yet, even one time watching that dolt Kamala speak has got to make even the most ardent true believer to question themselves. It boggles the mind. My old boss and I (I retired during the covid insanity) are only on a cordial basis now, and haven’t done a thing together since that day in the woods 7 years ago. Reminds me of a story my father told me about Dizzy Dean, a Cardinals pitcher in the 1930’s, getting beaned while running the bases, back in the days when pitchers actually batted.
