I believe that Fetterman was placed in the Senate by DEVINE PROVIDENCE, to thwart the purchase by Japan of US STEEL. Well, if we are gonna make America healthy again, let’s do a few things for seniors. Two key areas in health are the mouth and hearing. Good dental care is imperative for the immune system to work properly, the digestive system, and even heart failure, to work effectively, etc.. This is well established fact. Yet, dental is not considered basic health care for seniors and instead considered elective care. Too many seniors are NOT getting rotting, failing teeth fixed and living with decay and pain. This affects greatly the quality of life factor for seniors. Yanking all the teeth out and replacing with dentures is not an alternative should that be the solve. More times than not the elderly that have full dentures only wear them for show and end up not dealing with trying to eat with them and affects what they eat…..or don’t.
The other issue that needs to be covered by Medicare is hearing aids and not the chunky clunky old technology ones because the end up being the cheapest. Like the dentures, these have proven to not get used much by those that having limited funds tried to use. Much of the cognitive problems are not cognitive problems at all but related to not hearing. Studies have shown that depression is higher in seniors that cannot hear.
First two years of Medicare should include full mouth care. Get everything fixed. Crowns, bridges, limited implants, gum care cleanings, the entire enchilada. After that regular cleanings should be all that is necessary. This is better than letting the mouth decay so that at seventy+ a senior has six completely rotted teeth and in constant pain. Heart disease prevention should include dental care.
DB you must have a lot of experience with these senior issues. As one heading into senior living all I can say is Amen Amen to your proposals. 🙏🏽❤️. Let His will be done.

Medicare is screwed up, and while I’m a MAHA fan, it will be interesting to see just how the problems are addressed. Even if you have an expensive Medi-Gap plan, they still will only pay for “Medicare approved” procedures and those treatments are generally filled with invasive, drug filled, choices. The doctors are paid a pittance.
Healthcare in this country has become terriby perverted. We can only be in charge of our own healthcare by refusing services. You have to pay out of pocket for a holistic doctor or approach.
My tact, even though I carry a lot of insurance, is to treat my diseases with diet, exercise, environment, lifestyle. HOWEVER, I want the choice to use my insurance where and when I DEEM NECESSARY, not some faceless entity choosing for me. “Experts” have lost my trust. There are concerns about Dr. Oz in terms of his friendship with Dr. Peter Hotez (who has a totalitarian mindset in terms of believing everyone of every age should be vaccinated; all vaccines are good; none are bad, there should be serious consequences for people who resist vaccination). Also Dr. Oz himself recommended the COVID “vaccines” strongly.
This should have been disqualifying for any position in health care administration.
