I think I am in love….with this beautiful performance. I thoroughly enjoyed her music. She is soft on the eyes as well.
Do you think the Siccas guys have a slight bias? And does it matter? I don’t spend much attention on issues like equity or gender balance. I’m mostly interested in posting great musical performances. So what if we have a large collection of largely attractive young female performers?
“Doing something” basically means that we inject politics int0 these classical guitar performances—which is something I refuse to do. As far as I’m concerned if someone has great chops, female or male, they deserve to be heard.
I said yesterday that I prefer to not have the distraction of a visual when I am listening to music. I hear better.
But that’s just me.
And now for some midweek exuberance by a composer I know little of but intend to learn. One of those unexpected joys that has come my way.

Holy Moly! We have at least 5 times a normal harvest. We’ve never seen anything like it, and doubt we will again.
So many are on the ground, it breaks my heart, but lots of critters, mostly the birds will benefit.
Our daughter and grandson were here all day yesterday and brought our granddoggy, Calvin. It was a zoo, but fun. Taught the Kiddo (he’s my Aspy grandson) to make ice cream. Then he went on to win 3 games of Clue – he was smiling ear to ear. Good times. 😊

We are so GREEN here (as in the colour, not the ideology) in our part of Texas this season. And like you, I’ve never seen anything like it! Lush and beautiful. Almost feels as if we are back home in Wales…and moderate temps, too. They won’t last of course, so we enjoy this unusual hiatus from our usual baking.
Oh what a wonderful day you had!! And Calvin is such a handsome lad. Family times are the best. The stuff mental cocktails are made from…I am so glad it was a day to remember 😊🌷
We were on our way to see Miss Sarah Grace at the little drinks/ice cream/ coffee shop she works for when we got a text from her asking to come💕 Talk about timing. It was so close to dinner that we ordered a small cook drink which was delicious…but the price!! Eight dollars!!! Thank goodness I’ve mastered the ability to hide my shocked face!! Her workmate is a friend of SG’s brother, and so we tipped generously. But I don’t know how anyone affords to go out anymore.

All those apricots. How many trees produce that much fruit? Not sure how close your neighbors are, but if you have the Nextdoor app maybe you could sell some to your neighbors close by. But if you deliver them to strangers to meet up… maybe meet at the local police station in the parking lot for safety?

Processed those peaches. Purchased 36 lbs and gave away a bunch. Had 55 left over and blanched and peeled them. Sliced them up and processed with Fruit Fresh and sugar to make a syrup. Then small quart sized freezer bags half full to freeze them. Took a bag out yesterday and dropped them into a big glass with ice and club soda for dinner. Delicious! What a treat.

So far we’ve given apricots to neighbors, friends, restaurant servers, the guys who changed our oil, the fella who checked for termites today, the physical therapist, and a few strangers. Kinda fun, really!
A very special friend came today to help pick and took a bunch. His wife is an angel (a real one, I think!) They make jams and jellies and sell along with their organic produce at farmers markets. What a great time we had together. I’m thinking there is a very benevolent reason for this apricot largesse!
And, yes! The pups all got a bit of ice cream!

Paid first installment of Savannah’s tuition to the private online school today. It’s happening! Still need to inform the #$@%@^ public school – and her father. Not that he gives a rip, but it’s an obligation. The Lord Will restore the years the locusts have eaten.
Work is ugly. Still issues with the tax man and somehow my boss seems to think he’ll ignore it and it will go away. Had long talk with his wife today. I cannot be upset about anything – I’ve done my best to mitigate the damages from every angle – now he must give the approval to follow through. He still has a hill to climb negotiating the outrageous $6,000 bill from the misfit accountant. All the days, the interest still accrues. What can one do when someone’s stubbornness is overwhelming?
Listening to Garrison’s Sicca player today is sublime. She’s so very talented. I’m not much on the tattoo. I believe young ladies are so much more beautiful without ink. I spend too much time on risk assessment and thus I think of that ink drifting down the appendage, starting at her arm and ending up at her wrist when she’s aged. Not everyone’s preference – it’s just me, and thankfully Savannah… and she barely got her ears pierced f0r PROM.
Guess who she’s talking to??? That boy that she asked to the Sadie Hawkins dance. He said “yes” – got a nice suit and all ready to go, and two days prior to the dance, the school canceled and the kids couldn’t go. I picked him up and took him and her to the tiger refuge and then out to dinner. That boy. That boy has my whole heart. He and Savannah are the cutest peas and carrots and they play off each other in the most sweetest, innocently affectionate way. I tried to play it cool and left them alone to say their goodbyes – just a very innocent smile and a hug – while I stayed seated in the car, and he… who towers easily a foot taller than me.. comes to my driver’s side window and says “Don’t you want a hug?” Yes, son… I do… let me not leap out of this car too quickly to get it. Actually, I would like your family to become my daughter’s family and I would like you to marry her and have babies and laugh together and rest easily with each other – as you so do now. Ohhh… a mother can dream, can’t she???? Nathan is charming. Shakes your hand. Looks you in the eye. Is protective. Smart as a whip. Is immediately attentive if you ask him to take care of something – in one case finding a lost friend at a gathering where the hostess started to get worried. Loves God boldly and out loud. He comes from a fine and good family with parents who deeply love each other and God. Wants to change the world. He told Savannah when he’s President, he would appoint her to the Supreme Court. She said, “When you’re President, I’ll be your pilot and then we will see each other all the time!” His parents and I looked at one another it utter disbelief of what we were watching transpire. Nathan gave Savannah her first “butterflies”. They are so innocent and so charming. Oh, Lord, pin me to the ground and gag my mouth! They are talking about meeting together at our favorite park to have a walk together. Placing my daughter into a good family, with a good husband… is my only, ONLY, ONLY WISH. I could not and would not ask for not one thing more. Maybe we friends can pay for God’s Divine Hand on this union – for at the very least a good and lifelong friendship to endure and grow?
It is menacing to me… daunting… to see her springing into adulthood. The thought of a good and decent and exceptional career on the horizon… hinging on our ability to survive through homeschooling. Graduation would be traveling to Virginia instead of being at home here in Indiana. That’s okay. I want Savannah to have a good understanding that there is more to this world, then just the Hoosier state. There is so much our beautiful country has to offer – then the world.
I pray fervently for our children and our generations to come. That they will have a good and decent world to explore and enjoy through their healthy and happy lives.

My old office manager texted me out of the blue this morning. We are meeting for dinner to catch up. Should really go on a weekend retreat together – for the ground we have to cover. She knew Savannah as a little bean… with her chubby little toddler arms outstretched and waving, yelling to her “God bless you, Mo-weeeeen” (Maureen) as she toddled off the daycare next door to my office when we first moved her from Seattle when she was 2 years old. Her son was in high school, now he’s 31. How did that happen? Her husband has passed away, and her thick Irish family is being blessed with grandchildren. She looks just the same – not a day of aging. Will be blessed to spend time with her Saturday.

Biography: Previously an actor and the Governor of California from 1967 to 1975, Reagan defeated Jimmy Carter in the 1980 election, having lost the Republican nomination previously in 1976.
In 1981 he survived an assassination attempt. His first term saw the introduction of ‘Reaganomics’, which advocated supply-side policies involving tax rate reduction, deregulation and reduction in public spending. “He hath said…so that we may boldly say…” Heb. xiii. 5-6
My say-so is to be built on God’s say-so. God says – “I will never leave thee,” then I can with good courage say – “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear -” I will not be haunted by apprehension. This does not mean that I will not be tempted to fear, but I will remember God’s say-so. I will be full of courage, like a child “bucking himself up” to reach the standard his father wants. Faith in many a one falters when the apprehensions come, they forget the meaning of God’s say-so, forget to take a deep breath spiritually. The only way to get the dread taken out of us is to listen to God’s say-so.
What are you dreading? You are not a coward about it, you are going to face it, but there is a feeling of dread. When there is nothing and no one to help you, say – “But the Lord is my Helper, this second, in my present outlook.” Are you learning to say things after listening to God, or are you saying things and trying to make God’s word fit in? Get hold of the Father’s say-so, and then say with good courage – “I will not fear.” It does not matter what evil or wrong may be in the way, He has said – “I will never leave thee.”
Frailty is another thing that gets in between God’s say-so and ours. When we realize how feeble we are in facing difficulties, the difficulties become like giants, we become like grasshoppers, and God becomes a nonentity. Remember God’s say-so – “I WILL IN NO WISE FAIL YOU.” Have we learned to sing after hearing God’s key-note? Are we always possessed with the courage to say – “The Lord is my helper,” or are we succumbing?

In Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer, He had asked the Father to keep, sustain, and protect His followers until the time He could claim them as His bride… a time when their joy would match His own.
The day is fast approaching for the highly anticipated gathering of the Bride of Christ, the time when she, the Church, meets her Bridegroom, Christ the Lamb of God, and their covenant commitment one to another is celebrated in a joyful and splendorous wedding reception.
Theologian Charles Spurgeon said, “I cannot conceive of our Lord Jesus Christ as ever being less than infinitely glorious. … The marriage supper is a feast of love; there, love is at home.”
As you attend marriages and receptions, celebrate the unique picture of Jesus’ covenant love for His bride.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

My children, the radical Establishment and their government are not done coming against you or this nation. They will take more bold steps in front of you to take more control and more freedoms from you, more steps toward the total annihilation of this nation as you know it, more steps toward globalism, communism, socialism, that the very demonic and satanic steps, trying to take your hope and faith from you, to distance yourselves from Me, to totally take Me out of this earth, to take it over and control it for themselves. They’ve taken over other nations, kingdoms and empires with these same steps and those nations, empires and kingdoms are no more because these steps and plans cause death and destruction and they never work. The very nations they thought would rule the world became nothing. So just as they move on the next moves against and the ones after that, and after that, now they are using these same tactics on My nation of Israel and My United States. But these are My nations and these same plans will not succeed in their fulfilment of this destruction or the globalist takeover. It will not work My children.
So take this nation back. Take it back with prayer. America, pray again. Stand for your land. I say in My Word if you turn from your wicked ways I will hear your cries and heal your land. You’re about to see My justice and My hand do just that. I just ask you to believe this and stand and fight the good fight of faith that you will win. Don’t stand by and complain about what they have done about your Justice System or to My David. This will not last. Don’t be deceived. Their ruling of their judge of their narrative – this will not stand. This will be overturned to show you that man and their ways are nothing compared to Mine. Don’t complain but SHOUT THEM OUT! No tampering occurred with Hunter Biden’s laptop, witness Erika Jensen, an FBI agent, told Hunter’s gun trial jury on Wednesday.
The testimony debunks longstanding claims by Hunter’s associates that the laptop’s data was subject to “hacking” and “manipulation.”
Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, tried to undermine the credibility of the laptop on cross examination. “Did you find out if any of the files had been tampered with,” he asked Jensen.
“I did not,” she replied.
On Tuesday, Jensen confirmed the authenticity of Hunter’s infamous laptop.
The DOJ confirmed the laptop was Hunter’s by determining that he left it at a computer store and that the contents matched what authorities obtained via a search warrant of Hunter’s iCloud.
