Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen β

Good morning, Mr jay. To my eye that reminds me of a field of rape, from which comes rape seed oil. There is no mistaking that beautiful expanse of golden yellow. Britain produces this, and it is an impressive thing to be driving along and suddenly see the fields of it against the neighbouring various greens of other spring foliage. God’s paintbrush as I tend to imagine. Lovely.
Hey Betsy. I double tapped the picture to make it bigger. Surprise!
It downloaded with a name tag. You are right. It is a rape field.

Looks like Washington State. So beautiful. Good morning, Jay, Garrison, and Betsy – well, all Treepers really! Blessed morning to all of you!
Good morning, dear JWoo. And to you and Savannahπ
My not-so-little girl started her first big girl job last night and she LOVED IT… LOVED IT… LOVED IT. I couldn’t be more proud of her. She helped in the back preparing the food, so I guess those years in the kitchen alongside me have prepared her for her first occupation. Chick-Fil-A – gotta love it!
We are e-learning today – 35 Indiana school corporations received another threat last night. Tired of all the games. Everything liberals touch goes to hell in a handbasket.
Jolly good, dear sis. I am so happy for herπ€ Working for a paycheck is an education in itself. But in the food industry, no matter where? Life lessons at the ground level no public school can give her.
All three of mine started their job journeys there., and now our twin 17 year old grandsons.
And I will say one of those invaluable lessons is the lesson of “others”. Other people they work with, other people who will be their customers, other people who are the bosses.
I expect Savannah will be a real hit with her sweet nature and heart. I have no doubts about itπTake a bow, mom!
What an awful mess, this education worry. Libs are accomplishing exactly what they set out to. Turning everything into foul disarray is all they are capable of. It hardly seems possible that there are no true professionals or even adults to put a stop to all this. I am so sorry.
But tis true… cream rises to the top. I expect your precious daughter will get through this, with your devotion and fierceness fighting her corner, and, with God’s help, will reach heights impossible to see right now. I think such heights are just waiting for her to arrive.
Keep up with the grueling groundwork…she’s on her wayπππ»π
Thank you, dear Betsy. Working up the fortitude and the energy to pull her from that school. Killing me. I hate giving up ground, but these satanic dens needs to be shuddered.
She’s good. She’s happy. She’s ELATED. I’m delighted.
Screw whatever these globalists try to do extinguish her Spirit. Never gonna happen! And you’re right, Bets, she is terrific at manners and hospitality.
If God brings you to it, He gets you through it.
(((((( β£οΈ ))))))
I’m a little late seeing this, sorry. That said I couldn’t be more proud of your daughter and her first real job. As you know I’m real big on personal empowerment and strong self confidence.
And—equally important—I couldn’t be more proud of you, for showing her how to find that inner strength to be successful.
When I was teaching I saw how hard it was when otherwise capable kids would self-sabotage because they couldn’t give themselves permission to be successful.
Amen, loving sis. And while you’re waiting for Him to open a window, stand in the hallway.ππ»π
Howdy weβve had some very beautiful days here in the Nw last couple of days for sure πΊπΈππΊπΈ
jay 1776 – where are you? what state? NW is some pretty country – getting ruined by some pretty extreme communists. I miss certain things about WA state – but the pros outweigh the cons in living here.
I mentioned it before – but I have a big laminated map of the United States on my office wall. When I learn where people are – I make them a little post-it note flag and place their name on the flag. Helpful reminder on how to pray for folks.
It’s my little “underground railroad” map. I don’t have people’s addresses – or even cities, for that matter… so nothing stalker-like. Just like to have a visual image of all the “watchmen” out there.
Hope to God we never need and underground railroad – but time will tell.
Very nice selections for this Friday.. thanks

Thanks for this one, Garrison. i really like rooty-tooty classical period and earlier. But this carries a relaxed, dreamy mood so well. A favorite since I first heard it a few years ago. Paintings match perfectly.
Good morning, 1530.
Hi Joe.

Good morning, Garrison.
Mornin’ Joe. I trust things are going well at your wife’s nursing home?
So far, so good. Thanx for asking. She seems to be doing ok; I keep the flip phone with me when I’m not there. Just in case…
Btw, I’ve never invested in an I-phone or smartphone; not sure what the difference is between the two. I’m somewhat electronically challenged.
Sticking with the old flip phone. It works for me; I’m keeping it simple.
Do keep it, Joe. Keep yourself away from government radar. ππ»

Thanks again Garrison! Gymnopodie #1 is one of my all time favorites!
A beautiful Orchestrated version of Gymnpodies #3 and #1; Vaughan Williams Five Variants of Dives and Lazarus, and Prokofiev’s The Prince and the Princess, from Love for three Oranges suite. Hope you like.
Erik Satie – GymnopΓ©dies No. 1 and 3 | Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen
S.Prokofiev. Suite from The Love for Three Oranges. 05. The Prince and the Princess
Vaughan Williams: Five Variants of ‘Dives & Lazarus’.
Luke 16:19-31 “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
To me, it is significant that the rich man, in death and torment, still wanted Lazarus to be his servant and water bearer./ His attitude toward others had not changed, despite his torment.
Good point. It strikes me how the rich man knows exactly who Lazarus is; and yeah, does he really believe he is owed any brotherly kindness from a man he utterly neglected, and didn’t care a thing for? And he even knew his name!
“His attitude toward others had not changed, despite his torment.” So true! He sure would give anything to get out of there; but not a thought about, What have I done? That’s the difference isn’t it? One kind first goes to his conscience, and the other has no conscience at all!
π
Good morning, Garrison. A gentle way to start another day. π
I’ve had a busy week so a little quiet-time is most welcome. Be well, love. π
I definitely know that feeling!π
Good morning Bet! Getting ready to head for San Antonio in a bit for the stress test. The bummer is that will have to miss Nipper on his 8 birthday. The after the test instructions say to stay away from children for the next 48 hours due to the mild radioactive stuff Iβll be injected with.
Praying for your hubby and you and hoping that he feels better and stronger every day. β€οΈπ
Oh no!!! What timing. I’m thinking he will understand, though what you’ve told him is probably minimal but reassuring, as his imagination would simply make up its own stories. God be with you, dearest brother. You have my prayers in full force. One step closer to getting this fixed, which it will be. Of this I am confidentππ»π
Done with the test, breezed through it.Now hoping that the cardiologist. has time to review it before he calls me Monday late morning.
Now chillaxing in San Antonio, listening to President Trump. Going to stay the night because I have a team meeting here for the retreat next month.
Had a talk last night with the friend that works in the medical field here. Most of the bypasses here are done the old way. Haven’t started looking though until I talk again to the cardiologist. π
Bet, just got a call from the cardiologist. He wanted to give me a preliminary result so I wasn’t too anxious over the weekend. He said he liked what he saw and we’ll discuss more details on Monday. Said medical treatment is definitely a possibility. That gives me time to look for the right surgeon.
Praise the Lord!
π
Oh praise Almighty God!!!!
Oh this is wonderful, dearest brother. No emergency. Gives you time to not rush into choosing someone. I suspect you are breathing a bit easier. I am so glad. You can tell I am overjoyed because I can manage only short choppy sentences. Prayer is the most powerful medicine there is. So grateful!πππ!!
Amen, dear sis! Lotβs of prayer going on and I feel it. God told me, not in an audible voice, but I just knew the test was going to turn out just fine. Everything went so smooth, at the end I asked the nurse if she wanted me to get back on the treadmill. She just laughed.
We have an awesome God! πππβ€οΈ

I feel so cheated by that Cover of Cinnamon Girl.
The band is playing their hearts out and the crowd is following along, it looks like thrash metal at its best, but the music is all muted and subdued. Almost like they just dubbed in a different vocal track
Agree the sound doesn’t replicate the live performance. But unless they had a recording engineer at that performance who was laying down separate tracks for each of the individual instruments and mics at the live performance, and then later back in the studio mixing it into a sellable recording, that’s probably what they did – overdubbed the video with a studio recorded version.
Plus, it’s extremely difficult to capture the dynamic range of a live concert without some pretty expensive and sophisticated equipment.
There are only two really famous bands that sounded the same live as they did on vinyl that I saw live. The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.
Up until a few years ago I had never been to a live rock concert. I only had noticed that the audio from YouTube videos of live concerts were **never** as good as their regular studio-recorded albums I had heard on my own equipment or albums / singles that are on YouTube.
Rush @ <Deer Creek> (not @ <MSA>), the Metallica/Guns n Roses @ the <Hoosier Dome> and out of all people that did a free concert @ the <Pepsi Coliseum> in Indy after a hockey game, the Fabulous Thunderbirds had one heck of a sound engineer that made me forget how p*ss poor the acoustics are in the Pepsi Coliseum.
Glad I was not old enough to see the Beatles there, i’m pretty sure back then their sound sucked, nor did they ever return to Indiana again.
Yes, poor audio and out of sync is a pet peeve of mine, esp since it is so easy for me to see when I am very used to being the “audio engineer” part of karaoke.
I must say it is easier now to have synced audio for a live performance than it used to be, mine is 100% digital using all Bose equipment.
All video is recorded separately, usually lip synced while recording. It is then muxed into the audio, problem being that it may come from more than once source, while all my sources are going into one 4 channel Bose mixer. (I want an 8 channel one tho as I run 6 mics thru only 3 channels, 2 customer mics and my 2 mics and a 3rd customer that brings her own mic when she sings.
Sorry for my choice tho, did not have much material to choose from nor is it a style of music that I care for, went with a cover people would know.
It is studio audio paired with live video that is slo-mo in some areas, not a flattering official music video that I would have ever approved for release, IMHO anyway.
Specially liked the George Jackson OTR&R. Good music for work around the house. Thanks.

Oh yes they will. In raw form even.
Good morning Bet. Looks like the cats have made themselves at home; they should be comfortable on top of all that wool.
Smokey still comes up to me and rubs his furry face in mine while I’m trying to sleep. Purrs and kneads on me. No problem with the 3 dogs who are camped out in their respective places on the bed.
Gang of 4.

Everybody is happy in that photo. Am loving the expression on the wool rug’s face. Pure blissπ
I’ve got a very nice mental picture of your sleeping arrangements. Somehow I see you in the little corner of what’s left, trying to get comfortable without disturbing the others.
When The Mags, our daughter’s beloved half poodle half something else, stays with us, I have to lift her into bed at night…then I turn out the lights and try to get in myself.
She allows me a small place, and thankfully I am still flexible enough to adjust into it. We have no animals at present, but in our time we’ve been owned by so many all at once. I must say I am living vicariously through you, my friend…remember what it was like to have the rumbling purring close to our heads. There is no sound like it. I miss it very much.

JESUS LOVES ME, THIS I KNOW
For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning, knowing that such a one is perverted and sins, being self-condemned.
— Titus 3: 2-11
That was lovely. Thank you “1530” π
Very important verses from Titus! Do you keep notebooks for your Bible Studies? I would be very interested to read, if you would like to share.
Many years ago, when I was still in my twenties; I was part of a small House Church. There was the Pastor/Teacher and his family, and about six to eight of us young men, who rented a house next door. We would have Prayer Meetings on Wednesday nights, and the weekends; and then privately every night after dinner we would sing some worship songs and read a portion of the Scriptures together. We had Communion every night; and all the Brothers would rotate giving the lesson at the Saturday night Meeting. It was really a great learning experience, having to find something for a lesson, and preparing it.
Anyway, the reason I bring it up, is that when the “Main Meal” was done, (the Sermon), we all would have briefly shared a point or two that really stood out to us. The benefit of course, was that everyone participated, and as we all shared, the more and the deeper did the word go in. The reason as we all know, is that we could all learn and fellowship and fill up spiritually so we would be stronger for when we have to go out in the world to work or whatever. Everything that helps to always keep in mind Jesus and the word of God, I believe is how we walk in the Spirit. If we’re thinking about the things we’ve learned, and praying, and keeping awake spiritually; we will be able to stand victorious when temptations or troubles come; which they always do!
Psalm 119:9-11 “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy word. With my whole heart have I sought Thee: O let me not wander from Thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.”
The Lord bless you.

BE MY VOICE
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to βfaith my fearsβ by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that Iβm in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

FOR GPM
HELP ME, LORD
Hear my prayer, O Lord β please hear my cry;
Hide not Thy face from me β stand closely by;
Incline Thine ear to me β answer my call;
For I am helpless in my wherewithal!
My days are consumed β in pain, I move not;
My heart beats in vain β overwhelmed, besought;
I struggle to breathe β I implore Your aid;
Begging for mercy β and yet, unafraid!
Strengthen me, Lord β as only You know how;
Send forth Thy Comforter to help me now;
Send forth the angels to hold me upright;
Help me, Lord β Help me to live, love, and fight!
The enemy plagues me both day and night;
His devils work to discourage me right;
He taunts me, haunts me, and laughs at my pain;
My prayers he sees worthless β and all in vain!
Be it Your will β with Your power and might;
Remove this affliction β far out of sight;
Defeat the devil β his power disband;
Help me, Lord β with Your Healing Hand!
You called me, Lord β in Your Service to be;
Your minister, Lord β bring people to Thee;
How can I manage β for people to care?
With this heart sorely in need of repair?
I ask not for me this healing take place;
I ask not this suffering You erase;
I ask only to stand for You, O Lord;
To bring others to You in one accord!
If in this state, You still want me to serve;
If it be Your will, my heart you preserve;
Whatever you decide β I will endure;
With You by my side β of that I am sure!
Help me, Lord to accept what You decide;
In You and with You β I long to abide;
Through You and for You β my heart is alive;
Heal me, Lord β Help me β to live, love, and thrive!

INSPIRED INVINCIBILITY
“Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me.” Matthew xi. 29
“Whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth.” How petty our complaining is! Our Lord begins to bring us into the place where we can have communion with Him, and we groan and say – “O Lord, let me be like other people!” Jesus is asking us to take one end of the yoke – “My yoke is easy, get alongside Me and we will pull together.” Are you identified with the Lord Jesus like that? If so, you will thank God for the pressure of His hand.
“To them that have no might He increaseth strength.” God comes and takes us out of our sentimentality, and our complaining turns into a paean of praise. The only way to know the strength of God is to take the yoke of Jesus upon us and learn of Him.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Where do the saints get their joy from? If we did not know some saints, we would say – “Oh, he, or she, has nothing to bear.” Lift the veil. The fact that the peace and the light and the joy of God are there is proof that the burden is there too. The burden God places squeezes the grapes and out comes the wine; most of us see the wine only. No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God in a human spirit, it is an inner unconquerableness.
If you have the whine in you, kick it out ruthlessly. It is a positive crime to be weak in God’s strength.

April 14th Devotional
Personally, I prefer the original. All too often “updated language” corrupts the original meaning. Similar to “case law”. Our founders wanted our laws, as written, to be our guide, not cases that may or may have not had accurate rulings. Over time, it is far from the original context and intent.
Originallists everywhere agree βοΈ
There is none better than the KJV. Updated language does corrupt whatever it touches.
AGREE!!! Just ordered

Good Morning all!
Well, it seems that Anheuser-Bush has lost about 6 Billion dollars in market value.
‘No one at a senior level’ was aware Bud Light was partnering with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney | Daily Mail Online
If you believe that “No one at a senior level” was aware of what they were doing, then I have the title to e big bridge in Brooklyn that I will sell you cheap! So for now it seems some unnamed underling is going to take the fall. But I bet that wacko VP of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, will see the chopping block soon enough.
Seems to me that the backlash for shoving this wokeness down peoples throats is effecting the sales of the whole line of products and not just Bud Lite which was their #1 brand.
That’s what they said about Disney’s Victoria Alonso before she was thrown out on her ear. In the end, stock holders rule.
“6 Billion dollars in market value.” Sounds like a serious blow, but I’ll wait to see what the quarterly financials show before cheering. We are too quick to claim victory and crown heroes. It’s no time for either. Keep the heat on any merchant selling AB. Find new watering holes. It can prove to be effective and a warning to other companies.
The backlash is wide spread.
Budweiser Clydesdale Events Canceled as Bud Light Boycott Grows (msn.com)
And Cinco de Mayo is coming up and they’re going to get their Butt hurt for that too I bet.
And their executives said they had no idea this was happening. Sounds as if the whole lot need removing.
Does anyone really believe that threats to Employees is the real reason for the cancellations? I mean St. Louis is Anheuser-Bush’s backyard!
Nah. I don’t anyways. They knew. Top execs at AB are scrambling and probably trying to figure out how to walk this back.
When you lose 6B, it must be hard to support the extra-curricular activities. I’m sticking to Guinness.
It is just stunning to me that after all this time, and all those great commercials they did over all those years, they didn’t know how their traditional customer base would react! They pissed off about 80%+ of their traditional customer base to cater to what could be at max .4% of their customer base.
These guys were hilarious.
I’m with you, p. Guinness is one of my favorite brews. There is a biker’s bar in San Antonio, Hills & Dales. That was the only place that had Guinness on tap without diluting it. Creamy and delicious.
I buy the cans of Guiness Stout that have the CO2 cylinder that releases into the beer when you open it. Have two cans in the fridge right now. That’s the relaxing time brew. I prefer something with a bit more bite for my lawnmowing beer. If I could find it, Stroh’s would be that beer so I settle for one of several different ones depending for my lawnmowing beer.
I like Foster Lagar but it gives me a rip roaring headache.
.
I don’t believe that about the Employees but I would be very concerned about the horses. There are so many crazy people out there that I would make sure that they are well guarded.
I will stick to a glass of Miller Lite with a couple ice cubes in it. I gave up Coke several years ago when that company went woke. I had been a Coke drinker for many, many years.
Coke kicked to the curb. Wal-Mart brand ginger ale. Refreshing. Love it!
Probably gifted a golden parachute.
Like the lady in charge of risk management at that bank. The fed points out your problems, so the management show the door to the scapegoat, but don’t hire a replacement and don’t order the problems to be fixed. Then those problems sink the bank and she has that golden parachute.
Nope. And in fact She’s suing Disney.
Disney Faces Serious Consequences Over Firing Marvel Executive (giantfreakinrobot.com)
thanks for clearing that up. I had meant it as a prediction for the trans beer idiot.
It would be great to see her thrown out on her ear. Even better to see it come to an ugly law suit like the one you mention.
But golden parachutes get rid of problems and can be arranged to make the problem go away quietly. So it is up to the beer idiots that hired her. Fire her or retire her?
β4/β14/β2023 – By faith we sojourn in the land of promise, as in a strange country
Hebrews 11:9-10 “By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: for he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
I have to think that every Believer loves these parts in the Bible. Immediately we can identify with our father Abraham, with respect to our specially called out of the world Christian walk of faith. Whatsoever God said about Abraham, and truly all His servants the prophets and apostles; we can take as true about ourselves also in the Spirit in Christ. We have been called out from our native country and our father’s house; to come into a place that God will show us. We too are sojourning as foreigners in someone else’s country; with a promise from God, that he will give all of it to us for an inheritance forever.
While Abraham and Sarah dwelt in tents, and stayed wherever they could; they were guests in a country that belonged to others; and so they were good and honorable, and always respectful of their hosts. They kept to themselves, and minded their own business. They had friends, but they were not entangled in the affairs of the people of those days. Abraham earned his reputation of being righteous and the friend of God, by his character, by his manner of life, over about one hundred years time.
I think about these things, and picture myself like Abraham, now in this time as a Christian. Do I have a sound understanding of my status in this country, that for now belongs to others? Am I walking with God, so much that it is said of others, that I am a friend of God? Am I showing the due honor and respect for the people whose country this is? Do I understand, that the promise of God to give me all the places where the sole of my foot treads upon, is for the world to come?
The apostle goes on to write about all those from the earliest times; that they all died in faith, not having received the promise; but having seen it afar off by faith, they embraced the word, and confessed, that they were strangers and pilgrims in this present world; and that they look for another country, wherein dwells righteousness. I believe that, unless the Lord comes, this will be true for all of us; we will die in faith, not having received the promise. The difference however between us and them, of course, is that we have received the earnest of the promise, in that Christ has come in the flesh, and has died on the cross for our sins, and risen again. But our salvation will not be perfectly complete until Christ returns, and He commands the first resurrection; and we all are changed into our glorified perfect bodies and spirits, in which we will live forever, made “Fit For The PRESENCE OF GOD!”
Matthew 6:19-25 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”

Betsy, that reminds me of a co-worker who went barefoot into the kitchen for a cup of morning coffee. He felt something cold on his foot. His duck, Quack, was in the kitchen. He stuck his duck foot on top of Mikeβs foot as he looked up waiting expectantly for his cup of coffee. Quack was a brilliant fellow. He could say his name! π¦ π

My neighbor across the road has three rosters and none have ever come over to pour a cup for me. But they and the flock of chickens do provide great entertainment while we drink our coffee in the morning. Their funny to watch.
How disappointingπ
I understand the entertainment very well. Fondest in my memory vault are the afternoons we used to sit in front of my sister in law’s 14th century farmhouse with her water supply, a fast flowing stream, nearby with a bridge crossing it to her expansive chicken coop…drinking mugs of tea in mismatched pottery, fresh bread and cheese, and a sweet of some kind, chewing over all that was going on in the world.
And amongst us roamed her beautiful chickens of all types. Bucolic and peaceful.
I remember distinctly saying to myself, “It doesn’t get any better than this.” Friends, family, the isolated countryside, food and drink and conversation, putting the world to rights, nowhere pressing to go…and here comes that beautiful word which says it all…
Halcyon days…π
*Big Sigh*

We’ve had some darn nice weather up here in the Midwest and lakes area this week and everything is budding, but the flip is coming. In 4 to 5 days we’re going to get considerably colder than usual and that cold will settle in for awhile. Snow in parts of Missouri and about all of Wisconsin down to the Illinois state line. That will move east.
The cold will settle in for awhile so it looks like we may be using the fireplace insert one more time.
Didn’t get my yard mowed last night but it will happen today for sure. Gotta get it done before the rain comes in tomorrow.

Morning, Rob. Thanks for the update. Hope that pesky sciatica of yours has calmed down.
Went out and talked to Steve and then burned off my fire ring this morning that is 6′ in diameter and was stacked 5′ high with mostly sticks we picked up out of the yard, and I feel it already. But I refuse to let it stop me from getting done what I have planned for today.
Thanx for the weather updates, rah.
I’m constantly looking at a couple of sites for updates on earthquakes. Looks like Tuban, Indonesia got hit with a 7 magnitude quake recently. Not an unusual occurance in that region. The Ring of Fire is always active. The 6 mag quake that was reported near Port McNeill, Canada is a relatively rare event. I have a window open in another quake watch site (Force 13) for quicker updates.

Ty Ma’am. I understand your family is on the mend, fantastic news that. Hand pulling weeds from my growspaces is about as therapeutic as anything I have ever tried. Occasionally a few stings in the webbing between the fingers from fire ants bring you back down out of nirvana. I wish Ft. Lauderdale could have shared some of the 25 inches of rainfall they had on Wednesday with the rest of the State. I am fermenting some seeds pulled out of some heirloom Cherokee Purple tomatoes from Mexico that I will dry and sprout in doors in a few days. I have had problems getting my catalogued seed tomatoes to come up, so I went straight to the source. These plants do very well in the heat and humidity but I need to grow several of them to get a decent amount of fruit. I always have problems with hybridized “disease resistant” tomato varieties. I don’t even really eat them anymore on account of inflammation. I like to trade them out for other things I don’t grow yet.
My gosh, you are busy. And yes, those fire ants can jolt you. As God never makes mistakes and has a purpose for every creature, I’ve always wondered what it was for fire ants. I am sorry you didn’t benefit from any rain. Surely where you are some will be along shortly, unlike here where it seems none is coming…as usual.
Look forward to hearing how your crops are getting along as the season progresses. There is no taste like that of homegrown tomatoes. Better still with a little homemade mayonnaise. I’d think you’ll have no problems at all trading them.
And thank you for your kind wishes, my friend. We are on that slow road to a return to better health. Unexpected but a blessing as an assuredly fatal issue was caught in time. Blessings always, dear sir.π
Looking forward to seeing more of you…π€
At Camp Swift near Bastrop, Texas, where we would take our SF medic trainees for their final Trauma Clinic testing they were really bad. So bad that we slept in Jungle hammocks and sprayed the trunks of the trees we hung the hammocks from.
Then a trainee went into anaphylactic shock from multiple bites. After that we got the entomology department at Ft. Sam to fly out with some of their trainees in a Huey and they sprayed the whole area we trained and bivouacked in. That solved our problem.
Every year I had to battle those suckers to get them out of my lawn at the house that was our family quarters on Chaffe St. at Fort Sam Houston.
We took great care of that place because we wanted Yard of the Month for the post. We got yard of the Month several times and Yard of the quarter once.
I didn’t do the work so much for the gift certificate, but because I really liked the place and liked having it look nice. And because every time I got yard of the month or quarter I got an excellent on my NCO evaluation report for taking care of government property. An excellent was damned hard to get and my getting one on every NCOER drove my SF peers at the school hours green with envy. That was almost as good as the positive effect those excellents had on my potential for promotion.
Awesome story, Rob. My dad was head of the Burns Unit at Fort Sam after he returned from the Korean War. We lived on base, though I was only 4 so don’t remember much. Though I do remember going downtown with my mother to Joske’s department store, which was always a treat because they had a small train which took people from the parking lot all around. At 4 years old, you can only imagine what a treat that was for me.
And yes, a daunting task getting rid. Millions and millions of the suckers. Good for you on yard of the month multiple times.
My mother always advised to leave a place better than one found it. Sounds as if you did that. And I bet whoever followed you in your residence appreciated it very much indeed.
Those were the best quarters I ever had in the Army. Stucco with tile roof. Hardwood floors except in the kitchen and bathrooms where it was tile. Two full baths, three bedrooms. Nice little front porch. single car garage down underneath along with a utility room down there. St. Augustine grass lawn. A Magnolia tree in the front yard and an oak tree in the back yard that was probably a sapling when the Alamo went down. Situated on the military crest of a ridgeline, with an open field behind. On the other side of the field was the outside swimming pool for the post. I could see all the way to I-10. I saw more rainbows there than I ever saw anywhere else.
There were a couple of rose bushes up next to the house on one side and we put in some Hibiscus.
Only at Fling Kasserne in Bad Tolz Germany did we have a better view because we were down in the Bavarian Alps. Those quarters were also nice, but we were on the third floor.
We were there in the early 50s. Wow!! POSH!!
Those stucco houses were built during the depression. I was a Sr. E-7 (Sgt. First Class) by then.
BTW for those that don’t know. Ft. Sam Houston is the location of the US Army Health Services Command and Brooke Army Medical Center there is the flag ship hospital for all of the US military. The burn ward there is world famous and severe burn cases from all of the Military branches are sent there.
I toured the burn center at Brooke before they built that huge new Medical center and I will tell you that going into a burn ward is not for the faint of heart or those with a weak stomach. The smell alone will turn many away. And if the torture you have witnessed on some horror shows makes you cringe or close your eyes, then don’t even think about going in. That is how bad it is!
Burns are one of the most common life threatening injuries in warfare and in training for war. And in the opinion of this former SF medic the most hideous. Death comes slowly for many severe burn patients after days of suffering. And those that survive will endure unimaginable pain as their wounds are debrided.
And the long term effects are now picnic either.
π
Yes ma’am. I am working on getting the THC out of my system(should be 90 days or so) so I can actually find some meaningful employment before it all goes sideways. The Creator has shown me I no longer need cannabis for my back pain, that as long as I eat a diet rich in pineapple, fresh ginger, garlic and a tumeric heavy chai tea and low in refined sugar, dairy fats and nightshade plants(tomatoes. potatoes and peppers which are all of my old favorites) I will thrive. I am grateful to have had access to it(cannabis) to help me sever the ties with the opioid medications, but there is no way I will play into the hands of the globalists by having a substance in my system whose Federally Illegal status makes me a second class citizen fit to be denied for the Welfare rolls, unable to legally work and unable to handle or possess my legally owned firearms. I could have bypassed all that nonsense by a serious change in diet. Only when I ventured into the Treehouse did I begin question my use of the plant, and for that I am grateful.
I am moved beyond any words. I can’t tell you how much. Back problems and the pain that goes with them are horrid. My dad had them and my Navy vet son just had surgery for them. So far so good. But I understand completely how the pain can be so bad that one would take anything or do anything to get relief. I am so so sorry.
I can only celebrate that dietary changes seem to be helping you, all of course frowned upon by the fascistic Medical and Pharma Industrial Complex instigated decades ago by John D Rockefeller, an odious hateful man, who knew that to get rich (er) he heeded to neuter the natural healing herbs etc which had been so efficacious. There are many since just like him who have caused so much human pain and misery. Surely somewhere a price will be paid for what they wrought then and continue to wrought.
And yes, oh yes!! The Tree house is full of people who pass on what has worked, no more so than when the bioweapon disease and the DoD developed bioweapon vaxxxxxine. I have gleaned so much from the wisdom of others. What a magnificent blessing and gift this site is in so many ways.
And so, dear SVFL, I am planting you firmly on my prayer list, praying for your difficult but necessary journey to get yourself to the point where you are as pain free as you can be…hopefully completely…and employed and armed.
May the good and loving Lord walk with you every single day as you move closer to getting where you want to be. I’ll stand with you every minute. I’m so glad you’re here.π I am “Bet” to my friends btw.π

receive our prayer;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father,
have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.

Hi Bett
I spayed Colkitto on another thread.
Heβs a nice guy.
Iβm glad he stops in from time to time.
And thatβs another nice thing about this tree .
People pop in and say hi .
Itβs nice seeing people come and people go.
βοΈπβοΈ
I love Colkitto. I miss him here. And as I seem to be ensconced on this thread lately with only minimal forays onto other threads, I haven’t run a cross him as much. Swings and roundabouts as you so rightly say, my friend. And yes, it is just us moving from one room of the ‘House to another, as the mood takes us. π
Amen
Psalm 118:1-2, 4, 22-27
The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
Let the house of Israel say,
βHis mercy endures forever.β
Let those who fear the Lord say,
βHis mercy endures forever.β
Alleluia
The stone which the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
By the Lord has this been done;
it is wonderful in our eyes.
This is the day the Lord has made;
let us be glad and rejoice in it.
Alleluia
O Lord, grant salvation!
O Lord, grant prosperity!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord;
we bless you from the house of the Lord.
The Lord is God, and he has given us light.
Alleluia
The Stone which supports us all, without which there is nothing. ππ»

Looks like the social media app Parler has been shut down again; this time for good.

Iβm trying to remember
I think that app was started by good people
Itβs hard to keep somethin big like that going
Iβm not familiar with those things but I know you are.
Your knowledge base and level of intel is one of the special things we have here in the tree

Hope you have a good day friend
It is always good to see you here.
Iβm glad I found this place
Itβs a nice place
Thanks
Parler, a social media website and app, available on both Apple and Android mobile platforms, was started in 2018 by a man named John Matze but did not become really popular until Twitter started large scale banning of conservative accounts especially conservative influencers in 2020.
Dan Bongino invested in the company and in 2020 and early 2021 heavily promoted it on his daily podcasts. By January 2021, Parler had about 15M users. This attracted the negative attention of the criminals in the government I.C., who realized it threatened the content control they had established via Twitter and Facebook.
After the January 6th event, wherein many protest attendees used Parler to communicate the events during that day, government colluded with Big Tech against Parler. Government got both Google and Apple to remove the app from their respective App Stores, essentially stopping its use and distribution to new users. Then the government criminals successfully deplatformed the app entirely from the internet by having Parler’s webserver host – Amazon Web Services – completely and without warning disabled the software from their servers. That totally and catastrophically shut down the app.
It took Parler’s I.T. team about a month to get it back up and operating (February 2021) on a new platform on which it continued until this morning. It was sold to another company Starboard (host of American Wire; BizPac Review) who has stated they intend to re-vamp it and re-launch it at an unspecified later date.
Of course, after Parler’s very publicly debated 2021 deplatforming, GETTR was launched, and the Truth Social app construction began. Parler’s users were gun shy to return after it was stood back up in Feb. 2021, and they scattered to Gab, CloutHub, MeWe, Telegram Signal and a few other platforms. That effectively diluted users’ reach, unless they created accounts on multiple apps which is a major pain to maintain. Telegram became the most popular app and gained the most conservative influencer voices until GETTR launched. But Truth Social was launched with more publicity (Trump) and gained a lot of big voices quickly.
Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter and re-admittance of formerly banned conservative influencers has injected new life into that app, while GETTR and Truth Social have both become strong platforms in their own right.
More than a nice place (which it most definitely is)…home.
Good almost afternoon, my friend. The ultimate desired and aimed for destination for all sites which do not spew the approved totalitarian line.
I have a terrible feeling Parler is only the first of more to come.
Un exemple pour les autres
…with this site among “les autres”.
Hi Betsy. Hope you are doing well and that your hubby and grandson are both mending from their recent health issues.
Yes it’s pretty apparent that the criminal government & aligned Corporate powers under Ozero-Biden will do their utmost to damage and undermine all modes of communication and truthful information dissemination wherein the fascist totalitarians’ preferred narratives aren’t pushed or supported.
I think that basically Parler suffered from poor management. It was notable that Bongino rightfully distanced himself from that company after its troubles began and subsequently exposed management infighting and disparate operating philosophies.
Cheers friend!
Howdy Col!
Oooo….mentioned you above (were your ears burning??)and what do you know!?!!! Voila! So good to see you much missed friendπ€π€
Unfortunate. But my view is that any excuse will do for malevolent despots. Get the weakest of the pack to get to the others. As long as Parler was labelled “conservative”…well, that’s enough.
And thank you, GB. Grandson back in school. With my husband, to quote from Robert Frost, we have miles to go before we sleep, so to speak. Progress being made…π€

Friday of Great Week
From the Synaxaria of the Triodion by Nikephoros Kallistos Xanthopoulos:
“On Holy and Great Friday, we celebrate the Holy, saving, and dread Suffering of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ: the spittings, the slaps, the blows, the insults, the mockery, the purple robe, the reed, the sponge, the vinegar, the nails, and the lance; and above all, the Cross and the death which He voluntarily accepted for our sake; in addition, we commemorate the saving confession on the Cross, of the good Thief who was crucified with Him.”
Saint Mary of Egypt went into the desert by the River Jordan after many years of sinful living. She spent 47 years repenting in the desert against the passions and the assaults of the Evil One. She reposed after communing of the Gifts of the Precious Body and Blood of the Savior brought to her by Saint Zosima the Presbyter.
She is commemorated today, April 1st on the Patristic Calendar of the Orthodox Christian Church.
Hello American friends, I am David a Trump supporter. Below is a video that if you didnβt know who the participants are, it wouldnβt mean much. But the guy on the left is the Chief of Police of Israel. He was a paratrooper and was injured a few times in combat with terrorists. He is a very decorated hero. The other guy is the Chief of the Border police who is under the Chief of Police and they have some of the best Counter Terror Units in the world. This year alone they prevented over 300 serious terror attacks and killed about 80 terrorists and arrested hundreds. As a side note the Chief of police is almost 60 years old.
Good afternoon (us)/evening (you), David. So lovely to see you again.
Thank you for the video which I will watch.
I have been following as closely as I can what is going on in your bless-ed Israel. I get the feeling nefarious forces from this side are still working against her, no matter the honeyed words which are offered for public consumption. My heart and hopes are with you all. And as we know Almighty God stands beside you, which is everything.
All blessings be with the people of Israel. Be well, friend of the Tree. We keep your branch for you alone and in good order.ππ»
That was very kind of you. Yes, things in Israel are out of control. There is a straggle about judicial reform and I would wait and see where it goes before I explain extensively. . In short, in Israel the Progressives (like in the US) are holding the Supreme Court and they created a system that they appoint themselves. Over the decades they took the liberty to infringe upon matters of political and national security and to a degree Israel is under a control of Elite Judicial dictatorship. On the other hand too much influence of the government over the judicial is also a form of dictatorship whereby a majority in the parliament would be able to nullify a Supreme Court judgment. So a half the nation is freaking out that individual and minority freedom will be infringed if a reform will pass. Thatβs the short version. They are negotiating a compromise now but the opposing sides are very opposing. So we shell see.
Yes, that is how I understood it. Word is that there are those here who are doing what they do best…colour revolutionizing. They are hard at work in other countries, Hungary being one.
For me we are two countries…the people who work to keep us going and are patriotic constitutionalists. And then the United States…an unelected cabal who run the Military Industrial Complex. And there I will leave it.
Know we keep you all in our prayers, David. I am so glad to have seen you here once more. Blessings always, dear sir.
@Bet
I hope your doing well. I found these Scotland cookies at my grocery store and wanted to let you know about them. They are “Raspberry & White Chocolate Shortbread” cookies by Duncan’s of Deeside. The grandmother started the company, and now the grandson Paul is the head baker. The grandmother was Elizabeth (Betty).
I got lucky when I checked the “International” section at the store and found them. They are delicious.
Regards
Oh my, they look divine! I’ll do a search for them.at World Market and the British Emporium. I am familiar with Duncan’s of Deeside, but I’d not seen this particular biscuit. Needs a cup of tea to go with methinks. Lovely. Bless, my dear friendπ
(Found some good crumpets to toast and eat with butter and jam or honey. Filling and delish!)
Found this, Colkitto…thought you’d likeπ
Poor guy, the newspaper screwed him. I also find it highly interesting that you posted a Donegal County story with a reference to Tir Conaill. If you can get them, you will love those cookies. Regards
If I can’t, it won’t be for lack of trying, rest assured. Blessings, my friend.ππ»

Day 08 April 14 2023 – Today bring to Me the souls who are detained in purgatory
My Prayer Response with St. Faustina:
Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most
Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make
retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the
flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be praised (Diary, 1227).

Well, my day is done. Had an 8:15 appointment at the Urologist to get my blood drawn for a PSA to monitor my prostate cancer. Burned off the fire pit. Mowed my acre. The ottoman that Sherry ordered online arrived and I lugged that box in the house. Got the lawn furniture on the deck uncovered and set up. I filled the 8 lb. feeder and put a new seed block in the cage that was empty so the birds are good to go.
Grilled porkchops for dinner, and drank a Jack & cola while doing so. Then sat out on the deck and enjoyed the nice weather with Sherry and watched some thunderheads building as I finished my 2nd drink after eating.
Supposed to rain tomorrow, so I will unpack that Ottoman and put the legs on it and get it set up. It’s 36″ x 30″ and has a top that comes up to serve as a small table. And I have to take down the old ceiling fan in the Living room and install the new one we bought which has a better lighting fixture. We also have to go to Petsmart to get the stuff for Buckley so we’re ready for him when we pick him up Monday. Sherry is excited.
Sure is nice to not worry about a phone call. Allows me to plan to get things done much more efficiently.
glad your day was a good one. never a dull moment
