Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

I really like this one! The points Spurgeon brings out about trust in Jesus for the spiritual things, should be enough for trusting Him for the natural things. I guess that the thing really comes down to, Is our faith REALLY faith, or pretending? Perhaps its easier to “trust” Him for the unseen, which for now is not tangible; but the fear of going without the needs of the body, somehow scare us? Good point on which to examine ourselves!
Thank you Dan. The Lord bless you.
Out of nowhere this morning while I was attending to a minor task, came the thought that our physical needs and our spiritual needs will be provided for. A very poor explanation of the actual words I heard in my head. But they were there as I tried to remember exactly from which sermon I had read them, and by whom.
And here is this beloved sermon by Spurgeon, as if it were an affirmation of my sudden unexplained thoughts.
Thank you, Dan for your Monday postings of this man and his words which I find so gentle and instructive.
Good morning Bet! Our God is an Awesome God! ❤️😘
Good afternoon, G😘
Amen! And Hallelujah!!
There are no coincidences
Red-Breasted Merganser – First time seeing this species of duck was yesterday at Lake Erie along the Cleveland lakeshore, so I happily took some quick pictures for identification purposes, just to be sure. These mergansers are winter visitors to this area. And they seem to have a habit of diving underwater if they notice you looking at them through a camera or binoculars … For most people, this will just be a random duck photo. For me, I’ve wanted to see this type of duck in person ever since I was seven years old and picked up my first bird book.
Also included is a shot of a group of Red-Breasted Mergansers showing three males and a female, with one of the males performing a courtship display. Not the greatest quality image … temperature was a little above freezing and there was a stiff wind blowing, which made holding the camera steady a challenge. Plus, the ducks were far away and constantly in motion.
Thank you! Never have seen these birds before and the pics are great to witness!
You’re most welcome NanaB!
Posted the second photo despite its fuzzy quality because still in all, had no idea when I took the picture that I was capturing the exact moment of a courtship display! The timing was sheer dumb luck.
The cool thing about bird watching and photography is that it’s also like a travelogue letting you see the different places where birds live or migrate to, the habitat, and what goes on in the different seasons.
Wishing you a Happy Monday! 🙂
What a dapper fellow! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your kind words, Lorrie Girten!
he is a dapper fellow and his name is deplorable Dan
just sayin
meant that in a good way
Taken in a good way … am just now able to answer you since I’m on my lunch hour. That said, how about Deplorable Dapper Dan? 🙂
quack quack
“… sheer duck luck.”

😄
As long as you don’t “bill” me for your wit, BG Bari! 🙂
Quack quack
Thank you. Beautiful bird. Good picture of the male courting his girl.
Your kind comments are most gratefully appreciated, Marti!
I like his wild hair-do and little red beady eyes! 🙂
The color and pattern variations are really cool!
Thank you Phoenix
Those red eyes can be a bit startling at first, but then you look at the rest of the duck, see how perfectly they match the rest of the design, and marvel at God’s creation. Glad you appreciate the photos, Michael! 🙂
🙂 You Say It!
Oh I do, all the time, you really got a good eye!
You even captured reflections in the silo shot.
Thanks Patience! Given the weather conditions, the shots that came out were based on luck.
Good morning Patience ! ❤️
What a blessing for you, phoenix, to capture this pic! Persistence pays, right?
He could use a little of Betsy’s “Aquanet” though! 😅
Thanks for showing us – the photo, and persistence…
Pssssssst pssssssst
Good morning to you

Good to see you, Molonlabe!
Gald to be here Phoenix 🙂
Out bird loving Treeper friend, Colkitto, would be thrilled to see these, phoenix. I do hope he passes by to catch your your photos of this remarkable sighting.
I saw Colkitto on another thread two days ago 🙂
He comments mostly on the Presidential Thread. But for a while he was posting some beautiful birds on this one. Perhaps he’ll hear us calling him to check in here. He’s a duck lover extraordinaire😊
I miss him here! But understand…
And the bird pics were a delight!
Miss him too, sis. He certainly knows his birds, and his children’s books and films.
Yes, he does. I ordered Bird Watchers mag because of his good referral.
This month’s cover/feature is about the Brown Thrasher (our state bird).
Yesterday hubs was wondering something about this bird – and I had answer right at hand! 😄
Wonderful!!
In Britain there are many, many people whose hobby is bird watching and bird searching. They are called mockingly “Twitchers” by those who do not understand the utter thrill of seeing these beautiful creations of God in the great and stunning outdoors.
My favourite has always been the tiny kingfisher, so blue that if one hangs about the network of canals and marshes, it would be easy to see.
We love our birds! Today was a bluebird morning and counted five on the fence.
(They’re my fav.)
Last week, I walked in the yard and looked down – thankfully. Almost stepped on a baby goldfinch. Almost certain I was first human he’d ever seen! I stood there for moment, and he barely fluttered off into some pine straw and shrubs. Have been wondering about him, praying he’d make it, since there are several hawks around. This morning that little baby was at the birdbath for a drink! Thrilled my heart.
We enjoy goldfinches, too. So vibrant and beautiful.
I once tried to imagine a world without birds, and it was a sad thought.
God thought of everything for us.
I’m going to look up that kingfisher!
I was going to leave a picture of the sweet and colourful kingfisher. Found so many, but unfortunately not one which didn’t have writing all over it.
And like you, I’m too soft when I find little waifs and strays. And so, HOORAY!!!!!
What joyous news, Della, that one little lost(?) bird seems as if he will make it.
Molonlabe below mentions hawks and his brood of chickens, all named. His perspective about hawks is right, of course.
Nevertheless…
I miss my British birds. So many colourful ones. I’d put the names of some but my post would be moderated for calling them by there actual names. So can’t.
There are quite a few actual British descriptive words in common use which fall foul of the algorithms here, as I learned the other day.
Ah well, two countries separated by a common language, as Churchill said once upon a time…😎
I saw an indigo bunting once in a Kentucky tomato field. Unforgettably blue, took my breath away
Maybe he’s “ducking out” on us … 🙂
😂😂
😂😂😂….geeeee, hope not…
(VERY good, phoenix😉)
Phoenix oozes clever and wit…🥰
Boy, she really does!!💕
Cool..
Thanks Bananas! 🙂
Whoa!
Lucky you… good catch.
Congratulations❣️
-Thanks for sharing such a beauty.
Many thanks for your kind compliments, Patience!

Ha! I’ve been petting a hairless cat here at the girls house. Her name is Serinity, but if she doesn’t get the attention she wants she is far from serene and starts knocking stuff off the counter or any other surface she can get up on.
They call them “hairless” but really they have a little hair on them. It is just so short and thin that what you see is wrinkled skin.
How does that work, the Spirit coming into our bodies?
1 Corinthians 2:9-12 “But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man know the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
Thank you Dan 🙂
Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Good Bench Monday, Mr jay. 😊
FYI–TODAY is
International Polar Bear Day
National Albert Day
National Susan Day
Well, now you have educated me, Joe! Who knew??😁
That reminds me, a perfect occasion to send Al Gore to count the polar bears after rubbing him well with seal lard.
Maidin Mhaith Betsy 🇺🇸🥶🇺🇸
Brought their own benches…
Nice, serene, Betsy. BYOB = Bring your own bench!
Oh GOOD ONE!!!!👍🏻
🥶🥶
Yeah?? #metoo…
You cold, jay?
Going to 74 degrees today in GA.
Crazy temps in Feb. 🤪
We are warm today as well, Della. Red buds starting to peep and some plants which dropped all their leaves during that brutal icy patch in December are showing rejuvenating signs. Crossed fingers…
I read several posts from rah that cold weather is returning for Mar/Apr.
Even creation seems confused these days – do we bloom or not?
I remember that brutal ice in Tx! We didn’t get any so far.
But it has snowed here in GA third week of March – with yellow daffodils peeking out!
Saw plenty of daffodils and crocuses on the way down here in S KY,TN and GA.
Yeah, they “think” spring is here – but somebody needs to tell them! 😁😁
My plants and trees are not waiting. New buds appearing everywhere.
I miss my Welsh daffs…they were everywhere I’d look, just in time for St. David’s Day. One can bunches of 10 for £1 (probably higher now), and I purchased some for every room in our Victorian house (built 1869). They just seems to suit it so well.
Sad part was they were not very long lived, but I did enjoy the colour they brought with them…and it was a sign of spring and renewal. After cold winters they were a most welcome presence.
Someone posted a photo of Texas bluebonnets showing their pretty faces already in The Hill country South of Austin. I mist ask Grandpa if he has seen any….
Yo, jay 🙂 Thanks for posting these. I am humbled by Sophie Chassee’s effortless playing. Wow is she good!
🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Good day jay

Howdy Jay! These are all really excellent performances…
Tommy Emmanuel & Jscho Stephan are great guitar duo… Their cover of “If I Had You” is one of my favorites….

This country boy had that Steppenwolf album when I was in high school. Thanks for posting it.

you better watch your step girl .. don’t step on that 🍌 peel……..
We know that it’s probably magic . . .
Good morning Garrison ☘️
Afternoon Molonlabe 🙂
Good morning, Garrison. How funny you should post Willie, who’s voice everyone recognizes. Because yesterday, I heard his son singing, and the nut didn’t fall from the tree. He sounded exactly like his dad. Exactly!
And as an addendum I am posting this, which I hope one day will be happening at your house😉💕
You can tell it’s Monday all over for me…
“whose” not “who’s”.
Afternoon, Bet. The errant little black kitty didn’t show up last night, causing me to wonder . . . My neighborhood is generally safe for kitties as well as errant puppies (all dogs are puppies) so I’m just assuming the kitty has just gone walkabout. If he/she returns sooner or later there’ll be food and water available and, hopefully, some meaningful socialization. Before going walkabout, the little kitty was standing outside the fence looking at me and ‘Tink. That was a small improvement. We’ll see what happens. Watch this space. 🙂
I am alert for all news!!!! Perhaps he/she is getting used to the territory. Crossed fingers! 💕
Good afternoon Garrison!
Hiya, Gramps. 🙂
Howdy Garrison! Playing these brought a call early on from Mrs. Bari who was in the kitchen at the time “Turn it up!” I was happy to oblige… 😁
Wille has been one of her top favs for a long time….
Hope all is peaceful at your castle….
Ode to local news severe weather coverage..
Tornado sirens went off twice in my area; a tornado touched down a few miles away from where I live. Many reports of power outages and structural damage. No reports of injuries or fatalities. Yet. High winds and numerous tornados reported in western Oklahoma, Norman, and Oklahoma City.
Lightning and winds were intense. Wow. I can breathe now.
Btw Good morning Treepers.
Grew up around there. “Tornado Alley”. Spent some childhood nights in a neighbor’s cellar while funnel clouds passed overhead. Glad I live in Texas. 🙂
Good morning Garrison. I haven’t seen a tornado yet. I was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs when the sirens went off. Had no idea as where it was going to hit when it was spotted in Shawnee.
Whew. Too close for comfort.
Power and internet went down for a few minutes; came back on much to my relief. I knew there was a good reason for having a bunch of flashlights nearby.
This one affected some people I know. Scroll down in the link, for the video. (do not show the full scope).
https://highwaysandhailstones.com/tornado/plainfield-il-f5-tornado-of-august-28-1990/
Media account of deaths was inaccurate. There were more.
I keep preps for pups in basement.
I just watched the video of the guy standing on what looked like a balcony. He had a good view of the tornado. Very intense. He got his hair blow dried courtesy of Mother Nature.
The recap said there were 29 fatalities. Is that more accurate?
Tornadoes are truly scary and nothing to fool around with. The destructive forces are almost beyond belief. Keep yourself safe and secure.
Brother wanted me to move to Tulsa when the last place I worked for imploded upon itself, the reason I would never consider it was it was always windy at night, just like a storm sans thunder, I found it hard to sleep very well. (nor did my sinuses clear there)
Started my own business instead, doesn’t make a whole lot of profit, but it is enough to live here in the mountains of CO with clear sinuses.
One of the few places I ever found my sinuses cleared out enough to breathe properly.
Funny, first time I ever came to CO (2002) was with my best friend and his children, going into the last rest area before Denver ….. tornado sirens were going off for the first time in years or even decades. Even in Indiana I never heard them once (other that the test ones) in the 35+ years I was there, altho it did happen when I was living in MI, tornado missed my mom’s house by less than 50 feet west and north, both neighbor’s houses lost their roofs, her’s was essentially untouched other than blowing debris.
Tornado left a lasting scar from SW corner to NE corner of town removing most every tree from cemetery (SW) to cemetery (NE).
To this day, it is still a rather eerie sight when I go back.
Joe Bastardi is thinking that the colder than average temps of March and April will penetrate so far south that there is a chance the early part of the tornado season will see far fewer storms,
It is hard to believe that it will be cold in central AL in March and April, when it has been 80 degrees the past few days here. The trees are already greening up.
All the indications are it’s coming. The same thing happened in 1984. A very warm Feb., followed by snow in March and cold temps into April. I happen to remember getting 6″ of snow at Ft. Devens, MA on April 15th that year.
Joe’s forecast is based on analogs of global weather patterns and the various teleconnections and oscillations. Western Europe is in for it too. Norway, Sweden, and Finland will be average or warmer than average but everything south is in for winter cold up sot 15 C than usual for the time.
The models are picking up on it too now.
That won’t stop the globul warming mongers.
Nope! That, they will say, is just weather and not climate. But the next big tornado outbreak or hurricane that hits US shores, now THAT will be climate. Their machinations are so obvious that even Ray Charles could see them. But many with perfect eyesight are far more blind that Ray ever was.
I can actually beat that…in Wales, as I’ve written about before.
June 1…after a sunny May 31.
Three feet of snow.
If I’d not been there I would have accused someone who was of telling “porkie pies”… rhyming slang for “lies”.
Good morning to you Joe ☘️
Good morning Molonlabe. What a night. Sirens go off, watched Livestream coverage of storms and tornados, had News 9 on for more updates. Checked on my vehicles a few minutes ago. Both have a lot of dirt on them, but nothing broken.
One of the storm chasers looked like he was going to drive straight into a tornado. Somewhere in western Oklahoma. Guy must have drank too much Red Bull.
glad your ok
Thanx. Good to be here.
Thank goodness, Joe. The winds we had last night were ferocious, along with a short but heavy rain. Weren’t expecting it. So we must have received the edge of whatever you got here in North Texas. It can happen so quickly. Praying all near you are okay.
I was watching one of the storm chaser’s LiveStream when they were on the roads chasing tornados. Both guys in the car wore mustaches instead of full beards, etc. Lots of jokes in the chatroom comments about the “Stachenados”…
Other than the jokes, some people were really scared because they lived in towns that were in the numerous tornados’ projected paths.
Can’t say I blame them.
Tornados are capricious. Take one house, leave the one next to it. You simply have to pray and hunker down. That’s all you can do. I’d be nervous as well.
But I’m sure these chasers have a brother-, even sisterhood which is very tight knit. I suspect the adrenaline runs pretty high…
Monday? Already? Forget it, I’m calling out sick.
Beautiful kitty. I’m out sick too. E. Palestine winds blowing this way. Have to become a vigilante on getting soil tested. The air has sh*t in it. Consider me a canary in a coal mine for lots of things.
Anyways, then I read this from Dr. Malone’s substack:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/covid-origin-china-lab-leak-807b7b0a?mod=hp_lead_pos1
The Lord our God works in mysterious ways. But the waiting is the hardest part.
I’m thinking that all the toxins and dust that’s lingering around E. Palestine will have a long term impact on everything. Not just E. Palestine but other populated areas in that region. Humans, animals, plants, crops, soil, water, everything might be contaminated for a long time.
I just don’t see how anyone near E. Palestine would not have health issues after the “accident”.
Thank you for reminding me to keep on praying for the good health and healing of East Palestine and all affected, including the people, the land, the air, the water. I pray that any harm done by the train incident be reversed and the people, environment, and everything in it be blessed with restoration, made completely whole, and remain in good health. And that this blessing spread and apply outward to everyone and everywhere else that may be affected. I pray that the Precious, Saving, and Healing Blood of Christ cover the land. Asking all this in Jesus’ mighty name.
Also praying that what the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good. May revival break out in East Palestine. Amen
Praying!💕🙏
The more who pray, the better … Thank you super much, Lorrie Girten! 🙂
Michigan has already received tankers full of toxic waste from Palestine without “supposedly” Governor Whitmer’s knowledge.
I am all for a clean up and my sympathies go out to those in Palestine, Ohio and surrounding areas, however, the controlled burn of the toxic waste did not sound well thought out and to find out tankers full of this waste is now in Michigan and possibly Texas is upsetting for those of us that reside near those dump areas.
It has already been reported to move these toxins, even if diluted, would cause harm as it was transported along the path until these tankers met their destinations!
The toxins were not meant to be transported by truck so any precautions would have been made up as they did it.
The waste site in Michigan has been cited several times for violations (Republic Waste just pays the fines and remains open, pay to play).
Currently it’s been reported additional toxic deliveries have been halted.
Also experts on toxic spills say these toxins can continue to wreak havoc not only in Ohio, but anywhere else they are disposed of.
There is no definitive answers just think about the answers the citizens get about Cvd vaccines!
Now in multiple sites (there very well could be dump sites that have stayed off the radar) at minimum, there’s toxic waste that’s already shown so harmful it’s killed pets, livestock and wildlife.
Good ole Reps. Talib and Dingell swooped in and saved the day😏😒(very convenient how they complained after tons of waste was already disposed of in the Great Lake State of Michigan.)
Yes I reside in Michigan and it’s been blessed with so much but much has been ruined by the power brokers that are motivated by greed and I believe currently the destruction of Michigan.
President Trump won in 2020 and Gov. Whitmer lost.
The cheating was multi faceted and rampant.
Voter fraud is rampant but, myself, friends, and family still vote, after all I never thought President Trump would win in 2016.
Thanks for that insight tammy. I, too, am in MI and relatively close to dump site.
I saw there was a protest going on there yesterday (sunday) because the witch govr arranged secretly for MI to be a recipient.
yet another sad incident for our state.
Whitmer and her staff do as they’re told.
There are multiple sites one in Detroit area and another in VanBuren County are just two I am aware of and I reside close to VanBuren.
There is obviously no price worth ruining water, air and soil quality but, the government behaves otherwise.
There are protests but, where’s MSM?
Where’s Al Gore, Kerry, Greta, George “ global warming is real” Clooney!?
Every outspoken climate doom and gloomer not a peep.
For a government operation it sure appears organized; controlled burn and tons of toxic waste loaded up in tankers to contaminate other states as well.
Public only becoming aware after tons of toxic waste had already been dumped!
How can the citizens stop and uprise when they’re not even aware until the damage has been done?!
It is disheartening and shameful but for those that criticize Michigan and blame the residents look in your own state because President Trump won in 2016 and Arizona, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nevada, Georgia (likely number wise most voter fraud), Pennsylvania, and many more states were either much more close or Trump won by a much larger margin.
The blue wave the Democrats predicted was a red/blood bath wave courtesy of President Trump and his constituents.
I am not in denial it’s just common sense.
You are right about Texas, Tammy.
Toxic materials were indeed shipped apparently without notifying any authorities.
It stopped after the first shipment when the representative from Houston, the appalling Sheila Jackson Lee, raised cane.
Not our governor Abbott, nor any other governmental agency. In fact all has been quiet on that front. Not a peep. And that is worrying and shocking beyond my comprehension.
In this country we are in the hands of fools, incompetents, and evil doers.
Over the past two days Greenland has accumulated 16 billion tons of new snow.
Mike Adams has a number of good articles on how to detoxify from dioxins:
https://www.naturalnews.com/2023-02-20-dioxins-galore-how-to-block-toxic-chemical-exposure-fallout-food-water-air.html
I’ve started a list. Broccoli sprouts, chlorella tablets, dandelion root, milk thistle, parsley, onions, garlic, and he also suggested three apples a day for pectin.
He backs up many of these suggestions with studies done on mice. They were able to clear dioxin much faster when they were fed these foods/herbs.

Thank you Betsy!
I forgot where I read it but it is said that the turtles in the East Palestine area have shown an affinity for pizza and great interest in martial arts since the train wreck.
I’ve seen the meme for that…
Here’s one who won’t be calling sick!
Hey , what you lookin at
Cat says 🐈
Mary of Bethany anoints the Lord Jesus for His burial, and Judas’ subsequent betrayal.
Scriptures put together, in order for showing the complete picture as it happened
Matthew 26:6-16, 3-5; Mark 14:3-11, 1-2; Luke 22:1-6; John 12:1-8
(Matthew 26:6-7) “Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on His head, as He sat at meat.” (Mark 14:3) “And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head.” (John 12:1-3) “Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom He raised from the dead. There they made Him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with Him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”
(John 12:4-6) “Then says one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray Him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.” (Mark 14:45) “And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.” (Matthew 26:8-9) “But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.”
(Mark 14:6-9) “And Jesus said, Let her alone; why [do] you trouble her? she has wrought a good work on Me. For you have the poor with you always, and whensoever you will you may do them good: but Me you have not always. She has done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint My body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.” (John 12:7-8) “Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of My burying has she kept this. For the poor always you have with you; but Me you have not always.” (Matthew 26:10-13) “When Jesus understood it, He said to them, Why trouble you the woman? for she has wrought a good work upon Me. For you have the poor always with you; but Me you have not always. For in that she has poured this ointment on My body, she did it for My burial. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her.”
(Luke 22:1-6) “Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill Him; for they feared the people. Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him unto them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude.” (Matthew 26:3-5,14-16) “Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill Him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people . . . Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said to them, What will you give me, and I will deliver Him to you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.” (Mark 14:10-11) “And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray Him unto them. And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.”
I thought that this would be enough for us to meditate upon; and if anyone has a word from the Lord to share, we are all here in Jesus’ Name, to participate and fellowship.
1 Corinthians 14:31 “For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.”
Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Well, I was struck by how, when Mary’s extreme love was openly “poured out” upon the Lord, the extreme hissing of the devil was excited against it; and how that was the “excuse” that Judas could seize upon to make his move. So however many months his little charade was going, pretending to still be a pious brother, while sticking his fingers into the bag; unbeknownst to Mary, (as the only thing that was on her mind, was Jesus about to go to Jerusalem and be killed; and apparently she was probably the ONLY ONE, of all His friends and followers, who was actually listening closely to Him), the Light of God was glowing in her, that the hardened and impenitent Judas, couldn’t stand to be in her presence without crying out in anger and making a scene.
And Judas being publicly rebuked in front of everyone, at his father’s house, who was hosting this dinner: its amazing how things happen, that bring to the surface what’s really in people’s hearts! And the fact that some of the others were so readily drawn into the ugliness, gives us something else to think about, how loving Jesus like Mary did, and sitting at His feet and hearing what He was saying; will affect our behavior being godly and right or not.
Thank you for this – very powerful and helpful post.
Thank you Sibyl 🙂
Fascinating points to ponder, Michael!
Hello Phoenix! Yes, I think its good to take all accounts of what happened, to get the most complete understanding; for it makes for a firmer faith when we know what we believe. And everything that makes more real, and conveys the sense and the meaning, I believe is what the LORD has ever used to speak to us.
Many like better more a religious superstition, which doesn’t demand honesty and integrity of faith; because there doesn’t have to be an accounting of what is kept in the fantasy. Nut all of God’s Law and Testimony in the Scriptures, is according to Truth, facts done! So is the Light that He puts in us by grace, through faith.
Thanks Phoenix! Always nice! 🙂

Love all the music posted on this thread. When I think of the phrase the ” Universe as it should” tonight I played this song. Verily. And God Bless us Each and Every One. Good morning I guess.
wont u b my neighbor
As a toddler watching Star Trek with my father, Mr. Spock resonated with me, and reminded me of my father. I also noticed that whenever there was trouble, the Captain turned to Mr. Spock for guidance. Thus began the life of this avid Star Trek fan. RIP Leonard Nimoy
Spock singing “Ruby Don’t Take Your Love to Town”!!!! Think Kenny Rogers did it a LOT better. No offense to Spock, but I hope Spock realized the error of his ways cutting that song.
I think he was much better than Shatner was on his album, that said, it was exploitation for money on steroids.
This may have been the first example of the trend to capitalize on fame.
Don’t forget, the system wasn’t set up to keep paying the artists each time their work was shown. Star Trek was a three year flash in the pan that became popular through reruns. That brought them fame, but gave others the resulting money.
“By the mid-1950s, both SAG and AFTRA had been successful in negotiating residuals for TV programs re-runs.”
https://www.sagaftra.org/membership-benefits/residuals/history-residuals
“During and following Star Trek, Nimoy also released five albums of musical vocal recordings on Dot Records.”
Residuals existed before Star Trek.
The “Merch” business still exists today, I do not blame anyone for trying to grab additional funds while the proverbial “iron” is hot.
Indeed, before he was country, he was rock ‘n roll…
Good Morning,
Did you ever notice that where you see the vast majority of EVs is in or near major population centers?
By far their greatest utility is as runabouts for local commutes and errands. IOW, where the majority are being used is where there is public transportation available! So much for the owners signaling their concern for the environment in using them. Their attempt at virtue signaling is in fact just the opposite.
Of course, those metropolitan areas are also the only places where there exists even a miniscule number of charging stations, without which an EV is merely an unwieldy, overweight, cumbersome paperweight
And after getting their EV purchase subsidize they will start clamoring for the Tax Payers to pay to put in more charging stations.
IMPROVERISHED MINISTRY OF JESUS
“From whence then hast Thou that living water?” John iv. 11
“The well is deep” – and a great deal deeper than the Samaritan woman knew! Think of the depths of human nature, of human life, think of the depths of the “wells” in you. Have you been impoverishing the ministry of Jesus so that He cannot do anything? Suppose there is a well of fathomless trouble inside your heart, and Jesus comes and says – “Let not your heart be troubled”; and you shrug your shoulders and say, “But, Lord, the well is deep; You cannot draw up quietness and comfort out of it.” No, He will bring them down from above. Jesus does not bring anything up from the wells of human nature. We limit the Holy One of Israel by remembering what we have allowed Him to do for us in the past, and by saying, “Of course I cannot expect God to do this thing.” The thing that taxes almightiness is the very thing which we as disciples of Jesus ought to believe He will do. We impoverish His ministry the moment we forget He is Almighty; the impoverishment is in us, not in Him. We will come to Jesus as Comforter or as Sympathizer, but we will not come to Him as Almighty.
The reason some of us are such poor specimens of Christianity is because we have no Almighty Christ. We have Christian attributes and experiences, but there is no abandonment to Jesus Christ. When we get into difficult circumstances, we impoverish His ministry by saying – “Of course He cannot do anything,” and we struggle down to the deeps and try to get the water for ourselves. Beware of the satisfaction of sinking back and saying – “It can’t be done”; you know it can be done if you look to Jesus. The well of your incompleteness is deep, but make the effort and look away to Him.

Amen. His grace is sufficient for me; for His strength is made perfect in weakness!
Malachi 3:2-3 “But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appears? for He is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.”
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
Thank you Stevie. The Lord bless your day today.
…and to you also, Michael…Blessings! 😁🙏
In the last episode of the 3rd season of The Chosen, Simon Peter is dealing with personal issues and is angry at Jesus for not helping him or even acknowledging them. BUT, he is SO convinced of Jesus’s divinity that when the the other disciples ask him how Jesus will feed the crowds, he keeps answering – if Jesus wants to feed them, He will. It will be done.
I wish we all that faith.
Hi Riley, what a divine attribute to be able to so confidently depend upon our Lord and Savior! This is a lesson I am presently going through. Can I get to the place where everything I need…everything…comes first from my Jesus? Presently, in the process of prepping for the unexpected, I need several things. I’ve researched and done what I can do and have hit walls. Jesus is prepping me (I’d like to see it this way 😉) to just rest and let Him provide as needed. Blessings to you my friend! 🙏
To hear the press tell it now, Jimmy, the peanut Famer, Carter, was one of the greatest presidents in US history.
Those that lived it and were aware at the time know better.
US defense was at a low point. The failed Iran hostage rescue. US naval ships stuck in port due to a lack of parts to repair them. Gas lines and green days and Jimmy telling us that the world was about to run out of oil. Turn your thermostats down to 68 deg. and wear a sweater was his advice. His story about being attacked by a vicious rabbit when out in a boat. The term “Stagflation” was invented to describe the US economy during his tenure.
Misery index, you forgot he spawned the term misery index.
I also forgot that he gave away the Panama Canal!
Yeap, made no logical sense whatsoever.
Jimmy Carter GAVE away our Panama Canal.
The US powers that be seem to enjoy giving away what is not theirs to give.
In Britain decades ago, the then Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, who eventually became their Jimmy Carter Prime Minister, sold one half of Britain’s gold reserves (can’t remember to whom) when the price was $238/oz. Half!
As of this day it is $1822/oz.
Incompetence knows no nationality.
It was ours to give back. The US built it, maintained it, and ran it by treaty.
Just like the Kasserns in Germany that were SS. Per the treaty, they were no longer possessions of Germany in perpetuity. But with the ending of the Cold War we returned them to Germany.
So just like our sovereignty….
Which is about to be given away lock, stock, and barrel to the WHO. By treaty.
And one which is not subject to ratification by the Congress.
At which point anything which the monstrous WHO pronounces we are bound to by international law.
They’re going to try, but per the Constitution only the Senate can ratify a treaty. Their first hurdle will be the SCOTUS and the 2nd, if they get that far, will be the Senate. Yes, the Dems control the Senate, but just like the Paris Accords, it is unlikely that it will go through, even if presented.
This I know.
What they are going to do is attach it to an existing treaty.
And that is how they are going to get around the pesky problem of ratification.
unless Thomas dies, they won’t get away with that.
I see some states are aware of what is happening…well, so far only Florida has legislation going through which states-ish that that state will not be bound by anything coming out of the WHO.
Federalism needs to kick in big time.
As for Justice Thomas? May the Almighty protect him and grant him good health for years to come. My gosh how I admire that man.
During his reign more service personnel died in training accidents than in other conflicts–he was awful. The face of H for H. My daughter decided to do that one spring break during school. A bunch of them worked for days, slept in some church basement and then one day stood around while some corp. sponsor types did a photo op.

Oh, Molon! I just want to give him big hug, wipe the tears, and let him know it’ll be ok! A sad child gets to me…
And the verse is precious…highlighted in my Bible.
Morning Miss.Della.B
btw
I love your name
What if you made one word out of it
Somethin like this
Misdelabee
What would that word mean
To me it would mean warm kindness
Like
“I’m feelin very misdelabee today “
😁☘️🌸☘️
Awww, that’s so nice of you, molon!
You can just call me Della ! And I like your one word name, too!
One name I won’t answer to: Miss Behave. 😂😂
My name is special to me since it was my great-grandmother’s name. She died when my grandfather was two years old. Hope to see her one day in heaven. 🙏🏻
Molon, your picture got my wheels turning … I thought of my dear grandfather whose mother died when he was two years. But God took good care of him for ninety years. He lived a long, healthy, fruitful life, and loved the Lord Jesus.
So, yes, suffering is terrible, but God uses it for our good – and His glory. 🥰🥰
My granpa was very poor as a child . Came to America when he was 21 . Made a big big family 11 healthy babies. I say so because he also lived to be 90 like yours and always healthy . He lived mostly on bread and wine . He loved his wine . Had about five big barrels he made real good dark red wine. Was always always in his garden and we dared not get near it. He’d yell we’d run. Fun

Good memories for you, Molon! Those gardens are a wonderful thing and back in the day, a means to survive!
My hubs has garden and he tries to keep animals and kiddos out or they will destroy it!
Just can’t keep birds from pecking the tomatoes. He does let the little ones help pick green beans!
They like that.
My grandpa was very poor, too, Molon. Born on 1898, in the country. Then, he lived through WW1, WW2, and the Depression. Very hard times, but he always, always had a big smile on his face.
Miss him so much.
One of the fondest memories I have of my very much loved mother in law was sitting in her small kitchen in an unairconditioned house (window units only) with big bowls of snap beans or fresh peas. All the while chatting, snapping or de-podding (isn’t there a word for for taking peas out of their pods??), and relatives and friends just popping by for a natter. Simple life, good times…and do I ever miss them.
I understand completely, Betsy.
(And how in the world did we make it without air conditioners?)
My mamma said she had to shell a quart of peas before going to play.
That was some terrible abuse, right! 😂
But I was born for the simple life. The simpler, the better.
of course you do
💕💕💕
Good morning, my friend.
Where are my words….except for unexpected tears, I have none…
Morning to you, Betsy! While reading your greeting to molon, I was reminded of a verse that was posted here yesterday: “God will wipe away every tear.”
I think you and I are going to hold up the line when we get to heaven – so many tears to tend to.
Morning, Della. There are so many tears, especially when they come because of our littlest. I have never know myself to be as tearful as I have been these past few months knowing what we know. And I am so sure you and I will be holding hands waiting for the loving gentle Hand to wipe ours away, along with all the rest.
I can’t remember where I saw it, but as you were reminded, so was I with this…tears are silent prayers, when we cannot find the words.
And I absolutely believe those prayers may speak the loudest, even in their silence.🙏🏻💕
I saw that, Betsy – and wrote it down, it touched me so!
Liquid tears = silent prayers – Charles Spurgeon.
He had a gift. I should have known. I really should have.💕
Betsy, you’re a walking encyclopedia- go easy on yourself…💕
Give grace … and more grace.
I’d say a lot of it is what people call useless information But it is amazing how many times what I may have thought trivial suddenly is very useful and apposite to a conversation.
Worse for me is this. Every time I run across something which really makes an impression on me, I will take a screenshot on my phone. You wouldn’t believe how much I have that I remember and want to refer to. But there is so much I have to trawl through everything to find it.
Never mind…then I run across things I had forgotten I had. Scripture, photos, quotes…and that’s a joy.
So, do you make a grocery list and leave it at home? That’s routine for me. 😁😁
I’m not too attached to my phone, although I do like it. Tend to do things the old way. Write them down. Or, send an email to myself with the content, and save the emails.
Besides, if I lost my phone, how would I know anyone’s number unless it’s written down or in memory. 🤣🤣
Yes, YES I DO!!!!😂 Only to realize it as I am halfway to the store. I can usually remember aisle by aisle what I need because I visualize.
But guaranteed, I will leave the store without the one thing I went in for. The top item on that forgotten list.😁
amen
Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Beautiful, beautiful words, Molon. I’ve tasted … and He is good.

On Christmas Eve, every year, we watch Carols from Kings. It is a carol service with readings from the Bible of the birth of Jesus.
I am leaving the full service from last Christmas, so anyone who can make time to watch will understand why this is a most treasured moment for us. Always the best part of our Christmas.
It is a beautiful chapel at any time, but the magnificence of it at night, all candles lit, with voices rising from within it is truly a thing to behold.

Good Morning Miss Betsy
Appreciate your cheery attitude
And a wonderful morning to you as well, monticello!🤗
When our Mondays come around, I find myself thinking that the last was only yesterday. And there is absolutely no better place to start another week than here with friends who have become family. Right?
Right!!!!
So onward….hope your week is filled to the brim with blessings aplenty.😊
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Such beautiful roses, dear duchess, to accompany Scripture this morning.

One is headed to God’s heart in the garden

GOD WILL HAVE THE LAST WORD
The world has been horribly hijacked
Evil has aggressively attacked
Whatever way we are tempted to turn
We find ourselves grinded in the quern
Explosions earthquakes sabotage shortages
Destruction destitution poisonous portages
You promised us freedom in a jubilee year
Is it possible this blessing is notably near
You said vengeance is in Your domain
We understand why You must abstain
Your thoughts and timing are surely not ours
We have no doubt in Your mighty powers
We are trying hard to have faith
Not by sight just as you saith
The ungodly spurn and ridicule You
That will be their downfall it is true
The assets of the wicked will be dispersed
To the righteous man as has been versed
We need not worry if God will repay
All they have stolen and taken away
Rest assured God will move unexpectedly
He knows how to manage quite effectively
We need not be concerned if and when
God will have the last word now and then

I am!!!! Up top, dear friend😊
It is Monday all over for me. So, as usual for a Monday, I am late and lagging. Especially do I want you to see my comment on your gorgeous picture of Kings College.
I have left you an out of season video of how beautiful it is when services are conducted at night, which I feel will lift you up.
Their boys’ voices are so moving, and places for their choirs are very sought after. Bookmark if you don’t have time for when it is quiet to understand why this particular service always makes us feel closer to God.💕🙏🏻
And bless you for looking out for me😘
Saw it and book marked it dear friend.
Been busy myself this am.
just came back from a friends place with eight new chicks.
Going back out again now to get them introduced to my best buddies.
Alvin, he is a Border Collie
and Jillian and Bruce, brother and sister German Shepherds
So far so good
I needed to replenish as the hawks have been hungry lately.
two of my girls got swept away by the hawk this week, Gertrude and Fiona
No problem though, they were my oldest.
Hawks got to eat too, I guess and I never have the heart to remove the old girls from the clan even after they stop pumping out eggs.
Circle of life i guess
This is Alvin , he’s got a big heart . My best friend
Bet
Not kidding ,the new chicks like Bach
☘️🌸☘️
I take care of my girls
Bought my best girls some new clothes recently , yup,
Lookin good in new vests
Keeps their back and feathers safe and comfy
☘️
And we are listening to 🎼
☘️🌸☘️
Perhaps a photo when you can🙏🏻
I am leaving for you a complete playlist performed by perhaps the finest group, specializing in Bach.
The Netherlands Bach Society.
71 of his cantatas, so you can listen and select those which you feel the girls will respond to. Or just for you when you just need to hear the uplifting compositions of Bach.
Babies and Bruce
Well, there’s my heart gone…I could just wrap my arms around him.😍!!!
Oooooo!!! Discerning! Wonderful!
So do I…very much💕
Oh!!! He’s a beauty!! Oh MY!
My dad’s first name was Alvin. So this I can remember.😊
Our house in Wales was surrounded on three sides by our neighbour’s fields, each filled with, of course, sheep. It was a joy to see those beautiful border collies doing what they do best. Such smart, smart dogs.
I don’t know if you knew that they actually train their farmer owners rather than the other way around.
The farmer shouts a command and watches which way his dog in training goes, and then makes that the signal he uses for that direction. So on and so forth. I found that very interesting.
And because it was Wales, there was a vast estate up in the hills which every year hosts the Sheep Dog Trials, first place being most coveted.
https://vivodsheepdogtrial.square.site/
“Jillian”, but with a “G” is a name you’d see often in Wales. My sister in law had a lovely rescued German Shepherd (Jack) who kept a watchful eye on her small horse riding and carriage driving property.
And she keeps chickens, but their predators are the foxes rather than hawks.
I understand your reasoning about the hawks. They are only doing what they were built for. But I’m afraid I’d shed a tear or two, especially as your girls had names… nature is hard. Circle of life for all…absolutely.
Hope you get your newbies in place. And I hope your egg layers do so where you can easily find those more precious than gold (these days) eggs.
My sister in law’s hens have a very large area to roam in, so they could lay anywhere…and do…as the mood takes them. Its a job for her and her driving partner to scout about for them. Egg hunts every day.
I didn’t realize how much more delicious free range eggs were. Never tasted one until I moved to Wales. But the difference was astounding.
I am so glad you’ve posted about your lovely boys and girls. What a wonderful family you have. This has been a treat for me this morning, dear friend. I am feeling the love!!😘
Bet. I bury my pets , everyone one of em and I mark the grave with the three biggest rocks at hand and move on
The rock piles getting pretty big so I may give that a break

Alvin is smarter than me . I don’t need to use words with him . He reacts well to my tone and movements . He has three hearts on his long coat , this is one , he has two more on the other side . Love him so much. Love this tree as much☘️
Love your reply . I can picture myself there watching the dogs run
In Gods green in Wales
So fast , and can turn
So fast
I like looking at the marks
They make in the dirt
He’s fast
He’s smart
My Sheps
They watch out for me
☘️
I know you do, dear friend.
As that saying goes, knowing how people treat their animals tells me everything I need to know about them. Truth times a million.💕
Molon, we bury our pets, too, way back of house. Hubs made a wooden head marker for our dog, Honey. It took several weeks to complete as he wood burned (engraved) her name and dates in the wood. It also helped him work out some grief.
Here’s a watercolor pic of our sweet girl…
Oh Della….that’s just wonderful. May I ask who the watercolourist is?? If you would rather not say, perfectly fine. Showing this to my water colourist husband…
It’s been awhile, can’t recall last name!
First name is Rachel, in Portland Oregon. She had/has a business for this.
Will look for receipt!
Will post my kitty Abbie, that she did.
Here’s Abbie…
They’re framed and hanging side by side.
Love Abbie as well … looks like a storybook kitty! With a look of depth that has seen much, and a wealth of well-weathered adventures!
Abbie was another rescue – she found us one cold January morning, in pitiful condition. We nurtured her – along with the vet – back to health, and she was the best!
Abbie and honey
Remember them forever
Love watercolor art – some of my fav!
That’s wonderful your hubs can paint such!
So, right before the horrible 2020 C. lockdown, I found a miniature watercolor portrait in a small antique shop. Loved it so much so I located the artist, Chrysoula Argyros!
She was living in South Africa, born in Greece, and also has lived in London.
Such a lovely person to talk to.
Here’s a pic of what I was planning to order before the whole world shut down…
It just speaks to me!
If you’re interested, have few more portraits of hers I can post.
Rachel Rossman. Not sure if she’s still in Oregon. Things have changed there since I spoke with her.
Now this is art! And such an expression of love shines through! Magnificence and heart combine with motion and emotion swirling as a testament of a life well shared in this finely multi-faceted and dimensional composition of Honey.
I thought the artist did great job, too, phoenix – especially since I emailed her a photo of Honey and she created it from that.
Sidenote: Honey was a rescue – she found us one morning as six month old puppy, with a piece of orange rope tied around her neck. Scared to death.
She became our family member!

Sweetest doggie in the world, Molon.
But we all say that about our own, right!
Well, I really commend the artist because as an artist myself, I’ve participated in a bunch of art exhibitions and craft shows over the years with people who offer pet portraits and animal paintings … many of the animal renderings look a bit goofy to me … like they can’t get the eyes right is my most common critique. Your artist is a treasure trove of talent, Miss.Della.B!
As for Honey’s background, that’s definitely a sweet story! (looks like I’ve cross posted with molonlabe, great minds think alike!) 🙂
She definitely got the eyes right…oh, those eyes. They touch my heart in big way.
Alvin is adorable! What a great friend to have, Molon!
If you have the room and the inclination I am told that geese will keep the raptors like hawks away.
I may give geese a try this year since I lost 5 layers over 18 monthes to raptors. Trying to locate Cotton Patch goslings which will reputedly also weed your gardens.
I don’t allow my chickens in the gardens because they love tomatoes and squash and will happily poke holes in them.
Free range American Dominique hens which although they sometimes leave presents about are great foragers and somewhat allay the parasites and bugs. If we leave the coops open they’re great about laying in the nesting boxes 95% of the time.
Have a gr8 evening all.
You do the same! See you anon😘
hi monte
my hens only lay in the nesting boxes
thanks for the info
fun talking with you all
Oh, poor gertrude and fiona! 🙁

Every time I see their predictions are based on their models, my response is…
Meh…accompanied by eye rolls and perhaps a shrug or two. History has shown that is the only response to make.

MORNING
Reckon ye yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 6:11
He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:19, 20
Because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:19
I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. John 10:28-30
if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God … For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Col. 3:1, 3
EVENING
God … giveth … liberally, and upbraideth not. James 1:5
Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:10, 11
The grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many… The free gift is of many offences unto justification. Rom. 5:15, 16
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:4-7
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Rom. 8:32

You open your hand, you satisfy the desire of every living thing. – Psalm 145:16
It is easy to think only of the small sphere in which you live, but today’s verse is hopefully a reminder of the care God has for every living thing… not just for you and your family, but every living thing! From the deserts to the mountains, from the plains to the Everglades, all creatures must look to God to provide.
The insect and bird, the lion and whale must be fed for life to be sustained. Each has its own timetable for feeding, but the Lord provides in every moment – 24/7. It is another reason to believe in God the Creator, for He who creates sustains. God’s resources are infinitely vast and infinitely varied. The needs of all creatures, including human beings, do not tax His supply nor His power.
Instead, His hand is open. He will freely give to those in need. He alone is the Provider, and He is a generous Giver, especially related to spiritual things. He opened His hand and sent His most precious gift to be Savior of all people.
The believer who seeks to know Jehovah more, and who stands in awe of His goodness, will soon begin to desire those things which the Lord desires. Be assured that when God directs, He will make a way and you will be satisfied, and even more so, in doing His will.
Be one that is open-handed in giving aid to others, humbly relying upon God.
Pray now that He would guide you to desire His will. Then intercede for this nation’s governing officials to humble themselves and turn to the Lord for guidance as they seek to help others.

Matthew 25:31-46Jesus said to his disciples: “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’ Then they will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?’ He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
