Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Yes, indeed. Thank you.
As antidote for the malevolence and sewage we are surrounded by, fresh awareness of the power, the presence, and the love of God is increasingly valuable in order to maintain spiritual (and everyday human….) footing. We live in incredibly ugly, wicked times.

Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Hi Jay! Here is the follow up!
Mornin’ jay 🙂
Howdy Garrison 🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Good morning, Mr jay. Nothing to say except…oh MY!!!😍
Maidin Mhaith Betsy Blessings!!
Perfect, my friend. I’ve seen many a Texas sky just like that one. And b st like the autumnal beauty of the changing colour of leaves, it doesn’t linger. Wish it did….beautiful💕
Spectacular ❣️
😎

Howdy Patience 🙂
….. smilin!
Hi Patience! ❤️
Hello there, Pa🫠❣️❣️❣️
Good morning, Patience and Ma😘🌲😘
I’m pretty certain it was a post of yours weeks back that made me remember I have kept a meme on my phone (which I take a screenshot of when I see one that truly makes an impression on me) which I thought you and Ma would like. As I was scrolling through all I keep last night, I saw it and swore when I saw you next, I would post it for you ladies…
“On the darkest days, when I feel inadequate and unworthy, I remember whose daughter I am, and I straighten my crown.”
We all have those days…thought you both would appreciate this.😘
Very powerful… and true.
So thoughtful of you, Betsy.
-thanks 😇
Oh! Pardon my manners:

You found it!! Jolly good!😁
Good afternoon Bet! Late here today. had a morning Men’s breakfast then another run to town for a fundraiser, then checked on my mom. /finally got her new phone going and it’s working at her house. Now I am training her how to use it. It’s android and since I’ve always used iPhones that means I’m learning how to use it, too.
Had my first fight yesterday with the giant Norwegian mosquito. That’s what I call the nurse lady that injected my spider veins. Have 2 more. That one hurts because you get poked gazillion times with the needle and no numbing. 🤣 The mosquito won. ❤️😘
Howdy from further north of you, G. Dang!!!! Ouch!! I’m so sorry. And believe it or not, I’m feeling those jabs with you and gritting my teeth. 😬😬😬!! I thought you were done with those. It has been a long time since the last ones, no? Norwegian you say…and now I have formed a mental picture of one of those large, buxom officious looking British matrons that used to run the wards in NUS hospitals with such efficiency…only Nordic. Eeeek! The bright side is (if there is one) is you are closer to the end than when you started…😉
Yeeeeah…those phones…I’m a complete putz with those. Always afraid when I’m setting it up after an update that I’m alerting some nefarious government agency that will track me to kingdom come. So I just hand it over to my “man” and he knows what to do. How pathetic is that?? Plus I wouldn’t know the difference between an android phone and the one I’ve got, IPhone. I don’t trust any of them….
Waiting for our most wonderful yard man and his lovely son to debride the leaves from our yard. That are so many!! He comes on Saturdays and does 5 yards on hour block. But of course, wouldn’t you know it…raining just enough to make it difficult if nor impossible. All the leaves off our pin oak, the crepes, the redbuds, and the monstrous Cleveland pears from our neighbours’ yard. I’ll slip him some extra walking around money when he comes…please please tomorrow before we get a threatening no no letter from the hideous natzified HOA. I’m ready with a response in case they send us one. I’m not known (per dear Mungrel) as Little Big Thunder for nothing!! 😁😘
Actually, the Norwegian lady is very nice. It’s funny because she is that blond Scandinavian gal with a Mexican last name. Her husband is from around here. 🙂
And since I’m not used to the Goolag based phones my name for them is “hemorrhoid phones”.
Hahahahahaaa!!!! Perfect name. Leave it to you😁
🤗
Good afternoon jay!
Aw…the memories….
🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Amen🙏
Joshua judges Ruth is one of Lyle’s best albums . . .
One more . . .
Howdy Garrison NICE!! 🙂
Thanks, jay . . . It just felt right tonight, 🙂
Good morning, Garrison…
A Saturday which starts with Lyle Lovett, and lots of him, is bound to be a great one. It will be for me, and I hope for you as well, my friend😘
Mornin’ Bet. Inspired by some pretty standard late-night-blues. I have a feeling that’s how and when these songs were written. Joshua Judges Ruth (1992) gets my vote for one of Lyle’s very best albums (and I have most of his), largely because of these songs.
Songs like stories work best when they tell us things about ourselves. These songs do just that. I’ve mentioned before that, although I don’t think he’s ever identified the actual location, if you’re familiar with I-10 travel the restaurant Michael describes in 5 o’clock is (or was) probably right on I-10 in Ft. Stockton. It definitely had the very ambiance including the post-card rack . . .
I think I identify so strongly with his song because I was returning to Texas about the time he wrote it and had a set of similar feelings—I wasn’t at all sure if she’d be there when I got home. Fortunately, 55 years later, all was well. 🙂
😎
(((💖)))
Patience . . . Thanks, love . . . 🙂
Possibly one of your best, most heartfelt posts, Garrison…every word. And I am with you. I’ve no doubt that most of these songs in this genre are actually very personal tellings of the lives of those who wrote/sing them. That those who, like you, hear them and feel them and can so easily apply them to their own lives just says we all are not so different.
I have no adequate words for your last sentences. Both of you were fire tested and came through. Never gave up. Two souls as one…I understand it completely, my dear friend💕
Thanks for your kind words, Bet. I chose that combination because, listening to them, it just seemed that the songs were individually and in combination expressing stories of painful loss. Together, I thought they told a good story.
Re: fire tested. We had plenty those events. Looking back, as I’ve been doing a lot of lately, I’ve come to realize that is how we discovered just how lasting love rests upon the values of trust and loyalty. They don’t show up by accident and lasting love can’t exist without them—you have to work on ’em. 🙂
It is always a work in progress. Two essential building blocks are loyalty and trust…with friendship as the base on which they rest I’ve always thought…😘
Yep. And how laughably (sometimes anyway) long it sometimes takes us to reach that all important epiphany. And how is it that women always seem to figure this stuff out long before us guys do??? Scheech. 🙂
Afternoon Garrison! Maybe because womenz get a fully functional brain way earlier then us guys. 😁
BTW, used to have that album long time ago. Not sure what happened to it. Possibly, one of my kids “borrowed” it without asking.
It’s a gene thing😁 I’m convinced of it! Hahaha!
Here’s Don Henley’s contribution to lost loves.. yes she left because she really wanted to. Another little nice Texas waltz… “You must not drinking enough”

Who and how?
Stay tuned….hoping that Nemesis, though exceedingly late, has finally shown up.
Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas season. May God forgive you all your sins and restore within you a right spirit.
Beautiful! Thank you Patty…I wait all year to hear these….
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.”
Or perhaps they were simply doing the best they could do, no? Fortunately, you don’t own the moral high ground here, Fly . . . 🙂
Judge not, lest ye be judged. Something I keep in mind every single day.

Guideposts Classics: Jim Nabors on Putting God First – Guideposts
Found this interesting story about Jim Nabors. Blessings to all this HOLYday season.
Thank you for posting this Aggiegirl. So Beautiful!!!
When I was a kid this music was everywhere at Christmas time. I just loved it so much. I was not a Christian and was not raised in a Christian home. I was raised as an aetheist.
I thank God daily for calling me for so long and with such intensity that I finally listened. I was 44 (now 70) when I accepted Christ as my Saviour. Changed my life in ways I could never imagine, all for the better.
God uses a lot of people in a lot of ways to get the attention of those He calls. I am so very thankful for those He sent to get my attention. I pray that He bless them because they played a part in getting me to finally pick up a Bible and read it.
Patty, I’ve always felt God puts people in our lives we never knew we needed at a time when we need them the most. What a love testimony. Thank you so much for posting it.💕
We have been listening nonstop to classical and choral Christmas music on Sirius XM (channel 75) since the day after Halloween. So moving, so calming, so joyful, so hopeful, so beautiful…it ends on December 26. And we will be absolutely bereft. But then we can look forward to its starting all over again next year.🤗
Still love hearing Dean though, maybe have to dig out some Andy Williams too.
Many more Christmas tunes off of Blackmore’s Night Winter Carols (updated today), as well as an old standby, Mannheim Steamroller.
Aggiegirl, love the Jim Nabors too.
Merry Christmas to all…. and to all ….goodnight.
Mannheim Steamroller’s Christmas album is awesome. Thanks!
My dad never missed Dean’s weekly show…9 pm on Thursdays.
Christmas blessings to you, patty🙏🌲
Thank you Betsy. Christmas time is very nostalgic to me. I remember all the stores downtown would put up Christmas displays in their windows, many with trains running and lots of moving parts. EVERYONE would go downtown on Friday nights just to look at the Christmas decorations.
I loved the way the town decorated the streets with lights and such. The high schools’ art departments from all the high schools would paint all the fire hydrants like Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus – very cute. All the trash cans were painted to look like gifts. It was magical for kids.
You feel the same as I do. And like you, I remember the excitement of the Season when I was younger. It was a thrill for us all to pile into the car and experience the magic of those lights.
We have carried that tradition as best as we can forward to our three grands nearest us every Christmas. Started when they were little. But now they are 17 (twin lads) and 14 (their sister); so we figured they wouldn’t want to do it anymore. Boy were we wrong! So off we go again for our sojourn around the neighbourhoods to experience the magic again. They’ll soon fly the nest…have to make those memories while we can.
Memories like yours and mine are oh so precious. No price can be put upon them, can it?🤗🌲
It’s Caterday, Treepers. Sometimes you get the cat . . . but then, sometimes, the cat gets you . . . 🙂
So much truth in that, Garrison. Usually, when you “adopt” a cat from a shelter, you don’t choose which cat… the cat will actually choose you and make it quite clear.
I thought the video told a timeless story—two very good people find their very good kitty . . . and live happily ever after. At one time we had 7 kitties. All of ’em got along with each other (and us) and also with our two dogs. The kitties just thought the dogs were just funny looking cats. 🙂
😂😂😂😂😂
A silver point Siamese? Sooooo beautiful. They definitely choose you, especially when you think they need rescue. It is them who know that it is we, humans, that need the rescuing.
When our cat, Midge (a gorgeous rare Nebulung) passed away and broke my ever-loving heart into tiny pieces… we went on to find a little boy who needed a home. He was cobalt blue like Midgie, a Russian Blue. When I and my daughter, maybe 4 or 5 years old at the time, arrived on the scene… we found a very pregnant woman who had become mysteriously allergic to all her animals and was desperate to re-home them to loving people.
The Russian Blue was a given, as it was his image that brought us there. But we were either going to adopt him and Tulah the French Bulldog – or his brother cat litter mate Timothy – who was a blonde domestic shorthair. As we agonized over the decision, Timothy extended his little paw out the kennel and he grabbed onto me, and he held onto my finger. Sold! There was no way that Tim would be left behind! That was that.
Timothy is the faithful friend to my daughter going on his 13th year. They do everything together and are thicker than thieves.
Daniel chose me. He is the serious patriarch of all of us. Quiet. Resolute. Our fearless protector. Gentle and never demanded anything. He never cared for too much caressing or too big a fuss. Once protecting us against his litter mate brother when Tim went nuts over a dog we were babysitting and Tim attacked all of us. Daniel pressed him into the wall and held him off of us. We learned then that dogs were not allowed into our home. Not on Tim’s turf.
Now my Daniel is dying of ulcerative cancer. For the first time in his going on 13 years, he is peaceful on my lap for hours. He’s never wanted or taken such care. His meow sounds like he is saying “Mom”. My every day with him is a gift and I could not have imagined how very valued these boys have been over these most treacherous years. They’ve helped us keep peace here in our home and provided laughter, joy, and love beyond words.
Such very good boys. God’s getting a good one when he calls Daniel home… and I’ve asked Him to hold onto him for me when he passes on… and that Danny may meet me at the gate when it’s my turn.
There will be two left. Timothy who is still vibrant and playful and a 3 year old Harold, the Maine Coon spider hunter. That is all. No more pets. I’m getting older and my heart simply can’t handle their loss.
JWoo, I don’t think there’s much which is as heartbreaking as watching our beloved furry family members decline, knowing their lives are short and are coming to the end of them. We have done it too many times, and I am really feeling your sadness in the beautiful post you’ve written.
I’ve said this before, but since I don’t know if you saw it, I’ll repeat it. Be their lives long or short, I KNOW our much loved animals could have never had better lives…never. And when they moved on, it was the one thing we told ourselves which made their absence more bearable. I hope when the time comes, this one thought will be of comfort to you and your daughter. With love, Bet💕
Amen sister. We’ve given them good lives… and they’ve made our lives better.
A two way street it definitely is😘
Good Morning all!
The Arctic blast Joe Bastardi forecasted to hit between the 6th and 16th is about to pop! Europe first and then the US. Some of the models are starting to catch on now.

Though so far most of us have had a mild December, that is about to change for just about everyone in the US. The Canadian model is showing 20’s deep into Florida!

So, for a lot of us, this is the best chance of a white Christmas we have had in a long time.
rah, I enjoy your writing, but not the idea of a white Christmas. Southern farmers don’t need that.
Stay safe.
Like Joe Bastardi says: “Enjoy the weather. It’s the only weather you’ve got!” Up here in Indiana one thing I like about a super cold winter is that it knocks down the bugs one has to deal with the following spring.
Hi Rah,
Let’s do some kind of weather dance or something… MercyMe and Chris Tomlin awaits these girls in Dayton, OH. The plan is daughter home from school at 3:20 PM – we jump in the car and drive the 2 1/2 hours. Arrive at 6 PM, concert at 7 PM, hotel sleep for a few short hours and return NLT 7:30 AM to get the girl to school on time for FINALS WEEK. (She’ll sleep in the car.) I need a peaceful Tuesday and Wednesday.
Let’s PRAY FOR THAT!
Now, I know you being a trucker — this is old hat for you. I want your blessings and stamina!!! Just for a 24 hours, brother!
Driving in such conditions is never “old hat” I’m afraid.
That being said, I think your going to be ahead of it!
As for stamina? I have one word. Coffee!
Take heart! After the winter blast we are likely to see a warm up very early in the New Year!
Great for kids! ( of all ages 😀 ). Free download link is here:

So glad! Blessings back Betsy (like the alliteration?🙂).
Absolutely!!😁 I am a huge fan of alliteration…intentional or not! Bravo💕
…and thank you so much, my friend🤗

I know it’s Caturday but –
I’m all in for lovely animal stories like this, WP, Caturday or not. Thank you.
(I think my eyes are leaking…)
Awwwww…. me too!
I’m getting soft in my old age….
State Senator Scott Bennett died unexpectedly on Friday due to a brain tumor, his family said in a statement. Sen. Bennett, 45, died surrounded by his wife, family and loved ones at Carle Hospital in Urbana, his family said. He had been rushed to the hospital Thursday morning.
Trying hard to separate politics and this…having lost a loved one, the day after a Christmas, it does some strange things to one’s thoughts and emotions.
I offer the family condolences and prayers as even if expected, it is never easy.
I will save my contempt for politics and the Pritzker, for later. That is not easy, either. Am struggling with a hard heart, right now…not able to mention why, but I ask for prayers for my family—and my hardened heart.
Breath of heaven
So good. Loved the movie “I Can Only Imagine” and what Amy Grant did for Bart Mallard with MercyMe. Huge, huge fans. Talk about an imperfect start to a Divinely Perfect appointment. May we all find our Divine Purpose — broken pieces and all. (It’s our broken pieces that make us perfect.)
Prayer has been sent on your behalf.
Mine have been sent for them, my friend…and for you. I have no doubts every one will be heard.💕
Aggiegirl, prayers for a softened heart to come quickly, and peaceful resolutions are found.
Praying for God to comfort you and your family and to help you all thru this troubled time. I am praying most for the Lord to help you thru it all and to soften your heart and guide you thru everything. It is really difficult to release whatever is making the hardness in your heart but please keep your faith in God and he will help you get thru it all. Love and Prayers go out to you.
Prayers up, Aggiegirl.
Well done, Aggiegirl. Your compassion during this difficult time for their family honors God. Praying for you and yours for your comfort, resilience, and to go easy on yourself. I read a devotional today that we belong to the Lord and He loves us for all of our parts; even the parts we don’t love in ourselves. For your hardened heart, I pray it softened and that you can just rest in the Lord’s Arms – our Faithful Abba Father Who loves you, His perfect child. Psalm 139

The Offering of the Natural
It is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. —Galatians 4:22
Paul was not dealing with sin in this chapter of Galatians, but with the relation of the natural to the spiritual. The natural can be turned into the spiritual only through sacrifice. Without this a person will lead a divided life. Why did God demand that the natural must be sacrificed? God did not demand it. It is not God’s perfect will, but His permissive will. God’s perfect will was for the natural to be changed into the spiritual through obedience. Sin is what made it necessary for the natural to be sacrificed.
Abraham had to offer up Ishmael before he offered up Isaac (see Genesis 21:8-14). Some of us are trying to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God before we have sacrificed the natural. The only way we can offer a spiritual sacrifice to God is to “present [our] bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1). Sanctification means more than being freed from sin. It means the deliberate commitment of myself to the God of my salvation, and being willing to pay whatever it may cost.
If we do not sacrifice the natural to the spiritual, the natural life will resist and defy the life of the Son of God in us and will produce continual turmoil. This is always the result of an undisciplined spiritual nature. We go wrong because we stubbornly refuse to discipline ourselves physically, morally, or mentally. We excuse ourselves by saying, “Well, I wasn’t taught to be disciplined when I was a child.” Then discipline yourself now! If you don’t, you will ruin your entire personal life for God.
God is not actively involved with our natural life as long as we continue to pamper and gratify it. But once we are willing to put it out in the desert and are determined to keep it under control, God will be with it. He will then provide wells and oases and fulfill all His promises for the natural (see Genesis 21:15-19).
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
The great point of Abraham’s faith in God was that he was prepared to do anything for God.

Come home for Christmas 🎶
Beautiful, Spicy….saved (in more ways than one🙏💕)
Mornin’ all!
Dear Bet (NM!),
I’ve been thinking about your question regarding signing off on my post “with tears” the other day. So…
It seems like joy becomes more joyful, or complete, when you share it and that person enjoys the same wonder or feeling or thought, etc.
“Look at this beautiful sunrise!” “Have you ever tasted a better merlot?” “Look at the rack on this buck I just harvested.” So…
When I look at the America I live in and consider our sparkling beginnings…from the Mayflower Compact to the formation of our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc., I see a beautiful birth of a nation with God Himself , and godly principles being honored at our outset.
What a joy to see moral people banded together, enjoying life free from oppressive governments! But now…
But now I see a nation whose government confiscates our earnings to fund the training of transgenderism in our public schools; abortion, innumerable lesser evils…the actual training of our youth to flagrantly dishonor The Most High. So …how can I joyfully boast about my great nation?
My joy filled treasury consists of only one thing. Jesus Christ and Him crucified for sinners. So…
When I see my nation, my family, my neighbors, friends, snubbing the greatest Treasure I have, it makes my head wag.
One of the things that completes my joy is when you and others here taste and see what a wonderful Savior we have and boast of Him.
It gives me joy. Bone crushing joy. ✝️
Oh Frank….my dear brother…
How can I answer that beautiful, deeply felt post from you, my friend.
I remember the first post I ever saw which you placed here long ago. I wish I’d saved it.
You were speaking of your life in honest detail, then added
“But God…”
And I’ve never forgotten it.
This nation now has nothing to brag or be boastful about. It has not so much drifted away from God, but slammed the door in His Holy Face. Perhaps seeing it daily and especially during this Season of Expectation is the reason I am so tearful recently. Per “America The Beautiful”, is His Grace still shining on us? A question I ask from time to time…I don’t know.
But I know also that for me, as with you, Almighty God is patient and loving and forgiving. He has not locked the door. In fact there is no lock on the door which this country and too many people (so many churches included) have closed.
This Christmas we in this house both have one precious gift that we focus on. We don’t need any other. God kept His promise. Our Lord and Saviour arrives, His purpose to become the propitiation for our sins. So precious this costly Gift from God.
Each one of us is an inn who decides if we have room for Jesus. I pray that those who say they do not, are moved to reconsider…and will, one by one, experience your bone crushing joy, my dear friend. What a Christmas that would be! All that needs to be done is to open the door….
Your reply to me has lifted my heart…thank you, Frank…with love (and a few tears) BNM🙏😘
I might add, that post I read of yours was also the first time I “ran into ” Solomon. I remember that as well…miss him dreadfully…
BTW, Solomon says Hi, dear sister.
And now my day is PERFECT!!! (uh oh….leaky eyes again…but a full heart. I keep him constantly in my prayers along with everyone else here. Thanks for the message, my dear friend. Please send him my love💕)
Great representatives of the modern species of “climate protestors”. They glued themselves to the rail on the podium of the conductor of an orchestra about to perform to try and interrupt the performance.
The guards simply removed the railing and walked them out as the crowd cheered. And there they are!
Guess what the cyanoacrylate (superglue) they used and the plastic in the safety vests they are wearing was made from!
I am personally okay with them gluing themselves to whatever.
I am opposed to anyone who removes the glue.
Let the insects adhere to the fly traps.
I too am perfectly ok with it as long as I can drive on and act like they aren’t there. And yes, I mean on the roads too!
That is except when they damage or destroy precious works of art as they have done in Europe now more than once. Then I say LOCKEM UP and fine them for the appraised value of the piece damaged or destroyed.
Wonderful interview by archaeologist Joel Kramer…
The Lord is so good and so great! There are just no words!
God Bless all you wonderful Treepers!
Loved it! Never knew this. Thanks very much for posting.
I am so happy you watched it WP! He is a believer and grew up in Saudi Arabia, had a mission to reach Mormons in Utah, went to school in Israel and now lives in Jordan with his wife and kids. He has a book called where God Came Down. God Bless you and a very Merry Christmas to you!!!!
You do know that Mormons have scripture that Joseph Smith claimed to translate from metal, which includes a story of Jews keeping scriptures on metal who left Jerusalem shortly before it was destroyed by Babylon, and somehow traveled to the Americas, created societies, some following those Jewish scriptures, being visited by Christ after his resurrection, and when their society collapsed, abridged their story, recording it on metal.
So, did he hear about this proof that Jews wrote scriptures on metal before or after he went to convince people that believe Jews wrote scripture on metal that their Christian beliefs need to be corrected?
From a different perspective, there are a lot of academics who believe all those scriptures were written after the Jews returned from captivity. Some say made up out of whole cloth, some say stitching together several different traditions. This proves that a couple of those scriptures existed hundreds of years before Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the temple. Rules out making everything up out of whole cloth, but still leaves stitching together as plausible.
That was really interesting! And dr barkei (sp?) has a good sense of humor; joel kramer is a good ‘explainer’ too ( for us layman).
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Thank you! Prayers for you, loved of GOD!
60 seconds isn’t enough for you, duchess, or any of our family in these branches . Bless you for these beautiful Scriptures with their stunt by backgrounds.😘
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

yes you know and how do we help everyone? we have to help everyone when the meltdown begins, when they start to kill us and there is no site that we will ever get help….
rah, this story has angered me as no other. I don’t know what I’d do if I were the parents. I saw this a few days ago, and have since stumbled on it elsewhere. And each time I’ve cried my eyes out.
May those who have demanded it and those who ordered it never get a moment’s peace again. Monsters.

Hey Treeps. Is it just me or is World Cup Soccer more effective than Ambien for those who suffer from sleep deprivation?
Is there a more boring, morose sport in the galaxy?
Confidential sources have told me that Earth was kicked out of the Planet of The Year Pageant for 2022 because it was the birthplace of soccer.
If this is true, it’s a just and quite fitting ruling.
Don’t know! Never watch it. Watching Golf however, I have found to be an excellent way to get to sleep.
Unless you’re watching Robin Williams “Invention of Golf”… that’s HILARIOUS
Screaming Eagle, I must confess. Before I moved to the UK, it appealed to me not one bit. However it is a sport which grew on me. Except for the melodramatic fake “injury” falls…
But I enjoy it only when there are cup finals. We cut the cord so I have not been able to watch any of the matches. My British husband thinks it’s shameful to win on kicks at the end if there is a tie….but it is rather exciting I think. Such is one woman’s opinion.
Using, having, or wanting Law as one’s or one’s country’s backstop or foundation is lower than not having Law at all. Law frames minimal protections and can never encompass reason, right, the necessary structure for civil society.
Perversion pervades our country, not just in recent years, but since the beginning. A nation with the Rule of Law can never stand righteous, nor can one based on any religion, for neither Law nor Religion are by themselves, or together, fit to guide people in their lives.
Law and Religion are vaporous approximations created by Man to control their fellow man.

I was lucky to see a few of these over the years during spring migration. One of the last Warbler species to come through and is usually found skulking on the ground by itself or with 1 or 2 others. Mourning Warbler.
He’s so lovely, Colkitto. Almost iridescent. I trust you have a very good set of binoculars?
