Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

It is good to learn the lesson and heed the warning of Matthew 7:13-14 to “enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” Doing so appears to call for individuals to accept God’s offer of reconciliation through Jesus Christ according to the gospel message. Though the gate is narrow, Romans 6:23 indicates that “eternal life in Christ Jesus” is a “gift,” which coincides with the call in Revelation 22:17 to “take freely the water of life.”
Those contemplating may take comfort in God’s abundant mercy, as we consider Matthew 19:25-26: “And the disciples having heard were exceedingly astonished, saying, “Who then is able to be saved?” And Jesus having looked on them, said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Reading 1 Timothy 2:4, God “desires all men to be saved and to come to theknowledge of the truth,” and from 2 Peter 3:9, is “not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance.” It seems comforting to see how those delivered are also called “a great multitude, which no one was able to number it”
Revelation 7:9 — “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no one was able to number it, out of every nation, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.”

From advertisement on Truth Social. Thought-provoking chart.
And they will be partners with those who are working hard to alter what we are “allowed” to eat.
It is ESSENTIAL, where possible, to start reading the labels on the foods we buy.
Example: I wanted a box of Rice Krispies. I read the contents, which included this…”Contains Bioengineered Food Products”…in very small print. No explanation of what those might be or what effects they would have on those consuming them.
I put that box down and bought instead the Walmart Great Value generic ones. No such “Bioengineered Food Products” in them. If anything, they are much tastier and a LOT cheaper.
PLEASE! Friends of and in this Tree…START READING YOUR LABELS!!🙏
Grow yer own, only then do you really know whats in it.
In an ideal world…
“I put that box down and bought instead the Walmart Great Value generic ones.”
Unfortunately from my 10 years of servicing forklifts and seeing inside various facilities including food manufacturing, you can never be sure about the origins of a product.
One of the things that sorta scared me when I first started servicing forklifts for customers on site, is that whatever product that they make is not the brand name on the product.
They make a product…. there may or may not be a variation in said product, they have multiple lines that the products get routed to and each line packages it in a different labeled box / bag.
Its the same thing…in a different box…..different brand….wildly different price based on brand, blew my mind that it is happening.
The most egregious example was a bagel manufacturer, every brand name that I knew of(including one that I formerly ate), 2 packaging lines, one for frozen bagel, one for fully baked and ready to eat.
Only the name of the bag changed, there might have been slight differences but I doubt it as they all seem to have the same flavor variations.
Not a single person that spoke English other than the maintenance contact person to tell me what/where the forklift was.
It was quitting time for him and I asked who do I get to sign my paperwork when I got it fixed and he told me.
“If they look like they speak English, they are probably the manager.”
This scenario pretty much repeats everywhere, we really didn’t service any for the really big guys as most of those have there own in house maintenance personnel, occasionally we would get a call from an outside contractor that was doing work for one of those brand name big guys to work on their equipment that they were using there that broke down.
I only had the pleasure of going into one of those scenarios, was a dairy operation, huge place not sure what they made but more than one dairy product I’m guessing, place reeked of very outdated milk. I only saw where they were changing / adding a line.
Long story short, I now only eat what I prepare for the most part, from the raw state to my plate.
Oatmeal is a good cereal; contains oatmeal; can add you own local honey. Don’t buy anything that has more than 2-3 items. Peanut butter should contain only peanuts. Grits contains only corn grits; add you own cheese or shrimp. Eat real food and not a bowl of chemicals.
Kelloggs–left wing city
Appropriately initialed G(eneral) M(ills) is one that has who knows what in their cereals (Cherrios… again, Walmart generic Honey Cheerios do not, and are way cheaper and just as good if not better).
Also Old El Paso has the designation on their chalupa shells. I haven’t looked at the rest of their products, but will do the next shopping trip I make.
Probably genetically modified to work with roundup? That would be mu guess as to what they mean by “Bioengineered” but that description is so vague, it reeks of soylent green.
There is an app…YUK if I remember rightly which will tell you what bioengineered ingredients for each product that have them are and the effects eating them will possibly occur. Appropriately named, do you not think?

I love Donald J. Trump.
I know. I feel better listening to him. Reassured. He is one fearless man.
We have to all become fearless, in the name of God. It is the only way to preserve what we have been given, and to pass those blessings forward.
What a mighty nation we became, with so many backgrounds, and we overcame obstacles both foreign and domestic.
The U.S.A. must continue forward as the best example of free nations on earth. Make America Great Again.
This song, “Cages”, is something I just recently came across. I’m not known for holding in my opinions, and it has been a long time since I was an adolescent struggling to fit in and out on appearances.
But this touched my heart ad it applies to so many, many situations
“Cages”
wow. Powerful and right on the money.
Also came across this and loved the message of this MAGA immigrant who expresses my own outlook so well:
Outstanding reply to “Not All There” Joe’s “MAGA Republicans are a threat to democracy” speech or as President Trump described it, “the most vicious, hateful and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president.”
WOW! Why hasn’t this gone viral? (Twister suppression, I know.)
Keep the faith, and spread the messages of truth.
Well said, sir.

As many of you know my wife suffers from the advanced stages of Alzheimers. She has recently lost the ability to support herself, even with my help, and so she’s now bedridden. Alzheimer’s is a brain disease and over time works to destroy critical portions of the human brain. Over the last 2-3 years my once vivacious and articulate wife of almost 55 years has declined as this insidious disease inexorably advanced. The final or end-stage of Alzheimer’s occurs when multiple symptoms cascade to ultimately shut down the body. Sometimes the heart forgets to beat, sometimes breathing just stops. The end-stage experience is highly variable because the disease isn’t perfectly linear. My wife, for instance, cannot speak yet a few days ago when I asked her an important question she answered with a short but full sentence. Then she was quiet again. Last week when her body forgot how to walk it was like a switch was turned off.
As my wife, the love of my life’s, world has become ever smaller, so has my own. I’ve been her caregiver for almost 2 decades now. But, suddenly I’ve had to face the hard fact that I’m rather old for the job and need help. Our Dr. of some 30 years suggested that I ask a home hospice company to provide critical assistance. This past week I’ve been having home visits by nurses, social workers, a company chaplin—all of who, despite my reservations, have turned out to be quite nice and highly competent.
Both the hospice nurses and a physician friend feel that my wife’s condition indicates that she will sooner, rather than later pass away. I accept their opinions because I can see my wife slowly slipping away a little more each day now. I want her passage to be gentle and I want it to be at home in familiar surroundings. Hospice will be there when that happens.
Today I thought about what it will be like to miss having her around. I will, of course, miss her presence in my life. But I will also know that she will be with Our Lord and that isn’t something I will be sad about. Our Lord loves us and when we die He welcomes us to our new home with Him. Be well, Treepers, and always know that Our Lord is watching over us.
May the Good Lord bless and comfort the both of you. In our prayers always.
Thanks, Jay. 🙂
You were indeed fortunate to have found each other. Rest easy Garrison.
Yes, indeed fortunate for those years. Many cannot ever find such love and commitment.
Such a shame when that is lost, but there is always the option to be thankful and grateful for such a love.
Garrison, I wish you all the comfort and wisdom God can provide. You cannot change your circumstances, but there are many of us who will pray for you.
I’ve not heard anything negative about hospice.
I can’t imagine how people who don’t know Him get through these trials.
Best of thoughts for you.
Praying for you and your wife Garrison, and that the hospice team can help you with your needs.God blessings to you.
Mr. Hall, thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, gently wrap you, and your lovely wife of 55 years, in HIS quiet embrace during this time of ‘unknowing’.
A virtual hug from me to you garrison .

I truly appreciate you sharing the journey that you have been on with your dear wife. You realize that you have a godly, supportive, caring community of friends here. You trusted us with intimate and profound details of your life with your wife.
You have told us that she is close to entering the vestibule of Heaven. You have secured good and compassionate care for her, and you are ever-faithful by her side. In sickness and in health…you made a promise to her over 54 years ago, and you have kept it. The Lord entrusted her care to you.
God has your right hand in His.
I will pray for you and your wife.
I watched my mother decline through the years with that terrible disease. We lost her two and 1/2 years ago. If there was ever a mortal angel that walked the earth, she was it.
Hang in there, Garrison. May God bless you and your wife. Enjoy what time you have left with her. Alzheimer’s is a very insidious disease.
My wife has been bedridden in a nursing home for the past 3 years. Multiple strokes. I don’t know how much longer she’ll be around. She can barely talk, but recognizes me and holds my hand when I visit her.
Dear Joe…your wife’s health problems are something you’ve never mentioned, except peripherally. We are not nosey people so I have not asked but suspected they were serious. I am so sorry. But I am glad you have told us, so as one, we can offer our prayers for her…and for you, my friend. Which I know we all do with heartfelt supplication. Bless you and her, Joe. We are always here….🙏
Thanx, Bet. She seems to be doing ok most of the time; she’s diabetic and has some other health issues. The nurses are monitoring her blood sugars and administering pain medication on an as needed basis (prn). I dread the phone calls when the charge nurses contact me. Usually it’s a change in medication or some type of topical treatment. She took a bad fall a couple of years ago and has spent a few nights in ICU (another stroke happened and then the fall).
She lit up like a Christmas tree when I walked into her room after the covid restrictions were lifted and family members were able to visit.
Hey. We got more rain here in my area. Lightning and thunder. Quite the show when it was still dark earlier this morning.
Part of the unforgivable crimes committed in the last two years was this restriction of or denial of the loving visits from family to patients who so desperately needed them. Nothing more than cruelty for the sake of it. Such visits add everything to recovery. I will never understand it…ever. So I am overjoyed those hideous inhumane rules have been eliminated, and that you can show up whenever you can manage it. God bless you both, Joe.
So glad you finally got some rain. For me there is nothing like hearing that booming, seeing the flashes, some of which reach across the sky, and seeing those first drops hit the ground, a dot here and there, increasing until you can actually near that the full impact is coming. When we finally received that mana from heaven, we stood in the garage and literally heard and watched it come in. We even stood out in it for a bit. Glorious!!
One of our twin 17 year old grandlads who is just like me in the love of those dark rainy days actually texted me from school when it started raining and said “Rain! I’d rather be at home for this, but I’ll take it.”
Here’s hoping cooler temperatures will come with it, as they have for us. Still hot but not unendurable. Blessings to you, my friend, and to your much loved wife…and all your furry companions as well.💖
Garrison I fully understand your emotions. I was primary caregiver for my wife during he battle with lung cancer.. a two and a half year “journey” from diagnosis to her passing two years ago. When her condition deteriorated, we together decided that home hospice would be best for her. The hospice people were caring, compassionate and extremely helpful.. both to her and to me. There is little I can give you in the way of advice, given that each person’s situation is different as is the progression of their disease. I know you will love her unconditionally, you already are doing that. Let the hospice people help you in that.. let them remove at least some of the pressure you feel to do so much for your wife. Your words and actions with her are critical… even when she doesn’t or can’t acknowledge them… she DOES hear you. But don’t forget to care for yourself as well… that’s what the hospice can do as well as providing her care which you aren’t equipped to provide.
Bless you, Garrison and hang in there. You have the prayers and thoughts of so many… in your home community and here as well
🙏 🙏 🙏 for both of you!!!
God Bless – Angels Watching Over You – 🧚🧚🧚. ❤️❤️❤️
Dearest Garrison, my heart has broken for you both. I know that it took everything for you to write what you have. You have opened the door for us to come in to the most sorrowful time for you, and in doing so we…all of us… wrap our arms around you.
You have shared with us that the Lord, our God, is with you, and with her…and I said yesterday to you of this I have no doubt. And with you both He will remain as she takes the next step of her journey into His eternal loving care.
I am so glad that you are now being assisted by hospice workers, whose compassion among medical people today seems to be a rarity. For this I give thanks. They will treat her with the dignity she deserves until such time as Almighty God holds out His hand for her to take and says that it is time to come home, as will happen for all of us.
Our loving God has blessed you both with each other. You are not alone, never alone. And as I wrap my arms around you, my friend, so do I with my prayers always. With great concern and affection. Bet 🙏
May the Lord surround you with his love and protection to give you strength and peace in the days to come. In my prayers daily.

Prayers for you and your family, thanks for sharing.
Praying for you and your bride Garrison. It is hardest on those left behind. What sweet victory that through our Lord Jesus Christ we overcome death to an eternity with no more pain, no more suffering, no more tears. Until our own races are won and we are reunited with them in Heavenly Perfection. I pray The Lord’s Arms surround you and bring you peace. Big hugs from Central Indiana.
Dear Garrison,
Thank you for sharing you heart with us. Our sufferings and trials are not just for or about us; they’re for everyone who has a part in them, family, friends, person in the checkout line. Our pain gives us opportunities to give glory to our great God when we share how good He is in the darkest hours.
How we feel His presence more when the thought of having to draw one more breath is overwhelming. How He’s right there, waiting for that moment when we say “enough,” “no more.” Then He lifts us up and “sets our feet on the rock.” He fills us with His strength that comes from His joy. He reminds us that “He was a man of sorrows and acquaintanced with grief.”
He holds all of our tears in a bottle. One day there will no no more tears.
May He infuse you and your wife with such joy and the peace that is beyond our comprehension. In His Precious, Mighty Name. Amen.
Tough day here at the treehouse. Blessings and prayers Garrison.
I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks for everyone’s kind words. When life hits a rough spot talking to friends—both individually and as a group—really means a lot. It especially means a lot when, of necessity (one of the unfortunate realities of being a sole caregiver) you are gripped by long-term isolation.
Awhile back several of us old-timers came to the mutual conclusion that we have something special here. We began speaking of the “Treehouse Church”. In the truest sense of the word that’s what we have.
Be well, everyone. And, again, I can’t thank you enough for your kind words.
It is a church,Garrison, in every sense. The doors are always open, never closed. There is room in the congregation for all. And Almighty God is present amongst us. There are just somethings we know with certainty. And that is one.😘🙏
In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge…..Aristotle.Be blessed amigo.
God bless both of you, Garrison, and also the Hospice team attending to the growing care needs of your beloved. I pray that the road ahead will go as easily as is possible – for both of you.
This is a good time to thank you for all the wonderful posts of beautiful music that you contribute here on this thread.
One piece or another is always playing as I scroll through the prayers and comments of our mutual friends in this wonderful Treehouse.
We carry you both in our hearts.
May that which lies ahead be peaceful, and may Our Almighty Lord God comfort you with His love and strength.
Garrison, others here have expressed sentiments very much like my thoughts so I won’t need to say much.
You seem to have your priorities well-sorted. God Bless the both of you, and bring you peace.

His!
They were Yours, You gave them to Me… —John 17:6
A missionary is someone in whom the Holy Spirit has brought about this realization: “You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19). To say, “I am not my own,” is to have reached a high point in my spiritual stature. The true nature of that life in actual everyday confusion is evidenced by the deliberate giving up of myself to another Person through a sovereign decision, and that Person is Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit interprets and explains the nature of Jesus to me to make me one with my Lord, not that I might simply become a trophy for His showcase. Our Lord never sent any of His disciples out on the basis of what He had done for them. It was not until after the resurrection, when the disciples had perceived through the power of the Holy Spirit who Jesus really was, that He said, “Go” (Matthew 28:19; also see Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:8).
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:26). He was not saying that this person cannot be good and upright, but that he cannot be someone over whom Jesus can write the word Mine. Any one of the relationships our Lord mentions in this verse can compete with our relationship with Him. I may prefer to belong to my mother, or to my wife, or to myself, but if that is the case, then, Jesus said, “[You] cannot be My disciple.” This does not mean that I will not be saved, but it does mean that I cannot be entirely His.
Our Lord makes His disciple His very own possession, becoming responsible for him. “…you shall be witnesses to Me…” (Acts 1:8). The desire that comes into a disciple is not one of doing anything for Jesus, but of being a perfect delight to Him. The missionary’s secret is truly being able to say, “I am His, and He is accomplishing His work and His purposes through me.”
Be entirely His!

Is He going to help Himself to your life, or are you taken up with your conception of what you are going to do? God is responsible for our lives, and the one great keynote is reckless reliance upon Him.

Good morning all. Have a blessed Sunday. Mine will not be spent resting. This afternoon I will be working to remove the old dishwasher to get ready to receive the new one on Friday which I will install when my schedule allows. Probably next weekend.
Hah, rah!
Today I r&r’d a window a/c, with a new dual inverter a/c.
So, despite the heat, I actually DID something.
I have been on summer hiatus, not doing any projects unless essential.
A monthvago our freezer died, so had to replace it before all the foid spoiled, and then this month, the a/c.
by mid Sept I will have to get back on the horse again, it gets harder every year, and one year its just not going to be possible.
There are some things we keep doing but they just take longer and maybe a little more thought about how we are going to do them to make it easier on our aging bodies. One thing is for sure. Getting old ain’t for sissies.
Hardest thing for my husband to admit and to adjust for…he always has been active and productive…realizing that age takes it toll. He will not go gently into that good night. But in spite of breathing problems, he gets on with what he can, especially if its something our daughter nearest or her three need.
The other day he installed new horns in our grandlad’s 2003 Jeep which had failed its inspection. Getting to them was fiddly and difficult but it needed doing and the cost to have it done was prohibitive.
I salute all the guys here who will not give up or give in. All y’all be careful and stay safe!🤗
🙂
And yes, my friend, you are amongst those I tip my metaphorical hat to. I’m glad to see you here on the Lord’s day.😘
Hope you are not too disappointed in the new one. Still wish we had out 45 year old Whirlpool
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

friend of ours who has lives on his sailboat last 40 years just back from Mexico and will return next week. he says US culture crazy while Mexico not so much. he had to go to doctor while in Mazatlan. bill was $3.
Good morning (still here anyway), merrie.
I have read many comments from those who are happily settled in Mexico, and who have talked about how much cheaper almost everything is. Obviously not controlled by big anything…corporations, pharma etc. What a nice life he has.
Britain has an extensive network of canals, and there are many, many who live in their long canal boats on them. I’ve seen the interiors of some and they are just gorgeous with all the comforts of a house but smaller…cosier. Plus the benefit of upping sticks when the mood strikes and moving on to another location. Stepping off to shop for the necessaries, then back on.
Once when my husband and I were “antiquing” in Nantwich, England one Sunday, we had to walk along their canal where there were quite a few boats moored. It was early and quiet, and we thought they were tourist boats.
I was curious to see the inside of one and so I bent down to peep in the window of one beautiful rig. I was having a good ole look around. It was stunning.
But then to my absolute horror, my eyes fell onto a pair of pajama-ed legs and slippered feet. Oh dear!!!! I quickly stopped snooping, hoping he didn’t see me being a real time Gladys Kravitz looking into his home. Pretty certain I wasn’t caught by the man enjoying his peaceful Sunday morning reading his paper. PHEW!
I’ll bet your friend is one of the most peaceful people you know, living on the water as he does. Good for him. Blessings, merrie.
as I type this he is on his way out to our farm. his wife was a native klinkat from british columbia. I have clam chowder, crusty bread, light salad and pralines nearly ready. he just got in yesterday and is adjusting to his land legs. his boat, Firewater, is 32′ long and my husband states it needs a good cleaning and the clearance makes my husband have to duck as he is much taller than Richard.
Oh how delicious! Yum!! I hope you all have a wonderful time…good friends, good food, and good conversation and catching up. What could be better? Simple pleasures really are the best🤗
