Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Perfect, Garrison. Just what I need to shut down the day and get some good ole shut eye. Blessings to you, my friend.🤗
I hope so, Betsy. There’s just so much happening that it all gets a little overwhelming. It all makes me want to pull back and just contemplate for awhile. Thomas Newman seems a good way to support that. Enjoy . . . 🙂
When I saw what you had selected I had a very strong feeling by that was the reason. I am in the same place. And I’m very grateful for your choices.
🙂
As always, this composer you introduced to many of us, this music calms the savage beast. Even the one named perdition is beautiful. Music for contemplation.
Music takes us out of ourselves.
🙂
Literal translation from Newman’s “Any other name”
“In Love.. to my life Chris the part of my heart that I have always missed was you. Do you believe in a fate? Or a simple coincidence? What do you believe in? It’s love… undoubtedly. With each passing day.. every hour… life for every little moment with you I realize that I have found a way that leads me directly to my love. Since I know them I live in a dream and do not want to wake up. I love you.”

My face is certainly focused there. I think we don’t look up enough. Blessings to you, John.🙏
“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.”

“I wish it need not have happened in my time”, said Frodo.
”So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us”.
much wisdom from Tolkien – who lived in another time in which the world watched evil grow.
Good morning, Rileytrips💖 He did indeed. He was, as I think I’ve mentioned before, the great good friend of CS Lewis, who Lewis credits with having been such a part of his return to Anglicanism at the age of 32. So much wisdom. We could say exactly the same today.
Many of us are saying the same thing today. ^^^
Friends here will recognize the following passage that I’ve borrowed and taped to my refrigerator, in the hope that the passers-by will stop what they’re doing, and connect the dots…
First we overlook evil.
Then we permit evil.
Then we legalize evil.
Then we promote evil.
Then we celebrate evil.
Then we persecute those who still call it evil.
Permit me to add:
Then we prosecute, convict, and punish those who still call it evil.

Dear Lord, we know that the timing is yours alone to determine.
So we wait, we watch, and we pray.
Thank you for your multitude of blessings upon us.
Please bless me, mine, and everyone here with the courage that will be required as these “interesting times” advance.
In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray.
Thank you, warrprin1. You know how people may say that there is an atmosphere. Perhaps we can’t point to something specifically. It’s just an all consuming miasma.
I have been sensing for a few months now, but in particular over the last one (reading posts, noticing the absence of names I’ve had good conversations with) that there is an uneasy state within our community here.
Your prayer is moving. And mine include so much of what you wrote, especially the giving thanks for the blessings he has bestowed; but more recently the prayer that He give me the courage to face whatever is hurtling toward us at lightning speed. I’ve connected so many dots that sometimes I think I’m seeing spots.
We can but try to inform others, or at least provide the information (available to all who are willing to view it). Some will never understand. More will dismiss it out of hand. You are a true patriot, warrpin, and I do thank you so much for your lovely reply, and your heartfelt prayer.
It is said that it’s always darkest before the dawn. So we must keep our focus on the eternal Light which that darkness will never comprehend…the Light, which evil seeks to extinguish that will finally obliterate the darkness. May all His many blessings be with you, sir.B
I feel I must add this, rereading my post. By “uneasy state within our community here”, I am referring to the state of the way things are in this unfamiliar world we have all in this country been forced to reside in. We all sense things are unnatural and wrong. We who comment on every thread of this bless-ed site instinctively as well and overtly feel this.
(end of clarification)
Amen
Trying to get to sleep…can’t…so I’m talking to the Shepherd with this remembered prayer from my childhood.
Day by day,
Dear Lord, these three things I pray.
To see thee more clearly,
Nothing more dearly,
Follow thee more nearly.
Day by day.
Amen. Sweet dreams to one and all.🙏
I remember, too!
Here is what I found:
A prayer ascribed to the 13th-century English bishop Saint Richard of Chichester:
May I know Thee more clearly,
Love Thee more dearly,
Follow Thee more nearly.
The song in the musical Godspell follows more closely the wording in Hymn 429 of the 1940 Hymnal:
Day by day,
Dear Lord, of thee three things I pray:
To see thee more clearly, Love thee more dearly, Follow thee more nearly,
Day by day.
From the 1973 film:
Oh thank you, aDoozy! How splendid to see your reply. The prayer I placed above was actually a small meditative hymn which we would sing during services when I was much younger than Godspell..much younger😉. And as I never saw it, I am so glad you posted that link.Thank you! I find when events overwhelm, as they have been doing and as Garrison above noted for himself, some times small simple prayers are the ones where the most peace can be found. Blessings to you, aDoozy.
A beloved old favorite… Haven’t heard it in years. Thank you. It helps.
I’m so glad.💖
Good morning Betsy. Here’s hoping that when you arise, it is from a deep nurturing slumber. Have a wonderful day. Cheers!
Good morning, Levi. Up and ready to see what the day brings. A cup of restorative tea and this lovely thread, among friends. What could be better? All God’s blessings to you, my fellow branch dweller🙏💖
Good morning Bet, hope you got enough sleep last night. 😁❤️
Good morning, G. Enough, thank you. You know what they say about age…the older you get, the less sleep you need. I’m there!!l😘
Good morning Levi! Praying we all enjoy the Lord’s blessings today. Meh we witness a lot of sand in the ds machinery.
Cheers mate!
Maiden Mhaith Betsy, we’re finally getting some dry weather for a few days in the NW. Blessings upon your house. 😎💐
Bora da, jay!! Oh good! A chance to dry out. I visited Eugene, OR decades ago. I think it rained every day I was there. Very similar to my beloved Wales in many respects. Ours here is good old Texas humid. And so it goes. May all His grace rest with you today.🙏🤗💖
Do you like science? I love science! Let’s explore the usage of the scientific method, shall we?
You need two cell phones and aluminum foil. Here’s the control part. Call one cell phone with the other. Did it work? Good! That is your baseline.
Now, wrap the cell phone that was called with aluminum foil. Call that cell phone again. When I did it the cell phone received the call, as before. When I wrapped the cell phone, I put the cell phone on the aluminum foil and wrapped the cell phone. The aluminum foil raised a little in the air after I wrapped it so there was some air gaps to the cell phone. If I had taped down the foil then there would have been no air gaps caused by the foil rising into the air.
What I did next was to put another layer of aluminum foil around the cell phone so that there were no air gaps to the phone. Now, I tried calling it and the cell phone did not receive the call. I called it repeatedly with the same effect of no reception of incoming calls.
I carefully removed the aluminum foil – so that it can be used again because they are pretty darn expensive <- Biden did that! – and the cell phone successfully received the incoming call.
Using the scientific method is fun for all.
I tried that some time ago. It did block calls but texts came through with no problem.
OK gang I wanted to pass this along because it seems a very good info. source. There are tons of folks with you-tube channels on all kinds of subjects like the economy or politics or prepping and sort of ” thrifty ” shopping and cooking stuff. Many are good and some are very ” click-bait ” headlines.
This one guy called – Southern Prepper One , is a bit different. He has a large following and readers send him tips and reports about what they are seeing all across the country. He never reveals the tipsters names or where they work but just sticks to the relevant information. A shortage here. An event there that was not in the news. Info from all these many sources ( even if it is hearsay ) paints a very BROAD picture. You may find it helpful. Check him out.
Good morning sparrow. Thanks for sharing, appreciate the direction. Just listened to his supply chain problems edition. It all fits with what I continue to here from my friends still in the work world. Link below for anyone else.
Mornin’ , yes he seems genuine. I’ll be watching for his viewers reports 🙂

Good morning Magic. When you have sunshine on a rainy day you are no doubt smiling and happy. No better way to go through life. Cheers!
Don’t fall for the fake sunshine. Did him in at the age of 50.

The Staggering Question
He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” —Ezekiel 37:3
Can a sinner be turned into a saint? Can a twisted life be made right? There is only one appropriate answer— “O Lord God, You know” (Ezekiel 37:3). Never forge ahead with your religious common sense and say, “Oh, yes, with just a little more Bible reading, devotional time, and prayer, I see how it can be done.”
It is much easier to do something than to trust in God; we see the activity and mistake panic for inspiration. That is why we see so few fellow workers with God, yet so many people working for God. We would much rather work for God than believe in Him. Do I really believe that God will do in me what I cannot do? The degree of hopelessness I have for others comes from never realizing that God has done anything for me. Is my own personal experience such a wonderful realization of God’s power and might that I can never have a sense of hopelessness for anyone else I see? Has any spiritual work been accomplished in me at all? The degree of panic activity in my life is equal to the degree of my lack of personal spiritual experience.
“Behold, O My people, I will open your graves…” (Ezekiel 37:12). When God wants to show you what human nature is like separated from Himself, He shows it to you in yourself. If the Spirit of God has ever given you a vision of what you are apart from the grace of God (and He will only do this when His Spirit is at work in you), then you know that in reality there is no criminal half as bad as you yourself could be without His grace. My “grave” has been opened by God and “I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells” (Romans 7:18). God’s Spirit continually reveals to His children what human nature is like apart from His grace.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
There is no allowance whatever in the New Testament for the man who says he is saved by grace but who does not produce the graceful goods. Jesus Christ by His Redemption can make our actual life in keeping with our religious profession.
Good morning FC. Hope you are looking at a glorious day. God bless. Cheers!
Morning FC 😊💐
Good Morning everybody 🙋♀️
FYI, I appeared to be battling the funk stages of life at the moment. Soooo
I think it’s best I occasionally post to you guys right now and enjoy lurking more. Wouldn’t be nice to spread the contagion! I cherish you all. Keep having happy, love filled, blessed days, my friends ❤️
Hi, Cat. The best advice I can give is to just wait. It gets better. Be well. 🙂
No worries, Cat…I’m sorry you’re in a place like that, but I’m unsurprised given the loss you’ve experienced. Would it help in some small way to know that many, myself being one, are experiencing the same thing, though for various other reasons? See Garrison above.
You are one of life’s givers, Cat. This is clear to all of us. Sometimes the better part of valour is simply to withdraw and regroup. To feed and nourish your inner self, restock your spiritual pantry. You are wise. Almighty God will be with you during your sabbatical, as I’ll think of it. There is no better companion. But this you know.
My prayers for you are constant and unremitting. Check in when you feel like it, never stop lurking, and know friends here surround you with devotion and love. Your branch will be kept clean and tidy, just as we keep the branches of others who for the moment are elsewhere. With much affection, my dear friend.💓Bet
You said it again Bet, better than anyone else could. I’ll just join you.
Thank you, G😘 Really feeling it for her.
Hi Betsy, just one reminder about my branch please….leave mungrel’s scratches there, please. They’re good reminders to me of good times. 😉 ❤️
Hi grandpa, parichute, Solomon, Leenie, jay, 1530, whistling (where’s whistling?), Lonestar, magic, ms Idaho and Garrison,et al. 🙋♀️ gee I remember when I couldn’t remember any of your names. I’m improving ☺️ that’s cause you all leave a sweet impression on folks like me. I’ll be watching you all, you better keep us lurkers smiling, it’s those posts that mean oh so much and you’ll never be the wiser how much your posts impact everyday people 💋 😉
Special shout out to ms Idaho for a new earworm ☺️
Touch those scatches??? NEVER!!! They are reminders of a friend who I hope still lurks and perhaps, if able, upvotes, and knows without question he is loved and most definitely thought of and prayed for every single day. Rest assured, Cat, I will stand guard, boomerang in hand (I’ve actually become pretty adept using it 😉) 😘 LBT
Hope I can interject. I don’t usually read this thread but did today and saw Mungrel’s name mentioned. I haven’t seen him on the open thread for awhile. Does anyone know what happened to him that he doesn’t comment anymore? Thanks!
Without abusing my position as a guest in this Treehouse, I’ll just say he no longer comments here, liberty. Blessings..stay, lurk and/or comment if you feel moved to do so. This thread is my favourite, filled with some really lovely folks.😊
Thanks, Betsy! I apologize if my question put you on the spot; that certainly wasn’t intended!!! Thanks for your response and invitation!!!
It didn’t, liberty, not at all. I don’t mean to be cryptic, just circumspect . You are so welcome. Please do not worry about asking the question. I’m sure there are many who are wondering. Blessings to you💓
That’s right, Betsy. There’s always plenty of love, support and kindness here at this branch of the Treehouse. It is the best place to start and/or end the day!
Perhaps I can sneak this in to you as this is a quiet time at the treehouse
The thought of others tragically enduring things on the same scale as I or worse, yes, I have often thought of them and it doesn’t bring my comfort in knowing our numbers and what each is experiencing. It saddens my heart, my soul. My prayers are with them, my arms surround them, I’ll be that tree they can lean on. Recharge should be complete in a little while ❤️
You’re a very good hearted and sweet lady. I am delighted to call you a friend (and others. you know who you are).
Think I posted on wrong post.
Would make more sense if it was under Betsy 9:53 😉
Good morning Cat! Hope your day becomes better and brighter. ❤️
I should have said “losses”, plural, because I know, Cat, who you’re missing also. I, as well, miss him. As does Grandpa, as does ms idaho, and so many others, friend of my heart💓
Bore da B and all friends here. Cat said what I’ve been feeling and what Betsy so clearly describes, so I’ve been lurking rather than posting recently, as well. The struggle in these dark(er) days is real. The support and uplifting words here are a life-line for me, so I thank you all so kindly. Loved the music Garrison posted-up, reflective of the mood. Love the reference, Ms Idaho, to John Denver’s Some days are diamonds…. some days are stones…. Blessings and Hope to all. The Lamb of God takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us and grant us peace.
Good morning, parichute💖 You were one I’ve been thinking about when I say to myself, “I haven’t seen (name) for so long. I hope he/she is all right.”
And of course while our church is full of parishioners who we feel so close to…family really, whose stories we know to a great level, we have no way of knowing all.
But so in tune are we, we notice when there are absences. Even do we notice changes in the tone of our residents’ posts. Cat, you are especially attuned to those. We just know sometimes that things aren’t quite right.
I love this thread and everything it is. Support is here. Worship is here. Affection, and yes, love is here. Reading and commenting every day is sustaining for me, especially now. You know exactly what I mean.
Each one brings something to this wonderful place, and I’ll never fail to be grateful for everyone here, all of whom have my prayers for deep peace and smooth roads as best as can be given. We are each a part of a big beautiful whole, always aware of the others who reside here.
Our “two or three gathered togethere” are way more than that. I’m as certain that God has His own branch in our leafy tree as I am that every day the sun will rise in the east.🙏
Blessings to you, P. B
mentally holding funky hands with thoughts like yours.
you can count your blessings all day and all night
you can pray non-stop
you can enjoy your kids, friends and neighbors
doesn’t change a thing
The John Denver song …Some Days are Diamonds, some Days are Stones
Some days the hard times won’t leave you alone
I (like you) am posting less – no point in adding to everyone else’s burdens – we all have to deal with problems we are given to solve.
We are all actively ‘praying for each other’
hugs to all
And you and Doc, ms idaho, are two who I keep in my heart every day. Wishing and praying that your lives were not so encumbered with the issues you have outlined.
It is your decision of course in what you post. But sometimes allowing yourself to unload (I’ve struggled for the right word, as “share” or “sharing” is too shallow and superficial) might be a release. I say this pompous thing because I find it is true for me. It gives us a chance to hopefully uplift in the tribulations, which we all understand. In any event, you know where the safe place to fall is. Can’t think of one better. Blessings always💖Bet
Oh, Betsy – the catch in my throat makes it hard to find words.
even ‘struggles’ does not begin to describe the situation.
As we age we all have a background littered with the loss of loved ones (including pets). Dying (for me) is not to be feared. It has been so well stated – getting old is not for the faint of heart.
For Doc – he happily goes thru each day. Ask Garrison what I mean.
For me the hard part is not to let fear of the unknown take hold.
Truths: aint none of us got that magic crystal ball on the future. all we really know and can deal with is today.
And in reality, today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.
Here’s a brief summary of the last week. A week ago Tuesday I visited my retina specialist. The good news – he is so pleased with how my right eye is doing that my shots have been put out to 10 week intervals. The bad news – too much pressure in that eye = maybe glaucoma which could take out the optic nerve. Anti inflammation drops prescribed and glaucoma specialist scheduled for July
Panic then takes over. That sets me on a course to find options and information.
I had a chat with my doctors ‘assistant’ who assured me that the situation is not dire. If it were the new schedules would not be what they are. As long as vision does not get worse (maybe even improves) I must learn to shelve panic.
If a day comes when things change and I can no longer care for the 2 of us, there will be options.
Sideways from that, I am also having other problems / issues. One of my care resources has described me as an anomaly. In other words, things that should help only cause more trouble.
Here’s the real problem. Lucentis, a truly miracle drug for wet macular and some other treatments for blindness, is gene therapy. Its benefit is to alter DNA so as to reduce or prevent the proliferation of blood vessels in the eye – and to thereby prevent seepage of blood and other fluids into the critical macula – your ability to read and discern things with your central vision.
So, my ‘issues’ stem from the altering of DNA. (not mRNA). Drugs.com has a neat long list of side effects. Yup – I have more than 1 of them – including the increase in pressure in the eye being injected.
FYA -the wet macular is by definition medically treatable. Dry macular, which has greatly interfered with my vision in my left eye, is not medically treatable. I also have ‘some’ in my right eye.
So, in short, I would be functionally very compromised were I to lose the optic nerve in my right eye. The 64 dollar question: can that be prevented? There is (near as I can learn) a good chance for prevention.
In a nutshell – here’s what I am up against. Side effects of Lucentis include little things like detached retina (can be surgically reattached), blindness, and stroke. MRI does show ‘older’ stroke. Hey doctor – how old. Doctor: good question.
Bottom line – the injection is in the eye. Side effects may occur anywhere in the body. As with stories about covid jabs – injection in arm, side effects throughout the body.
Here’s the challenge for my support folks – seems my liver has taken a big hit. everything ‘non-traditional’ we are trying drives me deeper in the hole.
You know the rule of holes. When you find yourself in one, stop digging.
So, the doctor running the clinic is running out of options. Talk about depressing. Possibly / Probably the next approach will be to design a course of treatment around treating / detoxifying the liver. Poor liver, another victim of Lucentis (IMHO)
I am about 2/1/2 yrs into the problem and sinking.
As the old joke goes, other than that Mrs Lincoln, the play goes well.
Now (I am sure) you all know more about macular degeneration than you want to know. Other than family history, a physical vulnerability, age and a probable exposure to a toxic environment, there is no particular ’cause.
All any of us can do is try to deal with events we can define and attempt to overcome. Living and eating well, praying lots. Absorbing ‘good’ thoughts from you and Cat and other treepers (thoughts, including prayers, are things)
Thanks more than I can say. I reflect them all back at you for your best health and well being.
I wish I could convey to you the immense depth of how much I identify with you on your fear, panic, and sometimes crippling depression that accompanies the first two as a result.
PG Wodehouse, the prolific author and THE master of the Metaphor, bar none, coined one that absolutely applies to me, and I’m certain you.
In one of his miraculously funny Jeeves and Wooster books (the reading of which could make the most depressed person feel uplifted), one of his characters was described, on hearing some particularly affecting news, as performing a perfect sitting high jump. 😂😂😂.
That, in a nutshell, is me. Never mind that I turn to prayer and faith. My initial reaction to anything which alters the trajectory of my life or the lives of those I care deeply about or love, or those who have become such good friends through these threads is panic. The grip I get on it comes later.
With your tribulations and ongoing complicated bodily issues, as well as concern for your beloved husband, I am standing right beside you in camaraderic company. My mother had macular degeneration, so I know a little about it. But you,who knows so much? I wish with all my heart for a miracle of all miracles that all the issues, one on top of another and all connected, will suddenly right themselves. And more than that, with all my heart, that is what I will pray for.
We are at that age also when time is not our friend, nor are the incoming problems which no one can avoid. You are just ahead of us on that road by a few years. But we are catching up. We don’t know what’s coming or when. But I look to you as an inspiration for the honesty, bravery, and dignity you show when you comment. I am so glad you are with good doctors whom you trust to be honest, who respect you, and who clearly don’t treat you as a child. There seem to be so few nowadays. That is one small but important blessing for people our age.
I know what I’ve said can’t help what you are feeling. I am your friend. You may absolutely count on that. Maybe knowing I’ll respond each and every time you simply cannot do this by yourself…you shouldn’t have to in any event…will help in some small way.🙏 Good news ( of which thankfully there is some) or not so good, here is where I (we ) will be. Every day. Don’t carry this by yourself, please. You know God is standing beside you, as we (I) are doing the same. Prayers from my corner are up and never ending, my friend🌷💖🙏 Bet
re: this part of your poignant post: I am so glad you are with good doctors whom you trust to be honest, who respect you, and who clearly don’t treat you as a child. There seem to be so few nowadays. That is one small but important blessing for people our age.
If we can say there was a particular benefit to our years working with doctors this is it!.
We learned things like who ‘really’ knows and has valid info, and who is willing to go the extra mile.
The original founder (chiropractor) of the clinic we are working with used to call Doc regularly with what they both described as train wrecks. Doc would do some research and make recommendations.
His son is a 3rd generation DC with the added background of Naturopath. HIS son is learning the business and making plans for medical school. Yes, we’ve known them that long.
The other resource I have is connected to the folks who manufacture what we sold and (of course) use. Endobiogeny is a specialty unto itself. It is based on work of Dr LaPraz (MD) . He was connected with a hospital in France, used herbals (the wisdom of the plant) and successfully treated cancer patients. In order to provide easy access here, the Time Labs folks started several clinics around the US based on his work.
if you have an interest: Endobiogenic Integrative Medical Center| (eimcenter.com)
IMHO these are the kinds of doctors most of us seek.
I know you are not asking, but if you seek good care search for environmental doctors, naturopaths offering non traditional treatments. I give you this reference so you will know the kinds of things I seek for us: The West Clinic (westcliniconline.com)
We lucked out in both cities where we ‘settled’ by hooking up with Primary Care docs who know and understand out interests and needs – meaning they don’t fight our ‘other resources’ and approaches. Doc’s reputation locally (from the late 1990s, early 2000s) stands us in good stead too.
So, in terms of blessings, we are heads and shoulders above other seekers of health care. Yes, its not too hard to see ‘HIM’ standing behind the doctor, or see the Guardian Angel sitting on Doc’s shoulder.
Hah! If you do the Ben Franklin ‘list’, there are more plusses in the plus column than problems that are difficult to overcome in the minus column.
My goal is to share the ‘good stuff’ so you folks can benefit from our experiences.
For sure today’s medics are not my father’s medics, he having been a prominent surgeon and an ethical caring one at that. He would be appalled, if not angry beyond measure, if he could see what his beloved profession has become.
I had the great good fortune when I broke my wrist badly on Christmas Eve about 8 years ago to be referred to a DO orthopaedist. I was wary at first, having been brought up within the “medical doctors are superior” sphere. But that was then.
He surgically repaired my arm so well that I forget it was ever broken and have essentially no scar at all. Since then, and since the shocking and appalling reveal of medical doctors during the covid years as essentially government workers, rather than compassionate healers, we have done everything we can to avoid them, and have signed on to a DO primary care practice. So far, we are very comfortable with them. Very. My husband consulted them when he had (I’m certain) covid. No masks, no push for vaxxes. We both signed on immediately.
Thank you for those links, which I will save for if or more likely when. And yes…you and Doc are best placed and richly fortunate that you have excellent pathways shut off for so many. A blessing of the highest magnitude.
Oh and this finally. Yesterday we received notice that our Part B insurance has been jacked up yet again. Incredibly so. It will hurt. Nevertheless, we escaped the wretched, not fit for purpose, murderous (not being hyperbolic) British NHS. So a silver lining in the face of aging. Small mercies indeed.
hugs
And mine to you…
Good Evening FC. remember we love you and keep you in our prayers. You have gone thru so much, we are here for you anytime you need us. It takes time to come thru all that you are dealing with, but you will come thru it all and start feeling better. God bless you and keep you safe in his arms. I think this is one of the times when there is only one set of footprints in the sand because God is helping carry your load. Keep your faith and trust in him. He will help you thru.
Just perfect, Cat. Just perfect.💖
Good morning everyone. Happy hump day. I ran across a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote that speaks to something I adhere to. My words are: The human spirit is the most resilient force on earth. But Emerson says it much more eloquently.
“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”
I suppose it just means there are many ways to say “never doubt yourself”.
Have a great day everyone. You are all superstars. God bless. Cheers!
And…
“There are far, far better things ahead than we leave behind.” So grateful for the blessings through His mercy and grace…and the blessings yet to come.
IOW, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
Blessings to you, my friend.
Amen!
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Always, duchess💓🙏
BE MY VOICE
BABY LIVES MATTER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Glory to God for all things
Morning Lonestar and amen!
Caught a bit of the news this morning. OK, I’ll say it. Where’s OUR month? You know, us straight White guys.
We painted the great art, wrote the symphonies, thought up the philosophies, created Western Civilization and liberal democracy, explored and opened up the world, discovered ALL the math and science and medical advancements, and invented EVERYTHING.
We also grew the food, built the cities brick by brick and beam by beam, laid the roads, built the houses, wired and plumbed all of it, filled the factories that turned out every consumer product you own, crashed through the front door to save you when your house was on fire, and chased down the scumbag who stole your purse.
We got married BEFORE we had kids, stayed married and faithful to the same woman our whole lives, worked hard all week, brought home our paychecks, and still did scouts and parent conferences and sports and church, and raised our kids to love God and each other.
So … where’s OUR month? Oh well. Sometimes I just get cranky. Old guy, you know.
concur with your truth

If any of this from Dianne Marshall is true, we have just dodged a big bullet
It seems BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africs) and communist countries stood firm against the WHO Biden proposals to take over free nations.
Just like the African Methodists have saved so far the United Methodist church from being taken over by the sodomite mafia.

If we are in the last of the End Times, 2 things we must witness are – war in Israel + global prosecution of real Christianity + the Bible…
I have a friend I talk to regularly that lives in Kentucky he told me that yesterday out of nowhere the power went out and stayed out for a little over 4 hours. Many are about to discover just how “civilized” our society actually is without the confines put in place as a deterrent.
I’ve just released a new, proud-to-be-a patriot documentary. I know many of you will want to see and share it. The one-hour program premiered on the Real America’s Voice network on Memorial Day. Many thanks to Steve Bannon who not only promoted the program but arranged to have RAV broadcast it.
“The Spirit of America: Truckers Ignite Patriotic Revival” takes you on a coast-to-coast journey where you’ll hear from patriots supporting the trucker convoy against mask and vaccine mandates. There’s cheering and tearing as many of our countrymen reflect on the freedom-suffocating government edicts they’ve endured the past two years.
No donations necessary. And there’s no charge to watch it. But there is a sponsor. Some guy who sells pillows. I think you’ll recognize him. In any case, here’s a link to the program on Rumble. https://rumble.com/v16qoj6-the-spirit-of-america.html. Please subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thanks, John. @LetsRollAmerica on Truth Social, GETTR and Twitter.
Thank you, Mr. Spiropoulos
