Today we honor and give thanks for all Americans who died while serving and protecting Americans, wherever far away and however brutal that task became. We celebrate the lives and sacrifice of our fallen.
I hope that we Americans are indeed offering up our prayers for those who have served and their families. I hope we remember to thank God today that we have such patriots who gave up their lives because they believed that America is our home, our land, the heart of who and what we are as not only a nation among others, but a key part of our very identity.
I like to post this video each year. It’s a fitting tribute to what we have to celebrate and observe today.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace.
Amen.
Awesome. God bless our fallen.
Got married in Ringgold, 1998. Real America.
Throughout this Nation, everywhere, it should look like Ringgold, GA.
Thank You Eternally, To All and God Bless.

My personal favorite Memorial Day video is this three-minute speech by Ronald Reagan. Gives me a chill every time. Worth watching. https://missliberty.com/memorial-day-a-speech-that-does-honor-to-it/
A patriotic county that honors its war dead with a beautiful rose garden:

The party of WWII hero John Fitzgerald Kennedy is now comprised of people who possess the mentality and practice the ideology of Lee Harvey Oswald.
Just think about that for a minute.
This is NOT an exaggeration.
And just like those who had the ideology to cause Lee Harvey Oswald to become their patsy — which caused the Johnson coup d’etat — these people put a huge plan in place to bring about another coup d’etat, this time better titled the Flu d’etat.
They are evil through and through.
My husband’s Uncle Keith, was in pre-med, joined as an officer, went to training at Fort Bragg with the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles.
Unfortunately, by all accounts, during parachute training, a private at the front of the line was frozen in fear and refused to jump. Uncle Keith unhooked his parachute cord from the line, and walked to the front to help the terrified young man, who jumped, pulling Uncle Keith along with him.
Uncle Keith was an intelligent, soft spoken, gentle-souled person, and we’ve alway speculated that the horrors of war would have destroyed him. Maybe, God had other plans for him on the other side.
Planning a vacation to Post-Revolutionary Tunisia during the pandemic?
If not, I would like to suggest to you a short virtual visit to what may be one of the most-forgotten and under-appreciated overseas American Military Cemeteries anywhere, The North African American Cemetery, to honor our precious fallen warriors.
Truth be told, and By the Grace of God we stumbled onto this completely by accident, the only one in North Africa, traveling from Tunis City to visit the ancient ruins of nearby Carthage. From the road, it appears as an Oasis in the distance, and approaching it, this is in fact the case. Imagine our surprise pulling up to the entrance…
As your unofficial Treehouse Guide, your virtual visit begins with the 2 minute official video below
Next, I suggest viewing the 45-photos people have uploaded to Trip Advisor to get a better feel for the place.

Be sure to take the time to enlarge and read two of the mosaics by the Chapel, photos #40 and 42. Carthage is known for its spectacular mosaics, and the Cemetery was designed with that in mind. It would surprise me if you didn’t learn something that adds value to your visit to honor our 2,841 American soldiers interred here.
Wow, thank you
Glad you liked it Dabigragu, just glad I was curious about that mysterious green forest off the road in the middle of the desert
Hymn to the Fallen, always gets me, especially on this day.
Great message from the President of We the People, PDJT.

This makes me think that it will take a lot more than whatever a bunch of stupid Collectivists have got to take our freedoms from us. Thank you for posting this. Most of us have family members who gave their lives for our free Country. I thank God for allowing us to have it in the first place. It has taken a lot of blood and guts to keep it. I also thank God that He has given us so many courageous young Americans to fight and die for the rest of us.
God Bless America and those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect it.
I’d like to print this illustration and put it next to every fake, phony, idiotic sign someone has up thanking “heroes” for going to work and doing their job while the faux flu is going on.
I’d love for any masked punk to stand in the shoes of a serviceman in battle for five minutes — just five minutes. I’d love the same for everyone out there making signs ‘for the heroes.’
It will take a rude awakening for socialists to realize they do not really want what they’re asking for.
To all those who gave before me, with me, and after me, as well as to those whose loved ones did the same, I give you my solemn vow;
My oath of enlistment has no expiration date and I, as a Patriot and Warrior, will fulfill my sovereign duty as an American citizen and Veteran, to defend and protect this Nation and the Constitution, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will fight in every way, do what ever it takes, to my last breath, to keep us Free.
The blank check I wrote many years ago to this Great Country is still valid and will be until I die.
God Bless America.
I wish to thank my ancestors, Philip who fought in the Revolutionary War, William who fought in the War of 1812, Jack who fought in the Civil War (from Virginia but who served in the 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery at great cost to himself), John who fought in the Spanish-American War, Aubrey who served during WWII, and Victor who served during the Vietnam War and the Cold War.
God Bless AMERICA !!!!!
My late father served as a First Lt., U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps., in Pusan (now Busan), South Korea, during the Korean War. The experience stayed with him and he remained a very neat and organized packer until his passing in 2011. He folded and packed everything as if he was readying his foot locker (which I still have) to ship out on his troop ship, from Seattle. He kept his original GI-issue Army boots shined like new. I’ve also got his Eisenhower jacket and a bunch of his patches, insignia, lapel pins and a shadow box, with medals and awards. I also have other memorabilia, such as an orginal information pamphlet for GI passengers on his troop ship, and a very campy and raunchy “certificate” given to him onboard his troop ship, commerating his passage into the war zone.
“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each and every person who died protecting it.”- Unknown
Amazing and heartbreaking message. . .
My Mama had 7 brothers in WWII at the same time.
One was a twin. He didn’t make it …
God Bless America <3
Angel Flight
Went out and about a little this afternoon in socialist Duluth, Minnesota.
Little Emily Larson, leftist liberal who came to Duluth to ensure its socialist status, has kept the mask mandate in place beyond our stupid Gubner’s date — since that’s what socialists do.
While out I ran into a few older couples and a few older men, none of whom had masks on. Said a few pleasantries to one another and I would always ask, ‘Were you in the service?’
This Memorial Day was probably the saddest I’ve ever seen. Every man I asked said “Yes” he had been in the service, and all of them had a great sense of doom for our country.
I thanked each person who had served, and thanked the women who had been there serving our country too, while keeping the home fires burning for their serviceman.
It really was noticeably sad though, that these once proud servicemen seemed very somber on a day meant to honor them and their service.
I knew without asking that each and every one of them had voted for President Trump, and each and everyone of them knew a coup had taken place.
Heavenly Father,
Abba,
Forgive the sins of those of us who are Your children, and please, oh please dear Lord, heal our land.
In Jesus Name we pray.
AMEN
A beautiful prayer Raven. And, may we all do the part that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel has given us to do.
Praise God…thank you.
The most beautiful cemeteries most Americans will never see.
Well tended, well loved, well visited by the locals that know who purchased their freedom and at what cost.

That’s solemn and moving, thanks for sharing it.
