Liberty — How Precious!

We were interested to read, recently, about the man in California who ran short of grazing land for his herd of 13 buffalo. To solve this problem he put them on a barge and took them over to a large island in Lake Berryessa where there was lots of pasture. But what did the buffalo do? They jumped back into the lake, swam to shore and began charging fishermen and chasing automobiles — so enraged were they at being imprisoned on an island!

After all, neither man nor beast enjoys bondage, though many of us are in fact enslaved.

Our Lord said in John 8:32: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” To this the religious leaders replied: “We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest Thou, Ye shall be made free?” But our Lord answered: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin” (Ver. 34). St. Paul says the same thing in Rom. 6:16:

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

Sad to say, many sincere religious people think that they can free themselves from sin by putting themselves in bondage to the Law, the Ten Commandments. This never works, for the Law can only condemn the sinner. Rom. 3:19,20 declares that the Law was given “that every mouth may be stopped and that all the world may be brought in guilty before God… for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Again we have to turn to Christ for salvation and true liberty. He “died for our sins” (I Cor. 15:3) and has “redeemed us from the curse of the law” (Gal. 3:13).

Having believed this and trusted Christ as Savior, true Christians serve the Lord, not from fear, or to gain favor, but out of sheer love and gratitude. This is true liberty and this service is the only kind that God desires from us. Probably no man ever served the Lord more sincerely or tirelessly than the Apostle Paul. In II Cor. 5:14 he gives us the secret: “The love of Christ constraineth us…”

Regardless of who wins the disputed 2020 elections, please be advised that your past actions of opposing President Donald J. Trump, including your active labors for, and in support of, the Biden/Harris campaign, will not be forgotten by the majority of the 72-million+ Americans who voted for the president in this election. Additionally, we want to express displeasure at your remarks and actions (or lack of action) in the face of the Russia Collusion Hoax and equally outrageous impeachment by the dishonest, partisan Democrats in both houses of Congress. Both of these actions amounted to an attempted coup to set aside the 2016 election. Your continued support of the corrupt Joe Biden, to whom you held fast even in the face of damning corruption evidence much more compelling than that presented against the president in the Russia Collusion Hoax, is evidence that the “truth” you purported to seek in the sham persecution of President Trump, was entirely a political convenience. That you were not outraged at the totally-partisan, anger-driven Ukraine Call Impeachment travesty is further proof of your placing personal interest above truth and integrity. Hypocrisy is a garment the Left wears like a uniform, and you’ve all measured yourselves for a full wardrobe. Anything you say from now on is completely suspect. A broken Ouiji board is more credible.

As we supporters of President Trump were called racist, bigot, moron, truther, flat-earther, ignorant, unwashed, smelly, inbred and an assortment of other pejoratives and expletives, you stood by and largely said nothing. The scope of these ad hominem attacks were limited only by the collective vitriol and infected minds of the political Left, Democratic politicians, Hollywood elites and members of the Fifth Column Fourth Estate. You easily found common cause with this collective body by freely attacking the president and, by extension, his supporters. On those rare occasions where you may have defended the president or ourselves, it was obviously noteworthy only for its rarity and the shock value of such as utterance passing from your lips. You backed Biden/Harris, both of whom, along with their Party, have done nothing to denounce or control both physical and verbal attacks on supporters of President Donald Trump.

Now, as the news of widespread, institutionalized, serial, voter fraud in key swing states has come to light, you are too busy sucking up to Biden/Harris and/or posturing to run for president in 2024 to step back, sack-up and look at what harm is being done to America and to the integrity of free elections. In the same way you showed us a conditional and situational quest for “truth” in the Russia Collusion Hoax, you are now placing yourselves ahead of exposing the danger to the Republic, as well as giving implicit approval of election fraud by Democratic political machines in key states. Instead of looking at massive, anomalous 4:00am ballot dumps of Biden/Harris-only votes, you are obsessed with self-congratulating, high-fiving and making future political and/or consulting plans. You are stumbling over the still-fighting 45th president of the United States to get in line for the next opportunity to cash-in on your wavering political fortunes.

As one of the 72-million+ Americans who voted for President Trump, I am watching you. We are all watching you. Bill Kristol, Mitt Romney, anybody named McCain, Jeff Flake, Pierre Delecto, Jack Speilman, George Conway, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Steve Schmidt, John Weaver, Ken Weinstein, John Bellinger, Tony Scaramucci et. al… it’s time for you all to humble-up, shut-up and keep a low profile. Don’t lecture us on “accepting the election results”, or if Biden does eventually steal the election, don’t look down your patrician noses (real or altered) and gravely tell us, “Let’s just move on, now.” We’re tired of you standing apart from us, upon some type of hallowed GOP Olympus of your own creation, and lecturing us on how to be a conservative or how to lose with dignity, at which all of you seem to excel. We’ve been with a WINNER, and to shamelessly paraphrase the late Texas Senator Lloyd Benson (who probably voted for Biden/Harris), “I know Donald J. Trump is a winner, and you sir, are no Donald J. Trump!”

Please, no victory laps. Stay off the opinion shows. Do not deign to lecture us. And if you must speak, don’t try to be clever, hyperbolic or above all, funny. The 72-Million+ of us who voted for President Trump are afraid. That fear is for our Republic, our businesses, our schools, our borders, our religious freedom, the lives of the unborn, our Second Amendment rights, our being censored by social media and the possibility that our whole system of government may be destroyed by the court-packing Left. Unlike you, we do not monetize our political engagement; this isn’t like a game of squash at “the club”. To us, “government” is not a means to an end. Instead, it’s a partner, limited by the Constitution, there to assist us in those things impossible, yet necessary, for keeping America as it was founded and to help it move forward. We know that when the government fears the People, there is Freedom, but when the People fear the Government, there is Tyranny. You supported Biden/Harris, and you know that they can create a fearful government with their actions! This speaks volumes about all of you, especially those who purport to be a “true conservative”!

You see, to us, being a “good loser” to a Democratic Left who hates us and our very lives, doesn’t feel the quite same out here in REAL Fly-Over America as it does in your congenial enclaves inside the D.C. Beltway, in Manhattan, at the Hamptons or within your gated communities. No, we’re just simple, family-loving, God-fearing people who love America the way our wise, prescient Founders established it. Universally, we want to keep it a REPUBLIC and not turn it into that “democracy” the Left continually refers to and lectures us about, because we know that in a Republic, the rights of ALL are respected, but in a democracy a majority of even one enables and emboldens whatever control and tyranny the majority desire. We know that the Senate is the “air-brake” on a too-powerful, too-reflexive legislative branch, purely because of its legislative filibuster rules. We know that a packed Supreme Court, filled with pure ideologues, would be nothing but a rubber stamp on bad, unconstitutional legislation. We think you all were politically derelict and morally corrupt in siding with Biden/Harris and making these destructive things all too possible, if not downright probable under their regime! You’ve put personal animus above resisting a real, known danger to America.

Finally, all you Never-Trump types need to know one thing. We will not forget. We will hold YOU partly to blame for the harm a Biden/Harris (and Soros) regime will do to our nation and our lives. If your name is Romney, Christie, ANY Bush, Kasich, Flake or any of the others, just forget about politics, unless its local. Get a show on MSNBC or CNN where your “talent” can shine. Whatever you do, don’t run for president. Your brand is now officially Brand-X. If you do run for POTUS, we will oppose you in the primary. If you make like a Democrat and cheat your way to the nomination, we will all write-in the name of Donald J. Trump, or if President Trump does win the 2020 election and is ineligible in 2024, we’ll write in Melania Trump for president. If you are a political consultant, a member of the chattering class or one of the many political opportunists who thrive in the Swamp, we won’t watch your show, buy your books or read your blogs. No Facebook. No Twitter. Nothing. You effectively said you were done with us when you embraced Biden/Harris, so now we’re irreversibly and forever done with you. Finito.

If you were not tone deaf, you’d know that Real Americans detest a turn-coat. If you didn’t like our guy, you should’ve just stayed quiet and followed George Dubya’s example. But you didn’t, because you lack character and the fundamental qualities that we hold dear in a person who leads us. I further maintain that you have no idea what a real leader is, which takes us back to your proclivity for, and ready acceptance of, losing. As for turncoats, remember even Judas Iscariot had an epiphany and realized that he’d made a grave mistake. But you all? You won’t. The Greeks called it hubris. You all could be hubris-donors.

There is obvious speculation that the song was written about Carly Simon who was recently divorced from James Taylor, but of course Taylor refuses to say just who the song is actually about. In fact it could have been about any of the musicians in the video. Failed or trouble relationships were just part of the emotional landscape of LA music at the time.

Solemnity of Christ the King

Mr. President,

Allow me to address you at this hour in which the fate of the whole world is being threatened by a global conspiracy against God and humanity. I write to you as an Archbishop, as a Successor of the Apostles, as the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America. I am writing to you in the midst of the silence of both civil and religious authorities. May you accept these words of mine as the “voice of one crying out in the desert” (Jn 1:23).

As I said when I wrote my letter to you in June, this historical moment sees the forces of Evil aligned in a battle without quarter against the forces of Good; forces of Evil that appear powerful and organized as they oppose the children of Light, who are disoriented and disorganized, abandoned by their temporal and spiritual leaders.

Daily we sense the attacks multiplying of those who want to destroy the very basis of society: the natural family, respect for human life, love of country, freedom of education and business. We see heads of nations and religious leaders pandering to this suicide of Western culture and its Christian soul, while the fundamental rights of citizens and believers are denied in the name of a health emergency that is revealing itself more and more fully as instrumental to the establishment of an inhuman faceless tyranny.

A global plan called the Great Reset is underway. Its architect is a global élite that wants to subdue all of humanity, imposing coercive measures with which to drastically limit individual freedoms and those of entire populations. In several nations this plan has already been approved and financed; in others it is still in an early stage. Behind the world leaders who are the accomplices and executors of this infernal project, there are unscrupulous characters who finance the World Economic Forum and Event 201, promoting their agenda.

The purpose of the Great Reset is the imposition of a health dictatorship aiming at the imposition of liberticidal measures, hidden behind tempting promises of ensuring a universal income and cancelling individual debt. The price of these concessions from the International Monetary Fund will be the renunciation of private property and adherence to a program of vaccination against Covid-19 and Covid-21 promoted by Bill Gates with the collaboration of the main pharmaceutical groups. Beyond the enormous economic interests that motivate the promoters of the Great Reset, the imposition of the vaccination will be accompanied by the requirement of a health passport and a digital ID, with the consequent contact tracing of the population of the entire world. Those who do not accept these measures will be confined in detention camps or placed under house arrest, and all their assets will be confiscated.

Mr. President, I imagine that you are already aware that in some countries the Great Reset will be activated between the end of this year and the first trimester of 2021. For this purpose, further lockdowns are planned, which will be officially justified by a supposed second and third wave of the pandemic. You are well aware of the means that have been deployed to sow panic and legitimize draconian limitations on individual liberties, artfully provoking a world-wide economic crisis. In the intentions of its architects, this crisis will serve to make the recourse of nations to the Great Reset irreversible, thereby giving the final blow to a world whose existence and very memory they want to completely cancel. But this world, Mr. President, includes people, affections, institutions, faith, culture, traditions, and ideals: people and values that do not act like automatons, who do not obey like machines, because they are endowed with a soul and a heart, because they are tied together by a spiritual bond that draws its strength from above, from that God that our adversaries want to challenge, just as Lucifer did at the beginning of time with his “non serviam.”

Many people – as we well know – are annoyed by this reference to the clash between Good and Evil and the use of “apocalyptic” overtones, which according to them exasperates spirits and sharpens divisions. It is not surprising that the enemy is angered at being discovered just when he believes he has reached the citadel he seeks to conquer undisturbed. What is surprising, however, is that there is no one to sound the alarm. The reaction of the deep state to those who denounce its plan is broken and incoherent, but understandable. Just when the complicity of the mainstream media had succeeded in making the transition to the New World Order almost painless and unnoticed, all sorts of deceptions, scandals and crimes are coming to light.

Until a few months ago, it was easy to smear as “conspiracy theorists” those who denounced these terrible plans, which we now see being carried out down to the smallest detail. No one, up until last February, would ever have thought that, in all of our cities, citizens would be arrested simply for wanting to walk down the street, to breathe, to want to keep their business open, to want to go to church on Sunday. Yet now it is happening all over the world, even in picture-postcard Italy that many Americans consider to be a small enchanted country, with its ancient monuments, its churches, its charming cities, its characteristic villages. And while the politicians are barricaded inside their palaces promulgating decrees like Persian satraps, businesses are failing, shops are closing, and people are prevented from living, traveling, working, and praying. The disastrous psychological consequences of this operation are already being seen, beginning with the suicides of desperate entrepreneurs and of our children, segregated from friends and classmates, told to follow their classes while sitting at home alone in front of a computer.

In Sacred Scripture, Saint Paul speaks to us of “the one who opposes” the manifestation of the mystery of iniquity, the kathèkon (2 Thess 2:6-7). In the religious sphere, this obstacle to evil is the Church, and in particular the papacy; in the political sphere, it is those who impede the establishment of the New World Order.

As is now clear, the one who occupies the Chair of Peter has betrayed his role from the very beginning in order to defend and promote the globalist ideology, supporting the agenda of the deep church, who chose him from its ranks.

Mr. President, you have clearly stated that you want to defend the nation – One Nation under God, fundamental liberties, and non-negotiable values that are denied and fought against today. It is you, dear President, who are “the one who opposes” the deep state, the final assault of the children of darkness.

For this reason, it is necessary that all people of good will be persuaded of the epochal importance of the imminent election: not so much for the sake of this or that political program, but because of the general inspiration of your action that best embodies – in this particular historical context – that world, our world, which they want to cancel by means of the lockdown. Your adversary is also our adversary: it is the Enemy of the human race, he who is “a murderer from the beginning” (Jn 8:44).

Around you are gathered with faith and courage those who consider you the final garrison against the world dictatorship. The alternative is to vote for a person who is manipulated by the deep state, gravely compromised by scandals and corruption, who will do to the United States what Jorge Mario Bergoglio is doing to the Church, Prime Minister Conte to Italy, President Macron to France, Prime Minster Sanchez to Spain, and so on. The blackmailable nature of Joe Biden – just like that of the prelates of the Vatican’s “magic circle” – will expose him to be used unscrupulously, allowing illegitimate powers to interfere in both domestic politics as well as international balances. It is obvious that those who manipulate him already have someone worse than him ready, with whom they will replace him as soon as the opportunity arises.

And yet, in the midst of this bleak picture, this apparently unstoppable advance of the “Invisible Enemy,” an element of hope emerges. The adversary does not know how to love, and it does not understand that it is not enough to assure a universal income or to cancel mortgages in order to subjugate the masses and convince them to be branded like cattle. This people, which for too long has endured the abuses of a hateful and tyrannical power, is rediscovering that it has a soul; it is understanding that it is not willing to exchange its freedom for the homogenization and cancellation of its identity; it is beginning to understand the value of familial and social ties, of the bonds of faith and culture that unite honest people. This Great Reset is destined to fail because those who planned it do not understand that there are still people ready to take to the streets to defend their rights, to protect their loved ones, to give a future to their children and grandchildren. The leveling inhumanity of the globalist project will shatter miserably in the face of the firm and courageous opposition of the children of Light. The enemy has Satan on its side, He who only knows how to hate. But on our side, we have the Lord Almighty, the God of armies arrayed for battle, and the Most Holy Virgin, who will crush the head of the ancient Serpent. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom 8:31).

Mr. President, you are well aware that, in this crucial hour, the United States of America is considered the defending wall against which the war declared by the advocates of globalism has been unleashed. Place your trust in the Lord, strengthened by the words of the Apostle Paul: “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13). To be an instrument of Divine Providence is a great responsibility, for which you will certainly receive all the graces of state that you need, since they are being fervently implored for you by the many people who support you with their prayers.

With this heavenly hope and the assurance of my prayer for you, for the First Lady, and for your collaborators, with all my heart I send you my blessing.

God’s command is – Take NOW, not presently. It is extraordinary how we debate! We know a thing is right, but we try to find excuses for not doing it at once. To climb to the height God shows can never be done presently, it must be done now. The sacrifice is gone through in will before it is performed actually.

“And Abraham rose up early in the morning…and went unto the place of which God had told him” (v. 3). The wonderful simplicity of Abraham! When God spoke, he did not confer with flesh and blood. Beware when you want to confer with flesh and blood, i.e., your own sympathies, your own insight, anything that is not based on your personal relationship to God. These are the things that compete with and hinder obedience to God.

Abraham did not choose the sacrifice. Always guard against self-chosen service for God; self-sacrifice may be a disease. If God has made your cup sweet, drink it with grace; if He has made it bitter, drink it in communion with Him. If the providential order of God for you is a hard time of difficulty, go through with it, but never choose the scene of your martyrdom. God chose the crucible for Abraham, and Abraham made no demur; he went steadily through. If you are not living in touch with Him, it is easy to pass a crude verdict on God. You must go through the crucible before you have any right to pronounce a verdict, because in the crucible you learn to know God better. God is working for His highest ends until His purpose and man’s purpose become one.
