NEW YORK – Vice presidential candidate Mike Pence’s campaign plane slid off the runway after landing at LaGuardia Airport Thursday evening, NBC News reports.
The governor was checked to make sure he was OK, according to an NBC campaign embed. Emergency crews were on site but all passengers on the plane were said to be OK, including Pence.
LaGuardia Airport’s automated weather broadcast says the airport is closed until further notice due to poor visibility amid the rain. Runway 22 had been in use for landings. (link)
