Perhaps two decades after his death, my father told me that my mother’s Uncle Leonard was a tail gunner in a B-17 “Flying Fortress”. I had never known that when he was alive.
Actually, though the price was terrible, there was a bigger payoff than it seemed at the time due to attrition. The Luftwaffe was sustaining loses in experienced pilots it could not keep up with while the US Air Forces could sustain their losses over the long haul. And once the bombers got long range fighter escorts the jig was up.
Really aircraft losses were never that big of an issue for either side in the big picture after the Battle of Britain. In the last year of the war the Germans produced far more aircraft than they had pilots or fuel to fly them. It was the loss of experienced pilots and crews and for the Germans the shortage of fuel, that were the factors which more than any others determined the outcome of the air war.
Despite the heavy losses over the course of the war, the Air power advocates who claimed Hitler’s Reich could be defeated by bombing alone were proven wrong. That being said, the bombing was an essential key to the defeat of the Reich.
My wife’s father was a tail gunner in a B-24 in the 15th Airforce working out of Italy. He was shot down once and the underground in Yugoslavia hid him and eventually got him back. The two things he told me about it was, he didn’t care if he ever saw a piece of black bread in his life and that if you wanted to live you didn’t fool with the partisans women. He passed shortly after we were married.
The day after that terrible 9/11 my wife happened to be doing some rearranging of some things since we had recently moved into this home and was moving a framed picture of her Dad when the back slid out of the frame. Out fell a little American flag with 48 stars. Such flags were commonly part of the “Blood Chit” issued to those bomber crews. We took it as a sign that everything was going to be alright.
It definitely was a “grisly” battle.
The crude flying equipment (mostly B-24 Liberators and B-17 Flying Fortresses) in which we sent our beloved sons to fight and die horrible deaths over Germany was state of the art in its day. It was little more than sending our boys over to fight basically a ground shooting war with large bullets while temporarily suspended up in the air in flying machines that were neither armored nor equipped with radar or any command and control or defensive technology.
But our boys kept volunteering and bravely going into battle. Only 1 in 3 survived.

An old friend, now passed, flew B24’s in Europe. Once he and his new wife were on a sight-seeing boat tour of the Danube. As they passed under a bridge the tour guide mentioned that it had been a major target in WW2. My friend looked up and then said, “You know, I think I bombed this bridge.” Slience . . . 🙂

I guess “crude” is a time relative term when it comes to any technology. But really the big American bombers were the most complex machines mass produced up to that time. The B-24 Liberator, by far the most produced 4 engine aircraft in history and probably to remain so forever, had about 450,000 individual parts.
Imagine the effort required to take workers, train them to produce those parts and then assemble them! And imagine the logistical effort required to get those parts where they were needed when they were needed when a shortage of a part could shut down a whole assembly line.

None of this would have been possible without the monetization of the debt through the conversion of the dollar to fiat status. The theory of monetary expansion under the guise of necessity for growth is nothing more than a scheme to defraud the public through devaluation/inflation of the currency. All schemes to defraud get exposed eventually.
In the early ’70s, when I first seriously thought about my future, my only option for going to college later would be to work my way through. Focus on the financial reward of a college degree was clouded by the speculation of what sector/degree would be ‘hot’ by the time you graduated. Hindsight reveals that this correlation was the result of sector rotation in the stock/capital markets.
Enter the Government[under the subversive guise of ‘fairness’ and beholden to the source of its newfound ‘investors’], which has no private sector capital constraints of debt to equity valuations or competition, with a ‘new’ found source of $ in the form of monetized debt issued through the Federal reserve. Thankfully, that scheme to defraud has run its course.
Government [global] debt loads are maxed out at next to 0% ROI. The mob tactics of the Treasury/Fed forcing more 0% debt/bonds [Govt debt is dilutive to the value of the $] onto the banks is over. The private sector[Main St + Wall St] is the only place for investment capital to flow[profit is accretive to the value of the currency] for its natural inclination towards [legal] ROI.
And it gets even better… The debts will get settled by the markets, not politicians/organized crime.
You haven’t even seen winning yet.

“What is the name that ‘the whole family in heaven and earth is named’ after in Ephesians 3:15?”
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named” (Eph. 3:14-15).
The previous verse (v. 14) provides us with the answer to this question. The name is “our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians teaches the precious, magnificent truth of believers being “in Christ” (Eph. 1:3; 2:6,13). The moment we trust the gospel of salvation, we are placed into Christ by the Holy Spirit. As members of His Body, we are united with Christ and His name. In our Savior’s exaltation, He is “Far above… every name that is named” (Eph. 1:21). And we are one with Him, joined to His life eternal, resurrection power, seated position, and exalted name (1:17-23).
Paul wrote that the “whole family in heaven and earth” is named after Christ. The “whole family” is the entire family of God. In this epistle, Paul taught about the blessing of believing Gentiles under grace being “no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God” (2:19). We have been born by the Spirit into “the household,” or the family, “of God.”
“Heaven and earth” are the two places you can currently find the whole family of God. Part of the family is already home in heaven, and the rest of the family is here on earth, representing Christ to this world as His ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:20). We are all one in Christ; we belong completely to Him, and we are one with His name: “our Lord Jesus Christ.”

A Day in God’s House

God had a house in Israel. It was the temple.
Important places in the house only priests could enter. The most important place in the house only the high priest could enter on one day of the year.
David sang songs about dwelling in God’s house, and how he would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God than to be anywhere else. Perhaps you recognize them.
“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” – Psalm 27:4
“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” – Psalm 84:10
Worship leaders all over Churchianity express the same desire while waving their hands to the ceiling of a building they call “God’s house”. All of this is ignorant of something far better.
Better Than God’s House
The mystery of Christ is far better than simply being in God’s house.
The mystery of Christ is how sinners can be saved by grace to become members of the body of Christ.
“[Christ made] in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;” – Ephesians 2:15
“That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body,…” – Ephesians 3:6
“For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones… This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” – Ephesians 5:30-32
God has made every man in Christ a new creature, making us members of his body (2 Cor 5:17). By virtue of our membership in His body, we have the privilege of being in the household of God already.
So, why would you cry out to be in God’s house, if you are in Christ’s body?
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” – 1 Cor 3:16
Being merely the doorkeeper would be twelve steps down from where Christ has put you in himself today.
Access to God’s Household Through Christ
We are of the household of God today not because God accepted our resume or because we are worthy to at least sit in the corner, but because we are accepted in the Beloved One whose name is on the mailbox (Eph 1:6; Eph 3:15). We don’t go through the front door, but through Christ.
“For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;” – Ephesians 2:18-19
In time past, men desired to be in God’s house, which was only opened to his chosen people, who were given special covenants, and obeyed his laws.
The great mystery revealed to Paul is how there is no longer a need to climb the steps of the law, go through the front door of the covenants, or be born into God’s people to get into the house.
You get into the household today by being put into the body of Christ, and that by trusting the gospel (Eph 1:13; 1 Cor 12:13).
Instead of waiting to be in God’s house one day in the distant future, you are in His body now if you believe the gospel. What’s more, you are in His Body not for one day only, but for every day from now through eternity.
Forget sitting in the corner or standing in line! A day in God’s house is not worth an eternity in His body!
David did not know the mystery of Christ. There was no body of Christ at that time, and he was not in it. It was still hid in God while he was alive (Eph 3:9).
Many in churches today sing songs directly quoting David’s Psalms longing to be in God’s house. What is their excuse?

This is a phenomenal message that too many Christians don’t truly understand.
A man-made church building is useless until it is occupied by men and women who are there to study Christian doctrine by continuous and diligent study of the Bible, led and guided by knowledgeable pastors who have been given the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher and who accurately teach God’s Word isagogically, categorically, and exegetically.
But then those same people can meet anywhere in any building, or even under a tree, with their pastor-teacher and study and learn the exact same realities of God and Christ.
Do you go to church? What does it matter? What matters is: do you study Gods Word, and Christ’s salvation under accurate teaching by a truly spiritually gifted pastor teacher? And do you believe in Christ and the salvation He has given us by virtue of His death on the cross and His resurrection. All that remains true regardless of what building we are in when we study and glorify Christ.
This! We don’t have to wait to die to experience His kingdom here on earth.

Americans of Faith Need to Stop Fearing COVID & Government and Start Fearing God
The “fear quotient” of most people these days is off the scale. It has been like that since, oh … March of this year.
That’s when we entered the twilight zone of the coronavirus. Since then, America has been upended and everyone has an opinion about why.
Contributing to the fear have been the riots and the looting and burning of our cities by anarchists who appear to be immune from fear of the coronavirus but are instead determined to instill as much fear as they can in us.
They appear to be the “muscle end” of the business of leftists and socialists who have been a lot more open about what they really believe. They are determined to dismantle the country they’ve been taught to hate and replace our liberty with their tyranny.
By the time they realize that they are being used as political proxies to burn down their own house, it’ll be too late. They won’t fare any better in the ashes than we will.
Leftist politicians have continued to save their strictest edicts for law-abiding citizens and people of faith.
In California, it is now forbidden to sing or chant in church. Who thinks that won’t crop up in other leftist-controlled states around the country?
If only people of faith would chant hatred and death to America in their churches, they’d be perfectly allowed their “free expression.”
What people fear is often more telling about their core beliefs than what they profess to believe.
As I’ve railed against a disturbing number of people of faith who continue to knuckle under to the growing discriminatory edicts against them, I’ve begun to ask what they are truly afraid of.
Is it government retaliation for daring to sing or chant in church? Are they afraid of being blamed if one of their congregants gets sick? It could be that they’re afraid of death itself.
Professing Christians say they believe in everlasting life. Observant Jews also believe in a hereafter. They say God is in control and that we should put our faith in him.
So why do so many people of faith seem more afraid of the government than of God?
In the face of a virus that is nonlethal to more than 99.8 percent of our population, we still have masses of people who are deathly afraid of it.
They say they are willing to comply with increasingly strict edicts because it’s “contagious!” So is the common cold.
Fear is not only a motivator but a powerful suppressive agent. It stops people from acting, from stepping forward and from taking risks.
Above all, fear stops people from fighting back.
Is it any wonder why the propaganda media can’t stop fearmongering about coronavirus despite facts that continue to contradict their narrative?
Those facts have been widely reported and available. Yet, as they have tightened restrictions on us, they are also tightening restrictions on the free flow of information.
The media and leftist propagandists have repeatedly proven that they hate good news.
In the face of falling fatalities and revelations of inflated statistics, they are now willing to brazenly censor information from genuine physicians who have successfully treated COVID patients. “A cure instead of a vaccine? Oh no! We can’t have that! Never!”
“Why” is always a great question to ask, especially now.
Why do they keep doing things that are clearly not in our best interest? Why are they trying to keep us ignorant about the things that are?
Freedom and the courage required to preserve it are in all of our best interests.
What I have feared since March is that this great country of ours will fall to communism. I also fear that there are too few people who understand the death and destruction that it inevitably brings.
For those who do understand, it is essential that we face whatever are our deepest fears because those are the ones the cult of liberalism is preying upon to keep us frozen and submissive.
That will give us the power and strength to defy those who have a different agenda than they claimed to have.
This and more is essential if we are to keep our country safe from the deadly virus of tyranny.
No one can do it all, but we can all be leaders in our own sphere of influence. And there is something else we can do. Sing, chant and pray — loudly.

You will never get further until you are willing to do that one thing. The Holy Spirit will locate the one impregnable thing in you, but He cannot budge it unless you are willing to let Him.
How often have you come to God with your requests and gone away with the feeling – Oh, well, I have done it this time! And yet you go away with nothing, whilst all the time God has stood with outstretched hands not only to take you, but for you to take Him. ropola, The church I was attending now meets via zoom. I don’t approve and yet, I am in California and those are the politics here. The attendees seem to be in compliance with the state’s mandates. It is not comforting or comfortable to me.
Still lurking this week. Appreciate every day I can access the great content at TCTH. First, I log into WordPress. Then go to the “sites I follow” bar, click on TCTH, and see the headlines. Then I click on the tree which takes me to the article I want to view. My old CTH bookmarked page seems stuck on October 5. I’m using Brave browser, and Duck Duck Go search engine.
This evening, WP allows me to see the entire TCTH website in the old format, just like normal. Thank you to the skilled IT folks behind the scenes: you are the hands and feet of Jesus.

Yesterday I posted I didn’t think Pres Trump’ video was going to help him with seniors. No one agreed with me. Funny thing is Pres Trump just posted a new video speaking directly to seniors and assuring them that he would make sure they all got the same great medical care he got. Makes my point. Just wished he had talked directly to seniors in yesterday’s video.
Another video directed specifically at moms would be a good thing. Many are very scared about sending their kids back to school. Maybe have Dr Birx join him and reassure moms.

Please consider ever more that this election is at the fore of a spiritual battle over all the land. Not everyone is aware, there is a spiritual blindness and deafness to keep the people in the darkness. If it were not so, people in the light would not strive for darkness. Just want to keep Alecia Kitt’s s story alive and her need for help to fight the unjust charges against her. I have been following Alecia Kitts case since she was arrested in Logan, Ohio attending a football game not wearing a mask; the video was seen by thousands. I am in Fairfax, Virginia and do not know Alecia but I found out she has a gofundme page that is just over $2k and I donated (and commented) to help fund her defense. Alecia has a mid November court date and is charged with criminal trespassing, obstruction, and resisting arrest. Her mother is charged with resisting. I do not know if Alecia has a criminal record, what kind of person she is, or if she has a documented case of asthma, but I do know that what I saw on that video was unjust to say the least, in fact, to me the charges should have been dropped. The process of arrest with violence (tased) and dealing with the judicial system is serious punishment and quite costly in and of itself. I know that Alecia’s case is in some respects a small thing in light of a horrendous 2020 so far, but it is important, it is about constitutional rights and liberty. It also bothers me that people all over the nation are facing the loss of liberty, arrests, and going to jail over Gov/Mayors fascistic edicts. Alecia needs a good defense lawyer that can argue that the mask edict was unlawful and that her 4th Amendment rights were violated ( I am not a lawyer, but I do have common sense, at least a little anyway). It is a travesty of justice to have Alecia standing before a judge facing criminal trespassing, obstruction, and resisting for not wearing a mask outdoors and social distancing. Words fail me at this point.
