Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    About 1900 years ago St. Paul wrote to Timothy, with regard to the sacred Scriptures:
    “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (II Tim.3:16).
    This truth has been confirmed by overwhelming evidence, and those who have tried, through the centuries, to overthrow the Bible have been about as successful as a man trying to overthrow the Rock of Gibraltar with a pea shooter.
    Furthermore, the Word of God towers above the clergy as well as above the laity. The Bereans were called “noble” because they put the words of even the great Apostle Paul to the test of Scripture, to see if he taught anything contrary to it.
    That blessed Book is the Supreme Critic. If we overlook vital doctrine, it is the Book that will “teach” us. If we handle the Word deceitfully, it is the Book that will “reprove” us. If we go astray in our conclusions, it is the Book that will “correct” us. Where moral questions are involved, it is the Book that will “instruct us in righteousness.” Well do we remember when we were first convicted by the Bible as the written Word of God — and we have never ceased to thank God for the blessed results.
    This Book condemns men as sinners before a holy God, but presents salvation free and complete through the vicarious death of Christ at Calvary.

    “Christ died for our sins” (I Cor. 15:3).

    “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

      Amen D. I.! It is THE gift of God, cannot earn it and don’t deserve it. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not ALL consumed. Thank God for His mercies are new every morning.

If they can’t find any actual racists then they have started hacking into people’s social media accounts to fabricate racists posts. Then they try to bully peoples employers into firing them.       We are all happy he was arrested. How many people are surprised he was arrested? Fifty years, twenty years ago we would have known he would be arrested, but we don’t feel that way now.

    “And Peter…walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid.” Matthew xiv. 29-30

    The wind was actually boisterous, the waves were actually high, but Peter did not see them at first. He did not reckon with them, he simply recognized his Lord and stepped out in recognition of Him, and walked on the water. Then he began to reckon with the actual things, and down he went instantly. Why could not our Lord have enabled him to walk at the bottom of the waves as well as on the top of them? Neither could be done saving by recognition of the Lord Jesus.

    We step right out on God over some things, then self-consideration enters in and down we go. If you are recognizing your Lord, you have no business with where He engineers your circumstances. The actual things ARE, but immediately you look at them you are overwhelmed, you cannot recognize Jesus, and the rebuke comes: “Wherefore didst thou doubt?” Let actual circumstances be what they may, keep recognizing Jesus, maintain complete reliance on Him.

    If you debate for a second when God has spoken, it is all up. Never begin to say – “Well, I wonder if He did speak?” Be reckless immediately, fling it all out on Him. You do not know when His voice will come, but whenever the realization of God comes in the faintest way imaginable, recklessly abandon. It is only by abandon that you recognize Him. You will only realize His voice more clearly by recklessness.

      Yes! The conscious commitment to the Lord must also be accompanied by the acknowledgement that our own understanding is incomplete. The inner peace we achieve through Christ transcends human understanding. And it is through our faith we trust our spiritual instincts to act.

      As Paul writes in Philippians 4:4-9
      Final Exhortations
      4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

      The fedgov is all kinds of messed up. Starting just a few years after ratification of the Constitution the judicial usurps powers from the legislative. And gets away with it. Now the judicial allows the executive can make (de facto) law.

    Let me ponder on the wonderful healing of the paralytic (Matthew 9: 1):

    1. How the gracious Lord restored health to the paralytic, slimply saying to him: “Rise up and walk!”
    2. How my palsied soul is brought before the Lord by the Church, that the Lord may restore it to health if only I desire this.

    Today is June 5th on the traditional Calendar of the Orthodox Christian Church and June 18th on the civil or commercial calendar.

    Very disappointed in the ZeroHedge headline re:WuhanVirus in FL as the “new epicenter” today. While ZH often tends toward doomsday and negativity and I understand that they are still a Wall Street-based mindset, I am pretty pissed off with the *very misleading* information on the current state of COVID in Florida. As outlined VERY clearly by Governor Desantis at a presser (Actual video here: https://youtu.be/0Xn_99pmDIk) on Tuesday CASES here in FL are up, due to high levels of TESTING as a result of people returning to work and employers requiring a test OR people being referred for a test due to a possible exposure by a customer. What the DATA shows is that the age of those testing positive has, since March 1st, dropped from 65 to 37 (median) and the vast majority have very mild or no symptoms at all. Very nice review of the real situation with slides full of data on deaths (continue to decrease), median ages of those infected, death rates by age group, etc. CASES may be common, but the stress and strain on the healthcare system is NOT happening. Enough is enough with the dramatic headlines not supported at all but a sensible review of the actual situation… so sick and tired of this $h!t.

      The elite couldn’t get all of us to pay for everybody’s healthcare, so they doubled down to use the virus to call EVERY case a virus case and, voila, we are all paying for the sick. The healthy are suffering because of the lifestyle and choices, mostly, of the sick.

      Early on when all things virus was all anyone talked of and in all that we read, I thought, Ok, what will the testing show? I say this not to say how forward thinking I am but to say that if I could think it others had too. And of those of nefarious want, they would massage the results to their desire.

      This virus has become a war of words. The question is, Why? What is at stake? It is rhetorical since we know the answer. That Florida is now ground zero is no surprise. And it is no mistake.

      I do have a suggestion. Instead of getting riled, get with your own plan. Make good use of this time.
