Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

      I love this. Years ago, my foster son received his Air Force lieutenant’s bars in a ceremony at Tulane University. One of the other boys receiving bars had a non-com Dad in the audience with more stripes on his uniform sleeves and colors on his chest than I’d ever seen on anybody. When the boy received his bars, the Dad pulled up and snapped a salute. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Happy memory…

I honestly expected more out of him but the influence of the Deep State and the UniParty is very persuasive, especially when an elected politician decides he really want’s to keep his cushy job. Of course there’s great cynicism here and you can just bet Crenshaw will insist that his being a wounded combat veteran gives his both a moral imperative and deeper insight into America’s “gun problem” that even transcends the clear, unequivocal, intent of the 2nd Amendment. Don’t believe a word of his BS! While I respect his service he has absolutely no more right to tell us what we should think about a constitutional right than anybody else. Having some politician tell of what to think is so far away from conservatism I’m embarrassed to think I ever supported him.

And, Rogers knew, because every Government classified data system (just like similar civilian systems) has audit trails. Apparently it never occurred to the Obama people that every one of their many searches was recorded! We know who they were, when they searched, what they searched for, and that they copied the data to a jump drive.

              (Adm. Rogers also ordered the facilities they had been using to be removed, and moved the entire department to become a Military command to further protect it from abuse.)

          • Indeed, that’s the first and most fatal flaw in the idea of “Red Flags.” Such a concept would be abused, would violate the 2nd Amendment, and likely would not be effective in its supposed purpose. It would just do more harm than good. It’s one thing to look backward after a crime has occurred and to wonder, “why didn’t anyone see that?” It’s quite another trick to try to look forward.

    The Hope of Glory

    We are taught in Romans 5 that the believer in Christ receives justification, peace with God, access to God and the “hope,” or anticipation, of sharing His glory some day. God wants His children to enjoy this coming glory by faith, to live in eager anticipation of it.

    How much there is to humiliate us in this life! God created man in His own image and likeness, but man sinned and fell from his exalted position. To Adam God said:

    “Cursed is the ground because of thee; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.”

    Since that dreadful day man’s life has been a constant struggle. Everything tends to go wrong rather than right. Each has his share of trouble, sorrow, sickness and then — death, the greatest humiliation of all, when in sickness and pain, or at best in utter weakness, he must give up this life itself.

    Sin and the fall! This is what modern science and philosophy fail to face up to. Most popular scientists and philosophers today hold that man has come up from the slime pit and the ape to modern man; that man is improving all the time. But the truth of God’s Word is that man has fallen through sin and is growing worse morally and spiritually until now he can kill more of his fellowmen faster than he ever could before.

    But it is this fact, this fact of sin and the fall that God has so graciously provided for. He took all the suffering and shame, paid all the penalty for our sins, and then rose from the dead so that we might rejoice in the hope, the eager anticipation, of glory to come!

    As St. Peter puts it in I Pet. 1:3:

    “[He] hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

    By Pastor Cornelius R. Stam

    Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

    1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

      Romans 5:1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
      2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
      3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
      4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
      5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

      6 ¶ For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
      7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
      8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
      9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
      10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

      11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
      12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
      13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
      14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
      15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
      16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

      17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
      18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
      19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
      20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
      21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

        20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

    “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” Matthew v. 3

    The New Testament notices things which from our standards do not seem to count. “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” literally – Blessed are the paupers – an exceedingly commonplace thing! The preaching of today is apt to emphasize strength of will, beauty of character – the things that are easily noticed. The phrase we hear so often, Decide for Christ, is an emphasis on something Our Lord never trusted. He never asks us to decide for Him, but to yield to Him – a very different thing. At the basis of Jesus Christ’s Kingdom is the unaffected loveliness of the commonplace. The thing I am blessed in is my poverty. If I know I have no strength of will, no nobility of disposition, then Jesus says – Blessed are you, because it is through this poverty that I enter His Kingdom. I cannot enter His Kingdom as a good man or woman, I can only enter it as a complete pauper.

    The true character of the loveliness that tells for God is always unconscious. Conscious influence is priggish and un-Christian. If I say – I wonder if I am of any use – I instantly lose the bloom of the touch of the Lord. “He that believeth in me, out of him shall flow rivers of living water.” If I examine the outflow, I lose the touch of the Lord.

    Which are the people who have influenced us most? Not the ones who thought they did, but those who had not the remotest notion that they were influencing us. In the Christian life the implicit is never conscious, if it is conscious it ceases to have this unaffected loveliness which is the characteristic of the touch of Jesus. We always know when Jesus is at work because He produces in the commonplace something that is inspiring.

      Much to my chagrin, after finally establishing a stable 2 cat carport domicile, I find that any food stuff left after 2000 is the coons. Coyotes and bobcats are just out back in a 7 acre “prairie preserve” AND this is still considered well within the urban sprawl of Houston, texas.

    • Pale rider says:

      My son found a little tiny baby coon in the grass by our mailbox, just one little abandoned baby. Sooo cute! We took it in, I had goats milk from raising pups so we fed it up and actually gave it some antibiotics. Called it ‘coonie’ cause well…. it was a coon.
      It eventually ate dog food with a water dish by and lived on the top shelf in our garage for a time. After several boughts with the automatic garage door he decided to go to a large pecan tree across the road and sleep. Feeding time we just called out ‘coooooonie’ and he would mosey across the road, usually stopping traffic and then either in our arms or in the garage for food. He was quite the star in our neighborhood.
      He was a ‘boar’ meaning male. The neighbors all loved coonie and wanted to pick him up as a youngster, which they did and immediately he would vacate his bowels like a super soaker. Usually on their backs because he loved to ride shoulders.
      The son who found him would carry him like a rag doll holding him around the middle or by the neck. We have family pictures of the him and coonie, pretty unbelievable now.

      Well, when coonie got his ‘manhood’ the fun pretty much went south. We came home from church one Sunday to find one of the back windows was left cracked. Coonie tore into the screen and trashed our house. Open cabinets, food sources all over the house.
      Then coonie became a full blown boar coon and started biting. Not little playful nips, hard full force clamp down, throw the beast against the wall to get loose bites. He would break into our cars, trash, whatever, and by then he was huge maybe 12″ to 18″ from floor to top of his back.
      My son attempted to bring him to show and tell one day and the teacher informed us raccoons are carriers of rabies “no way” for a visit to class. Coonie was soon given to a lady who relocates wild animals into the wild and acclimates them to the new environment. Which, i really believe he needed no help managing.
      I have seen a boar coon on my cane corso’s face wrapped so tight it looked like a mask biting and tearing into him. He eventually won but it was the fight of his life for sure.
      No, I want no part of raccoons especially around my food.

            Wild animals, birds, reptiles…etc, are not humans. Please do resist all temptations to “rescue” them, or “re-direct” them in their natural web-of-life encounters. Contact with raccoons should always be avoided. They are dangerous and carry diseases that can be deadly. A raccoon bite or attack on a domesticated cat can kill it.

            I understand our human want to save our wild animal beings. But, interference with the natural course of their life, their responses, their instincts…can create catastrophe more than a lovely story. The videos folks post of lions hugging on their human keepers may make us all go “awwwww”, but this unnatural “bond” can backfire in the worst way.

            Several months ago, I read a post from a lady who spent hours trying to “re-direct” a mother goose/duck and her babies out of rushing traffic, as she thought the babies would be slaughtered by uncaring motorists. The result of this interference wound up being completely fruitless. The mother goose/duck lost track of her babies because of this human interference. Yes, maybe some of the babies would certainly been lost to the tide of traffic, but these creatures are imbued with deep instinct to survive. Some of them may have made it back to their mother, if she would have been left to gather them as only she could. We humans have this instincts as well. However, animals/birds, etc…react to this important instinct primarily, where we humans have the ability to actually ignore instinct, because of our pre-frontal cortex…(often to our huge detriment–but that’s another story!) At the end of the day, that mother goose/duck flew away–to live again to breed and have another batch of babies. Once totally bereft of her babies, she did what she needed to do, and got away…totally unconcerned with the earlier drama. That drama created a terrible loss feeling in the lady that was trying to be of service. But, the mother goose/duck continued onward.

            We read many stories, and contribute to foundations to save abused animals. This is a wonderful thing. Coming upon a place with horses that are starving, and abused is something you never want to see. Dogs, cats, etc can be abused and left to starve. Terrible, heartrending stories. We can give or volunteer to these organizations that assist for domesticated animals. And what about folks that rescue raptor birds with broken wings, or worse–wonderful! BUT, these folks are completely trained in dealing with the dangers of an injured raptor. So many of these birds can be rehab’ed and released back into the wild. But, as an injured animal…they will react based on their INSTINCT, and not have any way of determining your desire to help them. Yes, eventually some of these animals/birds will recognize their “healers”. This is always heartwarming.

            My very long point here is to caution folks in dealing with injured wild creatures. No one can argue with the INTENT of wanting to help! These issues are best left up to our Divine Creator.

    “The Siege at Ruby Ridge is often considered a pivotal date in American history. The shootout between Randy Weaver and his family and federal agents on August 21, 1992, is one that kicked off the Constitutional Militia Movement and left America with a deep distrust of its leadership – in particular then-President George H.W. Bush and eventual President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Janet Reno. The short version is this: Randy Weaver and his wife Vicki moved with their four kids to the Idaho Panhandle, near the Canadian border, to escape what they thought was an increasingly corrupt world. The Weavers held racial separatist beliefs, but were not involved in any violent activity or rhetoric. They were peaceful Christians who simply wanted to be left alone.

    Specifically for his beliefs, Randy Weaver was targeted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in an entrapping “sting” operation designed to gain his cooperation as a snitch. When he refused to become a federal informant, he was charged with illegally selling firearms. Due to a miscommunication about his court date, the Marshal Service was brought in, who laid siege to his house and shot and killed his wife and 14-year-old son…”

    If true, this is encouraging. The article talks about the Justice Dept. using the H. Rap Brown law to prosecute Antifa and far right groups for crossing State lines to encourage, participate in or incite riots.

    KJV Psalm 89

    Psa 89:1 – [[Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite.]] I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
    Psa 89:2 – For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
    Psa 89:3 – I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

    Psa 89:5 – And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
    Psa 89:6 – For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
    Psa 89:7 – God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
    Psa 89:8 – O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
    Psa 89:9 – Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
    Psa 89:10 – Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
    Psa 89:11 – The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
    Psa 89:12 – The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
    Psa 89:13 – Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
    Psa 89:14 – Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
    Psa 89:15 – Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
    Psa 89:16 – In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
    Psa 89:17 – For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
    Psa 89:18 – For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
    Psa 89:19 – Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
    Psa 89:20 – I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
    Psa 89:21 – With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
    Psa 89:22 – The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
    Psa 89:23 – And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
    Psa 89:24 – But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

    Psa 89:30 – If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
    Psa 89:31 – If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
    Psa 89:32 – Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
    Psa 89:33 – Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
    Psa 89:34 – My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
    Psa 89:35 – Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

    Psa 89:41 – All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
    Psa 89:42 – Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
    Psa 89:43 – Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
    Psa 89:44 – Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
    Psa 89:45 – The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
    Psa 89:46 – How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
    Psa 89:47 – Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
    Psa 89:48 – What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
    Psa 89:49 – Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
    Psa 89:50 – Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
    Psa 89:51 – Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
    Psa 89:52 – Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

    The Brain-Washing War on America’s Mind and Soul
    Diana West

    There is a sinister war underway, a war of mental conditioning, as a new united front of communists, socialists, and liberals in media and politics attacks the American mind and soul as something immoral and hateful—something to be reviled as “racist” in every tweet and every news story, and demonized as “white nationalist” over every airwave, all to a point of reflexive consensus in the public square.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
    Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

    We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
    Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

    In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Gen. Flynn:

    Prayer to St. Michael

    St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
    be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
    May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
    and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
    who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

    In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    Treasury Targets Chinese ‘Kingpins’ In Opioid Distribution Crackdown

    “The Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control identified Fujing Zheng (Zheng) and the Zheng Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) as significant foreign narcotics traffickers pursuant to the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act (Kingpin Act). Chinese national Guanghua Zheng was also designated for his support of the organization.

    according to the Treasury, Zheng’s organization “used its chemical expertise to create analogues of drugs with slightly different chemical structures but the same or even more potent effect. The Zheng DTO even agreed to manufacture adulterated cancer medication, creating counterfeit pills that replaced the active cancer-fighting ingredient with dangerous synthetic drugs.”
