Rhode Island – Bob Flanders Challenges Sheldon Whitehouse in 2018 Senate Campaign…

This is one of those “stealth” races prime for an upset. The media ignore the race, and that can work to the challengers advantage. It is possible for a well structured insurgent campaign by Republican candidate Bob Flanders to use the Kavanaugh momentum and unseat Democrat incumbent senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

I think a super majority in the Senate is a very real possibility this year as well as holding onto the House. James is a very strong candidate in Michigan.

Leftists need to be slammed so hard in this election that their unborn children and grandchildren feel the push back. Let them know that their constituents demand that they stop working against the president that WE elected and either support his policies or be thrown out of Congress.

Peter, you forgot the race that I think is the one no one sees and I have been on a screed about it and that is Geoff Diehl vs Liz Warren. Look into it, if Whithouse is about to be ousted, what not Warren? Over the last month or so, she has rapped herself around EVERY moonbat cause, that people are sick of, perhaps even common sense dems and independents in MA…

That may be too much to wish for. Manchin read the writing on the wall and voted Yea on Kavanaugh. That may save his seat. Dumbos McCaskill, Heitkamp and Donnelly decided to go down in flames, by voting Nay.

I think we will pick up 3-4 seats in the Senate. I’m HOPING that the disgusting assassination attempt on Justice K will mobilize a Red Tsumami and keep the House, i.e. hold most of the erstwhile vulnerable GOP seats, and even maybe pick up a few Dem seats, but we won’t know until Nov. 7. Growing numbers of independents and even moderate Dems are awaking and realizing they do not want Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker, they do not want a shutdown of the investigation of the DOJ/FBI dirty tricks ops, and they really do not want Trump to be hamstrung by a phony impeachment operation.

The greatest damage I can think of doing to the left is voting for deLeon for Senator. Why? Because the super senior evil DiFi will be replaced with a further left, but buck private.in seniority, senator. It is a sad state when this is one’s best choice. AARRRGHHH!

Consider the Tea Party tsunami of 2010. President Trump hasn’t lost one single voter from his base in 2016, in fact, he has increased his independents and now we have the #walkaway movement moving active Dem voters over to our side.

If you’ll remember, the Chick-fil-A movement happened in the Tea Party rout – that was a religious response. What happened to Justice Kavanaugh is more than religion – it was a direct hit on law and order in this country. It was a direct hit on an orderly society vs anarchy and chaos.

I’m hoping that the voter momentum for our side, aided by POTUS’ new coalition, will mean a turnout exceeding the turnout of 2010. If that happens – we’ll keep seats and take seats.

Yes, religion is a big part of the Left’s resistance to our candidates for any Court, but especially the Supreme Court. I agree with you about the malignant media’s headlines being the takeaway for too many of the uninformed.

OTOH, I believe POTUS realizes he has to eventually get the truth out. The background information report isn’t our business per FBI candidate protocols. BUT, the information found during the investigation might be being dealt with by other investigatory routes, if not the FBI.

Just like the truth about framing Donald Trump has to come out, likely we’ll get more info about Feinstein, Ford et al and the false narrative they created to smear Justice Kavanaugh. There was lots of perjury going on in that hearing – even Feinstein committed perjury…

There is indeed a law on religion and public office – it’s called the Constitution, specifically in Article 6: “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

@ ChicagoBri, you’re quite correct in your comment concerning no religious test as a qualification to any office. However, a Muslim follows the Koran which is in itself not only their religious, but their political affiliation. so in reality their religion IS their politics. Which is a direct contradiction to our constitution. So if elected the person would be sworn to uphold the Constitution. Do you see the conflict of interest in that? Ben Carson has touched on this in the past. He was vilified for it! He was correct. A muslim should not be eligible to run for any office that requires the person to swear on upholding something that they don’t believe in in the first place.

The CT Senate became exactly balanced Dem/Repub in 2016. It was the Trump Wave. (My region went all red, except for re-election of Congress Rep “Submarine Joe” Courtney (D-Norwich)) Too bad in CT that the Lt. Gov breaks all ties. But hopefully this Nov. will change that in our favor. A couple months back a plot was hatched by the Troika of Gov. Malloy, Budget Director Ben Barnes, and Treasurer Louise Napier to pay Hartford’s debt of $550 million dollars. It was done, with borrowed bonded money. Two weeks later the CT bond rating fell.
Then “suddenly” came a State budget deficit of $500 Million. More borrowing. RI is not far from my area. It is even worse off than CT for future obligations from unfunded mandates.

Submarine Joe! Love it and how appropriate. As any rep. from that district, he must support the submarine base and sub. building industry. But it also aptly describes his personal style…keeps his head below the water line and out of sight and maintains total silence. Most people in the district likely could not pick him out in a lineup. Have known him and his family since we were little kids; even have some photos of him taken at family outings.

Kavanaugh has changed up the momentum in US Politics. The Democrats lie exposed as the Party of Smear.

Whitehouse is a horse’s ass and he might well be vulnerable if the red wave begins to surge. I am pretty confident the Republicans will pick up three or four Senate seats, but if the wind goes out of the Dems’ sails that number could easily double.

In the last Senate race in 2012 Whitehouse took nearly 65% of the vote. That is a lot of margin. Were I planning Trump’s rallies this would not be a race I would be targetting….but, Whitehouse is polling at 54% at the moment. And that was before this week of Trump victories. Might be worth a second look.

Did Sheldon Whitehouse participate in this? If he didn’t participate, did he sit silently by while it occurred? Can he prove his innocence? Since he went there, isn’t he assumed guilty unless he can prove his innocence?

Sex problems ever since. State of NH has placed the school under watch and this will continue for several years, cuz the St. P tried evasive tactics and paying fines rather than correcting the situation. Some races like Rhode Island people think they can’t win while all they need to do is make time to vote and do just that. Rhode Island is one of them!
Remember the Trump rally here during the primaries? It was small but INTENSE!
Everyone in RI sure knew about it.

And Treepers… how do they think they can beat John James in Michigan?
Remember the morning of election rally from President Trump in Michigan until 2am?

LETS DO IT! FREEDOM OR SLAVERY!

Don’t laugh at Whitehouse. He has focused the nation’s attention on one of our greatest unreported problems—teenage boys and their farts. Research in this area is also terribly underfunded.

I beg your pardon Sherri! I have been working in schools, integrated schools and all black schools for over 40 years. Farts are and will always be a problem for teachers and administrators. Since I am retired, I do special assignments. My last 90 days teaching assignment was 8th grade English. The farts were wild and the kids packed their own air freshener as a precaution. Farts come out of all colors of bodies, and they even come out of yours too.

Sorry to hear about the poor air quality in your work environment. Maybe OSHA should be notified. (Consider the OSHA reference as sarc.)

  14. Whitehouse cuts an elitist personna.

Whitehouse the son of career diplomat Charles Sheldon Whitehouse, and grandson of diplomat Sheldon Whitehouse (1883–1965).

Among his great-great-grandfathers were railroad magnate Charles Crocker, who was among the founders of the Central Pacific Railroad.

Whitehouse came from a socially and politically connected family and he followed a classic blue-blood educational track: prep school at St. Paul’s in New Hampshire; college at Yale; law school at the University of Virginia.

Whitehouse advocated prosecution of members of the fossil fuel industry under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), in order to investigate their interest in anti-global-warming advocacy.

The major problem is money. There have been qualified challengers, however the Republican party in NYS does not give them the funds to run an effective campaign because of the disproportionate majority of voters in the “Empire State” being registered (D).

I know this from the inside, not an outside observer.

That’s a big problem with the GOP. They’ve basically written off Dem majority states. They don’t contest them in any real way. That’s why I’ve been stuck without representation here in MA. They won’t even try to win. If you don’t support the candidates and give them money to get their message out there, you’re effectively silencing them. And abandoning your supporters.

If the problem is money, I just imagine every treeper and every Rush listener and every conservative awake on the Internet making a buffet of small donations to enough key races to clean up the Senate. It can be $5 – if enough people did it..

        It might be done!

Twitter HORRIBLY suppresses Gillibrand’s GOP opponent, Chele Farley. I just watch the pathetic number of likes and retweets, and it just looks terribly sad. But then I thought about it, and realized that it was basically impossible – the numbers absolutely CANNOT be true. That gave me a jump on figuring out some of Twitter’s games.

What no one has caught onto here:
Whitehouse getting voted out would make a HUGE
statement. He was one of the worst jerks during
questioning. He’s also got little coverage prior to the
hearings. Not the case with some other majors jerks
such as Corey Booker. Defeating him would be like
      Eric Cantor, part 2.

Gotta remember, most of these questions were not thought up by the actual Senators but their staff. Wouldn’t be shocked to find out that ole Sheldon’s staffers are majority Millennials, among whom such “vulgar” phrases as “ralphing” were a no-no to their innocent ears as a youth.

My very astute wife also made the point that kids today don’t drink, they do drugs because they’re easier to obtain (I know, stop and think about that for a second). So the phrase “ralphing” is very likely to be entirely unknown to the younger crowd.

  33. Whitehouse is a disgrace to Rhode Island, the Senate and mankind in general. However, Rhode Island is so corrupt one has a better chance of getting hit by lightening, twice in the same spot, than the Republicans do to flip the state. Rhode Island should “merged” with Connecticut or Massachusetts or better yet, give the state back to the Narragansett Indians.

RI won’t be going against Whitehouse. You might be able to get one of those coastal seats in a special election like happened in MA (but only temporarily), but in a regular election the machine owns it.

MI is similar. James is an empty vessel, and Stabenow is a clever and stealthy politician. Better to focus on the standard package of vulnerable D-incumbent races.

Menendez could get whacked though. He’s a corrupt scumbag and those feelings are entrenched now. A surgical hit might be made there.
