President Trump Pardons Scooter Libby…

WHITE HOUSE – Today, President Donald J. Trump issued an Executive Grant of Clemency (Full Pardon) to I. Scooter Lewis Libby, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Richard Cheney, for convictions stemming from a 2007 trial. President George W. Bush commuted Mr. Libbys sentence shortly after his conviction. Mr. Libby, nevertheless, paid a $250,000 fine, performed 400 hours of community service, and served two years of probation.

In 2015, one of the key witnesses against Mr. Libby recanted her testimony, stating publicly that she believes the prosecutor withheld relevant information from her during interviews that would have altered significantly what she said. The next year, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals unanimously reinstated Mr. Libby to the bar, reauthorizing him to practice law. The Court agreed with the District of Columbia Disciplinary Counsel, who stated that Mr. Libby had presented credible evidence in support of his innocence, including evidence that a key prosecution witness had changed her recollection of the events in question.

Before his conviction, Mr. Libby had rendered more than a decade of honorable service to the Nation as a public servant at the Department of State, the Department of Defense, and the White House. His record since his conviction is similarly unblemished, and he continues to be held in high regard by his colleagues and peers.

In light of these facts, the President believes Mr. Libby is fully worthy of this pardon. I dont know Mr. Libby, said President Trump, but for years I have heard that he has been treated unfairly. Hopefully, this full pardon will help rectify a very sad portion of his life. (LINK)

They’re trying to do the same with Trump and Flynn
Never forget McCabe altered the interview with Gen Flynn
      And this:From Kurt Schlichter:

Talk to Mueller? No, Trump Should Use His Bully Pulpit to Expose Mueller’s Corruption:

      He says:
Ask Ted Stevens’s family about the DoJ’s corruption and lies.

Ask Frank Quattrone about the DoJ’s corruption and lies.

Ask Cliven Bundy about the DoJ’s corruption and lies.

Libby didn’t expose Valerie Plame as a CIA operative. But Richard Armitage did.
He leaked that information to columnist Robert Novac in 2003.
Back then Armitage was the number two diplomat at the State Department.

FIB doesn’t want the story clouded by truth, facts, and law! But yes, you’re right–she had been fully outed and was a topic of a good deal of chatter all over DC when Mr. Libby was alleged to have engaged in such common, wide-spread chatter at a cocktail party–which he did not remember however. He isn’t the only decent or at least non-criminal person I’ve seen railroaded by overzealous/jealous FedGov persecutors, who have had no limits on how low they could go–until NOW! Until VSGPDJT!

The first action of REAL JUSTICE in this country. Congratulations to PDJT for having the courage that the former President who has fallen out of grace (W. Bush) failed to do. Bravo!

    My understanding is that:
    1) A guy named Richard Armetage (spelling may not be accurate) was known to the prosecution to be the ‘guilty party’ all along. It was always a political false prosecution of Mr. Libby.
    2) Valerie Plame was never a ‘secret agent’ for the CIA. She was a non-secret ‘desk jockey’ employee. That she worked for the CIA was never secret.
    3) Her husband (a ‘Rat appointee of some type or other) was involved (I think) in some false report about yellowcake uranium, I think involving Saddam Hussein (Hey, it was a long time ago!)

Long story short, it was a typical ‘Rat and Media operation to take down someone valuable to president Bush.

Your points are right on target, truthseeker. I have often cringed at the widely held assertions that Plame was a CIA Officer. Her position was inflated to make the charges sound more horrific. Also glad you pointed out the information about the real information.

Your memory is good. One other thing that bears mentioning is that James Comey was involved in this case. He appointed his good friend (all these DOJ/FBI types hire and rehire their good friends) Patrick Fitzgerald as Special Counsel to investigate the fake Plame outing. To no one’s surprise, all these good friends are only too happy to invent crimes in order to advance their careers and the careers of their friends. Fitzgerald, a lawyer of “impeccable” credentials, just like Mueller, Comey, McCabe, et al. managed to convict Scooter Libby, an innocent man. Is this a great country or what? I hope that part of President Trump’s MAGA plan is a plan to abolish the RICO popularly known as the FBI. (It is still not too late to tell the truth Mr. Kallstrom.)

Kallstrom in the FBI let the CIA take over the Flight 800 investigation, changing FBI 302s to conform to the narrative to make sure Clinton won re-election. Read Peter Cashill’s book.

Colin Powell knew the truth all the time and remained silent. Truly a despicable person, not to mention his vote for Obama.

Colin Powell was probably angry for being made to look like a fool in WMD testimony to the UN

        • Pursang says:

The WMD in Iraq made their way to Syria. Remember when the Russian were mad that our A10s left Iraq and destroyed a caravan of trucks led by Russian mercenaries helping Assad? Those WMDs are still being used today. The story appeared briefly and then disappeared.

          • I recall a radio interview with the (commanding or second-in-command) general of ….oh, it was a long time ago…. Syria? Russia? Air Force….. but he stated that Saddam’s chemical weapons were moved from Iraq to Syria, to get them out of the way, while the several-month’s-long American preparation to re-take Kuwait was in progress.
….. I wonder if these are the same ones that Assad used …. what, a week or two ago? and for which Trump ‘Tomahawked’ his backside?
Or…. did Assad make his own chemical bombs?
I understand he used Chlorine…. I think that was the first one tried…. be the Germans…. in WW-ONE.

Anyone who knows the story…. chip in!

This is great for Mr. Libby. And for Trump.

It is bad for the Swamp.

Trump is saying that he can pardon anyone he wants to pardon. Anytime.

    Or not.

Good luck, Brennan, Comey, Rosenstein, Lynch, and,……….Hillary, Huma, Mills, and others….

Good on PDT. This is most certainly telling those being unfairly squeezed that he has their back. Our government has become unseemly in manufacturing crimes to get people to testify against others. Those being squeezed will tell the investigator what they want to hear to relieve the pressure. It is disgusting to see our government do it.

Libby was part of that corrupt cabal of neocons that ran GWB’s presidency into the ditch. He was real close with the queen of liars, Judith Miller of the NYT, back when the NYT was actually in favor of invading Iraq. I have no sympathy for this little man but if it irritates Mueller or Comey I am all for it.
