Saturday July 8th – Open Thread

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Very nice Garrison, you find some excelent and interesting music. I loved this young man’s facial expressions, to passages in the music, he is enjoying it himself. They mimic the mood to the music. I admire the young teens who play so well, it shows all the practice and commitment for the many years he has already been playing. A very talented young man!

        • Garrison Hall says:

Yep. And, happily, virtuosity is hardly a one-size-fits-all phenomenon. The difference between this guy’s performance and, say, someone like Julian Bream playing the same pieces could not be more different yet both are wonderfully musical and equally enjoyable.

My constant companion for nine long years,
Every day, and every hour of the day.
I’ll miss you and your bright brown eyes,
Ever beside me and now gone away.

Always welcoming me when I come home,
Faithful and true up until the end.
You filled my life with your unbounded joy.
It’s much too soon but goodbye, dear friend.

On the topic of pets, I spoke to a woman who has personally had numerous dealings with the pet rescue that the odious Lena Dunham got her dog from.
She states emphatically that there is no way that Lena Dunham is telling the truth over the good people at that rescue.
If they say the dog did not come from an abusive background and had no behavioral issues, that’s it, no ifs, ands or buts.
She says Dunham is making stuff up, and she knows the group’s policies and procedures firsthand.

Saving this little boy’s life is of utmost importance. England should be ashamed that their “health” system is so rigid that they cannot think of the child first but their regulations instead. The health administrators are brainwashed with leftism and the result is a death sentence.

I am hoping this weekend, that Monday will bring the news that Charlie Gard is on his way to New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
I know it will be hard on the parents being in a strange city, but it can’t be harder than what they are going through now in that place that won’t give him up.
New Yorkers will show that whole family some love, if we get the chance.
    We Americans are good people.

Al-Azhar Grand Imam thanks Pope Francis for his β€œdefense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism”
July 8, 2017 by Robert Spencer

It’s a sad day when those in authority over their flocks lack understanding and opt to take those who practice taqiyya at their word. That is happening all over Christendom, certainly not just with the Pope. We need to pray that anyone taking a wrong path will see his error, turn around and choose the right way.

Lucille, Christ told us to love our enemies. He didn’t tell us to delude ourselves that our enemies love us. To love our enemy, we have to recognise who is our enemy. Too many Christians seem to think that loving our enemy means closing our eyes to what is really going on. The same delusion leads to accepting the attacks on the family, the unborn and so on.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen

Okay, strange garbled reporting. I just noticed a story on Charlie Gard in the NYP:
Britain’s “Justice Secretary” says government won’t play a role in the new hearing, just “judges”.
The article also says it’s the hospital that decided Charle could not go to the US.
“Judges” aren’t government? And weren’t we told it was some kind of EU tribunal that ruled in favor of the hospital and against the parents?
It sounds as if that country may be backing away from the horrid decision to allow some foreign body to act in place of Charlie’s parents.
