Right. I don’t ever remember a press conference with someone like Don King standing by the president or president-elect. Trump is truly a man of the people.

At 3:45, that Don King laugh, that’s exactly how the rest of us Trump supporters react when Trump blasts the press.

I love how when he comes out he always asks “How are you doing? Everything ok?” I think he is making sure they have food and drink. I find it quite charming. Maybe the press will finally start to like him. I hope so. It’s so awful to have the constant attacks.

  6. Great visual with Don King. The more PE Trump is seen with black/Hispanic people, the more he is bringing America together. Don looked like he’d had a few. Very happy and supportive of DJT.

It’s simply amazing how many YUUUUge issues that PE Trump can be juggling and still know the exact details of each, not confusing names or processes with one another. He must have a very organized mind.

    • I found that part interesting as well, especially in light of Trump’s tweet about things not going smoothly. Interesting that bammy called Trump as well. There is definitely a high stakes game going on between the two.

BHO {watching impromptu press conference): “It was NOT a nice conversation! I laughed at him and taunted him and gave him a terrible time! How can he say that so calmly! Grrrr! WHAT can I do to get under that guy’s skin?”

king is a little too clownish for my tastes but what the hey… keeps the press guessing. by tomorrow at noon, they’ll be asking if trump will be appointing dk as ambassador to south africa or some such.

I swear to God I love this man. He talks serious domestic and international affairs with Don King in his wonderfully outlandish America First outfit by his side. The image is glorious. This is the new “presidential” and I am just tickled to death about it. It’s been Christmas for a year and a half.

And as far as that attempt at an embarrassing question from the black cnn guy asking about how many “celebrities” would be at the inauguration, all I want to be in attendance from such a meaningless category would be Don King and Clint Eastwood. Even these two might seem out of place. It should be seen as a solemn, sacred ceremony.

My husband and I were talking about how so many “celebrities” and “people who think they are above Donald Trump and his band of Deplorables (aka voters)” are bad mouthing any one attending Donald Trump’s Inauguration. I started to cry when my husband said it reminds him of the Great Banquet in Luke 14 —

“Jesus [speaking]: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’

But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’

The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’

‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’

Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’

A solemn, sacred ceremony attended by the least of these. What a glorious event it will be.

OK, I’ll admit it — I followed Don King around like a puppy dog when I saw him at the Republican National Convention. He was guarded like crazy so I could not get close enough to have my picture taken with him, but I got a couple photos of him wearing one of his fabulous U.S.A. jackets. The two Dons — I just love it!

This reminded me of the post-meeting press session (2 week ago?) with Ray Lewis and Jim Brown at Trump Tower, talking about the Amer-I-Can project. If the press can get some grub and a little celebrity flash for their patience, they’ll probably love this new type of short and unscheduled Q+A.,

DJT shows once again , he is not a band-aid fixer, he will fix things right. VA for sure , but he is already thinking about cybersecurity. He references computers, but I know he is thinking of the big picture. We need more forward thinking when we are bringing new product / policies forward without how to foresee all the needs to maintain them. We didn’t hear much outrage as , us consumers, get our info hacked , abused, and sold throughout the world.

I think you’re right, and it’s been bound to happen. Trump’s popularity will grow, it already has, and the press knows the necessity of giving the public what it wants. I predict inside of a year all but the most virulent media outlets will be singing the new tune.

I don’t think they’ll full fledged support him, but I think they’ll be at least HONEST or PRETEND to be honest about it. Kind of like Katie Pavlich is doing on Fox now… she hates Trump, but she acts like she likes him for the money. She’s civil. Can’t really ask for more than that.

Don King is a very successful businessman that knows the “Art of the Deal ” very well indeed ! Over the years his public regalia has changed to suit his intent and audience, but never forget behind all the sometimes clownish behaviors and glitter is sharp mind. I’m sure PEDJT doesn’t; else Mr. King wouldn’t be alongside him ! And, yes, the tenor of the media has changed for the better ! Some might be attributed to how the Trump Organization treats them, ( politely unless they push him ) but there’s also the underlying knowledge the landscape has changed and professional ethos – not slavish obedience – is the performance standard.

For quite some time, I’ve been looking for a copy of the interview of Don King by Frank Deford. It was a very entertaining interview, and at one point Deford asked about King’s hair, and why it sticks up the way it does (or did). And King replied that it was reaching up toward God. I seem to remember King having troubles at one or more points in his life, but I think he’s come a long way, and I see more clearly now that Trump has been the kind of loyal friend that everyone should have.

My total two part guess: 1) Trump has set a goal of making black Americans part of the MAGA coalition, and 2) he will succeed. How beautiful would that be?

He loves all Americans and believes in all of us.
Think of how much power and force America will be able to project if just 25% of unemployed blacks are able to gain solid, well paying jobs. Before LBJ, they were a valued part of our work force. Their families tight, hard working, proud and optimistic for the future. They will bring many good things to the workforce. DJT knows this and will find the key to help them make the transition.
