Kellyanne Conway Interview Morning Joe…

Lots of chatter today about Donald Trump comments surround Hillary Clinton prosecution vs non-prosecution etc. as congress is pondering further investigation into personal email issues.

To concern voices I would remind: #1) Consider the source of information. #2) Who is more valuable to have as SoS. [tamp down] and AG.  #3) The email Clinton issue is “less than” – Remember, it’s the foundation… two Clinton captures are better than one… follow the money.

Also, don’t think Correct The Record (David Brock) is finished just because they lost the election. CTR has a vested financial interest in everything Clinton.  Think long-term.

So the bottom line is nothing has changed.
‘Trump says no when asked if he is taking investigations off the table for Clintons but adds he doesn’t want to hurt the Clintons’. (Ny Times Maggie Haberman tweet from Trump meeting.)
Pretty much what he said a couple of weeks ago

It’s possible nothing was mentioned “because” he signaled no desire to go after HRC. If nothing comes of the sever and leaked emails, even if they say they’re going after the foundation, this would not be a good turn of events. A large portion of his support came from those who want some sort of justice. Not vengeance. Justice. And to send a clear signal to those who’ve convinced themselves they’re above the law that the rules apply to them too.

This election cycle wasn’t about sending a message to the elites only to be forgotten after the election. Ryan, McConnell and Boehner gave us enough of that. This election was every bit about us vs. them and DJT was the beneficiary of the “us” vote. Again, to do nothing in the face of an outright disrespect of the American people puts DJT every bit in the “them” club. No matter how hard Chelsea lobbies Ivanka.

Your concern has been noted. Trump is President elect not The President of the United States of America at the moment. I am going to assume A. Youre a troll B. Youre a troll that kinda sucks at it. C. You are a patriot and have watched too much MSM.

If you are not a troll it seems that you are new here. It will help your nerves to go back and read previous articles on this site. There is this nifty search function called a calendar you click the date and boom there they are previous articles. If you have time start at President elects announcement of running.

I’m not sure how he reconciles “they’re good people” and “the foundation has done good work” and “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons” and Conway’s “help Hillary heal” with the chants of LOCK HER UP he heard from the RNC convention up to now. Surely he understands how his voters feel about that witch, so I fail to understand the wisdom of engaging in this kind of talk.

      • So what do you want. Trump to come out and say Hillary will be in Guantanamo. I am deporting all 20 million illegals. I am banning all muslims in the first 100 days. He first needs to take office and get his cabinet picks in place and pass his legislation. Right now he cannot put a stop to the riots and his supports being attacked so why make it worse. He knows his supporters will not go out and riot over this. Has he lied about anything so far? NO because he is not in office yet.

How is upholding the law vindictive? It would take all of a half hour for Trump to call in his AG, tell him he wants a real investigation. The AG or DOJ appoints a Special Prosecutor, they take the evidence in front of a Grand Jury. After Hillary is found guilty they could engage in some kind of plea bargain to avoid years of prison. Like six months in prison, ankle bracelet for two years, give up the Clinton Foundation, forbidden from starting any non-profit, give up pension and SS detail. If he won’t do that then he needs to pardon every person convicted and imprisoned for violating the same laws Hillary violated and quit calling himself the “law and order president’. No boarders, no country. No laws, no order.

All she had to say is what you just said so well–“We have an attorney general to make decisions regarding the nature and scope of investigations, and prosecutions, and criteria exist for his exercise of his discretion in those areas, and I’m confident he will do his job.” The failure today isn’t about whether HRC skates so much as it’s about a needless controversy that exists precisely because people talked about things they have no business talking about, and hinting at decisions should not make.

Don’t panic. I have confidence the man knows what he is doing. He knows the forces arrayed against him, it’s way worse than when Reagan came in even though the Republicans have the Congress too; there are packs of back-stabbing RINOs too infesting DC and they have long since given up any concerns for the rest of us.

The Clintons are irrelevant for practical purposes as of now. We are in the most dangerous waters, probably ever, on so many fronts. IF the new AG simply starts doing his job there will be political firestorms all over the country because the “swamp” is also in every big metro, one-party DemoMafia locale. All they have to do is start asking for an accounting of where all the federal money went and it will be like throwing a rock into a rat’s nest. I can hear the shredders humming away already. That’s just for starters, recall the seemingly innocuous reports that even made it onto CNN about the “missing trillions” at DOD.

Forget the Clintons. The problem is the people still in power. Letting them go might buy a little peace from the remnants of sane Dem legislators who have got to be sick of what they know has been going on all along too. We’ve got to get Jeff Sessions in and hope for somebody with a spine at DHS and ICE. Right now we’ve got people in charge there who think “Clockwork Orange” is home movies.

      THAT is Trump’s job.

The Clinton’s are now just rich, lying grifters.

THAT job should and will be prosecuted by a prosecutor and law enforcement of a virtuous and respectful law abiding government.

This has to happen before all investigations can proceed.

Look at the EPA and the BLM. They also have have American blood on their hands. Along with a novel’s worth of law breaking immoral behavior.

There was an Australian 60 Minutes show that talked about a pedophile ring in the UK government.
There was a large pedophile ring uncovered in Ohio about 10 days ago.
Those are clues that there MIGHT be something.

On the other hand, links and dodgy wording and supposition are not evidence. I remember those women hanged due to the Salem Witch Trials.

Bad taste in art is not evidence. Talking about pizza is not evidence.

I want to see some actual evidence. This would include such things as catching someone with a child, photos, DNA evidence, bodies, etc. So far we do not have any of that.

I am not saying this shouldn’t be looked at, but criminal investigations needs to be done by law enforcement, and decisions about this can’t be made based on suppositions on the internet.

But I do want action on Klinton, by someone, fairly soon (next year or so) or at least see lots of progress towards it (an active investigation or two, not being stonewalled). And what KAC said sounded like there never would be action taken, and that Trump would oppose it if it ever happened. That’s a far cry from putting her on Trump’s back burner and letting the AG or FBI or someone like that deal with it, which I could certainly understand and agree with.

I’m guessing the importance you place on Hillary being prosecuted or not depends on how well you are doing.

Myself, my family and millions more in this country are hanging on by a fucking thread. Hillary going to jail will not bring one job back or send one illegal alien out of this country. It will not pay our bills or put food on our table.

I think some have let their anger cloud their judgment as to what the priority should be.

I’m looking at my sister and her husband, who because of the oil business going down the tubes will soon lose everything they have spent a lifetime working for, which includes a home and two hundred acres of land.

I’m looking at my brother, who is retired now and if SS and or Medicare won’t pay for the operations he needs on his legs, he may well lose both of them due to diabetes, just as his grandfather did. They’ve been pushing it further and further down the road and denying him at every turn. Meanwhile his legs are so swelled he has a hard time walking to the bathroom to take a piss. This is a man who volunteered and fought for his country in Viet Nam, and I see illegal aliens get better treatment than he does.

This is the shit many of us face. It’s real tears we cry and we aren’t crying because Hillary isn’t in jail. TO HELL WITH HILLARY CLINTON!!!! She is irrelevant!

I have to decide this by 1/31/17, last day of open enrollment. As it is, I am probably not paying my December premium, nor January since I am not enrolling now. I wish I could get just a catastrophic plan to tide me over. They don’t exist.

Somehow, Hillary wearing an orange jumpsuit is not on my immediate concern list either, as much as I have HATED her since 1992.

Trump did NOT say that prosecution is off the table. If you have been following the campaign closely over the last year and a half…Trump NEVER takes anything off the table. That leaves him leverage.

You are putting words into Trump’s mouth by saying “he has no desire to prosecute the Klintons AT ALL.” Think 3D chess!

I think it is important that people disappointed with the idea of taking a continued investigation off the table make their disappointment known. Trump has said repeatedly that he is our voice. He has asked that we send our ideas to his transition team. I believe that once the President Elect realizes that Ms. Conway’s statement was not well received by many of the people who helped elect him, he may have a very different view of things.

My view on the matter is quite simple: This case must be treated like any other case, which means law enforcement investiga\tes, and an uncompromised AG decides on how, or if, to proceed further. This is NOT a decision for a president to make, unless we are talking about a pardon, which he certainly has a right to consider. The decision must not be a political one, that is improper. We have a rule of law, and a decision to prosecute must not be made based on politics, nor must a decision NOT to prosecute be based on politics. Leave this to Mr. Sessions.

I call it like I see it. And if IF this is his intention, it tells me that he sees himself as a ruler and not the chief executive officer who upholds the rule of law. Even worse, it means he rules by emotion, not principle. Draining the swamp and being the “law and order President” are principled positions to take. Selectively applying them is not principled. It’s emotional. It leads to statements like “they’ve been through enough”. Its dangerous.

Ya know…Trump’s “peeps” do not go on MSM talk tours to “leak” info…..There is a strategy here regarding the Clinton’s IMO.

I believe Trump is playing “Good Cop…Bad Cop…” with his messaging. I don’t think Trump wants to go head to head with Obozo on a pardon issue, because he will appear spiteful & the MSM will present it as a “vendetta” against Hillary.

Better to let the chips fall as they may & have Obozo gone prior to any potential “investigations” get under way full fledged.

Congress. IMO, is going to be the “Bad Cop” in this at some point. Trump needs to present himself as the “Good Cop” for the time being. His best position is reconciliation towards Hillary & then letting Congress (Gowdy & Co) do their thing to get an investigation under way whole heartedly at their urging & their actions alone.

Trump can then simply sit back & say …”That’s what the Justice System if in place for….let Justice take its’ own path….” without appearing as the antagonist. If Congress “demands” more substantial & truthful answers and desires to follow up on prior testimony Hillary made before them, then the new DOJ could simply step up, at the request of Congress, without any appearance of partisan intervention by Trump in any manner. He is now on the record for “forgive & forget” as far as his position is concerned.

Kinda brinds to mind a line from the movie “Hunt for Red October” by the late Fred Thompson……
“The Ruskies don’t take a dump without a plan, son….”

IMO, neither does Trump. Let’s see how this all plays out, but I believe Trump is going to “back door” this issue & get the Clintons, at the very least. out of the political arena permanently for sure….Maybe even a more fitting ending is “in the works” right now.

They screwed up today by giving the unmistakeable impression that Clinton is completely off the hook. Either they mean exactly that, or they need to give Ms. Conway much better marching orders and a prepared answer to the inevitable “Clinton” questions. Let a grand jury see all the evidence and decide if there is a case. Anything else looks like politicians in a Trump Administration will continue to get preferential treatment. Is the swamp going to be lowered or drained?

All Trump had to say is that we will follow the rule of law and remind people that we are nation of laws and not men. He would have had the moral high ground because Hillary’s lawlessness would be the reason he was forced to do something he personally didn’t want to do.

Ok…I just watched this and I see no reason for everyone freaking out. Re: Clinton charges–clearly there’s a reason they wanted to put that statement out there and to put it out now. We might not know that reason yet or ever, but I can tell in the way KAC discussed it was there’s is a specific reason, and not because Trump just woke up feeling nice.

She also did not say it was so that she could “heal”, but she phrased it in a way that meant if healing was a side effect then that’s a good thing.

So for whatever reason, he has decided that it’s for everyone’s higher good right now that he doesn’t immediately pursue it. He sees that there are other things he has to do and be first.

On another note, what if HRC is dying? What if he knows that if he doesn’t back off he will be prevented from the WH? What if his family was threatened? What if he doesn’t want to be killed like other people who have challenged the Clintons? He doesn’t have the luxury of waltzing into the WH like other past presidents after they won the election. There are too many people out there still trying to stop him. I think our main focus should be on making sure he gets in and not worry about specific wording. What if, what if, what if. I think you are overlooking that it is not within the president’s duties to determine whether a criminal investigation will go forward, or whether a prosecution will take place. That’s why we have a DOJ.

Wouldn’t you be howling of Obama, 6 months ago, had said, “I really think the Clintons have suffered enough, and I don’t intent to ‘go forward’ with a prosecution.” I’d have called for his impeachment, how about you?

People here, in their admiration for Trump–which I share in spades–are overlooking the LAW. A president has no business inserting himself into matters relating to criminal prosecutions or investigations. It’s really that simple. All a president can do is issue a pardon if he wants to. Other than that, hands off, and let the chips fall. That is how we do business in this country, and Conway and Mr. Trump must be made to understand that.
I cut Trump slack on this because he is not a prosecutor, was not a judge, has no experience in this arena. He will learn fast, I hope, as a result of today’s needless dust up.

    Here is the partial transcript.

Note the question of HRC’s prosecution was rasied by Scarborough, which leads me to think this was pre-planned by both Morning Joe, Trump and Conway.

After listening to this excerpt several times I would bet this was all Trump’s idea, for reasons we are not yet privy to.

The point is, when he was campaigning for president he was allowed to say certain things – like “She should be in jail” – because he had not yet been elected.

Now that he IS the PEPOTUS, it’s not legal for him to decide who does and does not get investigated, prosecuted, much less go to jail. There is separation of powers and Trump can’t be seen as s tyrant who would take the law into his own hands.

But WE know Sessions, as AG, will NOT shrink from carrying out his duties as chief law officer.

Anyway that’s what I took from a very careful listening to the segment.

Joe Scarborough started the questioning about Trump’s stance re: HRC. (BTW, who instructed him to start the show that way? Where dud he get this “breaking news?”)

Joe: “So obviously the breaking news this morning is that Donald Trump is not going be pursuing an investigation against Hillary . . .

“Do you think he’ll encourage Republicans on the Hill to stay away from that as well and focus more on their legislative agenda?”

KAC: “When the President Elect, who is also head of the party, tells you before he’s even inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members.

HRC still has to face the fact that many Americans don’t find her to be honest and trustworthy but if Donald can help her heal perhaps that’s a good thing.”

Let Sessions deal with this without fear or favor, based strictly on the facts and the law. No more should be said by Trump or his surrogates on whether there will be a prosecution or not. Frankly, it is not Trump’s call to make. That is why we have a Dept. of Justice.

    Hello.

Please let the Elected Mr. Trump begin to govern; it is a complicated job, try to figure out what he is doing, rather than why he wrong, and needs your special advice.

Be prepared to stand with the American Patriot, bearer of the American Mission, brunt of the slander and insult. He is the Champion of America, the Greatest Government in the history of the human kind.

People who are worrying that Hillary or Bill Clinton are going to skate have no idea the shitstorm that is about to come down on them and many others. Remarkable work has been done by Charles Ortel in cataloging the criminality that is the Clinton Foundation. There is no way for them to prevent prosecution at this point. Believe me, as soon as Obama is out of office, I think things will move very fast. This is not just a federal matter. President-Elect Trump is well aware of what’s on the way. He knows more about what is going on than we’ll ever know. I think it’s time to bring back the phrase “Let Trump be Trump”.

President Trump will not have to do a thing when the time comes- nor should he. That will not be his job. His job is to make America great again. I really don’t want him to spend one minute of his precious time on that hag. He will already have to spend considerable time determining how much damage was done to the nation’s security by both her and Obama. That is a far more important job.

Of course, everyone has a right to express their opinion in the Treehouse. But those who feel that they have to post comment after comment after comment saying the same thing, well what are you really trying to accomplish? No seriously. It’s very boring to read your posts. It’s like you are trying to convince everyone else that you are right. This is not about you or what you want. Enough already!

Generally I want to thank sundance for posting these clips of interviews on MSM. I can’t stomach watching them all day like I used to, so showing a 6 minutes clip is, well, a 6 minute clip of MSM. My point is I can stand 6 minutes here and 8 minutes there but that is more than enough for me.

BTW, Kellyanne looked like she is burning the candle at both ends. I know it was early, around 7am, but she needs to get a little more sleep. Few can keep the hours of God Emperor Trump the Elder – it appears as if some of the inner circle are showing some wear and tear.

Meanwhile….an interesting little article over on Hot Air by Jazz Shaw regarding some grand jury indictments on Governor Cuomo’s inner circle. ( http://hotair.com/archives/2016/11/23/ny-governors-top-aides-indicted-on-sweeping-corruption-charges-is-hillary-next/ )

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara is the “bloodhound” involved in that investigation. The same U.S. Attorney investigating the Anthony Weiner case and who also announced in August he was investigating the Clinton Foundation.

JMHO … I believe Trump is definitely playing a game where we aren’t going to understand all the moves and motivations until the game is over. Remember…Trump previously stated he wasn’t going to announce combat plans and would remain unpredictable to the enemy.

    WAR!!!
