Michael Moore Explains Part of the Reason Why Donald Trump Will Win…

Salty Language Alert.   Despite the gender-centric flaw in his expository, much of what Moore states is structurally, albeit narrowly, sound.

From the perspective of a ‘once-middle-class-connected’ Michigander, Hollywood producer and movie director Michael Moore explains part of the reason why Donald Trump will win this election so handily:

John Stossel did a great interview with him years ago and cut fat boy down to size…Moore was ripping American healthcare and Stossel said something like…” well, don’t you think people that look like you put burden the system”. It was classic. The slobbed out Moore had no answer…

I like that, “secret Trump admirer”.
I don’t know why people like Michael aren’t more open about it. Did Donald change, somehow, just by saying he wanted to run as a Republican? Isn’t that what Michael wanted? Someone to reform the Republican Party?
The things that gave me pause, back when I was a not-so-secret Trump admirer, and he was first discussing running, are things that really shouldn’t bother Michael. You know, the crudeness, the vulgarity.
It must be the patriotism that turns him off. Donald doesn’t hate Americans.

    Wow! What a great speech!

He must have left the L.A. bubble and went home to Michigan and talked to people. Normal people. It was an excellent speech that I enjoyed. I want Washington to be blown up. Or at least get the swamp drained. Maybe a wrecking ball. And Trump is the wrecking ball. I want serious disruption. After all, isn’t “creative destruction” an American talent?

But what is Mr. Moore’s intention? To get Trump supporters into his movie so he can flip them? I wonder.

I think the good people of Michigan just want clean, first world drinking water for their families, and jobs, jobs, jobs. Does Michael really want to be seen as having stood in the way of those things? If Obama was going to provide those things, he would have done so by now. Michael is not a moron, he sees that.
It must be killing him to see how wrong he’s been.

The Michael Moore video “TrumpLand” is an emotional Trojan horse.

His trick is to empathize with the Trump supporter to draw them in. Once you are listening, he gives a list of your grievances and says it will “feel good” to vote for Trump.

Then Mr. Moore pivots and says “it will feel good for a day”. Then says if elected Trump will betray you and you will be sorry.

      As if.

And what will it feel like to vote for Hillary? Like crap for the rest of your life. Just on the issues Moore claims to care about, Hillary is going to screw him over and he knows it. Hillary doesn’t care about the middle class and Moore knows it. At least with Trump there is a chance he will do what he wants to do. Heck if Moore gets on the Trump train and helps Trump win he might even be able to get Trump’s ear on middle class issues.

But the problem is that Moore like many others like him are either full of it or only want the middle class to prosper if democrats are in charge. Going to exclude Moore out of some of this. But many on the left like free speech but only if it is what they want to hear. They are full of it.

With that said I would like to thank Moore for at least showing me and other Trump supporters some respect and courtesy by saying we are not racists and pretty decent people. I guess saying Mr. Trump is one too is a bridge too far but at least we are making some progress over what Hillary, her people, and the media has said about Trump and the people that support him.

What all the pundits who say Trump will betray us or will “negotiate” and fall short don’t understand is that while that’s not what I hope for or expect, it’s OK with me and should be so with all Trump supporters. We started this with the mantra, “Trump isn’t our candidate–he’s our weapon!”

I want him to destroy the establishment and most of all to destroy, murder, deconstruct, and salt the ground where Clintons, Bushes, Roves, Emmanuels, Axelrods, Jarretts, Soroses, Murdochs, Bezoses, Blankfeins, et al. lived and worked. I want FedGov brought to its knees and forced to get back in the beautiful, compact, perfectly constructed box our Founding Fathers made for it–the Constitution. If Trump doesn’t do these things, he at least begins paving the way for us to do them.

Trump’s election can achieve one great goal–denying the presidency to both Clintonistas and Bushies. With that alone, he will likely have saved the USA as a sovereign nation and empowered our majority citizenry to take control again.

Americans have no idea that Moore’s anti-American drivel corrupts English-language programs in public schools in Europe. The usual Spanish or German language program is all about how wonderful Spain is or Germany is – the food, the tourist sites etc etc. The English as a foreign language programs are anti-American! Using Moore’s ant-gun, anti-US propaganda, they have nothing nice or factual to say about the US.

I know how it does — because I’ve seen the programs and their material — him and whathisface the Super Size me guy, and just about every hard left TED talk are used as listening materials (or create the basis for the written materials) in just about every standard textbook….including the grammars. I know, because I’ve taught ESL. Fortunately there are ways to get around the curriculum materials (which don’t do a great job of teaching English anyway) — but it takes work, and the students are already well prepped by the media: AP and Reuters is global.
Although I would add that “they already hated us or at least were resentful” for quite a while now, a lot of it is just so much ego stroking that gets them to full hate mode. There are some out there who buck the mold, but they are rare.

If you’ve taught ESL, then you already know that many immigrants choose not to put their children in those programs, as they don’t want them to take a backseat right off the bat. Why would you want your kids not to have the same education the other kids have, when that’s what so many people come here for in the first place?

ESL, unlike the US English courses taught in US schools actually has grammar and spelling and comprehension. So, frankly at this pathetic point in America’s dirth of actually educated adults running schools, it’s a better strategy for parents to put all the US English-speakers into ESL as it still has something useful to teach.

That is an understatement. You’ll never guess what the correct answer to this question is out of the English book for high school age students in Europe:
“What was the reason for the American Revolution?”

          The correct answer was:
          “Killing British.”

I know, makes an American laugh out loud, but let it sink in for awhile – to really get a sense of how nasty that is to teach children that in an English-teaching book that kept emphasizing just two moments in US history- JFK’s assassination and slaughtering Indians. Nothing about how nice English-speaking America is, the climate, the wonderful sights to visit, the food, how safe it is for visitors…etc etc.

Moore is promoting his film. He is cunning, and he is dangerous. His “explanation” is all about revenge of the plebs. The same plebs — white working class men whose livelihood was destroyed by the globalist elite aided by the Hollywood propagandists like Moore — who the Ivory Tower dwellers despise and who the esteemed NRO writers want to shut up and die (remember?). He is promoting the idea that Trump incites the proletariat by promising things he “might not believe himself.” He implies that Trump is a dishonest manipulator. Another projection of the left!

The 35% tariff is probably the last thing that motivates the vast majority of Trump’s supporters.

Don’t get fooled by his criticism of Obamacare. First, Moore is a fan of Cuba and the government-run healthcare for the masses (he won’t use it himself, though); second, Obamacare is unpopular, Obama is leaving so it is safe to bash it now; third, he knows the Clintons will dismantle Obamacare anyway if elected so he is not running a risk of alienating them. Single Payer is the goal.

TLDR; Moore is a con artist, don’t be a tender woman, don’t take the snake in.

(Also, and it is apparently okay for the commies like Moore and Maher to use foul language on TV.)

Africans speak two-three-four languages. The democrat-controlled school monopolies insist US blacks can’t be expected to master even one and have yet to meet a US ‘educator’ who can find Africa on a map without help.
Not one of the US educators could pass a standard teacher qualification exam required in other countries to be hired by a school. Inner city or suburb, both. They aren’t ‘educators’ because they don;t know anything. They aren;t teachers because they know nothing, explain nothing, hand out packaged papers and say ‘do it.’
Their solution under pressure to improve is to buy computer programs to ‘teach’. Who would put a computer disc in charge of a football team? Nobody. That’s ludicrous! Preposterous! But they put a disc in charge of the academic classroom and have the nerve to demand more money for the same non-performance crap when un-educated US kids continue to fall further behind the rest of the world.

Not all teachers are stupid. I taught middle school math and I made As in advanced mathematics and I aced the language portion of my certification.

Do you actually think teachers make decisions about computer programs? Do you think teachers have any say about how they teach or what they teach? They are monitored constantly to make sure they “stick with the program.” You blame teachers for everything, yet that’s like blaming the guy who bags your groceries for the rising prices at the grocery store. Sorry. I have an expectation that readers do understand that there are always exceptions to every general statement. There are individuals in schools who have individually pursued personal competencies and they are much appreciated. But they are in a minority. The few we’ve encountered in the US eventually left the schools in frustration. Yes, the administrators are absolutely part of the problem, everything above them. Not impressive to find life-long ‘educators’ who believe Africa is a country – that they still couldn’t find on a map. That means for decades, they never look at a globe or world map, ever. So much for a ‘culture of learning.’
Note also that I never said US education staff are ‘stupid.’ That was your word. Just like the fact that ‘teacher’ is not the same in any measure as the ‘educator,’ as produced by the US education structure, likewise ‘ignorant’ is not the same as ‘stupid’ but means lack of knowledge. A ‘teacher’ has a depth of knowledge to convey to students. ‘Educators’ are not required to have a diploma in any subject math, science, history. Thus they do not have a depth of knowledge to convey. Since the 1960s, they also were taught that ‘teachers’ were authority figures (bad) so they would be ‘facilitators’ watching students ‘figure it out’ by themselves. Add to that, the US education system operates on a fallacious philosophy of assumptions of innate talents rather than skills and knowledge acquisition. Kids are evaluated at entry as ‘good’ in math or they are ‘bad’ in math and are placed to stay that way, never given opportunities to improve. It’s easy then to deflect the blame year after year for a failed program by blaming the kids for not having the ‘genes’ to succeed when elsewhere in the world knowledgeable teachers teach kids to become skilled in any subject. When they encounter them, US schools then quickly call those other students ‘geniuses’ implying strongly to the American students that they have no hope of achieving the same, because ‘geniuses’ are born not made.

Trump may actually be someone who can bust this all up. His first wife and current wife were European-educated and probably have given him an earful for years of how messed the US education is – with very clearly-detailed explanations and comparisons to show how and where. Right now, it’s always throw more money at the same people from top to bottom who screwed it up in the first place. The definition of insanity.

Few people have the opportunity to spend years in the US education system and then years in other countries to be able to profoundly compare them on many levels, but it’s an huge eye-opener and the contrasts are stunning. If Americans really knew what was going on instead of being fed misleading information, they’d be furious to see how much their children were cheated of what they could have easily learned over the years, in less time and less work.

Teachers have absolutely no say in the educational materials they present. They did, long ago, but no more. Everything you list as a fault of teachers is in fact a construct of a federalized, top-down education system ( which needs to be imploded, IMO). Educational administrators are perfectly happy to hide in their office buildings justifying their existence by having meetings all day on the taxpayers’ dime, dreaming up more ways to interfere in the classroom, while directing the public to point the finger at beleaguered teachers for institutional failings.

I think Americans have absolutely no idea how bad it has gotten for teachers, I only know a little about it from talking to a couple of current teachers socially, because it’s been on a downward trajectory since the beginning of the new century, which was the last time I was more closely involved.
I should say it’s been on a more steeply downward trajectory. I do not blame the teachers.
How many people know that students not in a “special education” program can nonetheless get special exemptions for things like spelling, so that their grade can be equal to a student’s who took time to correct hers before handing it in? Did everyone know that a student who did not write his own paper can only be graded on the quality of the work, and not the fact that it isn’t his?

I have an aunt who used to teach high school and junior high school in the public school system. She was an English major. She made mostly C’s in college. She especially made C’s and even D’s in courses like physics and chemistry. She ended up teaching physics and chemistry classes to the high schoolers.

Ironically, she started out in life conservative, but by the time she went through her mandatory brainwashing courses at college (that is, her required coursework to get her teaching credentials), she was a flaming liberal. So it is that she whines that teachers need more $$$$$.

            Need I say more?

I understand that some teachers are great. But there is not common sense vetting for a person to teach, other than earning their credentials, otherwise known as their libtard brainwashing certification. It is not likely that he has changed. If he has, Mr. Trump will let us know soon enough.

Same with Bill Whittle – whose videos always have slightly and subtly evaded/missed the whole truth and leaned toward the side of the globalist/establishment.

If Moore has changed, we will know it.

Perhaps this segment is why the media panned the documentary. They know what he is saying in the 4 minute segment is partially true.

    Don’t be fooled.
The video is from Moore’s new film, “Trumpland”. On “The View”, Moore described the scene that contains this speech:
“I go into a town that’s about 80% Republican, in Ohio and perform this one-man show for them.”
In other words, It’s theatre. Like Stephen Colbert’s “Republican” alter ego.

    From the Washington Post:
After explaining away Trump’s appeal by pretending to bemoan the impending extinction of “angry white guys,” then mounting an essentialist argument about why women are more enlightened, peaceable leaders, he leaves the rostrum to sit at a desk, where he reads from a far more convincing essay on Trumpism as a “Molotov cocktail” being thrown into a political structure that has systematically betrayed the working class. Should Trump be elected on Nov. 8, he shouts, it will be “the biggest f— you ever recorded in human history.”
After a few ill-conceived video skits and more than a few cutaways to the uncomfortable-looking crowd, Moore gets to his real mission, which is to make his audience warm up to Hillary Clinton…

I wonder if Moore secretly wants Trump to win. Moore’s big issues include:

    1) American factories moving to Mexico/overseas leaving US inustrial cities hollowed out.
    2) Bad trade deals like NAFTA &TPP.
    3) Neverending foreign wars & US sending troops too many places.
    4) The influence of big banks & corporations on our political system.

Other than health care (he wants single payer) I cannot think of an issue where he disagrees with Trump.

Maybe voting R over D is a bridge too far for Moore, but it won’t be for many in the rust belt cut from the same cloth as Moore.

Single payer is better than what we have now, overall. People get furious with me for saying that. Single payer is not, however, superior to what we had before, in enough aspects to justify scrapping our flawed system. The people who thought our system was fine as it was were just as wrong, imo, as the people who wanted to dump it for single payer. Not as wrong as the people who think Obamacare was an improvement, though.
It was always a false choice. Either keep the racket that Big Health Care had become, going along unimpeded, or switch to a system where the medical care provided was inferior to what you can get here, if you can pay for it.
That’s one of the things that burn me the most, about the rigged system. The way they get to frame the debate and nobody calls them out on it.
America deserves better than a phony choice between a corporatist racket and a socialist second-rate program. We deserve better than having it presented to us as such. We deserve better than having two Uniparty candidates, Romney and Obama, giving us a ‘choice’ between their versions of Hillarycare.

The fact that the vile Moore can so clearly describe what the movement behind Trump is all about (although he does seem to miss the fact that it isn’t only White male middle class, as he implies) and yet still clings to Hillary tells you everything you need to know about Michael Moore.

He is one of the tiny minority of real ideological leftists that I have talked about before. Most people who are on the left, or consider themselves “progressive” or “liberal” or whatever aren’t really ideologically that way. If they fully understood the ideology, they would never embrace it. In truth, they are mostly center-right to center-left with a penchant for voting emotionally, not logically.

But Moore is an ideological leftist. Sure, he rails against corporatism, but he recognizes it as a necessary tool to achieve his progressive ideals. He wants America, as far as what we recognize as America, to be destroyed. He wants class-based, endless struggle to issue in State collectivism. He may lament the loss of industry in his home state, but inwardly he cheers it on. Massive poverty is the path to class struggle.

And the way to get there is to eliminate, or at least severely reduce, the middle class. The “lower Bourgeoisie” as his ilk likes to call us; people who have a decent job, have the ability to own a house, and a path to a relatively comfortable retirement. People who own things and have an actual stake in the economy. Because, as long as there is a strong middle class, there will never be a class struggle. Even now, the anger in this country is not directed at the rich specifically. It is directed at the “elite” which is less of a class and more of a group of people who have taken too much power. They are specific, while “the rich” is more generic.

Class struggle is the key to Marxism. The endless Revolution against the bogeyman rich person. It’s purpose is to unite individuals into a faceless mob that overthrows the system and replaces it with a new elite. An ideological elite. With a small group of people given all of the power to dictate people’s lives in accordance with their intellectual pursuits. Because “they know better” how you should live your life.

In a word, Michael Moore is a Communist. And I mean an actual Communist. He might deny that, and even really not believe it. But Progressive, Communist, Marxist, and Socialist are all the same thing. Jell-O comes in many flavors, but it’s still Jell-O.

It is entirely possible that Moore actually hopes Trump will win and then utterly fail. He may think that Trump will actually do a lot of damage to the country, and for an ideological Communist, damage to America is a good thing. But I suspect his recent warnings about Trump are just that; warnings. They are meant for his ideological comrades to hear. To “wake them up” to who and what Trump is and what the force propelling him means to his cause.

I think he is scared to death of Trump and of us.

I don’t think Trump supporters see Donald Trump as a human Molotov cocktail. That’s how the petulant liberals see things: if I don’t like something I’ll burn the whole place down. Trump supporters see him as the first and last chance to fix this system. They want this fixed, they don’t want it burnt to the ground. They’ve tried to fix it through the establishment, but it hasn’t worked. But they know that the election of Trump might blow the whole thing up, but at this point what other choice is there? Even without an election, the message the people are sending is crystal clear: either fix this system the easy way, with Trump, or the hard way, but this won’t go away even if Trump is denied.

Way back during the early days of trying to piece together what just happened to our country, I came across this article by Michael Moore, which said some things I was feeling about the whole Bernie Madoff episode, but couldn’t put into words:
    http://content.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,1894410_1893837_1894189,00.htm
I was uneasy with the way the MSM was putting this one guy up there as the face of the whole financial collapse, when he didn’t really have all that much to do with it. I remember seeing Whoopi Goldberg screaming on the view – “Why is she still living in that house?” about Mrs. Madoff and her 5 million dollar apartment. Whoopi didn’t seem to understand that, at that point, Madoff hadn’t even been charged with a crime, let alone convicted.
As I learned more about what transpired, it became clear to me that the SEC had to have been warned off of investigating Madoff, but the media just brushed it aside as being “unclear” why they didn’t. We also don’t know where the money is, do we? People pointed to that apartment. Really? He stole 65 billion dollars and spent it on an apartment? We still don’t have any answers, nor will we, because the questions would lead toward more questions we aren’t allowed to ask.
Anyway, when I saw that article by Michael, I wished then that his intellect weren’t so obstructed by ideology, because he could have been a true voice for reform.
