Security is a very tough job. There are years of boredom followed by a few seconds of activity and someone is always willing to second guess you on what you did wrong.

The intruder is on high alert and at the ready, it is very difficult to maintain high alertness for years on end.

InvestingforOne and Mike: “Old” does not necessarily mean “broken down.” “Old” can also mean: years and years of experience, knowing what to look for, the “wisdom” that comes with age. I say this, not at all having any experience in Security, I openly admit. However, I AM sensitive to mis-characterizations of “old” people. Wouldn’t the best security team have both “old” people with years of experience, coupled with younger men (+ possibly women) with more physical agility? If Assange has any control over his security, I would think, if possible he cold get advice from Israeli Security — I have no idea if that is possible but I would think they have some of the best.

One of my favorite movies with one of my favorite actors — Tommy Lee Jones –involves an “aging” sheriff: “No Country for Old Men.” I can’t even recall if Jones/the sheriff “gets” the killer in the movie. It has an ambiguous ending, as I recall. But the movie did impress me for its “reflection” on “old” people.

The character’s injury was horrific, would require surgery. So if he could manage to get medical care without being detected, then he could get away. Without medical care, he’d have to self amputate his arm. Maybe he could pull that off, he was a sociopath.

I took the ending as karma finally catching up with him, even if the law didn’t.

    Think of Trillions.
The biggest Trillions they worry about is the 500 trillions in Derivatives floating out in the markets.
That’s 500 Trillion with no assets behind it. Bubble does not even begin to describe it.

Debt? The US could easily create 50 Trillion more through spending and FED creation in 4 years.
And it won’t go into the economy. Any more than Obama’s 9 Trillion did. And Obama has received 20 Trillion in tax revenues in eight years. So he’s pissed away to friends and cronies 29 Trillion.
Hillary could do much more. She wants to raise taxes and confiscate estates.

Trillions more for wars. Earlier I talked about war costs on another thread. Trillions is easy to reach when the Pentagon can’t find 6.5 Trillion using their accounting system. It’s not “gone”. It’s just not accounted for. Maybe they’ll find it. Don’t bet on it. They never found what Paul Bremmer lost in Iraq, billions. When you can’t find billions, you certainly can’t find Trillions.

This is the most corrupt nation on earth. We just found out the numbers. Trillions.

At the risk of sounding cheeky that would depend on what you mean by a complete reckoning. With the understanding that all globalists are not American.
I think there will be a number of ways the corruption within will be reckoned from actual jail time, confiscation of assets, loss of position, end of pension, visa revoked and black listed from government contracts to name a few. Other countries are going to have to deal with their scum. American taxpayers cannot be forced once again to pick up the tab for in this case global corruption.

      • which is why I feared, early on, ‘they’ win either way. Either Hill wins the Presidency and continues the deception, fraud, charades, etc. OR DJT wins and once he is appraised of the full scope of the screw job he just won full charge of, he will realize this is too big for him – for anyone to fix – or he will die trying and the media/forces against him will ruin his name and memory because things are sooooooooo fu*$ed up.

Today: i have full faith and confidence in DJT and God being on the side of the faithful who try to do what is right. If it can be fixed, he will be able to do it because of his extensive management background and proven track record AND because he will have 100 million patriots wanting him and helping him to succeed! I do believe it’s our last shot, friends.

Bull Durham: Re: your line: “this is the most corrupt nation on earth.” Agree. Needs to be repeated. For one thing, (I think I said this before someplace), it helps people to understand the “why” behind support for Hillary (or at least partially). So many people are so used to seeing corruption in so many ways for so many years…it’s almost like it has no effect on them. It’s the whole public sector, not just corruption at the federal level: state, county, public works, etc. I’ve lived in various regions of the country, and I see it everywhere. It’s almost become ho-hum. Many people know that if they see/experience corruption in their jobs, their best bet — if they want to keep their jobs — is to just ignore it. Not even acknowledge it. Things have become much worse over the last 10 years.

It just needs to be described to the American people in terms that they can get their minds around. To many of us, those numbers are incomprehensible. Turn them into how many average homes that could buy, how many trips to Disney, how many four year degrees, how many tanks of gas, etc.

Then frame the crime in understandable ways? What is racketeering? Most don’ understand it, when people talk about RICO, no one understands it, BUT if Rudy were to say that the Clinton Foundation has been caught taking bribes in exchange for favors, they understand. If we say Hillary’s so-called charity only gives 10% to those causes whereas Samaritan’s Purse gives about 95%, and other religious non-profits give 100% to the cause they raise funds for, then people understand and support the investigation rather than buying into the “vast right-wing conspiracy” deflection.

The ESF , which resides inside the NY FED, is the supplier of all the black ops funding. The US Treasury could not get away with ‘creating’ the funds above board for everything from the cold war to Crooked Hillary funding arms for ISIS. The money used for these field ‘operations’ started to add up quickly and forced a run on Treasury gold supplies in the 50’southeast and 60’s. They needed a way to continue to inject billions which adds to trillions to maintain dollar hegemony without causing problems with foreign trade exchange (gold) and the international balance of payments.

The answer was to close the gold window (putting pressure on INFORMATION gold reserves) which eventually led to the petrodollar.

This transformation allowed the introduction of the ‘super note’ which contained all the security features of real money except the one critical feature of specialized ink. This allowed the Supernote to circulate outside the country to fund ongoing operations (including trillions through the pentagon) that couldn’t be put through normal budgets. If these notes circulated back to the US they would instantly be picked up as counterfeit. That’s why they check with a special pen at retail centers and that’s why the Mullahs would not accept crisp $100 bills for payment of the ransome.

      • jmclever says:

As far as I understand, the reason the $400 million ransom payment was not in US currency is because there is a law against it to prevent exactly what just happened with Obama’s $400 million ransom payment. I think it was put in place after Regan took office after the Iran hostage crisis.

No doubt the Clinton’s are not happy that their attempted murder was a failure. They seem to be getting pretty desperate. This was obviously an attempt on Assange’s life. Who the hell would want to try to steal anything from an embassy? There would be nothing there worth stealing.
My guess is that Mr. Assange will know who is behind the hit. He will likely order the immediate release of everything he has to the on the Clinton’s to every news agency on the planet.

Some kind of “hyper-reality” that we never dreamed of before? With Assange, I try to take comfort in 2 thoughts: 1) I read somewhere that he recently got a kitten — as cat-lovers here know, that will help a lot to give him comfort; 2) Let’s say he does somehow, down the road, “make it out” of the embassy. He will have a multi-million dollar contract /advance for a book, and possibly a movie on his life’s story. That will enable him to buy the best security that money can buy for the rest of his life, which he will, of course, need.

The tweet is misleading: jones was on a voluntay basis checked into a private psychiatric hospital & they mistakenly allowed him out to “take a walk.” this is when he jumped in front of the train. Read the article. He had apparently a long history of problems with depression, difficulties with medications, etc. Also some mention of “marital difficulties” although who knows? The lawsuits mentioned in the wilileaks tweet refer to possible lawsuits against the mental health care institution for having allowed him out to take a walk.

Sorry. I want to be supportive of Assange but I also don’t want to be running down rabbit holes chasing conspiracy theories.

I went on some site talking about deaths associated with the Clintons, and I kid you not, this is one such death mentioned: apparently there’s a doctor somewhere who diagnosed Hillary with alzheimers & guess what: this doctor’s father just died, and of course the Clintons “did it.”.

There’s enough real- world bad stuff going on.

And I don’t mean to impugn Assange’s reputation. No doubt he is very courageous, and the most important thing to me; no one has ever questioned the authenticity of the emails he’s publishing, such as on the DNC machinations.

He has to be under a lot of stress & perhaps not thinking clearly which is apparently part of what happened to his lawyer. And not sleeping. That often goes with stress and alters the ability to think clearly.

Couple this assessment of the MSM with the recent fundraising appeal by the Clinton campaign which mentioned shutting down Breitbart. I am assuming that this information is correct — I have not heard of/read any denials from her campaign. As I recall the email appeal used words like “It has no right to exist.”

This attack on Breitbart, I believe, is in response to its promotion of Clinton Cash, which pretty much blew the lid on the Clinton Foundation, Across the political spectrum, the Foundation is now viewed as her Achilles Heel. Even left-liberal media have called for it being shut down, Including the Boston Globe (which endorsed Clinton) and, most recently, The Huffington Post.

      Breitbart started that ball rolling.

It is not just Hillary et al attempting to assassinate Julian Assange. There are entities involved who are currently pressuring the Ecuadorian Government/Embassy to expel Assange in hope to dislodge him. He has been laying low on his tweet since he exposed the murder of Seth – who enabled Assange to expose the Hillary campaign, DNCe et al rigging the primaries on behalf of Hillary. Assange tweeted his awareness about planned assassination to those few he is in contact with in the UK. Then there is Klein’s interview with the reporter where he stated about the major October surprise dump planned by Assange that involves Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton and Cheryl Mills directly and their actions in the middle east and Hillary as SOS. That info supposedly exposes emails from her server and national security among a few other major revealing dirty deeds and more. He said that is that dump of October surprise that caused this entity and Hillary et al going absolutely bonkers and causing them into overdrive to take Assange out before this WikiLeaks can take place.

It appears to me that Mr. Assange has long understood that his life is forfeit. I assume he has already made the necessary arrangements for an autopsy, news releases, and burial.
I also assume that Mr. Assange has already made the necessary arrangements for the “dead man’s switch” and/or the other trusted people who have copies of the WikiLeaks documents, to release all the rest of the files in the event of his death.
It may well be at this point that, failing a crude attempt like the “cat burglar” situation, there are other means that the Clinton Machine/George Soros/others who want Mr. Assange eliminated, will explore, including, but not limited to: increased pressure on the embassy to throw Mr. Assange out with “safe passage” to another location; an “insider job” of assassination performed by a suborned/paid off embassy employee; Putin-style poison in a cup of tea (he’s done that to people on his own “hit list”.
For those who believe in prayers, perhaps it is time to include Mr. Assange in them. Even if one doesn’t approve of his actions.
